Surprise!

my my, Haleigh...you certainly have grown in your thinking.

[ the moon shines brightly as a glowling ray of moonlight beams down to the ground, the form of a woman emerges from the moonlight and reveals herself to be HECATE, and in a physical body no less!]

It was quite a last minute thing, snatching you all from the brink of destruction. Humans of your time pride themselvese FAR too much on their vaunted technology ...in the name of killing each other.

Ares is probably in a perpetual ORGASM behind the recent events as of late.

[she looks at each of them.]

It was I who brought you here, just as it was I who healed those of you who were near death. Ororo, while always willing to offer a helping hand, is the guardian of the DARK TRINITY, not THE SIX. Her's is a special calling , she exists outside of time and space and she need not be involved in THIS. I know i departed this plane of existence centuries ago, but did you really think that I was LIMITED to what i could do with my magick?

[ she looks at Karen, Morgan and Alison.]

it is good to see you again, my daughters.

[ turning to Ava...]

and you too, Persephone.

I'm sorry that it has come behind such circumstances....

[ pretending to look thoughtfull as she continues]

but as you should know...humans are not content until they blast themselves into oblivion through their foolish, willfull ways. Stupidly not realizing that by hounding those of them that are gifted, they are merely hounding themselves. Foolishly squandering the treasures given to them...in this case, you and your allies, those gifted enough, STRONG enough to stand in the gap between this world and the terrible powers that threaten it in the time that you live.

[ Looking at Alycia then to Haleigh.]

She has every right to want to leave and actually, I brought you HERE of all places because it is one of the few spots on this world completely outside of the reach of mankind and it is here that I will offer you a choice...to help me explain...

[ smirking as she knows Persephone will not be thrilled.]

Athena will be joining me...since we both sort of "owe" the lot of you a favor due to your courage in standing against Circe and cleaning up a mess that was not your fault.

"My my, Hecate. [smirking] You certainly have grown a hair on that nose mole of yours."

She fired back cattily, folding her arms across her chest. And then.... Haleigh paused. She knew her resentment for Hecate was still lingering because Hecate had been the one to take Alison 'away'.... but perhaps that was unfounded.

"I'm sorry... that was terribly rude of me. I guess I'm still a little tiffed about the whole Alison/Harbinger thing.... but logically, I must concede that it wasn't DIRECTLY your doing.... it was her destiny and you were merely a catalyst. [pausing pensively] Wow.... I guess I HAVE grown in my thinking. Well spotted, then! ANYWAYS.... Alison is BACK now.... so bygones, I suppose. Honestly, though, you DO look good. Like wine, you seem to improve with age. Thanks for the last minute save. [shooting a dark glance at Alycia as Hecate defended her right to want out, Haleigh's tone was thickly sardonic] Oh, SURE..... every right."

:: Finally, Ava managed to softly laugh at Haleigh's comment about just going with the name Trixie, but the laugh soon faded as her sister became serious as well. Embracing Haleigh in a tight hug, Ava just closed her eyes. Tonight really brought back memories of the night her comrades/family were killed by the Dire Wraiths...she was unable to help them just like she was unable to help the six tonight. Taken out first...ha, what a damn fool she was to think she was all powerful. Maybe this was a wake up call for Persephone; maybe she wasn't as strong as she thought she was. ::

:: Haleigh reassured her she wasn't going anywhere, and that it would take a hell of a lot more than what they went through to take her out. Ava nodded as she pulled away from her. ::

"I know....you're like damned a cockroach. [giving her a faint smile] I'm just glad that everyone's alright. [elbowing her in the side] And i'm not THAT thin."

:: She knew Haleigh was trying her best to lighten the dim situation, so Ava gave her a few bones to play with. It was her attempt at trying, even though she felt like shit at the moment. As Alycia stated she'd rather be dead than her right now, Haleigh went off. Standing from the rock she was sitting on, Ava turned right as Hecate appeared. With wide eyes, Ava stepped off the rock, taken aback by her presents. ::

"Hecate..."

:: It was nice to see her again...they had left on a higher note the last time they were together. Their friendship and trust mending. Giving her a smile as Hecate stated it was good to see her, Persephone nodded. ::

"It's good to see you too."

:: It was actually quite surprising to know that Hecate was the one that brought them here...but also nice. To know that she was watching over them like she had watched over Persephone for so many years was reassuring. Hecate began to explain why she had brought them here...for a choice of some sort? It was intriguing...but the intrigue was short lived at the mentioning of ATHENA joining them. Seeing Hecate smirk, Persephone narrowed her eyes in a non threatening manner, obviously not thrilled. ::

"Oh, do try and refrain from hiding the joy you get from torturing me with that woman."

:: Comical sarcasm coated Persephone's words as she shook her head and folded her arms. Hecate always did love sitting back and watching herself and Athena bitch fight. She said it was like Jerry Springer, Goddess Addition. It was an ongoing joke between the two woman. So it was only natural that Persephone would jokingly say something about Athena's impending appearence....although she DID still dispise the woman, regardless of their 'truce'. ::

:: Rubbing her one temple with her fingers. ::

"I need a drink."

Aerie

why you....

:: in the old days, Alison would have decked if not totally MANGLED anyone for talking to her the way Delilah just did, but this wasnt just "anyone". Alison was BEYOND angered by Delilah's fronting her off like that and she stepped forward to follow the mutant and get in her face but THANKFULLY, Karen, Ava and Nicolas stepped in.::

:: she had to step back for a moment, listen to herself and those around her as she closed her cobalt blue eyes and breathed.::

you don't understand...

:: she interrupted bitterly. but then Ava DID seem to understand...and even Ava could see that Morgan, Alison and Delilah were the next best thing to sisters. She'd spoken of captive hearts earlier but her own marble hard heart had kept her from ever being distracted by this thing called "LOVE". Maybe Delilah wasnt the careless, wreckless danger to the team she had come to think of her as? how could she have allowed herself to see Delilah so dimly so fast. her path as the Harbinger had created more distance between her and her FAMILY and her destiny to not only guard the ancient, mystical artifcats of the world form the eyes of mankind but also as the keeper of time had perhaps gotten in the way of her own realization that she was HUMAN and humans are subject to their emotions, with no exception.::

:: she folded her arms and accepted the words of her former team mates. they may n ot have served together but they were still family. by now even Nicolas had come to be family to her...and they had averted her vision where it counted most...EVERYONE was alive, including Sharon, Alycia , Karen and Mike.::

:: as Ava and Haleigh had a moment, Alison heard Alycia call out for the Seige Perilous. that didnt shock her really , not because she was a precog but because she remembered how FROST had felt after she had lost everything following the Malice/Blackout caper and Frost WILLINGLY entered the Seige in order to find a new life. it was perhaps the BRAVEST thing a person could do, inspite of Haleigh now implying Alycia was a coward for BAILING from them like this.::

Is it so wrong, to want to take your life...or what's left of it into your own hands?

:: she said reflectively. but still, this was Alycia there were talking about. The woman was close to Morgan, Sharon and Alison, she had been a great help to Delilah and Ava in many crucial ways and Nicolas seemed very fond of her as well. Did she not think that by leaving them behind it would not ADD to the hurt they were now feeling?::

:: before Alison could question Alycia on why she wanted to leave this world using the Seige, HECATE appeared!::

:: Alison was surprised, but relieved to know the source of their rescue and restoration and comforted that after all the time that had passed...all the bad blood between herself Persephone and Athena...that time did indeed heal old wounds. the fact that Hecate was now on THIS plane of existence after CENTURIES and many cycles of the RED MOON, showed just how far SHE had come in letting go of her bitterness.::

Hecate!

:: Haleigh inexplicably became catty with the goddess of witchcraft, which drew sharp looks from not only Alison but Morgan and Karen as well. but Haleigh caught herself and apologized, realizing her own short sightedness AND that Alison's becoming Harbinger was not something that Hecate had FORCED upon her.::

Hecate...thank you for saving us. My vision..it was so clear and complete...I even saw at the moment of our death who would survive, but you saved us all.

:: Alison spoke with relief...it was a moment where the emotions she had worked so well to keep hidden sort of shone thorugh. she cared a great deal for her "family"...why else would she have come from Greece to New York to help them in this situation?::

:: she hoped the banter between Persephone and Hecate about Athena distracted anyone from noticing her moment of ...."emotion." as she cleared her throat and composed herself.::

the goddess of witchcraft

<< Morgan looked as the moonlight beamed down and Hecate emerged. she had much the same reaction as Persephone and Harbinger.>>

Hecate...she rescued us.

<< explaining that Ororo was not meant to be involved in this for in fact her role was of guardian of the DARK TRINITY and not the Six directly, Morgan now understood why Ororo had been noticeably absent. this was a problem of human ignorance and bigotry and while it was bad enough, it was not enough to endanger the dark trinity, Hecate's "living will" of sorts.>>

It's good to see you too..

<< she reached out her hand as Hecate came and greeted the three witches personally as a mother would her daughters. Morgan, along with her mother and Alison GLARED at Haleigh as she sniped at Hecate needlessly, but the Hybrid quickly recovered herself and Morgan rolled her violet eyes.>>

hmph, the more things, the more they STAY THE SAME

<< but there was no need to chide Haleigh. Hecate would certainly handle it if she felt it necessary.>>

<< Hecate came with news. a CHOICE, something that Athena would help explain. Morgan's mind raced as to what it could mean, but she knew the goddess' sense of honor would not allow them to play a cruel trick on them and by now she'd come to have sound trust in Hecate and Athena much as she did Ororo.>>

<< secretly, unlike some of the others, Morgan wouldnt MIND staying on Aerie. It was a place of consecration to magick, and the Rotunda was as grand a place as any on earth for her to live out her days but the others, especially Persephone would probably not want that. She would wait for the right moment to express that if Hecate's choice included what she suspected it would.>>

<< she noticed Nicolas and Mike staring at Hecate..and cleared her throat loudly, nudging Nicolas. :D >>

Delilah cut a path through the trees and eventually came upon a small brook. She knelt and put her hand in the water, felt it's coolness wash over it, then splashed some water on her face. How had things gotten so out of hand?

And how could Alison and Morgan so completely despise her now? She could understand them being angry at her, but the things they said... People screw up - aren't families supposed to love you no matter what? But they weren't really family in the end, she supposed. Alison and Morgan were more closely tied to each other and to Karen than she was with them. But why did they force her to stay with them when they hated her so much?

She sat down, resting her arms on her bent knees. This place was not unlike Ororo's garden. Perhaps the weather witch had built a summer home here, she laughed. Not likely. She picked up a stone and threw it into the water, watching it skip along the surface then sink. She still didn't know how they had gotten here, just as she didn't know why she hadn't left yet. She could go anywhere. Probably she better than any of them could start a new life with a new identity. So why hadn't she?

on the isle of aerie

[ Hecate looked at Haleigh and gave a fake laugh as the Hybrid offered her elementary school insult and then looked grimly upon the her.]

I'll let that pass...because of...what is it you humans call it? "post traumatic stress syndrome" ...yes i think that's it. You've been through alot and I understand that humans tend to SPEAK FIRST and THINK LATER in times of emotion , distress and trauma.

[ Hecate, never one to shy away from a catfight herself, (not unlike her avatar, Morgan) would GLADLY have engaged Haleigh in a round of insults in another time or place, but she knew Haleigh was spoken from emotion...she didnt exactly APPROVE of Hecate's providing Alison the path to her destiny and she let that be known, just as Hecate let it be known that she had no right to deny Alison her hearts desire...something she was BORN to do. it was something they may never exactly agree upon but Hecate trusted that Haleigh would proove to be more enlightened now through all the events and changes.]

[ Haleigh complimented her appearence, and seemed to do a quick about face. Hecate nodded graciously.]

well...for being over 5000 years old, I'm glad you think so.

[winking at Persephone.]

I just KNEW you'd be glad to see Athena!

[ she said with joking sarcasm.]

we can build a fire, sit around and tell ghost stories and gossip about Hera ..itll be JUST LIKE OLD TIMES!

[ adding a bit of "fake" excitment to it as she saw Persephone rolling her eyes, Hecate laughed.]

the look on your face alone is priceless!

and while we're waiting on the goddess of war and wisdom to arrive....

[ quickly turning around to catch Mike and Nicolas starring at her in her outfit (*in the banner) ]

i see Nicolas is still among you, courting Morgan ever so carefully. [taking a moment to examine his arm] it's a shame you didnt get the chance to accept Athena's challenge. I wonder how you would fare against Atlas or even Ares in the Arena.

and who is this young man?

[ she leans in and narrows her silver eyes as shelooks at Mike and begins to inspect his physical form, even going so far as to poke him in the chest.]

One of Nicolas' human companions? and YOU are courting Karen? well, young man, just remember that Karen descends from ME, the moon goddess AND the goddess of witchcraft. you treat her properly or you'll spend your remaining days in the company of aquatic creatures...as ONE of them.

[Nicolas would recall Hecate's bluntness from his time in Greece. as she looked around to see Sharon and Alycia.]

the other mortal, Alycia Barnett. You're here as well. Truly your bravery would put many would be warriors of this time to shame and YOU..

[ walking over to Sharon and looking her over.]

what a beautifull creature you are! Hephastus would LOVE to behold your synergy of humanity and technology. I understand that the avian species of this time head your call as well.

[ looks around still..]

where is the one who channels the light itself? the one called "MorningStar"? I know that i pulled ALL of you from the touch of death.

[ the wind and the waves continue to provide natural soundtrack around them as they stand/sit .]

aerie!!

Nicolas was making his way to the forest edge when a voice caused him to turn on a dime. Returning to the group, he stood transfixed (along with Mike) as Hecate made her appearance. She was as visually stunning as ever, and Morgan made sure to mark her territory, clearing her throat and nudging him hard in the ribs. He smirked, boldly meeting Hectae's eyes as she caught him looking. She, however, looked shamelessly herself, inspecting his arm and commenting on how he might fare against Olympians in the Arena. Clearing his throat, Nicolas summoned his best baritone as he addressed the goddess.

Hecate, it is TRULY a pleasure to see you again.

Trying not to look at Morgan's burn a hole into the side of his head with her eyes, Nicolas watched as Hecate addressed Mike, warning him about harming her charges and inspecting him as well. Mike thought of touching her hand as it brushed across his chest in greeting but Nicolas advised him quickly.

DON'T do that. It is at best risky.

Mike simply cleared his throat and nodded his head slowly as she warned him.

Y-Yes, ma'am.

Nicolas watched as she addressed each of them in turn, and then asked for Delilah. Nicolas stepped forward.

I will retrieve her straightway.

And with that, he was gone, teleporting himself to the stream where Delilah sat thinking. He answered her question.

Because you love us, just as we love you. They're ANGRY, Delilah, because they feel betrayed not at what you did, but HOW it was done. Morgan loves me VERY much, but I will never be able to make her choose me over you. They cannot understand how Connor was able to make you choose him, nor can they currently separate it from your very real misgivings about the team's tactics. They cannot hear what you think when you agonize over this. Delilah, look...this will all pass in time I'm sure, but right now it is simply difficult for them. C'mon.

Nicolas picks her up in his arms quickly and playfully.

I owe you a ride anyway and I have someone who is waiting to see you. So relax and...

Nicolas leaps high into the air, into the sky. They had a bird's eye view of the island paradise for a few moments, then Nicolas landed noiselessly, softly in the midst of the team, gently letting Delilah down.

Delilah...HECATE.

[ Sharon wasnt sure WHAT to think. she'd barely had time to grieve for her son, and she was JUST starting to "come around", having participated in the fight against the Sentinels. But her secret hope to be reunited with her son in the hereafter was not to be.]

[ many members of the six expressed their anguish, and ANGER toward Delilah. and Alycia asked to pass through the seige perilous. as Haleigh spoke out, Sharon retorted.]

i dont CARE about any of that! I was HOPING i wouldnt survive. I ...wanted to see my son again. Being HERE, knowing what it cost...it HARDLY seems like an "opportunity" Haleigh.

[ she had to be honest about how she felt. and now that she was more "integrated"...instead of seeming distant and detached...she seemed more BITTER and HOSTILE than ever before. a bad combination with someone who was now pretty near invulnerable and capable of inflicing severe damage upon her target. She was still adjusting. she was just further along now.]

[ the moonlight shined down, and a woman stepped forward. one whose name she'd heard Alison and Morgan invoke before.]

..."Hecate"?

[judging by everyone's reactions, they MUST have dealt with her before. probably while Sharon was dead, but she was a mythology buff and having named one of her gryfalcons after ARTEMIS, she knew quite well what Hecate was the goddess of, and her position in the unique "Trinity of the Moon."]

[ as Hecate greeted and inspected Sharon, complimenting her on her unique beauty, something Sharon had hardly heard since her return from the dead, Sharon looked upon the goddess. they both had silver eyes! ]

Hecate, the moon goddess...goddess of witch craft...the "Crone" in the trinity of the moon. one of the most mysterious and often misunderstood goddesses.

[ Hecate's mannerisms SCREAMED "Morgan"...especially in Morgan's days prior to the Inferno. watching her was like watching the blueprint of Morgan...and Hecate was in fact the "mother" of all modern day witches.]

[ she looked at Nicolas and Mike, who were obviously intrigued by the goddess. it was a reminder to Sharon that Nicolas wasnt a young boy anymore. far from it. he was a man now...a young man...possibly the youngest member of the team but definately a man with an eye for the ladies. Sharon and Karen were the oldest of the team/allies present and while they certainly didnt look their age, she couldnt help but to smile a bit at Nicolas AND Mike's fascination with the goddess AND Morgan's not so subtle elbowing of Nicolas.]

are you here to help us? to set us free?

[ Sharon asked, as Hecate revealed her purpose and that ATHENA would be joining them. If it werent for the circumstances behind all of this, Sharon would be quite excited. The Six had always been her unexpected "pass" to adventures beyond anything most people would think of, NOW , outside of her own new found existence, she was meeting goddesses of greek antiquity. could it get any more unreal?]

[ still, the novelty of it all was constantly dulled by her longing wish to see her son, FREE of his monstrous transformation.

we can build a fire, sit around and tell ghost stories and gossip about Hera ..itll be JUST LIKE OLD TIMES!

"Funny, real funny. I didn't realize you became a COMEDIAN. [rolling her eyes, Hecate laughed and commented on her expression] Oh shut up."

:: Smiling, Persephone shook her head chuckling. It was always wonderful to be alongside of Hecate again. As warped as her life had been, Hecate and Darkchilde were never far from her thoughts. Suddenly, Nicolas appeared from the sky with Delilah in his arms. Blinking, Ava lifted an eyebrow. When she asked him to retrieve Delilah, she didn't mean for him to literally grab her and carry her back...but hey, whatever works. ::

[ Hecate looked upon Nicolas.]

how eager he is to put his best foot forward. Hades used to be like that, when he wasnt around his arrogant pig of a brother, Zeus.

[ she then looked at Morgan and Alison who both looked quite unhappy, while Nicolas went to retrieve Delilah.]

dont worry, my children.

[ she turned to Persephone, who was also feeling rather deflated.]

this shouldnt be new for you. first you were an outcast on olympus and now on earth...and not even your original timeline's earth. but at least you have company to keep this time. but don't worry. humans, while pitifully limited by their prejudice, ALSO have the unexpected benefit of being collectively fickle. in time...this obsession with hating their own just because of the genetic twists will pass, much like the earlier humans fear of fire and every other "new thing" that came through the passage of time.

THEY need you more than you need THEM. Keep that in mind.

[referring to this planet's populace needing the Six.]

[ as Nicolas presented Delilah, Hecate looked upon the young woman.]

ah so THERE is EVE. tell me, was the apple as tasty as it...or should i say HE looked?

[ waving her hand dismissively]

and before you attempt to be stoic with me, save it. you're in no position. you're no different than any other woman throughout time that has made a STUPID descision involving a man, just as Bishop was no different than Zeus...who would charm and LIE his way into a woman's heart to get what he wanted.

You hardly live up to your name sake [ Delilah], you were USED by a man, instead of using the man but you'll learn i suppose...and hopefully along the way you'll DROP the moral conflict you have going on...Aphrodite ALWAYS bored me to death with her "conviction" speeches. take it from me. it wasnt usefull then...and it wont be now.

you're DIFFERENT than the average human so you're not going to be able to completely LIVE /ABIDE by average human standards. ACCEPT IT, MOVE ON.

[ looking at Alison and Morgan.]

and for pitty sake, DONT be like Athena and hold a grudge for 2000 years. do you have any idea what its like to hear the same story OVER and OVER again? i mean yes, Persephone was about as stupid as PAN for what she did...but she was young, she was learning. Just as Delilah is learning.

[ looking at her friend]

no offense...just a point of reference.

and as we all know...everything happens for a reason.

and if i remember correctly, it was Haleigh's own words that helped push US all to finally resolve our issues with each other. who knew that a human could enlighten a goddess?

but just as Persephone, Athena and I were able to resolve things [ after the passage of 1000's of years :D ] you three need to remember that and act accordingly.

<< Spellbinder watched Hecate.>>

she's like ME...before Valiant and every OTHER thing that helped to turn me into a bitter, vengefull BASKETCASE

<< Morgan wished for the days when she was more carefree...she remembered how much fun she had with Blaze when they finally discovered each other while on Valiant. but from then till now, it was amazing to Morgan that she hadnt cracked up. still, there was something to be said, Hecate certainly approved of her taste in men AND noticed that Mike was courting her Mother. THAT still was kind of...unusual to her. that one man and his colleague were romancing a mother and daughter duo.>>

<< she couldnt help but giggle a bit as Hecate gave mike a stern warning, after inspecting him, much like she did Nicolas when she first met him in ancient greece.>>

You certainly have "caught up" with the changing times...you seem to be very aware of today's humans, their sensibilities, or lack t heir of.

<< referring to Hecate's casual dismissal of Human's hatred of "mutants and metahumans" since that meant essentially that humans hated THEMSELVES.>>

<< as Nicolas brought Delilah back, She could see Delilah didnt look happy. Morgan herself kept a straight face. not unhappy...at least not entirely. She realized though that she and Alison had been quite hard on Delilah despite her saving sharon's life AND standing with them against the sentinels. Unknown to Morgan, Nicolas explained it perfectly to Delilah, and hopefully it would help lay the foundation for forgiveness from all parties.>>

<< Hecate both acknowledged and chided all three women for this growing spat between them, using herself, athena and persephone's CENTURIES long feud as an object lesson. it was a telling example indeed and Morgan looked upon Delilah with a far less harsh gaze than before.>>

my best friend. and i treated her like garbage just now.

<< Hecate admonished them all to work it out. and she was right.>>

this shouldnt be new for you. first you were an outcast on olympus and now on earth...and not even your original timeline's earth. but at least you have company to keep this time. but don't worry. humans, while pitifully limited by their prejudice, ALSO have the unexpected benefit of being collectively fickle. in time...this obsession with hating their own just because of the genetic twists will pass, much like the earlier humans fear of fire and every other "new thing" that came through the passage of time.

"No, it's not new to me. In fact, normally I thrive on being isolated and the outcast. But then I learned, all isolation does is make me a bitter person. One that engages in horrible actions that effect those I love."

:: Of course, referring to what she ultimately did to Hecate by killing Hades, Persephone knew what type of person she could become if she wasn't careful. She came so far with this group, but it wouldn't take much to revert her back to her old ways. Quietly looking from Hecate to Delilah as she chastized her, she basically said what Alison and Morgan had WANTED to say...but in a less harsh manner. But Persephone soon shot Hecate a look as she compared her to PAN, a hellion that caused havoc for the olympians, for what she had done those thousands of years ago. ::

"Offense taken. [changing the subject] So, when is the Goddess of Pain and Ass going to show up anyhow? Or is she poking around as we speak?"

:: standing to the side with her arms forward, Alison hardly glanced at Delilah when she was brought back to see Hecate. she let her hair blow over her face to obscure the slight look she DID give...and then Hecate began to correct all three of them.::

:: she was was right of course. and just as Haleigh had reminded Hecate and Athena now Hecate was reminding Morgan and Alison. She DID enjoy Hecate chiding Delilah for her never ending moral crusade, and felt the ZING when she compared Persephone's antics to that of Pan. The woman didnt hold back did she?::

:: she saw where Karen and Morgan got it from.::

:: she tucked her hair behind her air and looked over at Morgan, who seemed to feel the same way. they BOTH knew they were way harsh on Delilah and were pushing her to feel alienated. sisters shouldnt do that to one of their own.::

*sigh*

:: she HATED moments like this.::

:: Persephone, who was not terribly pleased at Hecate comparing her to Pan, quickly changed the subject and inquired about Athena....in a less flattering way.::

something tells me Athena is probably already here.

:: pointing to a white owl flying high above in a circular pattern::

arrival

:: trumpets sound off...EXTRA LOUD and seemingly RIGHT behind Persephone with the purpose of deliberately startling her.::

:: Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war steps forward with a smug look on her face as she notes the effect the blaring trumpets had on the unexpecting goddess Persephone.::

now, now, Persephone. Let us not spend TOO much time making disparaiging remarks. You're starting to sound more and more like Hera, who would be comparable to this world's "least liked office employee".

:: they may have made amends, but these two would ALWAYS be on tense ground with one another....at least NOW though, it was not at LETHAL levels like it was centuries ago.::

:: Athena paused for a moment as she extended her arm to Bupol, who fluttered down and perched, looking upon the team with his sleepy black eyes as his "mother" gently stroked his feathered head. the owl notices the gryfalcons looking at him, but pays them no mind as he sits contentedly on Athena's arm. ::

:: she looks upon the six.::

I greet you all. It has been quite some time since our first meeting on Olympus, but the memories , i do carry with me from time and space to the next.

I am here with Hecate to discuss your current situation, and offer you...choices. It is our way of repaying you for your efforts against Circe and your risking your lives to deal with a problem that WE [ Hecate, Persephone, Athena and the rest of the Olympians in some way] allowed to grow to disastrous proportions.

:: Blaring trumpets sounded behind Persephone, causing the goddess to close her eyes with irritation as she gripped her hands into fists. Turning and meeting Athena eye to eye, Persephone's went dark with anger as the goddess of wisdom insulted her, comparing her to HERA of all people. What was with these comparisons tonight? Gritting her teeth, Persephone's voice was low and steady. ::

"Careful, rabbit..."

:: There were so many things she wanted to say...but she held her tongue, for the SIX's sake. Turning away from Athena, Persephone's icy glare and irritated expression stayed on her face as she walked away from Athena, making her way to the back of the group. Folding her arms across her chest, she looked upon Athena with disdain as she began to speak to the six as a group. ::

Nicolas smiled as he listened to Hecate speak to the sisterly trio. perhaps sooner rather than later things would be patched up. As she spoke further, Nicolas looked up and knew who was here as the trumpets startled Ava to his amusement.

Bupol?! Athena!!

Nicolas did not fancy himself a warrior. Nicolas WAS a warrior AND a scientist and so he held Athena in very high esteem. He listened intently as she spoke of a choice to make. He was the first to reply.

Goddess, I thank you and Hecate BOTH for your mercy in this situation, but what choices are there for us?

on the isle

:: the goddess of war made the scene...and not without her own dig at Persephone both in deed and words. Alison couldnt decide whether SHE herself was being slightly immature for being a bit amused by the blaring trumpets toward Persephone or if it was actually Athena showing she had her own catty sense of humor after all. either way, Persephone was definately not amused. and this moment provided a distraction from Alison's own brooding over the situation with Delilah. Could it have been as easy as Hecate painted it out to be? after all, the goddess WAS speaking from experience....they werent THAT far "removed" from humans when it came to how they handled their personal issues.::

:: still, at the moment Athena was here. Alison nodded as Athena greeted them all. The Seer had a great respect for her as well. she was the personification of "female empowerment"...not that Hecate wasnt...but Athena was DIFFERENT.::

:: Nicolas, OF COURSE, had to be the first to communicate with her. Alison was almost CERTAIN he was running for some kind of political office. He would charm the birds out of the trees if he could.::

:: she cut her cobalt blue eyes over to the tall man as he spoke, stifling the urge to interrupt but there was no need for TOO much cattyness in one session...after all, with Athena present, Persephone would be brimming with the urge.::

:: she had the seige perilous in her hand. Alycia was demanding to pass through it, but because of the sequence of events, she had not had the chance to discuss that with her. now Athena and Hecate were here present them with something else. she too wondered what it could be.::

<< morgan and her mother looked up to see the owl, then seconds later the blaring trumpets. they seemed almost DELIBERATELY loud and exaggerated and Persephone's reaction , followed by Athena's smug smile was all it took for the mother and daughter to see what was going on. Morgan looked at Nicolas as he seemed to be amused bit it as if to say "knock it off" :D >>

Greetings, Athena.

<< Morgan responded. Athena was the one goddess Morgan had not interacted with as much during their time on Olympus, though she had been one of Morgan's favorites...not to mention the NINTENDO game "Athena" being one of morgan's favorite game's to play as a child :D >>

its funny how things all lead back around to one another.

<< who would have thought that the goddesses from olympus would have come to their aid again in a time like THIS? it was comforting to know that the Six had friends in "high places", even outside of Ororo.>>

<< as Athena stood beside Hecate and addressed them, the time came to get down to business. once again, Morgan had the secret hope that she might "inherit" the Isle of Aerie. Not only would it put her closer to Alison, who resided at Minerva's mansion, but it was a place of great importance in terms of magick and history the rotunda was sprawling, large enough for them all to have their own realms within. but she didnt want to get ahead of herself....so she waited, standing with her mother and Nicolas...and Harbinger not too far away. Sharon and Alycia stood together, on the other end, noticeably not interacting in tthe proceedings too much. It was clear from their facial expressions that they were not terribly thrilled or MOVED much by anything that was going on. >>

I know....you're like damned a cockroach.

Haleigh chuckled. the reference, while slightly revolting, touched the cliche about the impossible survivability of the insect.

"Now THAT is going on my tombstone. Right next to the infamous Die Hard quote. How does it go? Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker...."

She joked, as her sister sulked about the impending appearance of Athena. Ava grumbled something about needing a drink, and Haleigh dutifully handed her sister the flask she'd been nursing.

"Aww, come on.... Athena's not THAT terrible to be around. She's kind of a bad ass, yeah? I mean.... she held her own with ME, that's impressive. [downplaying the outcome] Of course, I was GROSSLY limited in my powers at the time.... but still."

Hecate gracefully forgave Haleigh for her trespass... and Haleigh was grateful... too many a time had an outburst of hers gone down the worst possible way.... but this time she was granted a little slack.

"Well, I may have ONCE been human... but I'm hardly anything like that now.... still.... I appreciate the leeway.... my teammates wanted me to be more in touch with my feeeeeelings.... the downside is that sometimes my emotions get away from me. I'm still trying to fully assimilate them."

Haleigh admitted, as Alison backed Alycia's desire to enter the Seige Perilous. Haleigh could hardly believe her ears.

Harbinger said:
Is it so wrong, to want to take your life...or what's left of it into your own hands?

"And just WHAT do you think the rest of us are going to do, sit around twiddling our thumbs?? Well, I'll tell you what I'M going to do. I'm going to take what's LEFT of my life into my OWN HANDS. I'm going to STAND UP for what I believe in, and I'm going to SHOW those hateful bastards that they can take away my HOME, my FREEDOM, and my CAREER, but they CANT take away WHO I AM or what I STAND FOR. now, I'VE still got some FIGHT left in me. If SHE [shooting a look at Alycia] just wants to JUMP SHIP and ABANDON us, after EVERYTHING, then GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE. [scoffing] I can't BELIEVE you're OKAY with this. This is worse than what Delilah JUST did! Hell, Delilah may have chosen a MAN over us..... [scowling] but Barnett chooses HERSELF."

It was clear that Haleigh wasn't about to change her mind on this.... no matter how many stepped in on Alycia's behalf. Certainly, Haleigh understood that Alycia had more than earned the opportunity for a fresh start.... but they ALL had and to Haleigh, there was just NO EXCUSE for anyone to walk out on their dysfunctional little family unit, and that's just what Alycia was suggesting she'd do.

Hecate gave each of them a good once over, as they waited for Athena to make an appearance.... and what a grand entrance she made.... blaring trumpets and propositions and what not.

"Athena. [looking suspiciously about] I gather your golden horses couldn't come along? What a terrible shame.... they seemed so fond of me before..... [as Nicolas probes Athena's offer of choices for them] Ah, yes... do tell... what would the mighty Athena be willing to do for a motley crew of modern crusaders such as ourselves?"
