The Morning After

[ As they appeared, Delilah looked around. Her first glance took in the people there, recognising them from both the blackflashes and the files she'd been provided with. Her second, scoped out the surroundings, always an important factor in any battle, though she sincerely hoped there would BE no battle here today. Her hand glided towards the gold sash around her waist. What could previously have been mistaken for a sash or belt of some kind, was actually Delilah's favoured golden whip, a device she was an expert at weilded, particularly with this whip's particular... properties. ]

"Rachel is the only one 'leaving' this apartment,"

[ Delilah said calmly, though her tone made it clear that if Morgan, Alison and Erika had their way, 'leaving' would be too kind a way for her method of exit. Although she couldn't hear everything Blaze said, she watched the proceeding events with a nod of satisfaction. Hopefully Haleigh and Cameron would listen... though she wasn't particualrly confident of that idea. Either way, she raised a hand slightly, a small but noticable pure white glow starting to form around it. Forewarning of the power she posessed. ]

The Davidoff Flat: Drawing a Line in the Sand

Haleigh stared back at Alison.... she had wanted to smash this woman in the face for months.... and now she'd have her chance.... or so she thought. blaze awoke, calling out. Haleigh turned her head to tell Blaze to stay down... but something strange happened... she seemed to move in slow motion... And Blaze was grabbing her arm and whisking her off to the side before she realized it. she found herself now outside the temporal field warp that Alison had been mnaipulating on the sly, Blaze holding on to her, whispering to her. Haleigh turned around, facing Blaze, one hand on each of Blaze's shoulders.

"Ace, listen to yourself.... talking about me being attached... you're delusional.... but its okay, you're going to be fine... its just an after effect of the oxygen deficiency in your brain... its preventing YOU from thinking clearly. I got you out of there as fast as i could.... I dont think there will be any permanent brain damage... but you must take cover and sit down so that you can get better. All this talk of cats and your sister never harming you... Morgan's cat hisses at me whenever she gets a chance and your sister DID harm you. now please, lay back down, get some rest, and stay OUT of harms way."

she sounded like a caretaker easing a patient back into bed... she looked across the room, where her PERSONAL defense system keypad was located on the wall. no matter... Haleigh had designed it to be reachable from this distance. Stepping to the other side of blaze so that Alison and the rest couldnt see what she was doing, she pulled out her gun again, aimed discreetly across the room, and fired. The silencer already atteached make a whisper of the gunfire, and the bullet hits the keypad dead center. A machine voice filled the room, whirring sounds started.

"Warning. Warning. Defense Protocols Initiated..... Locating Director Davidoff...... Identifying Friendlies...... Identifying Hostiles...... Activating LASERGRID...... Separating NOW.....

An electronic charging sound began, as the two groups were separated completely from one another by an enormous laser grid that stretched from wall to wall, floor to cieling. [think that laser room thing in Resident Evil, Except this one doesnt move.] The Lasers crisscrossed one another like tight mesh, glowing with blue hot intensity. Haleigh smiled as the mechanic voice confirmed full power intensity. It was impossible to tell WHERE it was all being generated from, because everything was hidden in the walls.

"Welcome to the next gen's next generation laser technology. If ANYONE, or ANYTHING tries to cross it from either side... they'll be diced up into little bits and stopped instantly. You can't hurt us and We cant hurt you. Magical projectiles, bullets, weapons, even diamonds... it cant do it all. Words of caution to you teleporters...I wouldnt try it if I were you. Itll kill you too. You can't hurt us and We cant hurt you. Well... thats not entirely true.... i can still hurt you.. Ive got explosives and other little treats planted everywhere. Dont make me destroy my beautiful flat."

[ Contrary to what Haleigh may have thought, her lasers were not invincible, and if she had known exactly what MorningStar's powers were related to, she wouldn't even have bothered trying her little 'light show' - because when it came to light and lasers, Delilah Trelaven would always be the master. Her cool, collected face dissolved slightly into a slight smile, something which would probably be rather worrying to the others... it certainly wasn't an occasion to smile in. ]

[ She raised one slim hand. MorningStar could've done this without using her hands of course, but personally, she found it just somewhat easier to concentrate her powers through her limbs. The slight white glow expanded, becoming pin-point sharp for a moment. Then the clear laser grid between the groups started to change noticably. Magic and powers and people may not have been able to get through the grid, but MorningStar could take control of it almost effortlessly. The bright lights of the grid started to dim them warp, bending, stretching... then the weakened lasers seemed to shoot towards the light surrounding MorningStar's outstretched hand, enveloping her in a wash of blue-white light. As soon as the laser grid was dispersed entirely the light faded, leaving Delilah stood there, alongside Morgan, Alison and Erika, with their path to Rachel no longer blocked. ]

"Lasers... I like them. Personally I find mine a little more satisfying, but that was a good attempt just the same."

<< Morgan began to grow agitated..try as she may to PASS this ultimate test that Ororo said would come...Haleigh was DELIBERATELY making this harder than it had to be. She smirked as she surveyed they laser grid.... knowing that THIS obstacle was TAILOR MADE for MorningStar to deal with...but none of THEM on the other side would know that. In the meantime....Morgan decided to show Haleigh just how FUTILE it was to "contol the space around them".>>

Spare us, Black Widow, your laser grid CANNOT affect my "stepping discs" but THEY can affect YOU! My power allows me to circumvent time AND SPACE. With the speed of thought i could simply move us ALL to Limbo where your precious trinkets would have LESS than NO POWER....but i think perhaps i'll them in a more devisive way.

<<chimes sounded off...as Haleigh now found her waist line totally encompassed by a midsized stepping disc which snapped open with a soft "pop">>

these discs are MINE to command in ANY circumstance...and in a VARIETY of ways. ONE of which...is to CLOSE IT and SEPERATE the top half of your body from its lower half. YOUR DEATH will be quite painfull and very messy for those nearby you. ONE false move, Ms. Davidoff...the SLIGHTEST attempt to use your personal defense systems any further...and not only will Guardian be able to DETECT it and defend US with her powers on this end...but I will END YOUR LIFE before you can even SPEAK. You are making this unecessarily hard....and i KNOW it is merely to spite myself and alison. You never COULD see past yourself and your foolish pride....you are endangering Cameron and Blaze the longer you resist.

NOW....GIVE US RACHEL GRAY....or DIE!

<< thunder rumbled and ROLLED...echoing around the silent apartment ....the lights from the laser grid provided the majority of the illumination now...as the apartment itself was growing dark. Spellbinder had Black Widow in a bind....not only was SHE trapped in the center of a disc...which could literally split her in two...but also....while the gride would certainly deal with any PHYSICAL breaches...it could not defend against Guardian's Time maniuplation or Telekinesis OR MorningStar's power of light..in ALL forms..INCLUDING that of "lasers".>>

:: Cameron looked at the four women stand before him as he tried to think of the best way possible to get them all out of here alive. He stood in front of the group now determined to protect the ones who stood behind himself and trusted him. Obviously now both of his sisters were against him. It only figured that Alison would be able to sway her. He guessed all the women in the King Family were as weak as those two. ::

"We will NOT give her up, unless you provide us some PROOF! Get over it, MORGAN! You're not the King Pin anymore! We DON'T Answer to you.. and we NEVER will!"

:: Watching Haleigh being encompassed by the Stepping Disc, he swallowed hard inside his mouth and began to think of something that would distract them, something that would buy them some time. He decided to go for it. Cameron looked at Delilah and they made an instant eye contact that couldn't seem to break, it was as if Cameron was mezmerizing her. Delilah's eyes briefly glew an electric green before Cameron had control of her entire body, voice, speech and powers. Delilah put a hand on Morgan's back and looked at her sincerely. ::

"Hold on, Morgan.. I have an idea, that JUST might be worth the wait.. Let down the stepping disc..."

< Erika looked at the solemn appearances of Cameron, Haleigh, Blaze and Rachel. She just felt so bad for everyone in the room. Looking at Blaze, she unknowingly finished healing the rest of her wounds, an expression of the power that Erika possessed. The words and intensity in everyone's voices made her feel extremely uncomfortable, but she took comfort in watching Cameron truly FIGHT for something he believed in. Maybe she hadn't failed like she originally thought. She just didn't know what to do at this point. Erika definitely felt torn. No matter who she stood by the other sibling would feel isolated or betrayed. It was a lose-lose situation, but for now, Erika had to make sure that Morgan and Alison did no harm to the group. As the stepping disc encompassed Haleigh and Delilah stepping in a rather odd sort of way. She had to step in and say something to try and save the whole situation. >

"Cameron, Haleigh... I would not betray your trust if I didn't think I had reason to. Things just don't add up around her. Let us take her, I promise, as long as I stay with Rachel.. she will not be harmed.. I promise..."

Haleigh watched her Lasergrid disappear, with a tight, forced smile. "Neat. Trick." She said, with almost mechanic speech patterns. It was hard to tell if she was really angry or just annoyed... or perhaps, pleased in some psychotic way. The computers sounded off, calling out the faliure of the lasergrid and the initiation of the biological defenses phase.... it also began reading off the blood types and specific chromosome makeup of Delilah, Alison, and Morgan. Haleigh looked at morgan as the disc opened. she chuckled in lighthearted way that seemed out of place... as though they were at lunch and Morgan had told a moderately humorus joke. Haleigh looked back up at them.

"Okay... Check mate, Eh Rabbit? Very nice. Alright... everyone just take your choice barbituate and a deep breath. Doctor Gray.... I'm sorry... well, no, thats not true.... I'm not sorry. But anyway... Im not foolish or noble enough to die for a woman I just met. Plus... im rather attached to my bottom half. Hehe.... play on words. Cameron... step aside, let them have what they came for.... They dont KILL random people Stud, that's what WE do... I'm sure theyll just ask her a few questions and then if they find anything.... they'll ask us to kill her. Computer....[holding her hand out to Alison to signal that it was okay] Deactivate biological warfare phase. Shut down defense cycle protocols."

Computer:Voice Command Recieved. Analyzing Speech Patterns. Analyzing Pitch Range. Voice Identified: Director Davidoff. Voice Command Accepted. Deactivating Phase II. Initiating System Standby.

Haleigh raised her hands slowly and clasped them together, resting them atop her head. She shrugged and gave a sheepish grin.

"See... I can be cooperative AND reasonable.... you just have to appeal to my interests... plus... I could blow you to bits right now... but i've no idea whether or not this will snap shut... so... ill give you this one... and live to fight another day." She winked, her smile still plastered there, now strangely congenial. "Take Rachel.... leave Cameron and Blaze unharmed. I'll need them later to come by and whup your ass."

And then the unthinkable happened... Morgan's new companion stepped in, trying to diffuse the situation. Haleigh watched the woman with burning intensity, looking her over and catching sight of the police badge clipped to her belt. Haleigh memorized the number.... she'd get information on this woman soon enough... for now... she kept still.

:: Alison eyed her brother with unrelenting suspicion. she KNEW what he could do...and with his background...knowing that he'd use his powers to manipulate others as puppets...it was no MERE coincidence that Delilah..someone very astute and observant and someone who was very much aware of the gravity of this situation would suddenly ask Morgan to LET DOWN the stepping disc!? and risk allowing them to gain the upper hand?! NO...it was clearly a case of manipulation..and a quick "view" of the most PROBABLE "time thread" allowed her to see what was coming::

NOT TODAY..PROPHET!

::Guardian knew that a telepath's greatest liability was that he needed to concentrate on his target...and so she would no longer allow him that opportunity. thrusting her hands out. she YANKS Delilah back...jarring her back into "conscious thought" and with the other hand...she sweeps it as if she were "waving goodbye"...and warps the temporal field around Prophet..spinning him around so fast..and so hard...he begins to lose his breath..and become SICK with vertigo::

SPELLBINDER...CHOP THAT BITCH IN HALF!

Last edited by a moderator:
Haleigh instantly held her hands out towards Spellbinder, like a cop trying to get someone to lower their weapon. Her brow furrowed and her eyes widened... she had reason to be concerned.... Morgan was known for taking Alison's advice.

"WHOA.... WHOA... Morgan hold it... she just popped the wrong pill. She didn't mean it... [laughs] 'Chop that bitch in half.' [whistles] She's just a little anxious is all... CAMERON... dont do ANYTHING... you of ALL people should realize the importance of the bottom half. This is a SIMPLE hostage negotiation. I'm a hostage... Rachel's a hostage. I propose a tradoff. We give you Rachel... you give us.... me. And you take this thing off me..... the not messy way. Okay? Alright. Cameron.... protect my ass please... like we arranged?"

- Kelly had finally reached the perfect point to make her move. These people were so easily manipulated and angry that Witchfire hardly needed to do anything. She decided to move in and start a move that might just kill them all if planned correctly. Turning to Spellbinder, Guardian and Erika she called out to them, while her form began to fade from the quiet and concerned blonde into the Brunette and deadly lethal witch Kelly King. She walked towards them in what seemed to be like slow motion only they seemed to be the only ones who were paying attention. She was still controlling the others into thinking she was Rachel Gray. A devilish smile curled up between her lips as she walked closer to the group, seemingly mocking their lack of awareness. -

"Nice work, Morgan.. though we both know if you had planned on killing Haleigh, you would have already done it..It seems that conscience of a daughter of mine has gotten to you.. Such a shame.. you really DO have a lot of potential..."

- Turning to Alison. -

"Much like my other daughter, Alison.. Marble is it now? You had great potential, but you just weren't quick enough of a study.. you only know NOW what I COULD have taught you in a matter of two years, but your SLOW Wit and NEVER ENDING whining prevented me from that, and oh, by all means, go ahead.. kill Cameron.. It will make one LESS bounty for me to collect.. in fact.. Kill them all..."

- Kelly unleashed a brutal laugh. She was mocking each and everyone of them for being so stupid. She had entered the Six, cast a spell on their leader and turned each one of them against each other. It was really amazing. She pointed around the room, continuing to gloat. -

"This really IS some of my best work... and Morgan, you should KNOW I put your group Valiant through a lot... boy Black and I talked about killing your sister for DAYS. It was such a great move, we planned it together.. we laughed about it.. we made FUN of you..."

- The rest of the group seemed unaware and if anyone of the three risked attacking Rachel it would send Blaze, Haleigh and Cameron into a rage that would cause an ALL out Battle between them all. It was now their move. -

:: Cameron felt his control over Delilah waivering before he soon found himself spinning so fast that he started getting sick on the point of vomitting. Was Alison really convinced that Rachel was so evil? It didn't make any sense to Cameron. He went through her mind and he had seen everything. That isn't something that you can just create out of thin air without it having to be there first. Using whatever power he had left, he projected his voice in Mental Thought to everyone in the group and even though those with PSI Screens were protected, they would be able to hear it ::

"Haleigh.. think about.. If Morgan was going to Kill You.. she would have done it already.. haven't you figured that out? As many times as she has come close to ALMOST killing us? She CAN'T do it.. She's bluffing... and if you want Rachel, why not just TELEPORT her away in a stepping disc? Why go for this big confrontation! That is a little livacious even for YOU Morgan! Nobody is making sense!"

:: Prophet hoped that Erika would somehow halt the spinning and let him rest. He wasn't sure how much longer he would be able to take the spinning. It was really getting to him. ::

< Watching as Alison thoroughly lost control and decided not only to attack her own brother but to give Morgan somewhat of a permission to kill Haleigh, Erika HAD to step in at some point to somewhat aleaviate the the situation. She closed her eyes and began to chant a spell to release Cameron from his temporal prison, a move she KNEW would not sit well with Alison, but Alison attacking her brother didn't sit well with ERIKA. >

"Goddess of the Shining Light, release Cameron from his Temporal Plight! So MOTE IT BE!"

< For a brief moment, Erika was enveloped in a bright light before Cameron slowly stopped spinning and was flung to the ground to somewhat rest for however long he could from the effects of Guardian's power. She flashed a looked at Alison and Morgan. >

"As I said before.. I will NOT tolerate the harming of anyone, not EVEN whom we came for.. unlike the rest of you, I have no other affiliation OTHER than my family, who I intend to protect.. no matter HOW much they protest.. Now think about this Morgan.. why are you attacking Haleigh when you want Rachel?"

< But before anything else could be done, Rachel began to walk towards the group, before morphing into none other than Kelly King. She walked towards Erika, Alison and Morgan and began to taunt them. Erika was completely and udderly shocked. The mother of whom she had banished so many years ago was back and really was the one who was attacking The Six from the Inside. Erika threw all thoughts out of her head and tried to calm down what Kelly had started to stir. >

"Morgan.. Alison, don't listen to her.. you KNOW she is just trying to get you to explode! Don't let her get to you more than she already has!"

<< Morgan's head turned slightly.... her violent eyes widen with shock and disbelief as Rachel reviews herself to be WITCHFIRE....one of the members of the Axis of Evil!....the disc is still encompassing Haleigh.....even as Morgan's staggers back ......>>

WITCHFIRE!

<<thunder BLASTED....rocking the tower as her eyes glowed solid white....Witchfire's words STUNG the sorceress...evoking pangs of extreme bitterness in her heart>>

you..DARE mock me....and take joy in the pain you caused me! I'VE GOT THE POWER...POWER YOU COULDNT EVEN BEGIN TO COMPREHEND! THE POWER....to DESTROY YOU ALL!

<< chimes sound....as Morgan releases her hold on Haleigh....flinging her hands forward with force...and releasing a POUNDING , BALLISTIC BLAST of eldritch magick that expanded and hammered across the room toward Witchfire....ravaging EVERYTHING in its path!....the tower was now SHAKING violently.....as Morgan's hair flowed upward....and her teeth were now slightly fanged...her countenance more demonic>>

YOU MADE A BIG MISTAKE COMING BACK....NOW I WILL SEE YOU DEAD!

<<this attack....by far one of the most devastating yet from the sorceress...was directed SOLELY at "Witchfire". it didnt matter WHO got hurt...as long as Morgan ANNIHILATED Witchfire....whom she had engaged in a heated "fire fight" during Valiant's battle with the Axis BEFORE she nearly laid down her life trying to protect Blaze from Black. she never forgot...NEVER forgave.....and now...the Six were witnessing the emergence of something...truly unholy and terrifying...as Spellbinder prepared to move heaven and earth within this building to DESTROY the woman who had revealed herself to Morgan>>

::Guardian spun around and glared at Erika::

HOW DARE YOU INTERFERE!! :: she leaned in close...snarling as her upper lip seemed to curve like the "elvis effect"::

YOU..........

::before she could berate Erika...she, along with Morgan and Erika saw the TRUE face of "Rachel"...it was her MOTHER..Kelly King::

in the name of HECATE!!

::Alison stood...stepping forward almost absent mindedly to meet Kelly head on. That WAS Alison's nature....what allowed her to protect Erika and even CAMERON while she was still at "home" from their Mother when she would PLUMMET to new lows of sadism::

OLD WOMAN...YOU COULDNT CONTROL ME BEFORE...and you WONT SUCCEED NOW!

::the anger that fueled her to LEAVE the King family all those years ago...was cracking through the icy exterior that she had patented.::

::Alison, as a Seer and a chaos witch had CHANGED since her mother last saw her Her powers were now multifaceted and extremely OFFENSIVE in nature. She possesed an INDOMITABLE will....something that her mother could NEVER harness.....and what her mother just now mistook for "slowness and unwillingness" was in fact Alison's NATURAL inclination to want MORE than what her mother was willing to give her in the way of magick...she left her mother behind....left her siblings....her will...her drive...the insatiable desire for unlimited exploration ....it took precedence at that point in her life. Now it seemed with the arrival of Cameron, Erika and now Kelly... it was all coming full circle. She didnt want to even FATHOM the idea...that she might have to PROTECT her siblings again ...from their mother. That she would have to lay aside her HATRED of men...of CAMERON and her ongoing contempt for Erika....and now call upon her powers to HELP them.::

:: she was reeling...ready to attack...but stunned in disbelief....she was jarred by a powerful vision of immediate future. Storms, wild magick unleashed, the hoards of limbo raining down on screaming humans....MORGAN was about to FAIL Ororo's prophecy.....and catalyze a series of events that would destroy Illustra and all within...and DAMN the city.....she HAD to act on behalf of EVERYONE in the room::

MORGAN DONT!!

:: Guardian thrust her hands up and out....ALL that was in the room..human, not human..objects..EVERYTHING down the molecular level..was FROZEN temporally....the warped sound of motion coming to a hault was heard..as a haunting bell tolled in the air and echoed...now EVERYONE and everything save Morgan and Erika were frozen in time in the room. Morgan's deadly release of magick was haulted just as it was about to reach KELLY, who was frozen in mid stance. ::

:: Guardian slowly exhaled and spoke softly::

Good witches.....don't freeze....i knew that...but SHE apparently forgot!

:: pointing at her mother::

MORGAN...PLEASE CONTROL YOURSELF...youll DESTROY ALL OF US if you let her get to you now!! we have to GET OUT OF HERE...away from Illustra..away from NYC and completely clear oursives of Kelly's corrosive influence! those three...:: motioning at Cameron , Haleigh and Blaze:: are completely under control...

"Haleigh, don't provoke Morgan! You said it yourself she was..."

** Blaze stopped mid sentence when Haleigh activated her lazer beams. She turned at the waist to only have part of her shirt sliced in half. She observed the material fall to the ground with an arched brow. She froze not bothering to move, instead her eyes moved to Cameron who was spinning out of control. "Cameron." She called out to him softly when her eyes moved to Morningstar! Blaze's sage eyes went wide, she had not seen this woman since Valiant. Blaze had personally worked with her and she respected her once Spellbinder left the team. **

"Wow."

** Foxfire couldn't believe her former comrade was here, Blaze knew her powers well. But she didn't provoke her or even attack. Instead she stood where she was. She sighed heavily when the beams vanished just as Morgan threatened Haleigh. "Haleigh." Blaze's eyes were so easy to read, held within them contained friendship and loyalty. Everything was spinning out of control, Blaze had difficulty keeping up with everything. She noticed Cameron stop spinning. Massing the migraine that was arriving, Blaze shut her eyes tightly. Opening her eyes, she spotted all of the exits blocked, gritting her teeth. She glanced over to Morgan, Alison, Morningstar, and then finally onto Erika. Running towards Haleigh just as time began to freeze altogether. Blaze was in mid run as Alison stopped time, a look of concentration was found upon her face. **

Cameron.... you should NEVER underestimate the power of cold, gripping HATE.... if she despises me as much as I suspect... she's perfectly capable of slicing me in half.

Haleigh pointed at Erika as the woman spoke, glad to have someone opposing Alison other than herself. This was a rather tender situation... and Haleigh seemed for once not quite so calm and collected.

"Ha! She's got a point, Rabbit...."

Haleigh breathed a sigh of relief as Morgan released her... she seemed to be freaking out and yelling at Rachel.... who hadnt done a thing since it all started. Haleigh, assuming Rachel would get struck down soon, preferred not too be anywhere near the woman when the time came, and she dove towards the wall, pressing her back against it as the building began to shake. Blaze called her name and began towards her, And Haleigh turned to look at Blaze as a large painting on the wall above her rattled off its nail as a result of the shaking tower... The heavy painting, a beautifully framed black and white recreation of Arnold Bocklin's "Isle of the Dead", fell right down on top of Haleigh's head, the glass shattering and showering her as she fell forward to the floor, knocked clean out. Alison's freeze came a moment later, after Haleigh'd hit the carpeted floor.

- Kelly began to shake and waiver from the freeze before she was no longer frozen and staring at Morgan dead on as if she had a death wish before blinking right behind the woman and whispering in her ear with a soft and almost core shaking tone. -

"Do it Morgan...destroy them all....I know you feel that fire burning inside of you. Don't fight it.. it's there for a reason. I can sense your power, it's too much for your body! Let it out woman..destroy ANYONE who defies you!"

- Kelly looked over at her daughter who seemed completely stunned by what was going on as all of a sudden, she shimmered out of her spot and reappeared exactly where the blast of dark magick was going and where Kelly had stood before. In an instant, chains of dark magick surrounded her hands as she was seemingly chained to the floor. Kelly whispered one more time to Morgan. -

"Start with her..."

[ Delilah had been watching the proceeding events with a growing sense of unease. The plan had been to do this without unnecessary bloodshed, but the death threads didn’t exactly reassure her in that regard. She drew in a breath, intending to say something – and then what she did say was so out of character for her that it sent her mind reeling. A quick moment of shock at what happened gave way as she looked at Guardian, temporarily bewildered. Realisation came quickly though; the memory of ‘sinking’ into Cameron’s eyes, the knowledge of what his powers were. She let out a slightly annoyed sigh at the underhand tactics, and steadied herself again, watching the situation steadily worsen. ]

“Thanks, Alison.”

[ Her brown furrowed as something ‘odd’ seemed to be going on with Rachel. Delilah couldn’t see Kelly King, of course, but she could see peoples’ responses to her. It wasn’t difficult to put two and two together… and come up with Morgan’s potential for destruction. But before she could think or do anything… she just stopped. Held captive within Alison’s freeze just like all the rest. ]

:: Finally returning after a very stressful couple of weeks in up state New York with her family, Alexis' taxi pulled in in front of Illustra Inc. and came to a halt. Taking a deep breath in, she only hoped that nothing stressful was going on with The Six otherwise she might have a freakin' breakdown...but knowing her luck--which is none--Alexis would be walking into a building full of chaos. Opening her eyes after a moment, she glanced toward the waiting taxi cab driver and nodded to him. ::

"Thank you."

:: Pulling out her wallet from her already open purse, she grabbed a few twenties and handed it to the driver before proceeding to open the door of the vehicle and step out. Seeing Robert, the doorman, she nodded to him as the trunk of the cab popped open. Placing her purse on her shoulder, Alexis stepped up onto the curb and began to walk toward the doors of Illustra. Making her way toward Robert, she nodded to him. ::

"Just bring my bags upstairs. Thank you."

:: Alexis was exhausted, way too tired to be her normal bitchy self. Placing her hand on the stainless steel door handle, a loud crash of thunder made Alexis stop in her tracks. The winds began to pick up...the thunder continued to rumble in a most eerie manor. Turning her head, she lifted her eyes up wards toward the sky, seeing the clouds moving at a most unusual speed. This was only too familiar to Alexis---something must be wrong. Her sapphire eyes widened with concern as the weather conditions continued to worsen...the last time she saw New York City like this was those many months ago with Morgan and the Citadel. Shit... was all Alexis could think at the moment as she pulled the door open forcefully and proceeded to jog to the express elevator. Pressing the "up" button numerous times, she could tell something wasn't right...perhaps it was her lack of sleep; maybe she was delirious. Whatever it was, something about this moment didn't sit right with her. ::

"Come on..."

:: An anxious Alexis stated as the elevator doors finally opened. Stepping in, she quickly pushed the button with 104 written on it. Leaning back, Alexis tucked her hands into her track jacket as she watched the numbers continue to go up indicating she was passing floors of the building. Crossing one foot over the other, her pure white Nike's completed her casual look--not really feeling the need to dress up after a flight and a drive. Finally after a few moments, she reached her floor and stepped out of the elevator. Stopping, she glanced down each hall...nothing. Everything was quiet. ::

"Paranoia isn't very becoming of you, Alexis..."

:: With a sigh, she stepped forward once again until suddenly a huge crashing sound followed by yelling stopped her in her tracks. Looking up wards, she recognized that voice oh too well. It was Morgan. Quickly turning around to head back into the elevator, she saw the doors shut. ::

"Damnit!"

:: Slamming her fist into the elevator door, Alexis quickly glanced down the hallway toward the Exit sign. Quickly running toward it, she sprinted threw the door and up the flight of stairs to the next floor. Pushing open the door, she didn't even need to stop to hear where the disturbance was coming from. Running toward the commotion filled apartment, Alexis slammed her fists into the door a few times "knocking". ::

"Hello?!! It's Alexis! What the hell is going on in there?!"

:: Alexis yelled. Placing her hand on the door handle, it seemed to be locked....jiggling it a few times, she continued to yell above the chaos. Noticing other voices in there...what sounded like Blaze, Cameron, Haleigh and a few unfamiliar ones, Alexis continued to try and get in. ::

"Someone let me in! What is going on?!"

:: Cameron looked at everything that was going on as he eyed his sister. She was on his side. She actually protected him against Alison, something he really wasn't sure that she would do or not. He began to look at Rachel who seemed extremely shaken and just as Morgan unleashed a powerful wave of Dark Magick, Cameron froze just like everyone else in the room, but like the first time he had met Alison and Morgan in the Board Room of Illustra, his mind's eye was getting a view of what was going on, however, his perception of the event was distorted as he still saw a scared and defenseless Rachel trying to run from the Dark Wave. ::

"This just doesn't seem right....Rachel would be dead by now.. Something is going on..."

:: Prophet wanted desperately to help Rachel out of this situation, but he could do nothing. It didn't make sense that Alison would freeze them all. She would want them fully conscious to feel the pain of her wrath. Someone else had to. Maybe it was Erika. For now, Cameron could only stay frozen in time, hoping things would work out. ::
