The Masters of Evil

Delilah stormed back over to the table, fuming, and slapped Nicolas across his smug face.

"What am I thinking now, asshole?"

After a pause, she gritted her teeth.

"After what I did? What did I do? Except rescue YOUR asses when I should have let you all die there the way you treated me. You want to talk about Bishop? You all think JUST LIKE HIM. What did I do? Except try to keep you from abusing your powers so much that that little timeline we just came from becomes REALITY. And guess what? IT DID. So stop acting like YOU'RE Mr. Perfect because YOU AREN'T."

At that moment, everything went grey and they were interrupted by Darkchilde's arrival.

hold it right there

what you NEED to do, mutant, is to stay seated.

<< thunder CRASHES as the scene STOPS...everything goes "gray" and cold as Darkchilde, as she is NOW SLAMS her soul sword down on the table, to grasp EVERYONE'S attention. the soul sword's silver mystic flames FLARE OUT out before settling around the blade ones more. >>

did you REALLY think for a MOMENT, that you could hide with this....did you think you could FOOL ME? THE MISTRESS OF THIS REALM!?

<< gesturing at Nicolas and Haleigh.>>

With this PATHETIC ruse?

you're no more a couple than Betrayal and Kuramo (a highly androgynous MALE MoE who attempted to MARRY DC's sister at one point) were. and judging by her << gesturing to Delilah>> remarks, you're OBVIOUSLY doing a SHITTY job of showing your loyalty to my cross time alternate. What a waste...what a poor choice SHE made, but then again, from what i understand, Morgan WAS always rather CONFLICTED in a way that neither I NOR Magik ever was. ah the folies of being HUMAN.

<< HALEIGEH in particular would remember how COLD how CRUEL DC could be, especially in the aftermath of the MoE being WIPED OUT by the original Dire Wraiths. She and Persephone were the sole survivors and Persephone only survived because of Ororo's foresight to cast her in stone. and now, DC was alone, having taken her mantle as mistress of Limbo completely.>>

You're NOT in XS...you're in LIMBO and you've experience another temporal phantom, but the jig is up and now....you'd BETTER explain why you're here before i BARBEQUE every last ONE OF YOU!

How DARE you come here...how DARE you looking to MY PAST and view MY LIFE as if it were some sort of ENTERTAINMENT and then to TRY to MIMIC US?

Delilah crossed her arms, satisfied that Darkchilde saw things the way she did - the way Morgan would. She knew DC was evil, but it actually felt like being back with Morgan, back in the days of Valiant. She knew she should be afraid, but she wasn't. Her face was formed into a smirk as she watched the others' faces while Darkchilde spoke.

She faced Darkchilde, and uncrossed her arms, putting her hands together in front of her instead.

"You're absolutely right, we should not have tried to fool you. Spellbinder sent us. Two of our number fell through one of Morgan's stepping discs, and we have been jumping through timelines trying to find them. Our observance of you and your team was unintentional, I assure you. We seem to need to accomplish a task in each timeline before we can move on to the next. We were hoping to find a way to be of some use to you in exchange for your assistance finding out what that task is."

She felt that being honest and direct was the best course of action. After all, how different could Darkchilde and Morgan be?

As Delilah walked back, he knew what she wanted to do, he was smugbecause she would never get the chance. She ALMOST slapped him...but a millimeter before his actual face her hand impacted a field dense and hard as steel; the impact would shoot up her arm.

She went into her speech, essentially breaking her arm patting herself on the back about how Bishop ended rather than understanding that that was the LEAST she should have done, considering.

He was about to retort when Darkchilde made her appearance. She disrupted the TEMPORAL PHANTOM that they were in, revealing that they were actually in Limbo. She had some choice words for Nicolas and considering where they were, he decided that discretion was indeed the better part of valor. Delilah jumped at the chance to explain everything as if she had planned to walk in to do so from the beginning. He spoke evenly and respectully to the sorceress.

We only intended to try to wait for what we hoped wiold be either the right time to speak with you or when we would know how to help you, as we helped the Six in the last timeline. The ruse was ACTUALLY meant for the redhead that noticed me in the temporal phantom. We thought that getting her attention off me would prevent unwanted...conflict. The hope was that you would help us find our teammates so we could retrieve them before they are harmed.

Haleigh almost SPILLED the wine she was pouring as Nic's hand grazed the inside of her thigh. She calmly, gently set the bottle down and fought the urge to overreact.... no one else seemed to have noticed it... after all.... it WAS under the table.... and his hand was gone almost as quickly as it had happened.... maybe it was unintentional... maybe it was purely habit.... still he didn't apologize, as might be expected... Haleigh keep her attention on Mike as he posed the question of the day: 'what do we do NOW?'.... Haleigh decided to assume that Nic just hadn't REALIZED his purely accidental grope.... just because he didn't mentally mention it and she wanted to avoid causing a scene... so instead, she didn't [visibly] acknowledge that it had happened.

But a scene was caused anyway.... as Delilah blew things WAY out of proportion and in turn, told each of them off and then stormed away to the bar. Silence momentarily fell over the table.

"Wow.... I'm surprised she can walk all the way to the bar with the stick she's got shoved so far up her ass."

She deadpanned. Their reprieve wasn't long, however... because Delilah came BACK, and THIS TIME.... Haleigh was READY to give as good as she got.

"Listen to ME you self-righteous BITCH. Just because I'm not an uptight PRUDE who got lost on the way to the CONVENT doesn't mean you can talk to me like I'm some kind of two dollar HOOKER. DONT speak to us as if you've got ANY idea what LOYALTY is, not after YOU hung the rest of us OUT TO DRY! Oh YEAH... a LOAD of integrity YOU HAVE. How DARE you! I stood UP for you! When they wanted to throw you to the lions! I stood BY YOU when they wanted to FILET YOU ALIVE..... I risked my OWN STANDING with them and you are actually standing there, lecturing ME about not betraying Morgan's TRUST. P-LEASE.... I held his HAND... I sat close to him, we made it LOOK like we were kissing... and we were doing it to shift the focus OFF our group... we haven't done ANYTHING WRONG, so why don't you just GIVE IT A REST!"

She tried to keep her voice down but it was all for naught... DC appeared, slamming her sword down on the table and commanding instant attention. Haleigh didn't jump, didn't flinch, just sat back and folded her arms across her chest.

"GREAT..... now look what you've done. If we all get zapped into oblivion I am NEVVVVVVVER going to let you live this down. No matter WHERE you go I'll be there.... Deliiiiiiilah... oh Deliiiiilah! Thanks ever so much for OVERREACTING to NOTHING and get us all blasted into a million tiny particles! [As DC picked apart their cover] SEE.... even SHE didn't believe we were for real. How can our little NON kiss be THAT BAD if we can't even get the person we're TRYING TO DECIEVE to believe it??"

DC seemed outraged.... Haleigh didn't seem as bothered as she maybe should have been. But then.... If DC was going to kill them... she would have done it already. Nicolas and Delilah both tried to explain. Haleigh seemed off on a tangent.

"That's interesting... if we were watching a temporal phantom.... how were we able to interact? I mean yes... we saw you.... but you guys don't usually SEE US. If we knew we were in a temporal phantom, we wouldn't have cared about sticking out like a supermodel in a mechanic's shop. I mean.... we tried to blend in because we thought we were STUCK here.... and we didn't want to get killed out right."

Haleigh knew DC wouldn't give a DAMN about their predicament, so she didn't try, as Delilah had, to 'appeal' to DC as if she were anything like Morgan. Nic too tried to make their polite request but Haleigh just talked to DC straight, as if they were conversating over tea.

Limbo

<< raising an armoured hand to interrupt Nicolas. a chime sounds off.>>

SILENCE you telepathic piece of TRASH! I saw you use your powers on a non psi screened mind...the mind of your own team mate. you're a liar AND a manipulator and i dont want to hear ANYTHING MORE from your mouth!

<< DC had a DEEP seated hatred and mistrust of psychics following the death of her sister and how it was caused. that was no secret in MoE...and Brenthon , the only psychic, and the most powerfull one on EITHER coven, nearly LOST his life to HER when he did what he did to Persephone months after Betrayal's death. Nicolas did WELL to mind his tongue. DC was BEYOND anything Morgan was capable of in terms of being homicidal and the fact that she took her role as QUEEN of Limbo VERY much to heart meant that she would regard THEM as little more than peasants.>>

<< As Haleigh spoke, the INSOLENCE of this woman made DC's sapphire eyes flicker with RAGE. she BUSTS THROUGH the table, sending everyone else to the floor as she whips the soul sword around and now holds it right to Haleigh's throat, the tip of the blade touches it just enough to BURN to the feeling. DC's dexterity with the sword was extremely honed to say the least.>>

SHUT UP you little SHIT! If I lose my TEMPER...YOU LOSE YOUR HEAD! UNDERSTAND?

<< thunder crashes as the full expanse of Limbo manifests...far more elemental and violent ALL AROUND than even in Morgan's ream. the bitterness of Darkchilde's hearet resonates here.>>

I didn't kill you the LAST time because of PERSPEHONE only. She's SUPPOSED to be with you...but where ever she is...she's NOT here now and so there's no one that can stop me THIS time is there?

Now you mind your tongue...before i PULL IT OUT!

<< and she looks at Nicolas.>>

and if YOU move one muscle...It'll be the LAST thing you do.

<< DC possessed her own powers as well as the powers of ALISON, INCLUDING precognition. that's why there was no ALison in this timeline. DC was the most powerfull manifestation of the Dark Trinity. Hecate had once said it, as had Ororo. She was the closest thing to Hecate HERSELF in terms of power, experience and the willigness to use it.>>

I don't care why you're here...I shouldve KNOWN that you'd be stupid and sloppy and that Persephone would pay the price for it. But sending her back to y our time was the only chance she had at a decent life...now that MoE AND GoL are no more. there was nothing for her left here.

Whatever you've done...you'd better FIX IT.

<< looking at Nicolas..>>

and MAYBE you should think about LOSING some of the DEAD WEIGHT. He's NO Morpheus...he's not even REMOTELY close to him...and its CLEAR to see even in THIS timeline that the ones you seek would rather REMAIN lost than be in his presence ANYTIME soon.

<< she fixes her blade on Nicolas.>>

If you cause my cross time alternate a moment's heartache...if you do anything to Persephone once you find her....ANYTHING that Morgan's mother, Ororo...or anyone ELSE could do to you will mean NOTHING because I will bring you HERE to dispose of you MYSELF. OTHER women may be impressed by you, but to ME you're nothing but common TRASH.

<< DC noticeably ignored Delilah AND Mike, which was probably a GOOD thing. But the sorceress was CLEARLY not in a mood to DIALOGUE or to HELP and the worse was yet to come.>>

You're not getting any help from me. The fact that you are here, means that whatever happened was YOUR FAULT and just like the LAST TIME, you're going to have to fix it...ON YOUR OWN. Maybe THIS time you'll REMEMBER that your actions have a far reaching impact and that OTHERS will not be as charitable as you think they SHOULD BE, but for prying into my life...my past as you did? I'm going to make SURE you regret it.

<< and with that, DC thrusts her hand out, TELEPORTING them all into a specific time thread. where they would not only be SEEN by the MoE...but they'd be the TARGETS of the MoE trapped in the streets of NYC at NIGHT under a haunting moon.>>

Nicolas was interrupted by DC. Shit, he should have realized that she would be unhappy about his very presence, being a telepath. After the typical warning, Haleigh said her piece, which gave the EXPECTED results. DC smashed the table and Nicolas teleported to a standing position and FROZE.

DC had the soul sword RIGHT at Haleigh's throat. Nicolas stood still, looking intently at DC, analyzing his options, which were down to damn near NONE. She said her piece and then threatened him again before sending them off...to God knows where. But he had a distinct feeling that it was not a good place. He stood slowly, preparing for a hell of a fight...

OH FINALLY.... some one to put me out of my MISERY. By all MEANS..... don't stop on MY account. If you want to do it then DO IT... an eternity of wandering around in a BLACK HOLE or where ever with no head has GOT TO BE BETTER than jumping into random alternate time threads, having to listen to Delilah's hypocritical ass all the time. She thought..... and ALMOST said.... but she knew better.... her teammates did still need her after all... her sister was still lost somewhere needing help.... So Haleigh just held up her hand in a 'stop' gesture to Nicolas and the rest, staring back steadily at DC as the soul sword burned into her throat. She made eye contact..... she didn't say a word.... but she wasn't going to cower either.

DC went on raving like a lunatic about how this was all their fault and they needed to fix it.... she wouldn't even let them get a word in edgewise and she declared, as Haleigh had assumed, that she didn't CARE about their problems.... and that she wasn't going to help.... and then she dumped them out in the open somewhere.

Haleigh sat up, shooting Delilah a 'happy NOW?' look.

"[in a higher pitched, snottily mocking voice]what's the worst that could happen?"

Persephone
Persephone
LMAO @ Haleigh mocking Delilah
She resisted the urge to say "Fuck you." Because she really wasn't THAT angry at Haleigh, but she didn't deserve Haleigh's jokes at her expense earlier. She was tired of them all treating her like a second-class citizen, just like they always had, the butt of everyone's jokes because she rarely said anything about it. Not this time.

Delilah began ripping off a strip from the bottom of her dress - not that easy to do one-handed. "By all means, keep mocking me. Go ahead, blame for everything bad that happens. What ELSE is new. I forgot that it's okay for everyone to DUMP on me but I'm not supposed to stick up for myself."

She fashioned a primitive sling for her arm and started walking down the seemingly deserted street. She had no doubt that all of this was part of what was SUPPOSED to happen. That only by going forward would they figure out why they were here. The REST of them could sulk about how hiding in the "club" would have got them anywhere.

cast out

<< Delilah would discover that her arm was fine. DC had healed it in the flurry of her banishing them into another area, whethter was in limbo or not was anyone's guess.>>

<< DC had taken GREAT offense to the telepathic manipulation visited upon Delilah by Nicolas, and his causing her injury. JUST like Morgan, DC was protective of women when it came to men and just like HECATE, she held grudges.>>

<< HALEIGH of all people shouldve remembered and understood that DC was pretty much CLOSE TO BEING a lunatic..losing your family, all that you loved and cared for can do that to you. HAleigh had seen the temporal phantom of the final, tragic battle between the inner circle of the MoE and the original Dire Wraiths of legend, how DC had lost her mind from shock and grief as everyone fell around her and transformed into a being of PURE magick before igniting a most UNHOLY SPELL that destroyed the wraiths and then the GoL and then decimated most of the human population in her timeline's earth. Darkchilde wouldnt RETURN to anything REMOTELY human until AFTER Haleigh, Alison and Blaze released Persephone from her stone state and PERSEPHONE appealed to DC right before she destroyed the Six the LAST time they crossed paths with her.>>

<< now, with no possible assistance coming from Darkchilde, the team was at square one. Nicolas and Haleigh's "ruse" caused more than a stir...it sewed the seeds for problems that would come to pass for BOTH of them LATER. Alison's prophecy over Nicolas was now fullfilled. Delilah was turned against him and once she went to Morgan about this....Karen would soon follow. Had he learned NOTHING? But that was something for later. At the moment they had more pressing problems at hand.>>

<< they were back in NYC, it was night time and the air was filled with a mist. the moon hung low. DC was now ACTIVELY interferring with Nicolas' telepathy, causing him PAINFULL feedback whenever he tried to read thoughts or communicate with other's minds. They were STILL in the realm of Limbo, but trapped in another temporal phantom with a TWIST. Darkchilde (and her alternates) could do ANYTHING in Limbo, including adding subtle changes or outright rewriting moments in history/time as they occurred in Limbo. the greatest source of distress for Darkchilde was that even SHE could not bring back the dead. It was something Ororo and her mentor Ikaris had always taught her not even to CONSIDER. But she COULD do ANYTHING ELSE she wanted in Limbo without risk.>>

<< what would come next was anyone's guess.>>

Haleigh massaged her temples, frustrated.... her fingertips lightly grazed her neck... there was a small 'V' shape burned there where the tip of the soul sword had touched... it still stung.... but what burned worst of ALL.... was Haleigh's anger. It wasn't Delilah.... or even Darkchilde she was angry with.... but herself, and Haleigh had the sinking feeling that it had fallen to HER to persuade DC and she'd FAILED to do that.

In her defense.... she'd been so distracted by arguing with Delilah and trying to convince Delilah [and suddenly even moreso HERSELF] that she and Nicolas had commited no WRONG.... that she'd let herself become completely belligerent and CARELESS at the most INOPPORTUNE time. Things had careened wildly out of control.... borderline inappropriate interaction with Nicolas.... a loud and unavoidably noticable near SHOUTING MATCH with Delilah.... and now they'd rubbed the ONE PERSON who could have easily helped them the wrong way.

It was a stark contrast between the calm, stable, emotionally detached Haleigh in her future alternate's body.... and yet.... internally, she made a step in the right direction, if too late.... she recognized a poor emotional reaction [without Karen's help this time ;) ].... and she took a deep breath, finding a calm once again as she got to her feet and glanced at Nicolas and Mike.

"You two alright??"

She asked, before looking at Delilah, who was walking away.

"Delilah.... hey, DELILAH! [catching up with her] Come on.... I don't understand why you got SO UPSET.... we were only kidding.... playful ribbing is all... I didn't expect you to take it so personally... I would have told the boys to knock it off. We didn't mean to hurt your feelings. [pause] Look.... you said some things... I said some things...alright?"

It was as close to an apology as Delilah was likely to get.

"Obviously you haven't been talking to Karen lately... I'M the one to blame for anything bad that happens around here... hell... even DARKCHILDE agrees... I guess she takes a little more after her mother than Morgan does."

She said with a light shrug, trying to patch things up with humor.

"Well I was trying to give you a break from the title."

Delilah smiled wanly, stopping and shuffling her feet, putting a hand to the bridge of her nose.

"I'm sorry, Haleigh - I'm not mad at you. [She lowered her voice.] I just...I just don't want to be touched right now, okay? Sitting there I felt like I was in a cage and two inches tall. I don't know what's wrong with me..."

She looked askance at Haleigh. They didn't usually have Hallmark moments like this. Turning so she looked her full in the face, she thought how wrong Karen was. Haleigh was a good person, and a good leader.

"Are YOU okay?" Delilah nodded towards the scar on her neck.

She didn't mention anything about Nicolas - there would be another time and place for that. But the situation was troubling, to say the least. ESPECIALLY considering the timeline they'd just come from.

"[scoffing lightly]Well, I appreciate that, and you're doing a bang up job... but maybe you ought to give it a rest, yeah? Next time just send flowers or something."

Haleigh said, in response to Delilah's joke about trying to relieve Haleigh from the burden of being blamed. Delilah tried to explain what she reacted the way she did, lamenting that she didn't know what was wrong with her....

"Eh, don't worry about it... I'm sure they've got a pill to take for it SOMEWHERE. [crooked smile, but then dropping her voice as well] Honestly... I'm the opposite.... I LOVE to be touched -- and NOT necessarily just in the sexual sense of the word. I think I spent so much time keeping people at arm's length that I crave closeness... touching..... doesn't feel like a violation of my personal space.... just an expression of attachment. Physical closeness is only a part of it.... [somewhat begrudgingly]emotional closeness... I value the strong bonds we've developed. [suddenly pointing at Delilah, still keeping her voice down but now her low tone had a sense of urgency] and I SWEAR, if you tell ANYBODY I SAID THAT.... I'LL CALL YOU A LIAR! [glancing back at the boys, changing topics] Anyway.... maybe you could.... say something to Mike? You were a little harsh on him back there.... and you know I'd NEVER get away with saying something like that to ALYCIA.... shouldn't we afford him the same respect we give HER? I mean HELL..... he didn't even complain about getting stuck out there on that island with us."

Haleigh gave her a half smile, trying not to give Delilah TOO BAD a guilt trip... but what she said was true... Alycia got rockstar treatment and Mike's situation was hardly any different. Haleigh sometimes wondered if there wasn't rampant [if unintentional] sexism going around. Delilah broke into Haleigh's thoughts, asking if she was okay.

"What, this? [waving it off] pfft... I've had worse. [a little cocky] I was just waiting for her to make my day, really.... [smiling gently, then sighing] Alas.... she just huffed and puffed and blew us way the fuck out here.... where ever HERE is. [pausing] We're still in Limbo, I can tell you that much.... another temporal phantom, I'm guessing.... although.... that's no less cause for alarm... if we were able to INTERACT with the LAST one.... we're likely subject to the same conditions NOW... especially since DC mentioned making us PAY for a mistake that wasn't even ours. Maybe we should get out of the open."

Delilah made a little criss-cross motion over her heart.

"I'll take it to the grave," she said and laughed. And then more seriously, "But you don't have to push us away so much all the time, Hales."

Haleigh suggested Delilah patch things up with Mike. Grudgingly at first, she nodded.

"When we don't have too much of an audience I'll apologize for the things I said. BUT he was wrong too to say those things about me."

Haleigh let her knew they were still in Limbo, and suggested they take cover.

"Agreed - but if this is just a temporal phantom, can we really be hurt by it? I mean, we need to figure out why we've been sent here. Maybe something DC has planned for us is part of that..."

Or maybe they'd never find out because Darkchilde refused to help them. And they never had gotten to talk to this timeline's Persephone. At this point, all she wanted to do was go home. She was tired of this uncertainty, not knowing where they were supposed to be going or even where Alison and Ava were. She was tired.

city of night

<< it was nighttime in the city, the mist was thick and made for regular long range vision rather difficult. Delilah , due to her powers, had perfect vision. Haleigh of course had her enhanced vision due to her hybrid nature and Nicolas could compensate with his telekinetic "feel", but Mike was probably the least adapted but his suit will help him where it can.>>

<< thunder clouds gather in the skies above and the city looks even more deserted than before.>>

<< Darkchilde has taken the liberty to scramble Nicolas' telepathy, making it PAINFULL for him to use it. But that is the smallest indication of what she plans to do to them.>>

<< the remaining group of the six did not fare well in XS because they arrogantly thought they could MATCH the MoE's dedication to "EVIL" ...to blend in. whatever they thought they were, they were NOVICES compared to the beings in this timeline when it came to the ART of "evil" and decadence. the effect resulted in tension growing between Delilah and Nicolas. At her core, Delilah's view of Nicolas dimming. She never would have picked him for Morgan but she did not interfere when Morgan chose him herself. This wasnt like Bishop, Nicolas didnt pose any threat to his team. He wouldnt do what Bishop did, but he did something ELSE...something Delilah found tactless and tasteless when he said what he said to Alison back on Aerie and without her knowing it, She was fullfilling Alison's bitter prophecy to Nicolas. He'd already seen how bad things could get because of "his" actions in one timeline, where he was reviled as the ultimate monster for the sins of his alternate...and now, with everything going on in the MoE timeline, what would happen next? What would Morgan do when she found out about Nicolas and Haleigh's little "moment?" Nicolas would have to do something...and SOON but it might be too late. Ava, and now Alison and it seemed Delilah were all turned/turning against him. It was only a matter of time before Karen and then Morgan did as well.>>

<< Haleigh was prooving to be more than a leader, she was also providing some surprising voice of reason. For someone who specialized in provoking and infuriating others to no end, she also showed remarkable depth of understanding and even concern and empathy. she didnt want to see Delilah at odds with the men, she didnt want to see further division form and most of all, [though she didnt know it] she WOULDNT want to see Alison's prophecy against Nicolas fullfilled for she too saw just how BAD it could get from the last timeline they'd been in.>>

<< on top of surviving in this timeline and trying to find their team mates, they had issues to work on, an impossible burden for most...but for the Six? par for the course>>

<< as the team tried to figure out what to do next, they wouldnt have to wait long.>>

Alternate Persephone

:: through the darkness and the fog, thunder crashes and screams are heard as Persephone appears with Alessandra by her side. Titania, Sati and Inferno, four of MoE's heavy hitters are also there. The goddess, in her treadmark black gear points at Nicolas and Mike, whom they first spot, with hostility in her eyes.::

"THERE they are! Just like DC said they would be! Now it's time to pay the rabble back IN KIND for what they did to Betrayal, to US!"

:: Titania, Sati and Inferno pick a target, while Alessandra and Persephone close in on Nicolas.::

" We'll take care of the bargain basement reject copy of Morpheus. You three take down the others. Hurt them BAD, make them beg for the COMFORT OF DEATH and then, FINISH THEM OFF!"

:: as the others engaged, the goddess licked her ruby red, lush lips as she smirked to her sister wraith and then turned to Nicolas, holding her hand out in a "come hither" gesture.::

" I don't need Morpheus' super strength to rake vermin like YOU across the coals. I'll break your spine MYSELF for what you did to Betrayal!"

:: winds, already gusting at 60 mph, began to swirl, flowing around the legs and feet of Nicolas. the winds made noise as the swelled in speed and strength and a violent UPDRAFT that BLASTS him in the air. Persephone then lifts her arm and hand and directs the winds as they spin, gaining speed and power. they flow tightly to form a FUNNEL of an F4 tornado which is now causing other objects at the base of the funnel to be sucked in with Nicolas at the top and mouth of the funnel.::

" but first I think I'll have a bit of fun with you, at YOUR expense of course."

:: the goddess points and the tornado swells and Nicolas is hurled through the air and sent slamming thorugh a nearby tall building with the force of a wrecking ball. at her mental command, Lightning STRIKES the building dead on. She hopes that either the fall or the crashing, crushing debris will maim him or even kill him.::

Alessandra: Nice work. :: the siren says as she cracks her knuckles::

Persephone: Thanks. I DO hope he comes back for round two. It's been too long since I had an honest to goodness GoL that could TAKE the punishment that i dish out. Usually, its one move and they're dead. THIS one looks like he'll be a good work out.

:: the sister wraiths laugh with smug glee as the prepare for the return of Nicolas.::

at the moment

<< from the look and sound of things, it seems that Darkchilde has sent the Six to a moment in time where various members of the MoE were on the HUNT for GoL to retaliate for Betrayal's murder. She made it so that THE SIX appeared to be members of the GoL to the MoE in this timestream.>>

<< but even if that could be discerned by the Six, they each had more pressing problems, namely members of the MoE breathing down their necks.>>

<< as the two Dire Wraiths present attacked Rampage; Sati, a female metamorph whose powers encompassed those of Mystique [the x-men] along with the benefit of super human speed, class 10 super strength AND the ability of tactile telekinesis attacked MIKE. She came descending from the air, with perfect form and grace, spinning as she delivered a powerfull round house across Mike's JAW with her high heeled boot before landing to the ground and performing another circular sweep kick to topple him. She moved with the speed of thought and was not one for much vocalization either. she preferred to take down her foes as hard and as PAINFULL as possible.>>

<< Inferno greets MorningStar with a massive fireball that he hurls with tremendous force. He's a superb physical fighter and athletic on an olympic scale, he is the only MALE metamorph of MoE and Sati's longtime rival for promotion and recognition but after being whipped into shape by Darkchilde during training, he became a fighter who loved the thrill and VIOLENCE of battle. He possesses a FIRE talisman, granted him by the wraiths and at his current level (4) the effects he can manifest with it are numerous. the fireball SLAMS into the ground at MorningStar's position and ignites into a violent explosion to encompass h er.>>

<< and Black Widow is confronted by none other than Titania, the tall, gorgeous, red haired vengeance demon who THRIVED in conflict, violent situations and times of war. following her mystical upgrades by Darkchilde, Titania gained a high level of endurance and resistance to injury (mainly conventional weapons or physical blows from lesser beings). She and Black Widow were evenly matched in the strength department. Titania carried her cross bow from her days as a darklighter with a "never ending supply" of dark/poisoned arrows. she also possesed the power of conjuration. Titania greets Black Widow by grabbing her wrist, hoisting her up into the air and hurling her into a nearby car.>>

Delilah looked up at the sky.

“Hmm, looks like it’s going to storm.”

Little did she know, that the coming storm wasn’t a meteorological one. But she would find that out soon enough. Figures slowly emerged from the mist.

Pay us back…Betrayal…whoa!...

Before Delilah could vocalize her thoughts, or even get her head around them fully, they were being attacked. It felt like a long time since they had fought actual people. These were Darkchilde’s Masters of Evil – they weren’t their friends, but it felt like they shouldn’t be fighting them. On the other hand, they had to defend themselves. Defending themselves easily won out.

The only male of their group faced Delilah, a confident sneer on his face. He manifested a BALL of FIRE.

“Oh shit,” she said under her breath as the ball was thrown at her feet. She covered her head with her arms and tried to dive away, but her body tensed waiting to feel the burns. She rolled as she hit the ground, wishing silently that Nicolas would have dressed her in pants.

She reached up from the ground, extending her right hand towards Inferno, photon bullets shooting from her fingers which were aimed at his chest. She hoped it would slow him down enough to let her get to her feet. And she really hoped she could stand.

<< much like his female teammate Sati, Inferno had the ability of lightning fast movement due to his metemorph status. crossing his arms in an 'x' fashion against his chest to protect it, Inferno spun out of the DIRECT path of Morningstar's photon bullets but still managed to get shot once in his bicep, forearm, and a grazed along his shoulder. the wounds burned giving him even more incentive to strangle every last breath out of her. gesturing with his good arm the flames that remained from his last attack ignited from the ground into a firestream, flowing over Morningstar in a rainbow like effect. running forward using his super human speeds the second he was next to Morningstar he clothslined her across the neck. as this attack was happening the arched fire stream closed around them both creating a large fire dome, preventing Morningstar from retreating or others from helping her. >>

Inferno: "get up baby, i want to see your pretty little face MELT in my HANDS!"

As Delilah walked away from the group. Haleigh after her, Nicolas looked hard at the mutant. His attempt to show her what he went through with telepathy was stupid in retrospect, and he deserved to pay for it. But he was too angry to take being touched be her; he had had it from someone who he and Mike looked after when she was persona non grata, now she turns on them over a bit of basic chiding and a pretend kiss.

As he stood there, his head seemed to almost split open as he was assaulted by someone playing with his telepathy. His guess was DC, she seemed to have a real problem with people who had it which was understandable given the circumstances if not unfortunate for him. As he staggered forward, he noticed that he was faced with Persephone and another of her Dire Wraith sisters. Persephone spoke, but he did not hear her as he was getting his head together at the moment. Suddenly, he began to spin, twirling in the air at nearly 200 hundred miles per hour at the top of a funnel.

He then blasted headlong, where he did not know until he rammed through the brick wall of a building, skittering along the ground like garbage until he came to a stop at the next wall. He was trying to get up, checking himself out when he smelled the ozone too late as half a million volts crashed into him, igniting his shirt at it exited into the wall and taking his mind ALL off the headache he had. He groaned through gritted teeth an the building gave way around him, threatening to crush him under its weight as it pinned him inside. He struggled under the mass, grateful that he was still alive and that the debris put the fire out. He created a bit of room for himself in the rubble as he realized that he was not good, but better off than he feared. He realized that his compunction against fighting women in the Six would get them killed if he was not careful, that he had to defend himself in order to try to go on here. He drew back and swung a haymaker as he teleported himself in front of Alessandra, trying to even the odds as quickly as he could...
