Anyone been catching this? I was a little skeptical that this series has *that* much more life in it and was banking on this being the final season. The first episode was excellent as always, with a big budget for special effects they utilized well. The last episode was pretty bad, though. We're back to the meteor freaks again and the story arc with the beauty pageant was so bad I was cringeing at the screen.

Adding Supergirl to the lineup seems to have made things more interesting, though. Think I'll stick with it long enough to see the return of Green Arrow, just because I think they do a great job with him on the show.

I'm actually hoping this is the final season the show has become more than a little stagnate. Think having Supergirl in the mix is good but not enough to save the show. And i really find myself really hating the Daily Planet editor.

As for Green Arrow at this point i be happy to see a JLA spinoff

And i really find myself really hating the Daily Planet editor.

What's up with that? He seems more like an enthusiastic frat boy than an editor (presumably with at least a couple years of experience in journalism). Almost as weird as casting Kate Bosworth in 'Returns'.

I think I like Supergirl, that was a good idea..

Alright its time for Smallville's annual DCU character shoutout and this time its Black Canary guest staring

The CW on Friday unveiled Alaina Huffman as Smallville's Black Canary, providing The Continuum 11 images from the "Siren" episode.

Here's how The CW describes the episode, which is scheduled for Feb. 7.

"While secretly working for Oliver (guest-star Justin Hartley), Chloe (Allison Mack) intercepts one of Lex¹s (Michael Rosenbaum) project files, but she is attacked by the Black Canary (guest-star Alaina Huffman), a mystery woman with a subsonic cry. Dinah Lance, Black Canary's alter ego, is a conservative talk show host who is working at the Daily Planet and clashes with Lois (Erica Durance). Lex convinces the Black Canary that the Green Arrow and his team are terrorists so she launches an attack on the Green Arrow and Clark (Tom Welling). Meanwhile, Lois discovers Oliver's secret."

Huffman recently played Maureen in Sci Fi Channel's Painkiller Jane.

"Siren" was written by Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders and directed by Kevin Fair.
