:: Rama thinks for a moment ::

"I am not sure. I wish there was some way to test this theory out"

:: Rama thought a spell might work but who knows how they would ignite in this realm ::

"Well maybe we are, I mean what if going beneath the water leads us to something that will help us go on to the fortress. You never know it could very well be a submarine or it could lead us to other humans/ magickal beings, that would know how to go on. It might be where we NEED to go."

:: Euthalia said, she continued to walk down the path a little ways, not too far down. To see if there was some way to go into the ocean. ::

"What if we throw something in there just to check to see if it's safe?"

:: She said looking over her shoulder at the group. ::

Following her own suggestion, Euthalia tosses a seashell into the ocean, half expecting it to burst into flame. The shell arcs out before landing in the ocean with a musical like plink. From her vantage point, she can see that the path does indeed continue on into the water where it glows softly beneath the waves.

:: Euthalia took a deep breath and threw the seashell into the water, she felt a hug barrier lifted off her chest when all she heard was the plink of the seashell meeting water. ::

"Guys look this part of the ocean seems alot safer then the other side of the island. All of us know how to swim right? So what if we just step into the water following the path, it'd help us ALOT more, maybe it leads us back to another land? And plus the pearls don't seem to be wrapped in flame."

:: Euthalia said optimistically relieved the sea shell didn't burn into ash. She walked up to the edge of shore, looking into the water at the pearls, making sure she didn't fall in. ::

"How did the boat get here... If we couldn't even get off the island with it.."

:: She said aloud, but was more of a mumble to her self. Catching the flashlight Rama had thrown her, she nodded to him in thanks.. But did not turn on it yet, to save some of the battery. She followed the group, staying behind for once.. For her mind was deep in thought.. Of how, they could figure this out.. What would happen.. Following the group, she saw the seashell plink into the water, and sighed a bit. ::

"Looks safe.. Lets give it a go."

:: Syd said, beginning to go to the path.. And then stopped, right before she would place a foot in the water. Then, she placed one foot in the water... And then another, and was hoping to contuine on, without harm.. ::

"Someone stay back at the island, someone with TK.. Until we know for sure WE can go without harm.."

*She watched the others discuss, thinking of ideas to put forth. She watched the seashell clunk into the water and listened to Euthalia.*

"But we're missing the main point here. Yes, we follow the path into the water, but how do we keep from drowning in it? So far, that's the only thing keeping us back."

*She thought for a second, wondering what they could use to keep air.*

"I don't suppose one of you could conjure oxygen tanks, or atleast like those asthma things. Those could help us breathe underwater. The only other way i can think of is holding our breathe really well, and possibly creating like a bubble around our heads and diving it...hoping we don't get separated."

"The oxygen tanks would be the better, but we'd have to have enough to last us till only god knows where."

:: She said in response walking back up to the group. ::

"The water is obviously tainted some how.. To even allow a path like this.. And to not have set the seashell afire.. Maybe we don't need something to keep us from drowning.."

:: Syd spoke calmly, thorwing out her idea, still 2 feet in the water.. The water up to her ankles.. She waited, to see what the others would think of her idea. ::

:: Kurama was still sketchy on the whole aspect of going in the water though it seems the seashell was alright, but there was the problem of going underwater ::

"Well the tanks seem like a good idea though what if we don't even need them. Anyone care to be the guinea pig and see if we can breathe underwater?"

:: Rama sees that no one is volunteering and sighs. He dives right into the water making sure to stay in the center of the path ::

Rama dives gracefully into the water, cleaving the surface like a knife. He is greatly surprised as his body meets farless resistance than he expected and he hits the path that lies 3 feet under the water. Startlement as well as the impact causes him to loose the breath he had been holding and he is panicked for a moment fighting to regain his breath. It takes a moment before the realization hits him that he is in no discomfort and is able to breathe as normally as if he were still on the island...

:: Rama is suddenly shocked as he hits the shallow ground and flails a moment. He looses his breath and then finds after panicking he can breathe underwater. He quickly sends a message to the others telepathically ::

Guys I can breathe underwater. Come on in but don't dive, the water is shallow

:: Rama awaits the others to get in ::

:: Euthalia begins to walk in. First a bit unsure, she follows the path of pearls and then she begins to breath, it feels so strange and unsual to her but she begins to swim and swims over to Rama, she looks back at the other members.::

" Come on in! We'll begin to follow the path..."

:: Maia looks cluelessly at the path of pearls. This was too good to be true... but it didn't seem to be an illusion or mirage of any sort. Shrugging, she walked down further into the water and swam over to the group ::

"Let's go!"

:: She swam ahead, keeping a close eye on the path to see where it lead ::

:: Euthalia began swimming down pretty close to the path of the pearls. She kept her eyes on them looking up occasionally at the group members, to make sure, they weren't too far apart. She took a deep breath wondering where this path would lead. Wishing she had the gift of telepathy to communicate with the other group members. ::

How much longer does this path go down?

:: Tobias followed the rest of the group underwater. He was a bit apprehensive at first, not sure wether he would be able to breath underneath the water or not. But once he started breating he knew he had nothing to worry about, for the moment... ::

*She sees Rama die in and quickly flail his arms, and moves farther into the water to go help him. His message quickly flows into her mind, as she figures out what happened.*

"You alright Rama?"

*She waded more into the water and then jumped, letting her feet come up as she dunked herself into the water. She swam after the others, holding her breathe, her body not having been reassured yet that everything was alright. She resisted the urge to scramble for the surface and began to breathe under the water, her body beginning to relax. She caught up to the others and looked around, picking up on Euthalia's question, and answering it to the whole group.*

"Not really sure, it looks like it goes on for a while longer ahead. Does anyone, um, see any kind of fish or anything? Don't know if they'd survive in here but i'd rather not be eaten by a shark or something."

Well if we can breath that means this must not be ordinary water, they probably wouldn't survive, Amy.

:: She replied wand turned around to see Amy, and then starts swimming forward. Her legs beginning to get a bit tired, she continues swimming on. ::

The group continues onward going ever deeper into the sea. Currents cause the members to drift away from the path where they find it increasingly hard to breathe and where they begin to attract attention from the curious and hungry denizens of this realm. As long as they remain on the pathway they find the going fairly easy. Here and there they see what appear to be the crumbling remains of dwellings, glowing hauntingly, covered in some sort of undersea lichen that gives off an eerie light. No sign of any inhabitants is found on the rare occassions the path winds close enough to one of the ruins to see within. In the distance, a brightening of the path light can be seen coming from a valley tucked away between two mountains. They can tell they won't be able to get a good look at the source of the light until they are much closer due to the flow of the land.

:: Rama struggles as he notices he is drifting off the path. He thrusts himself back on it. He also sees a light and speeds up towards it ::

Guys lets head to that light source, maybe it's our destination for this pocket realm

*Looking up towards Rama she suddenly gets knocked off the course a bit, fighting the currents to get back onto the path. She continued to swim down it as they passed by random ruins and a couple of critters. Noticing the light up ahead, she raised an eyebrow curiously, but forward was the only place to go now.*

"I hope so...this place is kinda giving me the creeps."
