Outside the Hellfire club

[ Delilah followed Tink to Morgan's bed, and saw the images the cat placed before her. ]

"Oh, she didn't!"

[ Delilah turned on her heel and made for the door. ]

"Morgan would NEVER forgive me."

[ She quickly turned back to the room and ran over to Tink, stroking her head a couple of times before heading for the door again. ]

"Thanks Tinkerbell!"

[ Delilah ran to the elevator and pushed the button, impatiently waiting. ]

"Come on, come on."

[ The doors opened and she jumped inside and rode it to the street level. She drove recklessly through the streets of New York towards the location Tink had provided her of the Hellfire Club. She parked a few blocks from the brownstone on the upper east side and ran the rest of the way, stopping just outside. ]

Well, no time like the present...

[ Delilah made ready, took a deep breath, and pushed her way through the front door. ]

Inside the Hellfire club

Intruder Alert! top floor- sector 8! Intruder identified as Doctor, Karen Victoria. High level sorceress. all available WILDPACK to sector 8 immeidately!

:: MorningStar arrived in a most traditional way, but her entrance wasnt IMMEDIATELY noticed as there was an ALARM already going off...probably because Karen was busy attacking Malice. MorningStar was able to survey the splendor and opulence of the vestibule before making her way inside and down the main hall. It was her first time ever having been inside this establishment although NYPD had some files on the place due to suspicious activity over the years.::

Intruder alert! main floor, main hall way. Intruder identified Mutant: MorningStar. Intruder Alert!

:: her seemingly easy entrance would quickly be forgotten as all the windows were now sealed shit by carbonium steel sheets and insulated against a variet of energy attacks...and she know found herself confronted by oncoming WILDpack soldiers...who were armed and their faces covered with masks with eye slits and a mouth slit to give them a more featureless/intimidating facial look. they wore state of the art body countouring armoured suits that highlighted their lean, toned physiques and brandished small yet high powered plasma cannons::

:: the soldiers were taking aim when from her immediate left, a LARGER soldier lunged forward...preparing to TACKLE HER from the side::

[ MorningStar entered the Hellfire Club to the sounds of the alerts going off because of Karen's presence. A stroke of luck, as it informed her of Karen's exact location. The place was certainly lavish, she had to admit it, though tasteful. She had heard the stories, of course, but she had never actually dealt with the mysterious Hellfire Club before.

As she walked down the hall the alarms went off - she had been discovered. Not that she'd tried too hard to hide herself. She raised her arms to attack the soldiers rushing towards her. But just at that moment she glimpsed something coming at her out of the corner of her eye.

She turned just as the larger soldier dove at her. She crouched in evasion, the soldier sailing over her yet recovering into a forward roll. She stood and turned to him, landing a booted heel to his back. He grabbed her leg and tried to pull her to the ground, but Delilah twisted her body and put both hands on the ground, flipping herself away from him and the force pulling her leg out of his grasp.

The soldier rushed her again, and Delilah evaded while landing a chop to his neck. He responded by punching her in the face. Reeling from the pain, she grabbed his arm while simulataneoudly kneeing him in the stomach. As he doubled over, she took a step back and unleashed a photon blast directly into his chest. ]

good action post with MorningStar!!
more problems

:: as MorningStar disposed of the larger soldier, the other approaching Soldiers began to aim and and FIRE rapid volleys of plasma blasts. some took cover behind furniture while others continued to advance toward the mutant.::

:: the blasts were large and posessed a powerfull concussive impact should they connect with her body. as it was..a few of them flew dangerously close to her as they passed by her side and her head.::

::she was faced with 6 six WILDpack soldiers all together::

::meanwhile Blackout, who had finally manage to recover from Karen's painfull spell, was now aware of the intruder alarms going off. Karen was obviously attacking Malice...and now MorningStar was in the building and handling the soldiers with splendid form. Blackout had to decide where she was needed most and since she knew Malice was plenty powerfull, AND she had an axe to grind with MorningStar...it became clear where she wanted to go. The WILDpack, while far better equipped and abled...would not last long against a mutant with such a high level of energy projection capability::

:fdevil:

Illustra- Foxfire digs into Alexis' past

Each of the leading ladies of the Six spoke their concerns for both Malice and Blackout. But Blaze was engrossed in her background check on Alexis that she barely heard much of anything. Her eyes making furious work of the criminal record on Blackout. She sat hunched against the large wooden desk where the black laptop was positioned.

Cocking her head to the side, trestles of chocolate locks cascaded down along her heart - shaped face. Her emerald eyes sparkling with life and radiancy. She quietly noted all of the records on Alexis. She found the results appeared something like this:

- Arrested for kidnaping: Barbara Montgomery and Adam Chandler, Jr. (nephew)

- Arrested for attempted murder

- Arrested for falsifying government files

- Convicted of murder and sent to prison for 2 months. later proven that she was framed

- 5 DUI's

So, obviously, Blaze wasn't the only one who had a skeleton or two in her cloest. Who was Barbara Montgomery? Blaze would do some research of her own. She never required sleep, so she would spend the night up. Pushing back the chair with the meeting adjourned she turned to each woman. Nodding once she turned and left the room, almost like she was in a hurry. The black laptop still on with Alexis' criminal record available. Blaze had supplied a firewall to protect Illustra from viruses and any tracing to this location.

Walking through the hallway she pulled back the steel door to the stairwell. She freely jogged up the white stairs gently. Alexis' criminal record in her mind. So this bitch wanted to switch sides, Blaze would "mind fuck" her too. Blackout or not, Alexis was STILL human, which meant her emotions were real. She would conduct her own private investigation and look more closely into her brother AJ's death.

Maybe not a Telepath or empath, but Blaze could be equally cunning and resourceful. And if you really provoke the fiery spirit, she'll find those old scars. Scars that she will pick until it bleeds.

A smile growing on her glossy lips. Her pony tail swaying in the air with her small jog upstairs. She was at her room in no time. Pushing open the door, her red forcefields deactivated with her presence. "Thief of Hearts by Madonna." She called out to her automatic sound system. The silver sound system which was tucked behind her entertainment center became animated. The aqua lighting lit up her dark apartment. "Bitch!" Came the introduction words of Madonna's song opening, which echoed through her crimson walls.

Waving out her fingertips, the white pillar candles ignited in flickering flames casting an eerie shadow over the room. Pulling out her small cell phone the blue lights illuminating in her palm. Hitting the call button the phone rang twice just as a man's voice was heard. "Hello?" His thick Australian voice noticeable. "Hey, I need a favor...its involving Alexis....and another special guest whom I need to contact. She's from another plane of existence. Oh..you know her reputation...you don't want to cross her. No..they don't need to know...this is personal. Find whatever you can on Alexis and find out the results on her brother AJ's death. Hell, bring me his body if you can....I plan on wrapping it up and sending it federal express to my sweetie pie. And find out something on Barbara Montgomery and Adam Chandler Jr. We're going to have a family reunion...one that won't be so sweet. Oh and that special contact is Darkchilde. Seeing as your a teleporter you might be able to contact her....but it will be highly difficult. Keep me updated."

Blaze closed her Motorola flip phone, placing it back inside her pocket. Picking up one of her red tipped darts from the coffee table she whirled it across the room where it indented into the wall. And pressed between two pairs of eyes was a blown up picture of Alexis. The dart hit the bulls eye making Blaze smirk.

"Soon."

Hellfire club

[ With the larger soldier down, MorningStar turned her attention to the 6 WILDpack soldiers now coming at her. They had clearly expected the other soldier to make quick work of her and had held their fire: with him gone, they now were coming at her full force.

Reaching out with one arm, she sent another powerful photon blast into the nearest soldier. She threw up her other hand, palm facing out, creating a semicircle shield of green light in front of her. The plasma blasts hit the shield with great force, causing it to shimmer. Delilah had to struggle to keep up its intensity, and it took effort on her part.

Screw this.

Raising a hand above her head, fingers splayed, she drew the energy from the lights in the hallway, causing them to flicker and die. She then pointed at the soldiers, and a crackling, strobing light display was bombarding them from all sides. She took the opportunity to coldcock a disoriented soldier that had almost reached her and, using his discarded weapon, fired into another. ]

Hellfire Club

:: Alarms began to blare throughout Hellfire club alerting everyone of an intruder....none other than Karen Victoria. The old hag finally made herself "visible" for everyone and was most likely attacking Malice at that very moment. Exiting her room, Alexis moved down the hallway hearing the alarm change pace and announce that Morningstar had entered the building. Lowering her brows, that was the last person she would of expected to be making an appearence here... ::

:: Quickening her pace down the hall, she turned the corner just in time to see Delilah unleash an attack against a bunch of WILDPack officers. Extending her hand out, Alexis sent a massive surge of electricity in the forum of a "wall" down the darkened hallway, covering all possibly escaping points. ::

"I always knew you were STUPID, but I never pegged you as being suicidal. But oh well...atleast I get to kill atleast ONE of you tonight!"

[ Seeing Blackout coming down the hall, Delilah shot the remaining three soldiers in quick succession. She tossed the weapon to the ground and squared up to Alexis as she electrified the hallway.

She put on a fake smile. ]

"Hey, Ally, long time no see. I just thought I'd drop by and we could trade beauty tips..."

[ MorningStar threw her arms out in front of her, sending two intense photon blasts from her hands at Blackout. ]

LOL! Loved the last line, very witty. Plus the introduction battle scene.
Hellfire Club- Malice's chambers

<<gasping as the now DIAMOND formed Malice appeared behind her, Karen had no time to try to defend herself before she was backhanded across the jaw. the painfull blow sent Karen falling to the floor and a few paces away from where she stood.>>

UGNN!!

<< the thud from Karen hitting the floor was painfull to her body as the blow itself was to her jaw. She hadnt been hit this hard EVER BEFORE that she could remember...and she was now left stunned from the blow.>>>

Hellfire Club- Malice's chambers

:: Malice laughs softly as she looks upon the fallen sorceress.::

what's the matter, dear Karen, no witty retort? no vicious spell to cast?

::kicking the doctor, who laid face down....the doctor seemed to be unconscious::

ah well, I guess that takes care of the avenging widow.

:: scoffing as she stepped over Karen to a hidden control panel in the wall, she pressed a button to get a visual to see what was happening elsewhere in the building.::

Ahh, Delilah Trelevan has entered the building. No doubt to rescue the doctor. They certainly keep tabs on one another don't they?

::watching as MorningStar dispatched several WILDpack soldiers and held her own against more with the plasma cannons...she nodded slowly::

hmm yes, MorningStar is quite powerfull. I can see why Alexis took an immediate dislike to this one, she's an energy wielder/manipulator whose limits have not been defined yet. an IMMEDIATE rival for Alexis in terms of power from the moment she joined The Six full time. Her sterling character, her integrity....everything that Alexis is not. Delilah has the trust and respect of her team mates as well as her peers in law enforcement and she was highly favored by Morgan as well as her mother. Alexis was always an outcast even in her own family....there was much for her to be jealous of.

::smirking as she saw Blackout appear::

Already she defends her new home as readily as she would have Illustra. Blackout has certainly displayed a proactive stance she never possesed as "Shockwave". Its a change i intend to FULLY exploit in the days to come.

::as she turned away from the monitor that was covered again by a moving picture on the wall, she found herself on the receiving end of a surprise::

Hellfire club- Malice's chambers

<<standing behind MALICE this time, Karen had a glint in her own eye...as she raised a large SPIKED HEAD MACE up>>

Exploit THIS!

<< with a mightly swing, Karen slams the mace across Malice's jaw and returns the favor as she sends MALICE flying into the wall before she falls to the floor>>

my magicks's allow me to CONJURE ANY weapon that i need in battle, Malice. I may not be as STRONG as you physically, but I am every bit as adaptable. You said it yourself, "I've been in the game for a long time, battling with the hellfire club in some way for over 20 years." and for all your power and tactical savvy, you made one mistake that HELENA never made when fighting with me, NEVER underestimate your enemy!

<< as Malice fell to the floor, with a bloody gash on her face and seemingly unconscious, Karen stood with one hand on her hip as she casually tossed the large spiked head mace into the air. the rushing harp sound was heard before the conjured weaponed disappeared into thin air. Karen nodded with satisfaction....as she stepped over Malice, allowing the cape of her flying suit to brush over the telepath>>

MorningStar is here to "rescue" me. A brave young woman, but i did not NEED to be rescued...this was a PERSONAL MATTER.

<< Karen had cought wind of where Delilah was in the building and that Blackout was now confronting her>>

I must get down there and get us BOTH out of here before we are overwhelmed!

:: Narrowing her eyes at Morningstar, Alexis watched as the photon blasts collided with her electricity wall creating a massive explosion. Blinding lights filled the hallway but disipated quickly. Whipping her arm around her head, an energy whip suddenly formed right as Alexis thrusted her hand out toward Delilah. The whip instantly wrapped around the mutant's torso sending pulses of electricity throughout her body. ::

"You're a bit late for tips dear...but i'm sure Alison can give you the name of her plastic surgeon."

:: Pulling her weight back forcefully, Alexis pulled Delilah forward, increasing the intensity of the electricity. ::

Meanwhile at Illustra - Blaze's apartment to Morg's sweet

Unaware of the battle taking place at the Hellfire Club, Blaze moved through her apartment briskly. She needed to speak with Delilah about a few personal favors of information she required. But the small black Motorola phone rang with the Halloween theme song echoing in her apartment. Scooping up the phone she flipped it open, she knew who it was. Her personal source to the other world.

"Tell me you found something of interest." She paused allowing her source to speak what he had found. His Australian accent speaking firmly in her ear, "Montgomery is dead, it appears Alexis had a grudge against her. Her brother's skeleton or rather his corpse will be in your care in ten minutes. I'll personally arrive with it." Blaze grinned evilly at this news, "and what of Darkchilde?" He sighed into the phone, "tracking her is like finding a needle in the haystack. I'm guessing she's in Limbo, which is highly difficult to contact her there." Blaze nodded, "very well, bring AJ's corpse here." He interrupted her, "you might find this fascinating but Adam Chandler has a twin...and this twin has a son." Blaze's features lite up with delight, "and did she begrudge them?" "Yes, she did, and they are still alive."

Blaze walked around her arm chair, "see if you can get a hold of them and bring them to me personally. I want Alexis to burn with her wretched family she so passionately fights along side. She stands for the company who KILELD my sister. Alison is right...its time to eliminate the her good for nothing carcass. But I have a few people I need to see, one of them Delilah and the other Haleigh. Keep the brother's body in your collection until I contact you again."

She closed her phone with a clap of her hands. Tucking the phone into her side pocket she walked past each of the candles. And in an eerie blur of power each of them zapped into her body as she retracted them. Darkness surrounding her apartment but she opened her door, walking out in search of Delilah.

Punching the elevator door, which opened automatically. Blaze frowned at the scent of her friend's perfume. Rising her nose into the air, her keen sense of smell inhaling. Narrowing her eyes she punched the number for Morgan's sweet.

The express elevator delivered the mutant to the room, the doors opening. "Karen?" She called out, not wanting to disturb the woman. "Alycia?" She called. "Delilah?" But she found no trace of Delilah or Karen. Her eyes scanning through the room.

Pulling her phone out again she dialed for Haleigh's number. "Hales, we have a problem. Karen and Delilah are not here...can you get a trace on them?"

Hellfire club- main floor

[ MorningStar found herself entangled in Blackout's whip and being pulled forward. Pain coursed through her body as the electricity burned her. She focused herself on the roar of the electricity and battle around her, the crackling light that Blackout's electricity was giving off. She brought her arms in to her body, and absorbed the sound and light energy into her body. ]

"Come now, you can do better than that..."

[ Thrusting her arms forward, she sent a massive sonic boom towards Alexis, then, now freed, brought one hand back towards her body, raising once again the green light forcefield in front of her. ]

:: Being slammed backwards, Alexis hit and slid across the oak wood floors violently that lined the hallway with a huff. Grunting, she immediately pushed herself up off the floor not giving Delilah enough time to attack again. ::

:: Smirking, Alexis was never one to play fair...and if Delilah wanted more, Alexis would be than happy to obligue. Snapping her fingers (reminiscent of Helena) five WILDPack men appeared out of thin air covering Delilah from behind. Stepping forward, Alexis wiggled her fingers at her side as sparks of electricity immitted from them. ::

"Kill her."

:: The WILDPack men began to swarm Delilah as Alexis continued to walk forward waiting for the perfect moment of vunerability to strike with her own attack. ::

[ Delilah felt the presence of the soldiers behind her. Her eyes narrowed and her head lowered as she glared at Alexis. ]

"That's just like you Alexis - sending your little playthings in when your own abilities are - shall we say - inadequate."

[ MorningStar clenched her fists and hunched her shoulders, then threw back her head and arms. A ring of light emanated from her midsection, with her at its center. The laser beam grew larger as it moved at lightning speed until it came into contact with her adversaries, slicing through the WILDpack soldiers with surgical precision. Limbs and whole sections of bodies fell to the ground as if a giant sawblade had cut through them. ]

Down to the main floor of the Hellfire club

<< a rushing harp sound is hard as Karen suddenly appears on the main floor in the hallway a few feet BEHIND the current struggle between Blackout and MorningStar>>

<< quickly assessing the situation and the area, MorningStar had obviously made short work of the small group of WILDpack soldiers. there was some damage to the interior of the hall and vestibule. The windows where surrounded by electrical fields as was the door...but that would be no problem for Karen...she didnt make her presence immediately known as Alexis and Delilah were locked in a feirce face off at the moment>>

the longer we stay..the greater the possibility for us being captured. i didnt want anyone to follow me here but i think now that I have made my POINT to Malice...it is time to leave

<<as Delilah cut down more WILDpack soldiers with a LASER blast, Karen silently gestured...as her cape blew in the wind...black halos of magick formed around her hand...and with a nother rushing sound...BLACKOUT found herself ENSNARED by powerfull, constricting shadow tendrills of dark magick...the tendrills wrapped around her body like tight riings and were impossible to break physically.>>

Morningstar!!

<< Karen moved with a purpose...her cape sweeping over the fallen bodies of the WILDpack soldiers as she reached Delilah.>>

Time is short....we must leave this place immediately!

<< taking Delilah's hand...Karen sweeps her cape around herself and MorningStar..the harp sound is hard followed by a wind as the cape casts a shadow that swirls around both women...and in a flash..they are GONE, teleported out of the Hellfire club and safely back to Illustra ....leaving Blackout to try to free herself from the tendrills and to inform Malice of what has happened....>>

Haleigh sat in her study, her small reading glasses perched on her nose, a look of sheer determination on her face. She searched CI files for any hint of Malice... and also browsed ALL the information they had on Mystech, trying to get ANYTHING she could on the mysterious woman in white.... the woman who knew SO MUCH about the six that it gave Haleigh chills to think about it. Zach poked his head into the room, giving her a look of concern and a smile of encouragement. His deep voice snapped Haleigh from her trance and coaxed her away from her work.

Zach"Baby? The food's ready. Why don't you take a break and come join me?"

Haleigh looked up, taking a deep breath, and nodding after a short pause. She was hungry... and the pc would continue searching while she was eating. Zach thought it a small triumph that he managed to wrench her away-- she'd disappeared into her study the moment they came down to her floor and hadn't spoken, hadn't been out since. The desire to crush the woman responsible for all their pain seemed to have consumed her, and it made him worry. They sat down next to each other at a round glass table in the dining room, and Haleigh smiled softly. Two places were set under the light of a pair of candles, which cast a relaxing and romantic glow over the room. Moreover, he'd made her favorite plate, lasagna. Zach was trying [quite profusely] to take her mind off business and get her to relax. It had a theraputic effect, and Haleigh finally let go of everything. They talked as they ate, and it was almost as if they were two NORMAL people, just spending time together. They sat close together, and the soft glow fromt he candles creating a calm atmosphere, where it was, for once, just the two of them, and Haleigh suddenly wished desperately that she could be free of Mystech.... free of the fighting and the drama.... free of the burden of protecting the innocent. Haleigh leaned ovr and kissed Zach, a gentle and lingering kiss that changed into something a little more powerful and urgent, fueled by pent up stress and displaced passion. Zach set his glass of wine down, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her from her chair and into his lap sideways.

As Zach wrapped his other arm around her, Haleigh relented, taking a deep breath and relaxing into his arms, leaning her forehead against his. Zach asked what was wrong... a question for which she had no answer... something felt... wrong... something Haleigh couldn't place. Her conscious weighed sharply, and a pang of guilt struck her to her core. Zach knew exactly what it was.

Zach:"You have to let her go, Haleigh."

Haleigh looked up sharply, a fire blazing in her eyes. She planted her hands on his chest, pushing against his embrace. He wouldn't let her go, and they sat there like that, a standoff of sorts.

"You CAN'T ask me to just forget her... or what she did for us! How DARE you!"

"I'm NOT.... but you can't hold on so damn tightly, baby... she made the ultimate sacrifice, and I'm not saying you should just disregard that... but you can't PUNISH yourself for it either. She wouldn't want ANY of you to mourn her so deeply that you don't allow yourselves any happiness.... and you all DESERVE to be happy.... ESPECIALLY you. You think you don't... but you've worked so hard to become the woman you want to be... and you sacrifice EVERYTHING to protect this city.... the LEAST you deserve is to be happy.... and I KNOW... Morgan would want that.... for ALL of you."

Haleigh stared at him... speechless... Zach could alway see right into her soul... it was the reason they worked so well together... he understood her... and he seemed to know the best way to bring her out of a slump. She still had that challenging look in her eyes, but Zach could feel that in her heart, she knew he was right. He pulled her in and kissed her again, and though she was hesitant at first, she sooned retaliated, a strong, passionate embrace overtaking them both. Haleigh moved to straddle his lap, beginning to unbutton his shirt. Zach pushed his plate out of the way and lifted her onto the edge of the table, helping her out of her shirt as well.... and just as they were both getting into it.... the phone rang. They both tensed like a pair of teenagers caught in the act, then chuckled and relaxed. Haleigh sat up, running her hand through her hair.

"It's Blaze." She said, answering the phone. "Hey Blaze... what can I do for you?" Haleigh rubbed her eyes, as Zach eyed her impatiently. "Actually... I don't need to... Karen went to confront Malice a little while ago... Delilah went after her... and Karen brought them both back a few minutes ago... I've been monitoring them. Don't worry Blaze... they're both a little roughed up... but otherwise fine."

Back at Illustra

<< the midnight hour is reached, as Karen and Delilah return to Illustra....both a little shaken by their skirmmish at the Hellfire club, but unhurt otherwise.>>

<< Blaze alerted Haleigh to the apparent disappearence of the doctor and police officer but as it turned out, Haleigh had been tracking them the entire time and so as Blaze was able to relax, so too was Haleigh able to return to matters of the heart with her fiance' , Zach, who was prooving to be a most perceptive young man. He was helping Haleigh through the still very painfull loss of MORGAN...and more importantly..SHE was ALLOWING him to help her. >>

<< even in the cover of the midnight sky, the battle lines had been drawn...this ongoing battle with Malice wasnt merely for the sake of protecting others...it was going to be PERSONAL and no one ..not even ALISON could know just how low down Malice and Blackout would get during this most bitter struggle>>

:: Growling under her breath as Karen appeared, Alexis found herself constricted with black tendrills of dark magick; a smart move on the witches part. Giving them enough time to flee the scene be before Malice and more WILDpack soilders arrived, Alexis was left to deal with Karen's attack. ::

:: As the pressure began to increase from the tendrills constriction, the meta human body began to glow a brilliant white and soon she "sunk" into the flow (much like Shadowcat), escaping Karen's black magick attack. Within seconds, Alexis' body reappeared in the same fashion a few feet away. Without missing a beat, the brunette began to walk forward and down the hall toward Malice's chambers. ::

:: Stepping through the already opened door into Malice's chambers, Alexis crossed her arms obviously annoyed. ::

"That gereatric SLUT and her strobe light flacky are seriously beginning to piss me off."

:: Glancing around the room, it seemed to have taken a bit of a beating...but not nearly as bad as the hallway that Alexis and Delilah had fought in. ::

"If Karen and Delilah are suicidal enough to come here alone, the six won't be far behind them the next time. We need to strike them soon."
