:: Rama does not struggle to get out of his bindings and follows the guards to the court, he looked with wide eyes as he saw people from the past, he was at least glad to see a good face, Hannah's. What he did not understand was how the scorpion that they killed was there. He awaited for their turn to talk and prove they were set-up ::

:: Maia looked over at the group from the corner, and shook her head sighing ::

"Who in the world would help us? We're theives remember..."

:: She rested her head against the wall as she curled herself up into a ball, and hugged her legs. She was so exausted from all the drama. She couldn't stand what was going on right now. She just wanted to get out... if only she could! ::

:: Has the urge to laugh at the charges, however considering their situation and the tempers of the rest of the group, he holds it in. ::

"Hello...beg your pardon your majesty, but don't we have a defence attorney or someone like that?"

:: Looks around the courtroom and notices Hannah and Gossammer. He does not say anymore, afraid to anger the jury and the King. ::

:: Rama flashes a look at Tobias in pure shock at his gall. What is he thinking? He should know the basic rules of court, not to speak unless it is your turn or being addressed is the most known one of all. He shook his head utterly confused with him and what he thinks ::

:: Maia, too, shot him a look. Her eyes widened. What was Tobias thinking? Did he want to get himself prosecuted even before the trail actually started!? She rolled her eyes and shook her head ::

:: She wondered where Sydney was. Whas she a fairy they couldn't see? She knew that Sydney would stand up for them is she was here but was silent about it as they entered the courtroom. ::

Toby what do you think your doing! I hope you can hear this because your not suppose to say anything in a trial unless you are a lawyer or up on the stand.

:: She continually looked around the room from face to face and then up at the king and then at the prosecuter. ::

For god's sake what is everyone moaning for, we haven't got a lawyer so who is going to represent us? I'm certainly not going to sit here doing nothing while we get sentenced for something we haven't even done...

:: Shuffles his feet slightly going slightly red in embarrassment, they did have a point, him and his big mouth. However Tobias is stubborn and cannot understand why the others are just standing there letting them accuse them of all these things, like they are nothing but trash. He waits for an answer or beligerant comment from the fat, ugly king. ::

While everyone bickers amongst themselves, a figure begins to fade into view seated on the cushions. Oberon is choosing to hear this case in person rather than using his customary spells that allow him to hear a case while attending to other matters. Oberon becomes more solid with each moment. He sits reclined on the cushions eating a cluster of grapes.

His curly hair is the color of sunlight, a rich golden color that makes one think of basking in the sun. His ears taper to delicate points and from the left one hangs a simple crystal earring. He has the face of an Angel and a body like Michelangelo's David sculpture. Its his eyes though that set his looks apart. Sapphire blue pools that seem to draw one in until you fall forever. Oberon radiates charisma like none in the group has ever met before. His simple presence is enough to make people want to grovel. He is living proof of the warnings about the High Sidhe, both beautiful and terrible to look at.

Oberon's telepathic voice rings out through the room and is like hearing a choir. It is Tobias that is the focus of the attention and it give him a bit of a headache.
**"Fat and Ugly King? I do believe that is how you were thinking of me? I should punish you for presuming to speak and for not watching your thoughts, but your spirit amuses me..... for now. Don't push your luck though, Boy!"**

Oberon eats another grape before turning to Gilderlilly. "I have heard the charges against the strangers, who is serving as their defense?"

Gilderlilly clears his throat and smooths his robes before addressing the King. "Lord, they have no defense council."

Oberon shakes his head from side to side. "Well if they have no council then they are guilty of all crimes and must be put to death if no one will stand for them."

He looks out into the audience to see if there are any who would defend them. Several of the members of the audience look about them uncomfortably including Hannah.

"Very well, then. I give the time until the sands in this hourglass run out for someone to come forward. If no one does then the sentence of death stands and is to be carried out immediately."

At his words an hourglass appears hanging in the air then turns itself over. The sands begin to trickle to the bottom. The grains then begin to pick up speed as Oberon becomes increasingly bored until it seems that they only have five minutes left in the glass.

Just as the last of the sands is about to fall to the bottom of the hourglass, a great wind picks up within the courtroom. The rear doors slam open to reveal a tall and beautiful black woman with snow white hair. Her stance is regal and she radiates power. She approaches the front of the courtroom and stand before Oberon.

"Lord Oberon, I will stand as defense for these people. They are known to friends and colleagues of mine."

Oberon smiles at her and his charisma seems to grow. From the back ofthe spectator area, small sobs can be heard as the weakest willed of them is overcome with Oberons glamour.

"Lady Ororo, how lovely to see you once again. It has been long and long since you graced us with your presence."

:: Euthalia's eyes lit up as the famous Ororo Monroe walked into the courtroom announcing herself as their defense. She had never met the woman only heard of her. She smiled happily atleast they had an attorney. ::

We have defense now. . .

:: She thought, from now on she wouldn't think any bad thoughts that could be taken offensively by the king, since apparently, he could pick up thoughts. ::

Must be something in the water.

:: Rama saw the king but put his lust aside at once when he saw Ororo. His face immediatly brightened up. He wondered if she would remember him all those years ago, one night deep in the forest where he grew up. When a fire had broken out and he needed to save the forest, though his efforts were futile suddenly a great downpour had begun and the rains were put out. He stopped the memory and wondered if she had any recollection of it. He almost began to speak to her but stopped just in case, though he slightly stepped forward to get her attention ::

:: As Lord Oberon made his entrance, he definitely caught her attention. He was indeed handsome but she already had a man of her own, so she rolled her eyes quickly, trying to block out his voice with her mind, but obviously she couldn't. Letting out a depressing sigh, she squinted her eyes slightly before widening them as he spoke about having being sentenced to death if they did not have a defense. Maia watched the hour glass, grain by grain. Fortunately as Lady Ororo approached Lord Oberon, she sighed in relief ::

Wow... someone will actually defend us.

:: She looked over at Kurama and grinned slightly, but not noticeable. She assumed they were old friends by the look on his face ::

*She looked around at the others and just shrugged, eating her meal and taking a quick nap before morning woke them. She hauled up and walked into the "courtroom" with everyone, chains clanging around their hands and feet and sat there looking around, wondering what would happen next. She looks at Oberon as he appears at the throne atop the cushions. She just stared at him blankly...he was good eye candy, but it didn't spark anything inside of her. Suddenly the doors blew open as she turned to face them, watching a woman walk into the room. Her presence sure had an impact on some of the members of the group and on the King, she was obviously someone of great importance. She smiled and turned back to the King wondering what would come next.*

Ororo smiles charmingly at Oberon.
"Your Majesty is too kind by far. As I said, I am willing to serve as these people's defender. I understand the ways of this kingdom in a manner that they could not hope to, having arrived so recently. I will prove to the King that this has been a terrible misunderstanding on their part and willful deception on the part of the Goblin Picknose. That is of course, should you allow it, my Lord."

Oberon sits silently for a moment, obviously thinking then turns to the sorceress.
"Ororo, you know that should they be found guilty you would share in their punishment? (At Ororo's nod, he continues) I would not have you put to death with them. Agree to stay here with me and I will commute their sentence to life imprisonment in the Dwarven Mines after stripping them of their powers of course. What do you say? They are so obviously guilty that there is no other possible verdict."

:: A look of fury crossed her face hearing the king's words about them not being guilty. She felt like yelling but kept her mouth closed hoping not to have to undergo any punishment. ::

Oh god, Ororo please don't settle for that!

:: She thought, hoping the thought would reach the beautiful sorceress somehow. ::

:: Her eyes widened slightly as their fate was brought up blatently, and she noted, with minimal relief, the arrival of Ororo. She was curious as to Ororo's motives in doing this, but questionned nothing, not even speaking up as Ororo's possible fate was mentioned. Iff Ororo thought they had a chance, then they must have had a chance at surviving this ::

:: Rama was wide eyed as he heard what Oberon was saying. He opened a telepathic connection with her ::

Ororo I know your not the same Ororo I met before, there is a more spatial quality to you. But please do not let that happen to us. Maybe they can go back in time and see the truth?

:: He was pleading with her, he did not want to end up with that kind of fate ::

Ororo shakes her head slowly and perhaps even a bit sadly at the King's offer.

"The offer is a fine one indeed, milord but I cannot abandon them so. It would make me unworthy of your attentions and the great friendship we share. No, Oberon, I will remain the counsel for the defense."

A hush overtakes the Courtroom as Ororo turned down the King. No one ever defied the King, it was simply not done. The audience and even Gilderlilly wait for the explosion of temper that will herald the destruction of the sorceress. Oberon's face turns bright red for a moment then suddenly sighs and lets out the breath he had been holding.

"By the Ancients, woman, you are something! No one has ever defied my wishes in my own palace and lived. If you choose to die with these thieves then so be it. I may even shed a tear for what might have been after you are all put to death. (Oberon's head snaps around to face Gilderlilly) Warden! Begin your case!"

As Gilderlilly gathers his "evidence", Ororo joins her clients. "Listen to me and listen well. I need to know exactly what has happened, leave nothing out that might pertain to the case, all of our lives depend on it."

:: Rama takes a breath and quickly tells Ororo his version of the summary ::

"Okay basically, we are on a quest and after stopping in an Inn, the waitress Hannah there"

:: He motions to Hannah in the audience ::

"Directed us to Dragon's Orb. We got there and then Toby"

:: He shoots a dirty look at him ::

"Asked about the item we are searching for, The (in a hushed voice) Eye of Fire. As well as told Picknose we could read thoughts and got him mad and all this other stuff and then he threw us out magickally. A blue light pointed at the end of a wand and then me and Maia went back in to try to get some info out of him. Then he called the guards and I did not want to get captured so I spiked one in the head with my heels, and then we were captured but not before Amy glamoured into Oberon"

:: Rama takes another breath ::

"Thats it in a nutshell"

"Yeah that was pretty much it, he also tried to sell me some sort of thing that I refused and we never touched a thing in his shop, you can check our packs and see we had enough silver to buy have of the things in there. When combined together of course."

:: Euthalia said adding to Rama's response. ::
