isle of aerie
:: Humans could be so...misguided. But then again...if emotion were a virus or a plague, the Olympians were not immune for they squabbled, faught, and vexed each other just as much...so much so that history (in the form of mythology) even depicts THEIR drama. The power of LOVE...it was as pervasive and ever present as a low hanging fog. Athena had often remarked that Aphrodite had more "power" than perhaps even she was aware of.::
:: Haleigh was as inappropriate as ever and if ANYONE needed a lesson in humility, it was HER. ONLY Persephone could come to have a bloodline with a woman like THIS. Athena shook her head slowly with disapproval as she watched the exchange...but even as her own feelings of disdain rose, HECATE's voice served as a beacon to the not so distant past. Athena and Hecate both were REELING from the pain Perspehone had caused. pain and dischord that spanned centuries and climaxed in the form of CIRCE.::
:: The goddess of wisdom and war had LEARNED something, about the power and the VALUE of forgiveness and letting go of grudges. She learned it from Demeter, who she suddenly thought of as she watched Nicolas.::
:: it took COURAGE for Athena to let go of something that had become a way of life for her...hating Persephone and dedicating herself to making sure the goddess never knew peace...but having let go of the grudge, even though she and Persephone would never be the best of friends, it was her new found respect for The Six and their uniqueness in time and space that prompted Athena to join Hecate in helping them in this latest situation.::
:: watching as Morgan, her mother and Alison opened their hearts to Nicolas' words and began to forgive and ask for forgiveness...it secretly tugged at Athena's own "heart". She was GLAD that they would be able to repair their relationship and it hadnt taken the death of anyone [demeter] and years of hurt to get to this point. so if anything, THESE mortals were BETTER OFF.::
:: she looked at Hecate, who looked back at her, they both seemed to approve of the PROGRESS finally being made::
:: she then looked at Sharon and Alycia, who stood nearby, watching, noticeably staying out of it. both women were focused on other things...as their lives , while connected to the six, STILL "Stood apart". Athena had something special to offer these two...but she'd wait until the right moment to reveal it.::
:: for now, it was...reaffirming to see that these mortals disprooved Athena's feeling that modern man was lost in its foolish ways. the six seemed to be getting better and better at rectifying their personal problems BEFORE it was close to being "too late".::
:: she hoped that they all, ESPECIALLY DELILAH, learned.::
:: again there WAS something to be said for the "power" of love...and Aphrodite may not have realized just how powerfull she in fact was.::
