John's Suite

Steel could feel how tense Ava was; she didn't relax at his touch the way she normally did.

He told her how she had done nothing to be ashamed of, that she could do this. That was when her eyes finally met his.

Ava: "I know."

Then why was she acting like this? He loosened his arms, taking a small step backward at her reaction.

Ava: "I'm not thrilled that I have to air out my private business to the entire Inner Circle over scrambled eggs."

"So have mango and pineapple instead."

The corner of his mouth twitched with his attempt at lightening the mood. But she wasn't laughing, and she moved past him, putting more distance between them. He didn't turn around, but stood there, feeling useless.

Ava: "They're going to question my ability to rule. To protect our court and this club when I couldn't even protect myself or my daughter."

He did turn around then, somewhat impressed by the lengths at which she could go to spin her own imagined weakness.

"First, you didn't know you had a daughter, and when you did, you protected her just fine, thank you. I was there. Second, what could anyone of them have done under the same circumstances? What did Alek do any differently? Your rule is solid, and they aren't going to question that. Haleigh and Ashley would never allow it, for one thing."

Ava's back had been to him, but now she turned around.

Ava: "And truthfully I don't know if that's worse, or them realizing that I'm just another one of Alek's whores he can notch off on his bed post."

"Ava, now you're being ridiculous. Even Alek isn't going to pretend it was like that."

And if he did, John would murder him. Quite literally.

Ava: "I'm sorry. I'm just... [through gritted teeth] tired."

He bridged the distance between them. Reaching out for her but then rethinking the gesture and letting his arms fall back to his sides.

"I know. But now that we're home you can finally get some rest. This thing today is all about how you present it: if you act like nothing is wrong then nothing is wrong."

She picked up his sweater and held it out to him. He took from her, and gave her a reassuring smile. He pulled the neck over his head.

"Lily is a blessing for us. It's a start to a new family. You don't need to say any more than that."

He finished pulling the sweater on and smoothed it down over his shirt.

"If the queens want more details you can give it to them privately. It's not anyone else's business."

She snuggled up on him, rubbing his chest, wrapping her leg around his. Her belly was kind of in the way now, but they had become accustomed to working around it. She would be happy when the babies were born, and she could go back to her normal size and shape. She spoke in his ear, her voice gentle, and he seemed to wake on command. The feeling of him pressing against her thigh made her smile, as she thought it was like turning on a machine. He kissed her, and she was flooded with desire.

He called her name, his tone heavy, as he pulled her even closer, if that were possible. She looked up at him, her smile widening. He kissed her again. He was always kissing her now, as if he was trying to make up for lost time, and she found she liked it. Her tongue met his, as her hands slid up his chest to frame his face. He sat them up together, and she moaned happily, her forehead pressed against his as he broke their kiss. He told her that he wanted every morning to be like this.

”Me too,”

She agreed, though in the back of her mind she knew it wasn’t possible. She didn’t have the heart to hit him with the reality check that once the kids were here nothing would be the same. She hoped in spite of her own rationalism that this wouldn’t end up just as broken as her marriage. She sat back a bit, her eyes searching his. She brushed his crazy, sleep mussed hair back with her fingers. A smirk formed as she deconflicted her logic and her preference.

“I’ll make it my mission.”

She added with determination, and then she dismissed the doubts. She didn’t want to be distracted by all that. At the moment, she just wanted to feel something with him. She began to rock his hips with hers.

The White Bishop’s Quarters

Adriana smiled as Erika groaned and declared that if she ever made Queen, she’d do away with breakfast events. As she sat up the sheet fell to her waist, and Adriana’s smile widened. What a sight.

”And to that I would say: Long live the Queen.”

She whispered conspiratorially. Erika reached up to fix a smudge in Adriana’s eyeliner, and said she had half a mind to skip breakfast. Adriana was tempted to think it would be worth the punishment if they just crawled back in bed together, but she didn’t suggest it. Instead she sighed heavily.

”If it weren’t for the fact that my sister was known for being absentee or egregiously tardy, I’d want to blow it off too.”

She replied, and then Erika wondered if maybe there was more to the breakfast summons than simply welcoming the Black Regents home. Adriana wouldn’t be surprised in the least, half the people here hadn’t been treated for their mental illnesses, and that guaranteed a certain amount of hijinks. Erika’s assumption was an engagement, which made Adriana roll her eyes.

”Ugh, wouldn’t they have learned from what just happened with OUR King and Queen?”

She asked, sliding off the edge of the bed as Erika moved to get up. When Erika asked if Adriana minded her getting ready here, Adriana just tossed her hair and gave a little one-shoulder shrug.

”Whatever you want babe, let me know if you need anything.”

She responded casually. Erika was explaining that she was having clothes brought over, that she only liked thing that were tailored to fit her. She moved closer to make a double-entendre, which caused Adriana’s pulse to quicken. If only she could keep this beauty here for a couple more hours.

“Mmm,”

Her hand moved, seemingly of its own accord, to graze Erika’s skin, up her right hip to her breast, Adriana’s finger nails raking lightly around the nipple there.

”Well a perfect model like you would make anything look like Gucci, and by the way, you can wear me out any time you please, Erika.”

The White Bishop's Quarters

Adriana:
"Well, a perfect model like you would make anything look like Gucci, and by the way, you can wear me out anytime you please, Erika."

"Don't make promises you can't keep, Blondie...I've been told i'm a bit insatiable.."

She brimmed with heat as Adriana's fingers began to mindlessly dance against her skin until they reached her breasts, which were already at attention. The White Princess figured she had just enough time to take care of business before her dress arrived. She tucked a few strands of hair behind Adriana's ears and leaned into her right side. Her wet mouth delicately and sparsely touching Adriana's lobe as she spoke.

"Or were you thinking of other ways I could wear you out?

The White Princess pulled The White Bishop closer to her. This had been a surprising development, but for some reason, at least to Erika, it felt fairly uncomplicated, fun, and mutually beneficial. And she smelled so damn good. Like tobacco and amber. Spicy. Sweet. She was a force. And so was Erika.

"Gucci is fun at parties, meine liebe...but when I die, it will be in Chanel..."

She kissed Adriana softly, her thumb and index finger holding her chin with a delicate touch. Her free hand wrapped around Adriana's lower back, her fingers lightly grazing the area as the two women stared at each other, brimming with anticipation.

"But I feel very alive right now, beautiful...Feel free to take a closer look."

The Red King and White Queen’s Suite

It was like he had woken from a dream to another dream. Haleigh was in his lap, and they were kissing - passionately, intimately. A way she hadn't allowed until they had become closer. It was almost beyond belief for him, that she was here, that she was his.

He wanted every day to be like this one, and said so. She agreed with him, another thing he wouldn't have expected just months ago. He had resigned himself to being a tool for her, a plaything. Until all of that changed and he had gotten everything he'd ever wanted.

Haleigh: “I’ll make it my mission.”

"Aye aye, mission commander."

He grinned playfully, but then it became more lascivious as she began to move above him. He met her motions, holding her hips as he made long smooth strokes inside her.

"God you feel amazing..."

And she did. It was like they had been perfectly cast to fit together. He had never felt what he felt with her, and he never wanted it to end. He always wanted her, even if he had just had her, all he could think of was having her again.

They were in a rhythm and his hands slid up to her breasts. He wanted to feel her come, wanted her to make him come too. One being, together.

He reached one hand between them, starting to stroke her with his thumb while he intensified the movement of his hips. His mouth started to rattle off a list of obscenities as the pressure built and she brought him closer and closer...

The White Bishop’s Quarters
Erika was not in a hurry to get dressed and leave for breakfast. Secretly, Adriana was a bit pleased by that, but she played it cool. The conflict was the summons to breakfast. Adriana would have gladly blown it off in favor of a little more alone time with Erika, except for the fact that Gia had always been late to everything and Adriana needed to overcome that stain on the Nefaria reputation. She said as much, but couldn’t resist closing the distance between them. Adriana complimented and propositioned Erika, who warned in return to not make promises she couldn’t keep, because apparently Erika had been deemed insatiable.

”By someone with inferior stamina, no doubt.”

Adriana quipped, as Erika moved in to speak in her ear. Suddenly, getting to breakfast on time mattered a great deal less to Adriana. After all, she had been prompt for the last three weeks. Surely the Queen would forgive her this once. Erika was still purring in her ear, something about Gucci and Chanel.

”Honestly I’d rather you didn’t wear anything at all.”

She replied, and then Erika invited her to take a closer look. Adriana was completely ready to go to breakfast, hair styled, makeup done, dressed to the nines… but she didn’t care, as her gaze traveled the length of Erika’s body. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

”How could anyone see you and not have to have you immediately?”

She asked rhetorically. She took a step back, her hands sliding down Erika’s arms to grasp her hands as she pulled Erika in the direction of the bathroom. One eyebrow lifted as she smiled salaciously.

”May I offer my Princess the hottest of showers? I will not have it said that my hospitality left anything to be desired.”

She said, and it seemed to be another rhetorical type question. She was already cranking the shower faucet on as hot as it would go. She slipped past Erika to reach into her medicine cabinet and pull out a little pill bottle.

“How about a little enhanced Lover’s Speed?”

She offered, shaking an ecstasy tablet out into her own palm before passing the pill bottle to Erika. She swallowed it dry as she twisted her hair into a messy bun and slipped a scrunchie around it. She began to undress as the steam filled the bathroom.

The Great Hall

”Of course we’re the first ones here.”

Heidi grumbled to Jack as she glanced around the Great Hall. The space was already decorated, mostly with shades of black. The majority of tables and chairs had been removed, save for a few. There was clearly only seating for the Inner Circle. This event was not open to the pawns. Jack led her closer to the round tables. All were covered in black linens, with no distinctions to delineate the courts. Most of the tables only had four place settings, which was an unusual arrangement that meant no full court could sit together.

In fact, Heidi realized, they were not even supposed to try. She saw they had name cards to guide them to the right table. It was a curiosity, because they rarely had assigned seating. It was clear that one table was for the Kings. In addition to their names being on the table, the center piece was an elaborate, masculine looking crown. The three names there were, naturally, Cameron, Alek, and John. Oddly, there was a blank place setting, as if someone else was supposed to be there. Why not just have three chairs and a smaller table?

Haleigh’s gaze shifted to the Queen’s table. This one had a crown of its own, prettier and larger than the other. And this table had five place settings. What the devil? Heidi wondered, looking at the name cards. Seph, Ash, and Haleigh were not a surprise, but the fact that Elena was given a seat at the Queens table? Heidi was astonished. It went beyond extending an olive branch on the White Queen’s part. There had to be a very specific tactical reason to include Elena at her table, and Heidi’s mind swam with ideas. Slightly more understandably, there was a place setting for Erika. The White Princess was very clearly being shown some favor from her Queen.

Near the Queen’s table there was another, smaller table with a child-sized crown and two chairs. The names there were Carolina and Lily. Heidi did not know of any of Carolina’s friends having the name “Lily” but this was obviously the kids table. Heidi smirked, thinking that this kids table would have been a better place to stick Erika, but Haleigh would only do something like that if Erika had pissed her off. There was still time enough for that to happen, in Heidi’s opinion.

She glanced at the other two tables. Four place settings each, one table had the men of the Black Court, plus AJ and Adriana. The other table had cards for Heidi, Jack, Amanda, and Calder. Jack pulled out her chair, and made a remark about the interesting arrangement. She agreed as she sat down. Waitstaff approached their table, carrying small drink and appetizer trays.

The Black Princess' Quarters

She had spent the night being thoroughly and properly fucked by Calder Henriksen, The Red Rook. And as she blinked her eyes from within her suite, underneath her black silk sheets, she realized just how much she had needed the kind of fucking Calder had given her. He was dedicated brute, unafraid to spread her legs and taste her with his tongue, to pin her arms behind her head and fuck her hard. Dedicated to making her cum harder than she had in ages. For months she had been razor focused on her court. There had been so much movement and turnover. She had felt slighted and looked over, despite being elevated to Princess. It was something she felt like she had to fight to get. She hated how she had been acting. But this morning, everything felt right. And despite knowing that today was supposed to be a celebration of her King and Queen's return, the edge that she had been feeling lately didn't seem to matter much right now. Not when she had a hot pureblood Scandinavian man in her bed.

"Ugh....."

Despite her augmented physiology, hangovers were still a reality for The Black Princess as her head began to throb a bit, looking over as Cal slept peacefully next to her, the sheets somehow delicately and perfectly covering his manhood from her as if it were something out of a movie. She smirked as she continued to gain her bearings, sitting upright, her breasts fully exposed as she grabbed her phone and went over the various notifications. She knew that Ava and John had taken in a child from their vacation, and to be honest, Amanda was not quite sure what to make of it. And her king and queen weren't exactly being forthright with intel on the situation. She knew this child was going to live with them, and Amanda had made sure that this child's living quarters were perfect, but she didn't know what this would mean going forward. Did they adopt a child simply not to be one upped by Cameron and Haleigh? Was this a rare case of empathy from Ava to a wayward child because she could not have her own? She didn't know. But she figured she would find out at breakfast. However, there was something she craving this morning more than bacon.

"Rise and shine...."

The Black Princess reached over and placed her hand firmly over Cal's package, still concealed perfectly by the black silk sheets as she gave him a squeeze. He was as big and thick as she remembered. A few moments later she curled her body into his, her breasts pressing against his back as she clung to him.

"Did you have fun last night?"

A New Day...

Daniel Reed had allowed himself to engage in the debauchery of last night freely, finding that he didn't need Grindr so much as he needed friends like Heidi, who could point him in the direction of the rough and tumble bartender he'd had his eye on for weeks. Owen Merrick was salt of the earth. He was an uncommon common man, and in Hellfire, he was a bloody unicorn. Despite being part of a club where people could do the most extraordinary things, so many of them operated within a social binary that never made sense to him. He was living among immortals, among people who would be around for hundreds of years, and yet it seemed that none of the men were even remotely curious about experimenting with anyone who also had a dick. If only the men in Hellfire were as open as the women. Still, he had spent the night rolling around the sheets with Owen, who had proved to be a more than formidable lover, but as the sun began to rise, Daniel Reed did what he always did. He "skipped town" and made sure he was the first member of his court up and running to coordinate this brunch. Ben and Amanda had gotten lost in the night. He wasn't bothered by it. If anybody needed to get their panties wet, it was them. But somebody had to represent his court this morning, to ensure everything was in order and on schedule. And Daniel made sure he was that person. Princes were made in the small moments. And it helped that every time Daniel had sex, he felt very, very dirty and needed to control his environment in order to feel better about himself and the world around him. He'd been up for hours, overseeing the decorating of the Great Hall, handwriting the place settings, and ensuring that this would be a no brainer event for his King and Queen. Daniel was not worried about being viewed as a try hard. Hellfire was a place of extremes. Things turned on a dime, and he was the newbie of his court. As long as his king and queen trusted him, he was fine.

So after several hours of whipping the event into shape, he took a moment to eat in the kitchen and scroll on his phone, before finding himself mindlessly finding Owen's Instagram. As he scrolled through the feed, he thought a number of things and felt them too. How good of a kisser he was. How his tattoos were abjectly terrible and yet, alarmingly hot. He was so unkempt. It was like he didn't care at all, and yet every picture, he looked delectable. It drove Daniel mad. His mother would hate Owen. His father too. Even Daniel himself questioned his attraction to the man, but it was there. Daniel was a man who, by nature of his power, understood emotions much better than those around him. It made Daniel a very memorable lover, but it also gave him insight into other people. As he eyed the scene around him, he realized that the amount of bartenders at the event needed to be increased by at least one. This was a private function. Only The Inner Circle. Owen was trusted, and made more sense to be there, or at least, that's what Daniel had convinced himself of when he found himself in Owen's apartment, like he was hours ago.

"Dammit Reed...get it together..."

Owen's living situation was disgusting to him. Dirty. Too Real. To know that he had been in that bed just hours before was beyond him, and yet he found himself wanting to be back there again. Watching him sleep, watching his beautiful chest heave up and down with breath. It was addicting. He had done almost a full day's work and returned with Owen being none the wiser. He didn't understand how people could sleep for so long. He didn't understand how people could live like Owen did, but he found himself drawn to it. Found himself wanting to take off his clothes and pretend that he had never left. So he did. He took his black garb off and crawled into bed, placing his hand on Owen's chest as he kissed his earlobe.

"Despite how beautiful you look when you sleep, I've got a gig for you if you're interested....."

Manhattan — Hell’s Kitchen, Owen’s Loft

When he woke, he was cold. The bed was cold, the apartment was cold. He got up, pulling on a hoodie and a pair of flannel pants. He called for Daniel, the man he’d brought back to his place last night, but there was no answer. He glanced around for any remnants of his guest. There seemed to be no evidence whatsoever. He gave a heavy sigh.

Owen shuffled down welded iron steps, passed unfinished brick and exposed pipes. He loved the noir feel of the place he rented, but he hated how cold it got. He turned on the radiator furnace. It wouldn’t take long to warm 666 sq ft, but that fact was little consolation at the moment. At least he didn’t have much furniture to trip over in the dim light of dawn. The floorboards creaked under his bare feet as he went to start the coffee.

His mind drifted back to the night before. Gods bless the women of the white court, who apparently had conspired to hook him up with the Black… Bishop (?) He wasn’t sure of the title. The man was a relatively new arrival, but Owen was glad to have him around nonetheless. It was just a drag that he’d snuck out early this morning. After last night, Owen would’ve been happy to cook him breakfast and fuck around a little more. Now that he’d been ghosted, he wasn’t all that hungry. He looked over his bookcase, every single volume of which was stolen, for something to read.

It was his day off, after all. That was good, he wouldn’t be tempted to ask questions around Hellfire about Daniel Reed. He could just stay in, not spend any money, and wait for this feeling to wear off. The problem was, there wasn’t a single book that sounded good to him at the moment. He was annoyed to even be awake.

“Eh, fuck it.”

He grumbled to himself, trudging back upstairs to his bed, shrugging out of his clothes, and pulling the covers over himself once more. He drifted off back to sleep rather quickly, and dreamt of a man too proper to be caught in the morning light of an apartment the size of a closet in Hell’s Kitchen. Then he was waking up again, surreally, to Daniel being there. He was surprised, and a bit confused. Had he dreamt getting up earlier? No, he could smell the coffee brewing. That meant Daniel had come back.

Owen was too pleased to ask any questions about it. He propped himself up on his elbows as he considered this ‘gig’ he was being offered. A little extra cash meant he might be able to get that trash polka piece he’d been saving up for. But he hadn’t had a day off in ten. He was torn. He looked at Daniel, admiring his heavy brow, strong jawline, and perfect chin. Owen raised an eyebrow, as he shifted to his side, facing Daniel. He leaned his weight onto one elbow now, his free hand going to rake his messy red hair into something that looked a little less fucked.

“You gonna be there?”

The Red King’s Suite

As she rode him, she braced herself with one hand on his shoulder, the other on the headboard. With the headboard, she was careful. She knew he’d long since grown tired of replacing his furniture, so she tried not to break it. When he reached between them to touch her, she let out a feral sound and leaned back. Her hand dropped from the headboard to clamp firmly around his wrist.

She didn’t have to be cautious with her grip anymore. He had quite a stronger constitution than most men, and it was one of the things she loved about him. She was free to just get lost in the throes of passion and not concern herself with hurting him. She moaned as she got closer. He swore, and she smirked down at him. She made herself tighter around him, intending to send him over the edge, and then she cried out loudly, because she came too.

Her grip softened, her rhythm slowed. Her heart thundered happily in her chest. She could feel him pulsing inside as she stilled. Her hands slid over her shoulders and she pulled him closer, her fingers raking through his hair as she scratched his scalp gently. She worked her nails methodically around his skull, cradling him against her chest and enjoying the coarseness of his beard on her breasts. Yes, every morning like this would be wonderful, but her doubts churned in the background persistently. When he emerged from her bosom, she kissed him again, deeply. She would’ve been perfectly happy to stay in his lap a little while longer, but she was struck by a post coital contraction.

“Oh, sorry…”

She groaned, sliding off of him. Smoothly, carefully she rotated into a sitting position next to him, and then she laid back, blowing the air out of her lungs in a very measured effort. Her hands went to her rotund belly, her mind went to sensing the babies’ heartbeats. They were fine, and she would be fine as well, after a few contractions. It had not quite reached the threshold of Erika’s scientifically calculated schedule, but Haleigh had an instinct that the babies would be born soon. Maybe even today, tomorrow at the latest. She wanted, at least, to make it through this breakfast ahead of them.

”Are you excited to see Lily this morning?”
