AJ had the opportunity to show her just how much he liked his new bed, before Ashley retreated into her bathroom with a specially engaged makeup artist. It wasn't actually like Ashley to spend a long time getting ready for anything, but this event was to be something special, and for once she was taking the time to look the part. She'd made AJ go into the living room then while she got dressed, so he would see the full effect at once.

She stepped out of the bedroom, biting her lip, eyebrows raised.

"Do you like it? I'm told the paint is edible."

Ashley was wearing a long skirt which wrapped around her waist and hung close to her body, in red trimmed in gold cloth (cloth similar to this). There was a matching wrap which draped over her arms at the elbows. Her hair was in an intricate Roman style, half piled on the top of her head in twists and braids, with curls hanging down over her shoulder. But the piece de resistance was the top half of her body, which was bare, save for a golden dragon painted onto her skin. It's tail disappeared under her skirt and body stretched up her torso, its wings spread over her breasts, its head curving around her neck. And down her back, ruby red fire burst from its mouth, glittering like jewels. Gold Roman sandals and blood red nails and lips completed the look.

"Ready to go?"

Ashley reached out for his arm, and took it with a smile, noticing how handsome he looked. They walked together, not rushing, towards the space that had been carved out of the Red Wing especially for the night. Jack was already waiting, and Alek arrived at the entrance about the same time they did. Alek's entire body had been painted gold, with his scars overlaid in red, so they stood out as nearly fresh. His chest was bare, and he wore Roman style pteruges of gold around his waist, over half a red tunic. In his hair he wore golden olive leaves on each side, clearly to indicate that tonight, he was Caesar. Ashley looked up at Savage, thinking that no one looked more an Emperor than he did. The four of them processed in, Ashley flanked as promised by both Alek and Savage, with Jack walking behind.

The space had been transformed into a lavish display of red and gold. The kills from the hunt the day before were roasting on spits, while platters of fruit and other delicacies were arranged at various places around the room. Filmy fabrics decorated the walls, framing specially constructed mosaics in the ancient Roman style, depicting mystery cults and rites. Red members and servants, all in Roman dress, roamed the party. Fountains flowed with wine, and servants walked the room to pour rarer and more expensive vintages into their guests' cups. Upholstered couches and stools made impromptu seating areas, while more fabric curtained off private nooks for more intimate encounters.

Part of the floor had been removed so that guests could see into the level below, where Red Guardsmen dressed as gladiators fought each other on a sand floor. Padded benches had been constructed around the depression, so that the fighting could be viewed from above and enjoyed by the guests, while servants brought them food and wine.

Seeing that everyone was in attendance, Ashley stepped forward to welcome them all.

"Welcome, honored guests. The Romans never reached us in the North, so we knew nothing of their greatness. When I traveled Anglia with my father as a girl, I was amazed by the stories the local people told of the brave conquerors, whose city walls still stood, many hundreds of years later. I was entranced by these soldiers from long ago, that valued strength, loyalty, honor. Today, these are the pillars on which we have built our Red Court. We invite you to celebrate with us tonight, at this, our Roman Bacchanalia, when we pay tribute to the ideals on which this club stands."

Ashley raised her hands into the air, indicating the room around her. Waiters began to pass out golden goblets, each inlaid with diamonds in the color of their new owner's court: red, black, or white. Ashley took her own goblet, and raised it in the air.

"A gift, from the Red Court. Please, eat, drink, enjoy the festivities. Servants are here to cater to your every desire."

Ashley met eyes with Juliette for a moment, with a smile.

"And never forget the words that make us what we are: power without consequence!"

Ashley raised her cup in salute, then drained it, motioning to those assembled that the party had started.

Awesome!
After the Queen's meeting, Ava gave John a run down of what happened. While the wounds were still fresh, there were slowly starting to mend now that the air had been cleared between herself and Haleigh. And despite trying her best to be supportive with Haleigh's pregnancy, she still harbored a bit of jealousy and resentment that she couldn't share in what Haleigh was experiencing. But that was on Ava to figure out, and she wouldn't allow her personal emotions and feelings to put on display as they were during the meeting again. John and Ashley knew she was still struggling and that it would take time, but beyond that, she would represent herself as the cold hearted Black Queen she had come to be known as, any sign of weakness left in the catacombs of their meeting.

The rest of the afternoon had went by rather uneventfully after the meeting, with Ava and John getting ready for the party. Apparently it was Roman themed, the resident Greek finding it quite amusing. Deciding on a beautiful black floor length Grecian dress with diamond encrusted trim holding a black sheer panel of long flowy fabric along one side of her dress , a slit carried all the way up one side of her dress [without the sheer panel] to her upper thigh, exposing her leg. Her chocolate hair was left loosely curled per usual with a beautiful golden snake crown that mimicked a Grecian fig leaf crown. Her eye makeup was smoked black and her lips nude, creating a look fit for the Queen of the Underworld. John looked as handsome as always, dressed perfectly to compliment her. They both arrived to see the majority of both American and European Courts were there, minus a few stragglers. But it wasn't long before the Red Court made their grand entrance, Ashley flanked by both AJ AND Alek causing Ava to lift up a surprised brow and turn to John.

"That's unexpected..."

She whispered as they made their way into the party with Jack following behind. Soon Ashley began to her speech, the servants around them handing out golden goblets encrusted with the colored diamonds of their court.

Ashley: "Welcome, honored guests. The Romans never reached us in the North, so we knew nothing of their greatness. When I traveled Anglia with my father as a girl, I was amazed by the stories the local people told of the brave conquerors, whose city walls still stood, many hundreds of years later."

Ava leaned into John with a smirk.

"Not from us."

She quipped, the rivalry between the Romans and Greeks famous in history. The Trojan War? Won by the Greeks. But Ava had no ill will toward Ashley's fondness of the Romans, but she still couldn't help but joke about it, taking pride in her own heritage.

Ashley: "A gift, from the Red Court. Please, eat, drink, enjoy the festivities. Servants are here to cater to your every desire."

Ava's eyes followed a gorgeous blonde servant who passed by, her lips curling up lasiviciously.

"Perhaps we can get a jump start on Paris...."

She purred, her hand slipping around John's waist as she kissed his neck.

Ashley: "And never forget the words that make us what we are: power without consequence!"

Ava raised her goblet.

"Here, here."

Taking a sip of the wine within it, the music began once again as the party officially started. Ava to turn to John with a smile, her fingers running along the outside of his ear.

"I'm linked with you and the rest of the court this time. We need to make sure if Cameron comes back tonight, we're all in communication."

Hellfire - The White Wing

Brienne: For fuck sakes, maybe you should make a little notation the next time you invite guests to your house stating that magick is off limits. How the fuck was I supposed to know considering your Princess and mother in law are both witches.

Haleigh at Brienne like that was the stupidest thing she'd ever heard someone say.

"Are you serious? Do you even hear what you're saying? My in-laws are witches."

Haleigh replied, but still, Brienne did not seem to fully appreciate the egregious nature of her offense.

"Just wait until you get in-laws, then you'll understand. Anyways, they use enough magick around here to make it annoying."

She said, and then she went on to suggest she was considering retaliation. Brienne apparently found that amusing, clearly underestimating the Praetorians flanking Haleigh. But despite her posturing, she did indeed explain herself, saying that she amped up Haleigh and Alek's red hunt tryst.

Brienne: So sorry to disappoint you, but that's the extent of it. No voodoo, no hexes. Just me, trying to pass the time at an utterly boring event.

Haleigh chuckled.

"Well, I certainly didn't find it boring. I'd apologize for stealing your entertainment.... but I'm not sorry at all."

She replied, and then Zach appeared in the doorway, quite amorous with Brienne. Haleigh made her presence known, and Zach straightened up a bit, though Haleigh didn't miss the fact that he continued to hold Brienne in his arms as he explained why she'd be staying in the White Wing. Haleigh smiled, and told Zach she did appreciate all work he was doing this weekend, purposely implying he was currently working, though Zach had seemingly chosen Brienne himself.

Brienne: It seems all the men in your life are quite the worker bees.

"Yes, and all loyal to their Queen, as you've no doubt learned."

Brienne: I'm quite certain you're not here to see me, so i'm going to go get ready for this party. [evenly] Unless there's anything else you'd like clarification of?

"No, no, that will be all Brienne, thank you. Have fun at the event. Zach? I've got an update for you. Walk me to my suite?"

It wasn't a long walk, and really their short conversation could have been had at his door. But after how catty Brienne was being, Haleigh reveled a bit in pettiness. Zach of course had a few questions, which Haleigh resolved before briefing him on what was expected of him. Then he went back to finish getting ready for the party, while Haleigh went into her suite to do the same.

Brienne really had no reason to believe magick was so frowned upon when coming into the weekend, especially from the White Queen considering Haleigh's mother and sister in law were both witches. But apparently she had just as turbulent of a relationship with the King woman as Brienne did.

Haleigh: "Are you serious? Do you even hear what you're saying? My in-laws are witches. Just wait until you get in-laws, then you'll understand. Anyways, they use enough magick around here to make it annoying."

Brienne looked aghast at the idea of in-laws. That meant marriage, and who the fuck would be stupid enough to do something like that?

"That sounds horrific.....touché."

Brienne deadpanned with a little shrug. Still, what she did was harmless, although the lasting effects of Haleigh likely becoming pregnant because of it weren't lost to Brienne. Needless to say however, she did manage to explain why she had used magick, dodging that particularly obnoxious bullet. The Archer situation on the other hand was a completely different ball game.

Haleigh: "Well, I certainly didn't find it boring. I'd apologize for stealing your entertainment.... but I'm not sorry at all."

Brienne lifted her brow at Haleigh's obvious peacocking of winning Alek. Did she not realize she won a man who would likely become an afterthought once the White King returned? Such a waste, yet so incredibly entertaining at the same time. Brienne knew the King's well, and it would be a cold day in hell if Cameron agreed to keep their little 'open marriage' open any longer.

"I do hope your husband returns soon. Though i'm quite certain he won't find your entertainment as riveting."

Brienne grinned just as Zach wrapped his arms around her from behind. He was kissing her neck when Haleigh cleared her throat causing Zach to explain why Brienne was there. Haleigh made a snide comment about Zach's continuous work throughout the weekend making Brienne evenly comment about how all of Haleigh's men seemed to be busy little worker bees.

Haleigh: "Yes, and all loyal to their Queen, as you've no doubt learned."

"Indeed."

She curtly responded before snapping her fingers and sending her luggage into Zach's room. She asked if there was anything further Haleigh wished to interrogate her about, otherwise she was going to go change for the red party.

Haleigh: "No, no, that will be all Brienne, thank you. Have fun at the event. "

Brienne resisted the urge to roll her eyes at Haleigh basically dismissing her like she were some servant. Instead, she gave her a sweet smile.

"You as well."

Haleigh: "Zach? I've got an update for you. Walk me to my suite?"

Pealing out of Zach's grasp, she turned around to eye him, her icy blue eyes filled with disappointment at the thought that he was indeed working her like Haleigh had suggested. She brushed past him, disappearing into his bedroom to get changed. It didn't take long for Brienne to dress, because her dress was basically nothing at all. On each wrist were two large golden cuffs, and her heels were gladiator style and gold in color, wrapping up the length of her calves. She pulled her straight hair into a low pony tail with some pieces framing her face [as seen in picture], and her makeup was neutral with a strong and exaggerated black winged liner. It was as 'Roman themed' as she would go for this party.

Brienne heard the door to Zach's suite open, her eyes lifting in the mirror to look behind her to see him walk into the bedroom. She didn't say anything immediately, instead looking back down at the bottle of perfume she had in her hands, spritzing some onto her wrists. Finally, she turned to face him.

"I'll wait for you to dress."

She stated as she crossed his chambers, heading for the living room.

Hellfire -- The Red Queen’s Suite

Ash commented on how cute AJ was in his wolf form. AJ turned to look at her with a crooked smile.

"Well, I can't be too cute and fluffy, or else you wouldn't have been able to resist petting my fur."

He said triumphantly, as if he'd won a debate. Then he asked if she thought Alek would keep up his end of the deal, but Ash wasn't too worried about it. She called him very smart, in a round-about way, and also told him he would make an excellent Bishop. He beamed a bit, and then his brow crinkled.

"Thank you, My Ashley, but we already have an excellent Bishop, have we not?"

He asked, referring to Jack, who was a good friend. His Queen mentioned the opportunity they had, to groom the future Red Princess to take Ashley's place, so they could go to his cabin for good. He did not want to argue himself out of what sounded like paradise, but he wondered if she would not miss being Queen, or if she might miss her friends, their 'pack'. He didn't ask. There would be time enough for that discussion later. For now, she was touching his chest, looking at him in that way that excited him, suggesting they tide themselves over before the party.

He eagerly followed her to bed, declaring it his new favorite place in Hellfire, and the time passed too quickly after that. Savage almost growled when the servants came in to help them dress for the party. Ashley insisted he get ready in the living room, probably because he was still trying to paw at her even with the humans around. Reluctantly, he obeyed. It was easy to dress for this party, and even with all of it on, he felt less restricted than in jeans.

He wore no shirt, a choice he knew would please his Queen. His lower torso was girded with leather and gold medallions, his waist were two knife with handles made from tines of the last elk he'd killed. From the leather waistband flowed long red panels of fabric that draped over his legs. One of the servants braided his hair back, and then another painted twin claw marks over his pecs, stretching back over his shoulders to his back, where a fierce wolf was depicted. He was just tying leather gauntlets on his wrists with strips of red linen when his Queen emerged.

Ash: Do you like it?

He was speechless for a moment, even forgot to breathe. Or he couldn't, didn't dare to.

"You are too beautiful. I cannot stand it."

Ash: I'm told the paint is edible.

"God, have mercy, we cannot leave this room."

He said, taking her hand and getting her to turn so he could see the back as well.

"What flavor is the paint? No, do not tell me. I will find out soon enough. Let us get to the party, before I maul you."

Which he would no doubt do, as soon as he could get away with dragging her into a corner. They met Jack at the entrance, dressed like a Gladiator. The little bear was there too. He was trying a bit hard, but then he usually did. Into the party they went, and Ashley gave the opening toast. Savage looked around, spotting all the Red Guardsmen that weren't in the fighting pit, pleased that this event was well secured. He turned to his Queen, his gaze taking her in again, as if the first time had not been enough. Then he took a deep breath, and reminded himself that there was work to be done.

"This is the final event, and it will be well remembered. You have outdone them all, My Queen."

Hellfire - The White Wing

Zach had assumed Brienne was talking with the servant who’d finally delivered her belongings, so he snuck up behind her and began to nuzzle her neck, thinking maybe he could get her riled up a bit, to tease her for leaving him alone in the shower. And then he heard Haleigh make a noise, and he looked up like a kid caught stealing a cookie from the jar.

He recovered quickly enough, and explained why Brienne would be staying with him tonight, and Haleigh barely blinked at the news. Her and Brienne went back and forth a bit. Zach sensed Brienne get a bit irked when Haleigh thanked him for the work he was doing this weekend, but all in all they seemed to get along fine. Certainly it wasn’t a bad as Brienne had insisted it would be.

Zach got a chance to ask Haleigh all his lingering questions, and she told him how they were planning on dealing with Cameron's return, if he was still upset. Zach hoped he wasn't, because if so, it was likely to get really bad. Haleigh reiterated that action against their own King was a last resort, and Zach nodded, offering to help as much as he could. He made his way back to his suite, to find Brienne all ready for the party.

"My, my, you look amazing."

He said with a smile. She told him she'd wait for him to dress, and he promised not to take too long. He donned a white tunic, and body armor, as well as the rest of the livery of his ancestral warriors, greaves, gauntlets, and even a sword, the Gladius that had been handed down through the generations of his family. He clasped a white cape onto his armor, and then he was ready as well, offering Brienne his arm. He leaned in a bit as they walked.

“It’s not work when I’m with you, Brie.”

He said quietly before they entered the party. It was all quite magnificent, every bit as glorious as he’d imagined. The Red Court arrived, and Ashley raised a toast, gifting each member of the Inner Circle with a diamond studded goblet and kicking the party off. Zach felt like a kid at Disney World, unsure of what attraction he wanted to see first.

Brienne was dressed in record time, the little material of her dress not leaving much to the imagination. She was spritzing on some perfume when she heard Zach come back from his chat with Haleigh. Looking up in the mirror to see him enter, she turned as he complimented her.

Zach: "My, my, you look amazing."

"Thank you. You ancestors certainly know how to keep things simple."

She quipped, referring to how a simple wrapped cloth was considered stylish back in the day. Of course, she was wearing a far sexier and up to date version of what would be considered a Roman tunic, still, it was quite quick and easy to put on. Which meant it was even easier to take off. Brienne began to cross the room, telling Zach she would allow him to dress to which he responded that he would be quick. And sure enough, they were soon heading down to the Red Party, arm in arm. Zach was wearing body armor that covered...well, his body. It was disappointing, but he still looked incredibly sexy. As they entered the party, Zach leaned into her.

Zach: “It’s not work when I’m with you, Brie.”

Brienne looked over at him, a bit surprised by his admission. He must have picked up her disappointment from hearing Haleigh suggest that he was in fact working her the way Alek had been. She simply smiled a genuine smile, her arm tightening around Zach's as they went further into the party. Soon Ashley, Alek, and the rest of the Red Court arrived, making a grand announcement before saying a toast and telling everyone to enjoy themselves. She had to admit, the Americans certainly knew how to throw a party. As everyone began to disburse to enjoy the festivities, Brienne looked to Zach seeing how excited his eyes were as he looked at everything around them. He looked like a kid in a candy story ready to take a taste of everything, but there was one particular thing Brienne wanted him to taste first.

Brienne leaned into Zach as she pulled him to follow her.

"Come here...I think you might be interested in this."

She suggested casually, leading him over to one of the private rooms that had been draped off in beautifully thick and elaborate fabric. Slipping inside the room, it had a red velvet couch, some matching sitting chairs, and a table. It definitely looked like an intimate lounge that someone could use to get away from the chaos of the party. Turning around, a seductive smile was spread across Brienne's lips as she hooked her fingers under the bottom of Zach's body armor, pulling him to her.

"Correct me if i'm wrong..."

She started, her tone sexy and playful. Brienne's fingers took ahold of Zach's, gently running them along the hem of her dress closest to her inner thigh.

"But ancient Roman's didn't wear under garments...right?"

Brienne's brow lifted inquisitively as she guided Zach's fingers directly across her wet sex, her mouth parting at the feeling. She wanted Zach more in that moment than she had ever wanted anyone before. He actually treated her - and continued to treat her - like a human being, and not a job or obligation that needed to be met on orders. She leaned her body against his, keeping his hand right where it was, as her free hand moved along his jaw. Her icy eyes met with his, her lips just far enough away to speak.

"I want you....."

Brienne exhaled out, her lips finally connecting to his. She didn't know much Italian...but she knew enough to get what she wanted.

Whispering between their kiss.

"Prendimi..." [Take me...]

The Red Queen’s Suite

After Alek left the room, Savage took human form once again. She pouted a bit, telling him how cute he was.

AJ: "Well, I can't be too cute and fluffy, or else you wouldn't have been able to resist petting my fur."

"You didn't even give me a chance to scratch behind your ears or rub your belly."

She raised an eyebrow at him with a seductive smirk.

"But I guess I'll just have to pet...other things."

They talked about the likelihood that Alek would keep his word, and she told him he would have made an excellent bishop, her arms looping around him.

AJ: Thank you, My Ashley, but we already have an excellent Bishop, have we not?"

She nodded, smiling.

"We do. I'm just saying, in another life, you could have been either Bishop or Knight."

She pressed her body tighter against his.

"But then I couldn't keep you next to me all day long."

Talk of heirs soon gave way to other things, and they spent an always too little time in bed before they both got ready for the evening. AJ looked like a dream. One she had had, actually. She wanted nothing more than to jump on him at that exact moment, or, even better, to have him jump on her. But she did want to know what he thought of her outfit.

AJ: "You are too beautiful. I cannot stand it."

She beamed at his praise, and then seductively told him that the paint was edible.

AJ: "God, have mercy, we cannot leave this room."

She laughed, and he turned her around to see the back as well.

AJ: "What flavor is the paint? No, do not tell me. I will find out soon enough. Let us get to the party, before I maul you."

She took his arm, but leaned against him to whisper.

"That would be much better than a party."

When they reached the entrance to find Jack already there, she nodded to him approvingly.

"I'm surprised a man who doesn't dance has no problem with revealing costumes."

She laughed good naturedly, a high melodic sound.

"You wear it well, Bishop."

She leaned in towards him, lowering her voice.

"Any word from Heidi?"

Ashley knew the White Knight had been dispatched to find Cameron. It was time for their entrance, and she again took AJ's arm, making sure Alek was on her other side. Her toast went well, she thought, and afterward Savage turned towards her.

AJ: "This is the final event, and it will be well remembered. You have outdone them all, My Queen."

"It is time the other courts recognized we are not their poor cousin."

Ashley's eyes roamed the room, pleased that so many had embraced the evening's theme. She noticed Zach, looking as handsome as ever in his armor, had Brienne on his arm. That raised an eyebrow, but of course Haleigh would send him to romance the visiting Black Queen - not only to get her away from Alek, but to secure a better alliance for her court.

"Now if we can just make it through the evening without a telepath cutting a swath of destruction through the mansion, we'll be good."

Her arm curled around his, her fingers slipped between those of his hand.

Alek: "Ashley."

Alek approached her, and she was pleased to detect no sign of his customary eyerolling, though she could tell it was a challenge for him. He sidled up to her, taking a drink from his goblet, to speak lowly to her.

Alek: "I want to add a codicil to our agreement."

Ashley pretended to think about.

"I'm not sure why I would allow the terms to be changed now, but go ahead, tell me what you want."

Alek: "I want Siphon named as our Rook."

Ashley looked at AJ, thinking about it, then back at Alek.

"Done."

She started to lead AJ away.

"He's down in the pit. We can tell him when he's finished."

The Black King & Queen's Suite

John was thankful that the meeting with Haleigh had seemed to go well, and Ava did seem to be a bit better upon her return. He gave her the highlights of his talk in the Lounge with their court, and he thought they had been relieved that they weren't going to war against the other courts. No one wanted to have to fight the White King, though, but they would do their duty, as always.

He wasn't terrible keen on costumes, and thankfully Ava had decided to stick to inspiration rather than all out togas. That meant he was able to slip into a reasonably comfortable black tunic with silver trim and loose black slacks. His Queen, however, looked like the queen of the gods. He let out a low whistle when he saw her.

"I wish I was taking you out on the town rather than to this party."

He smiled, offering his arm, and together they did indeed head to the night's festivity. Ava commented on Ashley walking in with not one but two escorts, but that's not what John was looking at.

Ava: "That's unexpected..."

"Uh, yes, but did you notice what she'd wearing. Or not wearing?"

Ashley got up for her toast, and he grinned as Ava just couldn't help herself from joking about Romans v Greeks.

Ashley: "A gift, from the Red Court. Please, eat, drink, enjoy the festivities. Servants are here to cater to your every desire."

He noticed Ava notice a servant, which was promising.

Ava:
"Perhaps we can get a jump start on Paris...."

Her hand came around his waist, her lips kissing his neck, her voice sexy as hell. He dipped his head so his lips were near her ear.

"Having an appetite for blondes today, eh?"

They all raised their glasses in toast, and then Ava turned towards him.

Ava: "I'm linked with you and the rest of the court this time. We need to make sure if Cameron comes back tonight, we're all in communication."

He put his arms around her waist, and leaned in to her.

"I really hope this is all just one big misunderstanding."

He grinned.

"And not just because I want the chance to see what's under that dress..."

As Ava walked out into the living room wearing her Grecian inspired outfit, John gave a low whistle. Smiling, she couldn't help but take notice of the loose fabric around his waist line, showing off the ribbed and sculpted muscles of his torso.

John: "I wish I was taking you out on the town rather than to this party."

Ava took his arm as they walked to the door.

"I wish you weren't wearing any slacks."

She added casually before looking over at John with a naughty smile. He wasn't the type for costumes, but damn did he look hot with a tunic on. It made her wish she went full out costume so she could have seen what John came up with. They soon headed down to the party, which looked absolutely gorgeous. Ashley and Alek had outdone themselves, then again, Ashley had outdone herself all weekend long. To say the Red Court took the weekend was an understatement. The Red Court arrived and Ava commented on the fact that Ashley was being escorted by both Alek and AJ.

John: "Uh, yes, but did you notice what she'd wearing. Or not wearing?"

Ava lifted up a brow as she glanced over at John, a humorous smile tugging on the corner of her lips. She had noticed the beautiful detailing of Ashley's "bodice" that was painted on her body. She looked as beautiful as ever, even more gorgeous really.

"I did. And apparently you did as well."

Her humorous smile became cheeky as she nudged John playfully. How could anyone not find what Ashley was wearing attractive? She was fucking hot, and she knew it. Ava's eyes slid over to Alek who was also decked out in paint, though more subtle with an emphasis on his scars along his chest. Ava had to admit, she could see why Haleigh was fucking him. However a blonde servant walking by quickly caught Ava's attention; she watched as the servant weaved through the crowd, commenting on getting a head start on what she and John discussed. John's head dipped to her ear, Ava grinning as her face remained by the crook of his neck.

John: "Having an appetite for blondes today, eh?"

"Ashley's outfit gave me an appetite for something."

She admitted, thinking they would have to stake claim on that blonde before anyone else did. Leaning back from John, Ava looked up at him deciding to get the little bit of business they had out of the way so they could attempt to enjoy their evening before Cameron possibly crashed it. She added that she was now linked to John and the rest of the Black Court by inter com so they could all be on the same page if Cameron did decide to come home.

John: "I really hope this is all just one big misunderstanding."

"Me too."

She hoped Cameron would come home with flowers and a a fucking teddy bear, professing his love to Haleigh, but Ava knew that would never happen with Cameron. There would be some altercation, it was just a matter of how deadly it would end up being. John's arms slid around Ava's waist, pulling her closer to him. She smiled, looking up as his towered over her.

John: "And not just because I want the chance to see what's under that dress..."

She perked up a brow, challenging him on his statement. But instead, Ava leaned in as if she were going to kiss him, then stopped.

"Nothing."

She teasingly whispered before pulling back with a smirk. Ava then began to lead them over to where Ashley and AJ were, wanting to greet the hosts before her and John got lost in the party.

"Ashley, you look absolutely stunning."

Ava smiled warmly at her friend before her eyes slid over to AJ, giving him a nod.

"Knight."

Ava then began to run her slender fingers along Ashley's collar bone and down her arm, feeling the texture of the paint on Ashley's skin as her eyes followed the pattern of the dragon's wings.

"And this? Is sexy to say the least. [Ava grinned] You've outdone yourself once again. Congratulations."

Hellfire - The White Wing

Haleigh walked through her and Cameron's suite, her mind mulling over the intel she'd gleaned from Heidi's tracker. She'd been in Mexico for hours now, in roughly the same place. There was no question now that Cameron was there. It was suspicious that Heidi had not reported back, that she remained with Cameron there all day. Cameron was obviously waiting for the most opportune time to strike, and it probably wouldn't be too long, or he wouldn't have kept Heidi there with him. Haleigh had half a mind to go hunt him down, but it was not a good idea to leave home turf, where she had the advantage of the entire club behind her.

So instead she got dressed quickly, affixing a platinum wreath atop her head, with Chimera there standing watch, and very soon she was tying up her sandals so they could be on their way to the party. She stopped on her way out at the mantle where Cameron had trashed the pictures in anger. The staff had already cleaned them up, replaced what was broken, and rearranged them as if nothing had happened. Haleigh stared at a wedding photo for a long minute, and then carefully laid it face down.

Outside her suite she stopped to talk to her own personal Watchmen, the ones who usually shadowed her, Sentry and Specter. Either of them would make an excellent Knight, if Heidi chose to go down with her King. Haleigh took the time to explain the situation to them, so they could improve their own strategy. Sentry volunteered to meet with the rest of the Watchmen, and update the crew on what to expect and how to respond, while Specter insisted on staying with Haleigh. He was already wearing something suitable for the party, since originally he would have been assigned to cover his Queen tonight, so Haleigh just shrugged and told him to come along.

They arrived just behind Zach and Brienne, and Haleigh wandered over to Juliette, and complimented the Vampire Queen on her dress. Liam looked dashing as well, in a white toga trimmed in silver that only half covered his chest. The Europeans politely inquired of how she was doing since the poisoning, and she delightedly told them about what she and Alek had done to the culprit.

Then the Red Court arrived, all the men quite impressively costumed, with Ashley looking fantastic enough to rule them all, and Haleigh was able to excuse herself from Juliette and Liam before they could venture a question regarding Cameron’s whereabouts. She raised a glass to Ashley’s toast, though she could have no wine, instead her goblet was filled with cranberry juice, alas no vodka. What a long nine months this would be. Her eyes on Alek, she stopped by Bretta for a quick greeting, and then when the Red Court broke up a bit to work the party, Haleigh made her move to intercept the Red King.

“Well, you are the best looking thing in here, easily. And you were right, I love it.”

The Bacchanalia

Alek parted from Ashley, surprised and a bit wary that she had given in so easily to his request. But he was pleased: Siphon would be a great addition to the court, with his power set. And more importantly, he wasn't in Ashley's pocket like AJ and even Jack seemed to be. He needed someone to be on his side, to balance things out. He was on the lookout for Haleigh, when she found him.

Haleigh: “Well, you are the best looking thing in here, easily. And you were right, I love it.”

He grinned, reaching for her hand to pull her gently towards him.

"It's good to be Caesar."

He chuckled, then looked her up and down with an appraising eye before twirling her around once.

"You look amazing, fit to be an Empress. I do prefer you in red, though."

He leaned in close, his hands around her waist, just enjoying her nearness. And then he moved to her side, keeping one hand on her waist, and gesturing around the room with his other.

"So, what would you like to do first? Mingle? Get something to eat? Watch some blood sports?"

His hand moved lower.

"Or find a nice quiet place..."

The Black King & Queen's Suite

When Ava revealed herself, wearing an incredibly sexy black dress that made him unsure if he should be turned on or afraid of being punished, he whistled and commented that he wished they were going somewhere better than this party. She took his arm and they walked together to the door of their suite.

Ava: "I wish you weren't wearing any slacks."

She gave him a naughty smile, which made him want to pull her back into the bedroom, but instead he smirked at her.

"NOW let's see how YOU like it."

He put his free hand over hers on his arm.

"I'm going to buy the tightest, most difficult to get off slacks they make, and let YOU try and remove them."

He chuckled, then raised her hand to his lips and kissed it. They arrived at the party, and Ava seemed more surprised by Ashley's choice of escorts than the elephant in the room that she wasn't wearing a top. He asked Ava if she noticed.

Ava: "I did. And apparently you did as well."

"Well, yeah."

But Ava had clearly been turned on by something in the air, her noticing a blonde serving girl who walked by them, and suggesting maybe they start celebrating Paris early. He wasn't about to contradict his queen's wishes...

But it was really Ava that he was interested in, and when she whispered to him that she wasn't wearing anything under her dress, he found himself forgetting anyone else was in the room. His next impulse was to find a dark corner with her - she was finally wearing a dress after all - but Ava was leading him towards Ashley and AJ. Ava greeted them both, and John echoed her sentiments, hand clasped behind his back.

"Everything looks wonderful. The Red Court should be proud."

And then...Ava was touching Ashley. In a way he could feel on his own skin. He swallowed. Hard.

Ava: "And this? Is sexy to say the least. [Ava grinned] You've outdone yourself once again. Congratulations."

He smiled, watching Ava intently.

"Maybe we should get the name of the artist."

The Bacchanalia

Everything seemed to be going well so far, the guests enjoying themselves, everything looking just as she'd imagined. And Savage was next to her as her consort, with no fear of a scene from Alek, or anyone else able to say shit. She sighed happily, her eyes darting around the room, taking everything in.

"What should we do first? I definitely want a hunk of meat and to watch a good fight."

Ava and John were coming towards them, Ava looking like she'd just arrived from Underworld fashion week.

Ava: "Ashley, you look absolutely stunning."

She returned Ava's smile.

"Thank you. You look fierce. Watch out, John: somebody's getting their ass kicked tonight."

John: "Everything looks wonderful. The Red Court should be proud."

Ashley bowed graciously to him. Ava greeted AJ, and Ashley rubbed his arm happily. Ava was then feeling the texture of the paint on her skin, and Ashley slowly licked her lips.

Ava: "And this? Is sexy to say the least. [Ava grinned] You've outdone yourself once again. Congratulations."

John: "Maybe we should get the name of the artist."

She could tell John was turned on by the way Ava was touching her, so she decided to have a little fun. She moved to stand next to Ava, slipping her arm around her waist and resting her chin on her shoulder, eyes looking at John.

"Oh you should."

She picked up her head then, and started tracing a line with her finger over her breast down to her stomach.

"It feels amazing when they're painting it on."

Next she let her fingers trail down Ava's arm.

"And it's just so much more...natural. Like there's nothing there."

She smiled, then slid back over to AJ's side, her hand twining around his arm, her mouth reaching up to brush his neck. The leather he was wearing was think enough to hide anything that might be going on with him, to her great disappointment, but she was confident that at some point in the evening he was going to pick her up and carry her someplace secluded.

Ava decided before partaking in the evenings festivities, it was best to greet Ashley and tell her how amazing the party had turned out. It truly was a spectacle and one that would not be easily forgotten. Walking with John, Ava greated Ashley with a warm smile, telling her she looked absolutely gorgeous.

Ashley:
"Thank you. You look fierce."

"Thank you."

Ashley: "Watch out, John: somebody's getting their ass kicked tonight."

Ava chuckled, her hand sliding down John's forearm.

"Someone's getting something tonight..."

She countered, though her eyes were locked with his; a playful glint to them. Ava then turned her attention to the literally star of the show, Ashley's painted on bodice. It really was quite remarkable, like art on a skin canvas. Ava began to run her fingers along Ashley's collar bone and arm, fully taking in the masterpiece. She complimented Ashley once again, though her eyes continued to follow the tips of her fingers as they traced across one of the dragon's wings.

John: "Maybe we should get the name of the artist."

Ava looked over to John, a sexy smirk on her lips as her dark eyes agreed wholeheartedly that that was a fantastic idea.

Ashley: "Oh you should."

It was then Ashley came up beside Ava, her arm slipping around Ava's waist as her chin rested on Ava's shoulder. She knew exactly what Ashley was doing, and Ava didn't care in the slightest. She let her head rest against the side of Ashley's, the contrast in their hair like sand and coal. As Ashley began to trace her fingers along her body where the paint was, Ava moved her fingers delicately along Ashley's arm that held her waist; her other hand sliding up Ashley's thigh.

Ashley: "It feels amazing when they're painting it on. And it's just so much more...natural. Like there's nothing there."

"Mmm...."

Ashley's fingers were now trailing down Ava's arm, her midnight eyes hooded with seduction as she looked through her lashes at AJ with a smirk. He wasn't much of a showmen when it came to his emotions, but even Ava could tell he was enjoying the little show they were putting on. But more importantly, as her eyes slid over to John, Ava was damn sure he was turned on, the look in his eyes like an animal primed to make a meal out of them.

"Sounds devine..."

She purred with a smile as Ashley finally stepped away from her and back to AJ. Moving back to John's side, Ava slid her hand up his exposed side and under the back of his tunic, leaning against him.

"You two enjoy your night."

Giving Ashley and AJ a wink, Ava began to lead John away with a smirk, her body pressed against him as she walked.

"So....what did you want to do first?"

Elena: "I have a few conditions."

"I anticipated as much."

Elena: "First, Carolina and I will stay in the Mansion."

"Ele--"

But she continued.

Elena: "As much as it is a place completely unsuitable place for a child, I will not have her shoved in a corner like she isn't your daughter. If you want to spend time with her you will spend time with her."

Cameron's ears perked up for a moment. He had assumed that Elena would have Carolina to avoid the Hellfire Mansion at all costs. He didn't envision Elena wanting Haleigh around their daughter. But here she was, demanding to stay within the walls of Hellfire, with their daughter. Though he did now view Elena with somewhat of a Saint like quality, he remembered the woman she was before becoming a mother. And that woman was a dangerous as she was beautiful. Cameron had never bedded a woman who didn't have some kind of danger about her, and Elena was no exception. Perhaps Elena had more of a stake invested in Hellfire than he knew. If it were the case, it would bring The White King great relief. Not only that, perhaps having Elena and Carolina around might get Haleigh to be able to identify with the feelings that he was feeling. He shook his head, a bit sad about never being able to turn off the game, to stop strategizing.

"If you think it's truly appropriate for Carolina to stay there, then she shall. It is where she belongs anyhow, but take a minute to truly understand what it is you are saying before you make that decision."

This would be his only warning to Elena about the perils of raising a child in Hellfire. This would be her one and only opportunity to change her mind, to back out of things. Everything that would happen after this moment to Carolina would not only be Cameron's fault but hers. They would have to be in this together.

Elena: "Second, we will come for the summer. I am not pulling Carolina out of her school or away from her friends. This will be a vacation so she can get to know her papa."

That part he could deal with. Three whole months with his daughter. He couldn't think of anything better. And he knew that Carolina had a life here that he didn't want to upset, just yet. But it was a long committment and a hard sell to The Inner Circle. He had already caused great drama, and now he was adding fuel to the fire and a shiny new jewel on his crown, his daughter. He was going to have to be very careful. But he was willing to try for her.

Elena: "Third, there will be no 'White Princess' bullshit, or dressing her all in white outfits. She is a child. She will be allowed to be a child."

"She's allowed to be whatever she wants."

The White King had been a nosy child and from a young age he desperately hated being too young to know things or be a part of the 'family business'. He liked to know the truth about things, reasons behind decisions. He was insatiably curious. There was nothing more he hated as a child than being treated like one, and he didn't intend to do that to his daughter, despite the fact that she had such chubby little cheeks and big beautiful smoochable lips.

Elena: "Whatever arrangement you and your wife have, you keep it away from Carolina. We will not explain to our daughter why Auntie Haleigh's friend is sleeping over. Or Daddy's knight."

Cameron laughed.

"The second she walks into that mansion, the LAST question she's going to ask about is our bed partners. And if she does, we'll figure out what to say. But I can't control every single person around me, Elena. But trust me, despite the fact we were raised by she-wolves, we do know how to act in front of small children."

Elena: "And last, if anyone gives her an unkind look, a nasty word, we will come home immediately."

"Not before said person dies in a public forum."

He couldn't imagine anybody actually being horrible to his daughter, but suddenly he found a well of rage at the things he would do if anyone ever did - it would end up being some of his greatest work. Elena folded her arms.

Elena: "And it's too late to take a child on a trip like that. We could fly up in the morning in papa's jet. Acuerdo?"

"That's probably for the best, regents from Europe are staying at the mansion. They leave tomorrow, hopefully in the morning...but acuerdo."

He looked over at Elena and then his eyes darted to Carolina, who had gotten bored entertaining herself and found herself standing in between them at the table.

Carolina: "I'm sleepy mami, but I don't want to go to sleep. I want to stay up. So papa doesn't have to go."

The words hit him like music as he smirked and lifted her up in her arms.

"Dulcita, you have to sleep...I cannot have you arrive to my home and be tired. There is too much to see."

Carolina: "I'm going to your casa?! En serio!"

She hugged him tightly as he smelled her hair underneath his chin as she let go of the embrace. She shot a look over to Elena.

Carolina: "Mami! Is it true?!"

Elena responded as Cameron gripped Carolina's arm warmly.

"It's true. And this means two things - I need to go home to get ready for you and mami, and you need to go to sleep so that you will be well rested and ready to soak in all there is to see."

Cameron knelt down and embraced her in a large and lingering hug, cupping her head in the palm of his hand as he pressed her closer towards his body, soaking up every last moment he had, hoping to draw on it's strength to return to Hellfire renewed and ready to do what needed to be done.

Carolina: Papa, let go of me! I need to get to sleep ya know!"

The White King laughed as Carolina all but started to book it down the well lit courtyard on the way back to the guest house of the estate as Cameron's eyes turned back to Elena for a moment. Their goodbye would be bittersweet as well.

"Thank You...for today. You didn't have to do any of this."

He embraced her in a hug.

"You should get some sleep too...it's sure as hell going to be interesting to have you back in the walls of Hellfire. Are you sure you're ready for it?"

In the distance he could make out the form of Heidi Scarborough, his White Knight, ready to take him back stateside. He exhaled deeply.

"I shouldn't keep her waiting much longer. I should go."

He gripped her hand for a moment.

"It's all going to be okay. I promise. I'll see you tomorrow Elena. You've got my digits. Just let me know what aero space to have you picked up from tomorrow."

And with that Cameron spun on his heels and dissappeared into the darkness, until his own dark form met Heidi's and the two dissappeared into the evening, on their way back to Hellfire, where one hell of a shit storm was waiting for The White King. But for whatever reason, he was no longer afraid. He was no longer confused. He knew what he wanted and how to get there. If anything, he was excited to return home. Until he got there at least.

Colima, Mexico - La Hacienda De Estrada

Cameron had avoided answering her questions, which was mildly frustrating. Maybe it was none of her business, except that being aware of what was going on between her King and Queen would help Heidi make better decisions as their Knight. Yet despite being kept mostly in the dark, Heidi still assented when Cameron asked her to stay, and wait. All afternoon.

There was a distinct part of her that was concerned that delaying the inevitable would only make it worse, but she didn't voice that opinion. Instead she loitered in the Hacienda, devoured some pretty decent Mahi-mahi tacos, and eventually sat on the stone edge of a large courtyard fountain, her fingers trailing through the water.

In her boredom she began to improve upon it, changing it first to a saltwater environment, and then introducing coral. Coral was a home for a great many creatures, so she brought some in, fish and small octopus, a couple little sharks to balance the ecosystem, algae and bottom feeders, until it was a diverse little microcosm.

And when Cameron's daughter came back from mass, Heidi happily pointed it out. She told Carolina about all the different creatures that now lived in the fountain, as Elena and Cameron had a private conversation. It was better to bond with the kid now, while it was easy, than to wait until the girl was grown and coming to claim a princess title.

Carolina, adorably, was getting sleepy, and wandered off to tell her parents. Shortly thereafter, Cameron was bidding his farewells and finally ready to leave. That was excellent, because Heidi did not want to miss the Red Party, as thrilled as she was for the theme.

Hellfire -- The Bacchanalia

Ash: I'm surprised a man who doesn't dance has no problem with revealing costumes.

Jack: Yes, I'm full of surprises.

Ash: You wear it well, Bishop.

Jack: Many thanks, Your Grace.

Savage glanced around as his Queen asked their Bishop if there had been any word from Heidi. Jack grimly shook his head, his concern evident. There wasn't much else to discuss, so they went into the party. His Queen gave an opening toast, and then AJ made sure his Queen knew this was well done, and would be remembered. She replied that it was time the other courts recognized the worth of the Red, and AJ nodded in agreement.

Ash: Now if we can just make it through the evening without a telepath cutting a swath of destruction through the mansion, we'll be good.

"Well, we are all in one place, so at least we can mount a coordinated defense together right from the start."

AJ replied, and then Alek came along, wanting to add to the agreement he'd made with Ashley. Apparently he wanted Siphon as their new Rook. AJ shared a glance with his Queen, and then she decided to allow it, before leading AJ off to enjoy the party.

It was then that things started to get really interesting. Ava and John intercepted them, and AJ nodded respectfully to them both. AJ was about to start looking around the party scene again, but then he did a double take, because Ava was getting very close to his Queen, and touching her rather.... intimately.

AJ's eyes widened, and he stopped blinking so as not to miss a second of what was happening. His Queen was moving in on Ava, and it was getting extremely warm in this room.

Ash: It feels amazing when they're painting it on. And it's just so much more...natural. Like there's nothing there.

Ava: Mmm.... sounds divine....

"I'm told the paint is edible...."

AJ said abruptly in a husky tone, and then the two women were splitting up, and there was a look of slight disappointment on AJ's face.

"She left too soon..."

He pouted, though soon he smiled, because Ashley was back on his arm, and he led her over to the fighting pits to watch Siphon. He called for one of the waiters to bring his Queen a hunk of meat, as she'd earlier requested, and then he shifted himself behind her and wrapped both his arms around her, pulling her back against his chest and giving her cheek a little kiss.

Hellfire -- The Bacchanalia

Alek said it was good to be Caesar, as Haleigh appreciated his appearance. She brushed her fingertips gently across the pteruges he was wearing, and then her gaze traveled up his body, followed by her hands, as his went to her waist. Just being near him again made some of the stress melt away. She smiled softly when he complimented her, a smile that went wicked when he mentioned his preference for her in red.

"Of course you do. Maybe I'll buy a little red number, for your eyes only. Would you like that?"

She asked, a seductive lilt to her tone, as she looked up into his gaze, her fingers stroking his scar.

"I'm glad this paint is dry, I'd hate to ruin such intricate artwork..."

She commented slyly, and then he moved to her side, offering her different options of entertainment in the room.

"Mmm, each options sounds better than the last...."

She replied, looking around the party, her hand intertwining with his at her hip.

"Wait wait wait. Am I hallucinating, or is Ash actually topless?"

She asked, starting off in the direction of the fighting pit. There was something she needed to tell them anyways, and it was easier to do it as a group than individually.

"Ash, you are topless, you tease. Well, you look fantastic. And this party is legendary, so bravo. Not to rain, but I have some significant news. No word from my Knight. Her tracker has been in Mexico all afternoon, but now she's on the move. We can expect her back soon, and maybe Cameron too, there's no way to tell."

The Bacchanalia

Ava, ever the aristocrat, went over to greet the hosts of the party, and Ashley seemed to appreciate his Queen's look as much as he did.

Ashley: "Thank you. You look fierce. Watch out, John: somebody's getting their ass kicked tonight."

Ava's hand was moving dangerously down his arm.

Ava: "Someone's getting something tonight..."

He cleared his throat, silently hoping it would be soon. His eyes were drawn to Ava, whose fingers were stroking the paint on Ashley's skin. He suggested that maybe they should get the name of the artist, and Ashley wholeheartedly agreed whilst getting very close to Ava. He started to wonder if Ashley hadn't been joking when she had said she and Ava were making out earlier in the Conservatory. His mind kept imagining painting Ava's body...

Ava was nearly purring as she and Ashley stroked each other's skin, and it was getting very warm there in his tunic. His eyes met Ava's, and she could see exactly what he wanted to do to her.

Ava and Ashley parted, and she returned to his side, and he could feel her hand making its way up under his shirt. She said her goodbyes to Ashley & AJ, and then was leading him away.

Ava: "So....what did you want to do first?"

"Now that is a loaded question right about now."

He slid his arm around her shoulders.

"But I'm thinking we should probably lounge on one of these couches while I feed you grapes."

He grinned at her, amused at the image.

"My Queen."
