Shattered!

Aerie

Peering up at the familiar chime that reverberated through the air, Blaze’s eyes went wide as she saw Hecate, Haleigh, and MORGAN! A part of her wanted to run to her sibling and hold onto her for dear life. But even she knew her sister needed time.

Blaze remained where she was, wanting to give Morgan the space she needed. Everyone would most likely surround her anyway.

What was surprising the most was that Haleigh was alive! Not an injury was on sight of the hybrid. Walking over to the blonde, Blaze nodded to her casually.

“If your looking for Ava, I think she returned to her villa.”

Even if Blaze and Haleigh weren’t on great terms she still deserved to know where her baby sister was.

Side-stepping the hybrid, Blaze sent Nicolas a deadly glare as if to say ‘back off’. It was in the fire elemental’s nature to be protective of the ones she loved. Stepping next to Morgan, Blaze offered her a warm smile.

“Decided to come back huh, Morg?”

Slowly, Blaze threw her arms around Morgan’s neck into a tender hug. Words didn’t need to be expressed for Blaze’s eyes spoke volumes. Behind the emerald-green was a tad of worry along with compassion and warmth.

“This flaming canary was worried sick about you!”

The anger wasn't that bad. Haleigh could handle the anger.... she could stand it..... but seeing Morgan cry..... seeing Morgan in such deep despair really CRUSHED Haleigh, and the sight immediately made the hybrid release the tears she'd been trying to fight since Morgan had come back. It was worse even than knowing Morgan hated her now.... and it left Haleigh at a loss for something to say.... or even do. She wanted to comfort Morgan.... as her FRIEND but that was not her right anymore.... not her friend ANYMORE.

Morgan said:
I'm returning to Earth...and you can return to Aerie but you are NOT welcomed to my home...EVER.

for the sake of my destiny, and the role the Six is meant to play...I will find SOME WAY to stomach your presence on the Six. But we ARENT friends, we're NOTHING MORE than circumstancial allies.

Haleigh was nearly incapable of speaking at this point... she didn't know if she could BREATHE the words or even mouth them, but somehow.... she managed to reply, though almost inaudibly.

"Fair enough..... I understand."

Morgan said:
and i hope the guilt you feel MATCHES and EXCEEDS the level of pain you and Nicolas caused ME.

Haleigh gazed at her for a moment, a crease in her brow.

"You don't have to hope for that, Morgan. From the moment you released me from Set's hold with the Soul Sword, I have been plagued by guilt, shame, and sorrow, the depths of which you could not possibly fathom. I AM sorry..... i will ALWAYS be sorry."

Hecate took them back... to where the others waited. Nicolas was there... Haleigh was too drained to even attempt to warn him to take it easy.... she just looked at him. Maybe he would understand.... maybe he wouldn't. Haleigh was still wrapping her head around everything. Blaze was curt, but kind enough to tell Haleigh that Ava had gone home. Haleigh nodded in return. She might have told them where she was going.... but she figured either they could guess or they didn't care.

"If you need anything.... you know how to reach me."

She disappeared.... reappearing at Ava's villa..... calling for her sister.

"Ava??"

:: Sitting on the edge of her bed, Onyx laid sprawled out behind Ava, quietly sleeping. It seemed that with Hecate's restoration spell, it not only eased Ava, but Onyx as well. With Persephone's tie to animals it was no wonder her feline compainion was on edge lately. Rubbing her hands down her face, Ava sat hunched over with her elbows resting on her thighs. ::

:: Looking up toward her bedroom door, she heard Haleigh's voice call out her name. Pushing herself off her bed, Ava walked with bare feet out of her bedroom and down to the livingroom where Haleigh was most likely located. Coming down the hall, she soon caught sight of her sister's tear-stained face and somber expression.....Ava's eyes softened but she didn't say a word. There were no words to say in a situation like this. Approaching her sister, Ava simply embraced her with a comforting hug. A reassuring hug to let her know that dispite everything she was still there for her. Running her hand down Haleigh's blonde hair, Ava shut her eyes before finally speaking in a soft whisper. ::

"It's okay....i'm here now.."

once again

[ back on Aerie, Hecate surveys the group, not really waiting for anyone's "reunion moments" as she begins to speak.]

Now then. We've done all that we can...SHOULD do. The rest is your responsibility...your burden.

[ looking at Nicolas and Haleigh as she disappears]

and some of you will have a most deserved HARDER TIME than others, but that is the way it must be.

Athena and I are moving on to see Alison. In the next day or so, she should be paying this place a visit. You're a group whose collective importance far outweighs the turmoil that you're in now...and that is one of the main reasons why we came.

Of course I had a special interest in Morgan, [ resting her hand on Karen's shoulder] and Karen, and Alison , but I know that just like I had to pick up the pieces after my own life was torn apart by outside forces so long ago on Olympus, you all will find a way as well.

and for pity's sake, do it SOON. your drama on this island rivals ANYTHING that went on in the halls of olympus. It's a wonder anyone on this or any plane of existence that is aware of you could function inspite of ALL THAT RACKET!

[ with that, Hecate and Athena bid them farewell and leave for Minerva's Mansion. they did what they could, keeping the group from forever splintering and ultimately fullfilling any one of the tragic timelines they had seen in a recent caper, but the rest would have to come from within.]

back to the rotunda

<< Spellbinder cast a lofty glare upon Nicolas. She might as well have been looking at him from down the long reach of a gun barrell.>>

<< but after the awkward silence, as Haleigh left, the alternate Blaze came to Morgan and hugged her, welcoming her home. Morgan didnt hesitate to return the embrace.>>

Yes...it was time really. Hecate showed me that. I can't run or hide....nor SHOULD I. I'm not the wrong in the wrong.

<< she said loud enough for anyone to hear.>>

where is mom>

<< Blaze informed her that she was inside with Mike. She hadnt heard anything about how Persephone had snapped and killed him, how Karen had healed him or become so abusive to the others...there was alot sh e missed, but she'd find out soon enough. for now...though she may not have wanted to admit it, it was GOOD to be back on earth, even IF the JERK was in close proximity.>>

<< Hecate and Athena advised them that their work was done here and that they were going to see Alison. Morgan wanted to go, but there was no invitation to join them in Hecate's statement so she held her tongue. as the two goddesses left, Morgan thanked them for their help.>>

Well...it's late.

Blaze, Sharon, Delilah...you're welcomed to come to the Rotunda...

<< and since Ava and Haleigh had already left, that left only Nicolas.>>

and you are not.

<< she said as she turned her back on him and began to walk toward the rotunda. the evening was reaching its darkest point in terms of time. in a few hours, the light of dawn would come to the island.>>

an awkward beginning of sorts

<< no words, no fuss...not anymore. Hecate and Athena had calmed the situation from toxic to "cold and bitter" at best, but at least NOW the possibility for truce, the ability to at least TOLREATE one another on this island was now there.>>

<< Hecate may not have intended for this , and many not have realized it, but her own saga with Persephone and Hades so many moons ago was not entirely UNLIKE that of Morgan's with Haleigh and Nicolas. Just as Haleigh and Persephone were now reconciled. Perhaps one day Morgan and Haleigh would be too...but Nicolas? Even I wouldnt hazard a guess on that. He may just have to be content on having a civil relationship with his "auntie" Dominique! ;) >>

<< as everyone disperses from the unofficial gathering after the goddesses leave, a restored Ava comforts Haleigh; a calmer, more tranquil Karen sits with her partner, as they reassure each other that there IS a better way for them all to be and that they CAN find it; Morgan reunites with some of her friends and "family" and Nicolas seems to be more in control, more whole, and able to return to his own mansion.>>

<< through all the fuss and changes and turmoil, EVERYONE seemed to forget that the smallest of things have a way of forcing the moments they least want to see occurr. In this case, Nicolas showing up at the rotunda AGAIN after his last emotionally charged "Rampage" through parts of the structure. He had a VISITOR at his mansion, in the form of TINKERBELL. Who, during the commotion of earlier had slipped away through the shadows to try to find the 'big one' that always helped her mommy. she didnt realize that her mommy was MAD at him right now and now, she was sleeping contently on his bed, curled up with a paw over her face. Nicolas knew he'd have to return her and soon.>>

<< for all his strength and power, who knew that the simplest mission of returning a cat to her proper home could be so "dangerous!">>

<< what will happen with that? where will everyone go from here? well, as it always goes, we have to watch and wait.>>

<< and so we watch.>>

One exchange of glances with her sister was all it took for Haleigh to lose her composure again. Ava was right there with a hug; one needed so badly it was nearly the only thing holding the hybrid together. And though they would BOTH know it wasn't the ONLY reason she was there, Haleigh tried to say something....

"I c-came by to make sure you were ok-kay..."

She choked out. Her logical, rational side told her to pull herself together, that being so upset about something she couldn't change was silly.... but her rampant emotional side had taken over and wouldn't let go. It was the harder, no so pleasant side of no longer being emotionally detached... and suddenly.... Haleigh realized that this kind of breakdown would be EXACTLY why her future self had shut off her 'emotional core'. Haleigh took a deep breath, trying to steady herself.

"I know I put you through a lot.... with all of this. I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry..."

It was all she could say. Deep down, she was afraid no one would believe her... she had a history of NOT being sorry.... she had a reputation for being bitterly stubborn, to a fault. But this time was different. She had been apologizing with increasingly frequency since this whole thing happened... but everytime she said it she couldn't help but feel the words were not enough to convey what she meant.

inside the rotunda

<< Having been informed of why parts of the rotunda were damaged only served to FURTHER dim her view of Nicolas. How would he like it if she took down half HIS home with a few well placed eldritch bolts?>>

<< Mike's savage murder came as a shock to the witch, but it was even MORE of a surprise to learn that her MOTHER brought him back, going somewhere that Ororo had always advised them not to. She was both impressed and secretly JEALOUS to a degree. But she could see the change in her mother. She was GLAD that her mother now had full access to the Darkhold and had a new level of power to herself. If Morgan had decided to leave the Six forever, her mother could have filled in as the team's sorceress.>>

<< with Sharon, Blaze and Delilah staying in the rotunda tonight and Karen looking after Mike in her chambers of the rotunda, Morgan returned to her own grand "chamber of dreams". sitting at her marble vanity, wearing a low cut, satin silver slip, she brushed her hair slowly as she looked at herself in the mirror. every little sound, sensation here was a surprisingly WELCOMED change from her time in Limbo. Yes she had been reveling in her darkest thoughts and fantasies there, she could do ANYTHING there, but in her heart's most secret places, she knew Hecate was right, her place was HERE.>>

<< she'd taken a bold step forward in returning. the more she thought about it, the more she realized that she'd given Haleigh and Nicolas TOO MUCH power. They had wronged her utterly, betrayed her and her pain was all too real. the fact that it wasnt JUST an affair, it wasnt just some random thing, it was something that was LURKING in BOTH their hearts and Set brought it forth...BROUGHT IF FORTH! That was what she couldnt get past. It was not only a betrayal, it was an insult to her as a woman. Nicolas had apparently NOT found her to be enough for him. But he neednt worry about that anymore.>>

<< she paused for a moment, looking at picture of him that sat , framed on the counter of the vanity. >>

Bastard.

<< she said coldly as she knocked the picture over into a trash basket, and returned to brushing her hair. far across the way, her small kitten, the one given her by Haleigh was sleeping on the larger than king sized bed. She hadnt YET noticed that Tinkerbell was not present.>>

<< with everyone else in the rotunda either settling in or already sleeping, the sorceress was looking forward to a night's sleep near her friends and family. tomorrow would be another day.>>

:: It took everything Ava had not to start crying herself as she held her sobbing sister in her arms. Opening her eyes, they were filled with tears, but the goddess kept them at bay. ::

"I c-came by to make sure you were ok-kay..."

"Shhh...i'm fine sweetie, i'm okay."

:: It was such a role reversal for the sisters. Only a couple weeks ago Ava was on the recieving end of Haleigh's comfort after she had returned from the alternate timeline. But now, she had to be the strong one; the rock that held Haleigh together. As wrong as Haleigh's actions were....Ava hated seeing her in such a state of guilt and sorrow. In fact, she had NEVER seen Haleigh become so emotional before. She would always just suck it up and put on a brave front. Pretend that whatever the problem was didn't bother her. But this...broke her down to the core. In such a way Ava honestly didn't know where to start picking up the pieces. ::

"I know I put you through a lot.... with all of this. I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry..."

:: Shaking her head, Ava pulled away from Haleigh enough so she could look into her eyes. ::

"No, honey listen to me...I was on this path way before this situation even came to be. It was bound to happen sooner or later, okay? I'm fine now.....[Ava's misty blue eyes examined Haleigh's distraught state] but you're not....come on...lets get you to bed.."

:: Running her hand down Haleigh's cheek, Ava slipped right into mother mode...which was something that not many people saw, or even EXPECTED, from the woman. Wrapping her one arm behind Haleigh's back, Ava walked her to her master suite where Onyx immediately jumped off the bed giving the woman access to it. Sitting down with Haleigh on the edge of her bed, they faced the open french doors which lead out of Ava's balcony overlooking the ocean. The waves were calm and quietly broke along the water's edge. The moon was in a crecent shape and reflected off the water....ideally it was the perfect night, but as Ava looked at her sister...the night's beauty was overshadowed by Haleigh's broken state. ::

"Come on.."

:: She whispered softly as she helped Haleigh lay down before climbing beside her to lay next to her [Haleigh's back to Ava]. The stark contrast of the two woman was immediate to the eyes. One was a blonde, the other a brunette. One was by far the tomboy of the two while the other enjoyed the 'girly things'. But as Ava and Haleigh laid there, their differences seemed to fade away. They looked more like sisters in that moment in every way that counted. Taking Haleigh's hand within hers, Ava laid on her side facing the open window. ::

"Remember when you used to make me watch those horrible horror movies...and I would be so scared afterwards that I would sneek into your bedroom late at night thinking some three-armed monster was going to eat me? [a soft, short laugh escaped Ava's lips as she remembered the memory] You always used to let me stay with you......you'd curl up behind me [Ava inched her body close to Haleigh's] and wrap your arm around me [moving her arm so it was around Haleigh, she took her sisters hand back into hers again]....and tell me that everything was going to be okay....."

:: Ava didn't have to continue....she didn't need to say those words for Haleigh to know what she meant. The situation was grim now, but if she and Hecate could come to terms after such a long rift in their friendship, there was still hope for Haleigh and Morgan. But for now, Ava made sure that Haleigh knew that SHE was there for her....regardless. ::

inside the rotunda

<< Karen felt much better. Not only had Athena healed her hands, which showed the stark consequence of her new level of channeling dark magick, but she had spoken to the woman at her core.>>

<< with Mike alive again, Karen was able to think more clearly about other issues and almost on cue, Hecate had returned with MORGAN and Haleigh was STILL alive! a good sign indeed. As Mike greeted her with warmth and love, Karen didnt rebuff him this time. she understood where he was coming from and received his love and quietly reassured him they would make it through...somehow. >>

<< after a heartfelt reunion with her daughter and a heart to heart about the days to come, Karen returned to her chambers on another level and area of the rotunda. she had offered Mike to stay there so he wouldnt have to journey home on foot, but she DID inform him that Nicolas had returned and was at their shared mansion now.>>

I'll understand if you want to go home to see about Nicolas. I can send you there so that you dont have to walk.

<< Karen said as she sat at HER vanity, brushing her hair. It was easy to see where Morgan got her flair for self grooming from. >>

Hecate brought my baby home...and Haleigh is still alive. everyone is alive and we will get through this a little easier now I think.

the goddesses, Hecate and Athena have definately showed their concern in helping us when we needed it most. they balance the scales that were tipped by Set.

Morgan seems ready to deal with what will come...and now we can all try our best to do it TOGETHER.

Mike relaxed a bit as he lay in Karen's bed. Their tension had greatly eased and it seemed that MAYBE there was a way back from all of this. Only time would tell.

Karen informed him of Nicolas return and that he was at the mansion. She offered to send him back to avoid the walk but he shook his head as he rose to give a her a hug and kiss from behind.

No. Nicolas would rather be alone right now and he is afraid that me being there for him will harm the relationship I have with you, despite assurances to the contrary. I will return there in the early morning...on MY OWN. I will not be shied away from walking around here by myself. But tonight... speaking of doing it TOGETHER...I want to spent as much time as I can with YOU. When I...died, I was amazingly at peace with myself, reasonably satisfied with trying to do my best, but there was one thing that I regretted...not being with YOU anymore. I. MISSED. YOU.

He turned her around in her chair, getting on his knees in front of her as he held her face gently in his hands.

So. <<kiss>> Madam. <<kiss>> If you please. <<kiss>> I would like to celebrate the relative triumphs of tonight by accepting as much love from you. <<kiss>> As you are willing to give. What do you say?

Mike kisses Karen, then lifts her in one easy movement...

Nicolas watched as Morgan uninvited him, refused to deal with him altogether. He understood completely, his emotions going numb as he realized that Morgan and he were no more, probably NEVER more.

Nicolas turned and walked away, his body slowly tearing away as if pulled apart...

..only to come back together at his own mansion he'd shared with Mike. It was familiar and comfortable, but he immediately sensed something. Something not unfamiliar but that he had not noted in quite a while. As he entered his own bedroom, he saw her...TINKERBELL. Sitting in his bed relaxing. he immediately came over, picking her up, and cradled her as he he wordlessly drained away the hurt and pain from himself. He spoke to her as he went about spoiling her.

Tink, Tink, Tink. As you can see, Mommy's not here. She will never be...here again. I was not strong enough, and now to her I may as well be DEAD. I had a harmless attraction with a friend, feelings upon which I would have never acted, but my Daddy simply pulled those to the surface, took advantage of my weakness, and now I may never hold you like this EVER again. I will never hold your MOMMY at ALL.

Nicolas kisses the cat, cradling her close one last time, unwittingly marking her strongly with the scent of his cologne, a habit that previously was NO PROBLEM.

Time to bring you back home. Mommy is THERE now.

Nicolas walks across the island at a brisk pace, taking time to take in the flora and fauna of the island as he moved, caressing and nuzzling the cat, spoiling her utterly as he held her for the final time.

As he arrived, he heard Morgan's words in his ears and did not wish to encroach on her space. He let the cat down and looked at her as she turned back to face him.

Mommy is here, now go to her. She will miss you soon if you do not. Hey Tink...the Big One will always love BOTH of you.

Nicolas turns to walk away from the rotunda...

Haleigh was usually the one doing the comforting.... it was a role she was good at; being strong, being dependable for her sister was easy for her. But this time, for a change, it was Ava who was being the bedrock for her sister to cling to, and she was surprisingly very good at it.

Ava said:
"No, honey listen to me...I was on this path way before this situation even came to be. It was bound to happen sooner or later, okay? I'm fine now.....[Ava's misty blue eyes examined Haleigh's distraught state] but you're not....come on...lets get you to bed.."

Haleigh let Ava lead her away, her eyes tranfixed in a glassy, distant stare. Her sister tried to comfort her, to assauge her guilt at least about HER lapse of sanity, and it helped... a little. She knew her sister had been through a lot, a trying few months in a terrible alternate timeline, and though Haleigh knew that had a lot to do with her snapping and killing Mike, she couldn't help but feel that this ordeal had been the final straw. She crawled into bed, staring out the open window, the gentle breeze washing over her, the sound of the waves pulling Haleigh closer to sleep. She was truly exhausted.... she had not been getting much sleep before but today's rollercoaster of events had all but completely drained her.

Remember when you used to make me watch those horrible horror movies...and I would be so scared afterwards that I would sneek into your bedroom late at night thinking some three-armed monster was going to eat me? [a soft, short laugh escaped Ava's lips as she remembered the memory]

Haleigh gave a shudder, a soft but quick sigh that meant to be a chuckle.

"Yeah....."

She said softly. Haleigh saw the correlation quickly. She was experiencing a similar terror herself... but the monster she had to fear was within herself, ready to drag her down to the depths of self-loathing, a freefall from which she might not recover.

You always used to let me stay with you......you'd curl up behind me [Ava inched her body close to Haleigh's] and wrap your arm around me [moving her arm so it was around Haleigh, she took her sisters hand back into hers again]....and tell me that everything was going to be okay.....

Haleigh sighed gently. Her sister's embrace made her feel safe.... as if she were not in danger of being completely ALONE in this. It helped to know her sister was there, and would continue to be there. But still.... even as her sister tried to tell her it would be okay...

"That's sweet, but it's not logical. I hurt her, Ava.... I hurt EVERYONE, but I REALLY hurt Morgan. She trusted me and I betrayed her so easily.... in such a cavalier manner.... I surprised even MYSELF. I understand the mechanics of what happened... but how? How could I? shouldn't there have been SOMETHING.... some final pause to stop me. I should have never let it go that far... in my heart... I should've never let myself love him."

Her tone was low.... condemning. She said it as if she had any control over it, as if it were some switch she could have flipped or some cognizant decision she'd made.... as if she were not at the mercy of the will of Love, just like everyone else..... She stared off, her eyelids drooping. She was so tired....

the rotunda

<< As Nicolas carefully brought Tinkerbell home to her mommy, he spoke to the cat, somehow always knowing that the cat could understand him. Tinker was sometimes the most objective life form among the Six. She was definately one of the most gifted of the many animals in their midst.>>

<< Tinkerbell walks away slowly, looking back at Nicolas as he bids her farewell. after a few moments she moves inside the first areas of the rotunda, finding a shadow and trotting into it and reappearing in her mommy's chamber of dreams where she is happily greeted by Morgan.>>

<< as Morgan holds her, she immediately notices the scent of Nicolas' cologne.>>

<< seconds later, Morgan can be see from one of the higher window openings of the rotunda, holding Tinker and watching Nicolas leave, silently, from the distance.>>

<< Tinker fidgets a bit in Morgan's arms and Morgan absentmindedly strokes her. with him not seeing her, she allows her glare upon him to soften into a more reflective gaze.>>

<< the more she thought about it, the more she realized...she should be MORE angry with him and yet, Hecate's story...about Persephone and Hades and how SHE had been burned by that...it kept echoing in Morgan's mind. They'd SEEN those events first hand when they traveled back into time...and yet Hecate and Persephone were close again now after all this time!>>

<< at the moment, she didnt know what she'd do about them, but she guessed that Hecate didnt readily know either when she was the one. >>

Rotunda - Chamber of Dreams

"If you need anything.... you know how to reach me."

Nodding to Haleigh, Blaze at least acknowledged the hybrid. Hot-translucent tears adored the blonde’s face, something that was rare. It almost pulled at Blaze’s heart to see the woman upset. But deep down Blaze knew she deserved to be upset, to be agony, it was the cost for her feelings, the love she felt for Nicolas. Something that Set had only heightened with his manipulation.

Turning away from Haleigh, Hecate speaks up as her voice is projected to reach everyone around her. Advising that she and Athena will counsel with Alison and that she would return to Aerie. Another positive sign.

Yes...it was time really. Hecate showed me that. I can't run or hide....nor SHOULD I. I'm not the wrong in the wrong.

Pulling back from Morgan, Blaze was grateful to have Morgan returned to them. “Well, at least someone knocked some sense into you.” Winking up to Morgan, Blaze brushed her hand across Morgan’s shoulder.

Well...it's late.

Blaze, Sharon, Delilah...you're welcomed to come to the Rotunda...

“Thank you.”

Returning inside with Sharon, Delilah, and Morgan each departed to their separate rooms. Blaze returned to her room to grab the bottle of Grey Goose vodka she had taken earlier. Departing her room she returned to the kitchen. Taking two chilled margarita glasses she placed a thick coating of sugar around one and sugar around the second glass. Plucking the lemon juice from the fridge she poured 1/2 oz of the Grey Goose vodka and 1/2 oz of lemon juice to make a lemon drop.

Picking up the two margarita glasses, Blaze walked down the hallway until she gently knocked on Morgan's door. Unaware that Nicolas was just there seconds ago to return Tinkerbell to her mother.

"Morg, its me. I brought lemon drops so open up!"

Smirking, she knew Morgan could use some company with everything she had been through.

and so it goes

<< and so as Morgan watches Nicolas leave from afar, she begins to experience something that is as timeless as the act of an "affair" itself...regardless of how it happened. Mike initiates "time well spent" with his "Good Doctor" and she allows him to go where he will, realizing that they DID INDEED have a rare and precious second chance.>>

<<Blaze and Ava had found common ground which helped them bridge their gap as well. Ava does her very best to be there for her sister, her actions, her words making all the difference to keep Haleigh from shutting down completely. While Morgan's own sister, the alternate Blaze and her other "sister" Delilah spend the night in the rotunda, along with Sharon. And Blaze took the opportunity to spend some time with her sister just as Ava was doing with Haleigh. >>

<< the team was together on Aerie at least. That was the first step...and that is how all things, changes and events begin...with that first step.>>

<< in the end, the biggest battle was perhaps NOT the one with Set...but the one the team faced within during the AFTERMATH. the events of this caper were crucial in that they could have opened the door for any of the tragic timelines that had been seen before to become THIS reality...and now the team had a chance to pick up the pieces and move on...one step at a time.>>

<< and so we watch.>>
