As Haleigh neared the car, she got a better look at the woman... she looked vaguely familiar... someone Haleigh had known? No... she introduced herself as Sharon Kelly, and the dawn of recognition appeared in a gracious smile as Haleigh nodded, keeping her voice low so as not to wake the boy.

"It's nice to meet you... I wish it were under better circumstances."

Nicolas introduced her, easing her in. Haleigh also recognized the woman's voice... she'd heard it over one of the local radio stations today. The Silver Swan.... and Haleigh also put two and two together that this was the woman the group had talked about-- the one who would release news of the Valiant and its crew, in addition to updates on the fog to the public.

Nicolas mentioned that Sharon and Kyle would be staying in the pool house, and Haleigh nodded. She already knew that the boy's father had died on the yachting accident... she'd seen his ME report and death certificate along with the rest. She could understand why the upper echelon of this town was so tight knit now... they were united through loss. Haleigh between Sharon and Nicolas in the truck bench-style seat, riding 'bitch' as he slid into the truck and headed home. She crossed her legs at the knee to allow him a little more room, and gave a small smile to Sharon as she gently repositioned Kyle's feet onto her lap so that he wouldn't have to be crunched up.

Nicolas... drive as fast as you are comfortable without alarming Sharon. I will clear the way so we don't run into red lights or traffic. This fog is getting thicker.... we don't want a repeat of last night-- this little boy would be traumatized!

the Mayor's Mansion

<< Karen felt Mike's hands on her shoulder. She tensed just a bit for a split second as she didnt register he'd crawled up behind her on the king sized canopy bed. He did his best to comfort her, and tonight of all nights, she appreciated that.>>

I dont know...Alison...she told Delilah and I something today, some information she found...it was...

<< the loud, heavy knocking began. the first set of wraps ended as she turned her gaze to the doorway of her room. Mike pulled a large firearm out from under the BED!>>

Michael!?

<< she said in astonishment.>>

Hiding weapons through the house? what is this...hogan's alley!?

<< Mike told her to stay where she was as he went to investigate but every fiber of her being told her that he shouldnt go alone. She was still suffering from the events of the day, but she caught sight of herself in her vanity. she would NEVER forgive herself if something tonight...something in this FOG claimed Michael's life.>>

<< she stood up, quickly wrapping the matching silk robe to her night gown around herself and tieing it at the waist before slipping into her high heeled "pussy cat" slides. down the hall and to the stairs she went. she heard the knocking again.>>

Michael, don't go to the door!

<< she called out.>

Stay away ...from the door!

<< as she quickly made her way down the stairs. her intuition, her FEELING as a witch told her this was something else...and she was right.>>

Morgan's mansion

<< the fog seemed to swell and billow around the glass double doors of her kitchen that lead out to the patio and that was where the knocking was coming from.>>

<< Morgan looked toward the doors..>>

knocking...at this time of night? Nicolas would just APPEAR...

<< they all knew it couldnt be anyone they KNEW, so who WAS IT?>>

<< the fog seemed to b e billowing like CLOUDS against the doors and around the windows...and then Tinkerbell, who had been curled up on a chair nearby began reacting badly. her ears were down, her tail swishing, and she growled and mewled with agitation. a bad sign.>>

<< Morgan looked at Tinkerbell before slowly standing up and making her way toward the doors. she wasnt afraid...and yet, she KNEW that she was INSANE for going toward the doors.>>

I see....

<< the knocking came again...and then came that voice.>>

Chrisotpher: Morgannnn? MORGAN! Daddy's home....open the door for daddy!

<< her icy violet eyes widen as she sees the shadowy form of a man..who stands tall...but his clothing looks tattered and there's seaweed around him. she cant see him clearly ...but his physical form is there.>>

daddy!?

<< Morgan was truly dismayed but at least now, Ava and Blaze HEARD AND SAW this too.>>

Nicolas nodded as the young woman assured him of smooth sailing. He decided to reassure Sharon first.

Just relax Sharon. I am going to safely expedite our trip a bit, I am getting a feeling that we need to be home NOW.

Nicolas wheeled the truck at about 80 miles per hour in the town, using his TK to smooth out the trip for all involved. It would only seem a bit faster, but they were getting to the house in record time... he sent a message to Haleigh as he drove.

What is it about this virus that has you so spooked?

Michael!?

<< she said in astonishment.>>

Hiding weapons through the house? what is this...hogan's alley!?

No, this is Mike's alley, and I come prepared to fight!

Brandishing the weapon, Mike quickly made his way downstairs and had his hand on the door when...

Michael, don't go to the door!

<< she called out.>

Stay away ...from the door!

Mike froze. Normally he would have gone ahead, but her VOICE, the sound, the timbre of it, she was truly afraid of him opening that door. Raising one eyebrow as he looked back at her, Mike took a big step back, leveling the weapon at the door itself as the knocks continued. He spoke softly but audibly to Karen.

What do we do then, Madame Mayor?

Mayor's mansion

<< she reached the main floor as she saw Mike step BACK from the the door.>>

thank the goddess...

<< she said as she made her way to his side...she felt that same COLD feeling wash over her, just like last night! Mike asked what they should do....and the knocking continued, LOUDER this time.>>

I....I don't know...but I...we...CAN'T open the door!

<< she turns her head just slightly and gasps as she sees the SAME figure that her daughter sees at her house. From the thick, swelling fog, He stands at the picture window...his glowing red eyes the most visible feature about his shadow enshrouded body.>>

Christopher: Karen.....Karennnnn! You missed me, didn't you?

<< at the moment, Karen felt that she was being zeroed in on by the barrel of a gun as she looked distressed.>>

Christopher...

Christopher: OPEN UP!

<< She saw that his tattered clothes were covered in seaweed.>>

no. you're not supposed to be here!

Christopher: Time is short. Soon they will return to right the wrongs done to them. you will all regret what you celebrate....come with me, embrace the icy, watery grave in my arms.

<< Karen shakes her head...>>

I...will not! You...DON'T BELONG HERE! LEAVE THIS PLACE!

<< casting her husband out! she was at war with herself. what if he was calling out to her for HELP...but then why would he say EMBRACE the watery GRAVE with her? and who were "THEY", the ones coming for revenge, was it further confirmation of Alison's story?>>

<< after a few tense moments, a mournfull toll of the fog horn is heard as the figure slowly vanishes from view of her window, leaving only the fog which seems to drift more and dissipate a bit.>>

<< she looks at Mike. He heard everything too so she knew she wasnt crazy.>>

Alison, she said this town was cursed...

Mike's eyes widened in disbelief as he saw a figure outside, calling to Karen. It was...CHRISTOPHER??!?!??! He continued to level his gun, although he realized that it would do little good here.

There they stood, at a standoff with a watery apparition that called to Karen, only to have her reject him. As the fog horn began to mournfully wail, the figure vanished and the fog receded slightly as Mike reached out to hold Karen. She spoke of Alison and a town curse.

Curse? For what reason? What happened, Karen? What the HELL is going on?

Haleigh kept the center of gravity for the truck low... Nicolas would notice it uncharacteristically handled like a luxury sports car. She also kept cars out of their way by manipulating the traffic lights and either slowing or speeding UP other drivers to get the right timing. Nicolas kept them all from being jostled about and Haleigh assisted him by altering the responsiveness of the suspension and absorbing the bumps and dips in the road to the point that the truck would seem to glide, as if on glass. They worked in conjuction to keep it from feeling like they were screaming through town, despite the fact that in some places they were doing almost TRIPLE the speed limit.

Nicolas asked what had her so uneasy... and Haleigh hesitated. There was an actual pause in her thought patterns... as if she had gone BLANK... or perhaps she was thinking on some other level-- or compartmentalized in some way. But she returned quickly... her thoughts audible to him again but still very fast. She slowed down, glancing surreptitiously at Sharon and then looking out of the window as they arrived at his house. They all began to get out, and as they headed indoors, Haleigh slowed her thoughts to 'speak' with him again.

The G Virus... I've heard of it before.... I should have recognized the signs... I think I wanted it to be ANYTHING else and so I just plain ignored the warning flags. It's a virus that affects genetics within the body... and it also REANIMATES dead flesh.... allowing it to continue 'living'... but only in the most basic way. The government tried to harness it to create an.... undead army. The intention was to use them as pawns in place of live soldiers in missions and deployments where the death rate was extremely high.

I've SEEN what this thing does to people... dead bodies, while still DECAYING are ambulatory but they rarely do anything of purpose... they are agressive and violent, they have little or NO brain function. And in living beings.... it causes the most horrendous mutations. I'm not talking X-men, okay, I'm talking The Hills Have Eyes kind of MONSTERS.

she didn't say HOW she was so familiar with the effect of the virus, but she would if it came up in the conversation. It just wasn't something she was particularly motivated to share...

If it IS the G Virus, and there's some kind of OUTBREAK... it'll be awful, Nicolas.

She didn't much elaborate on just how bad it could get... she knew he'd get the idea.

That's why I need to speak with whoever the Mayor was talking about... the woman who'd said the LAST time this happened was more than just a freak accident. We need to figure out why she knows... WHAT she knows... amybe she can tell us something about this fog.

at Nicolas' pool house

[ Sharon moved over a bit and smiled at Haleigh, winking as the woman got in and allowed kyle's legs to stretch across his lap. As Nicolas informed her they'd be traveling fast, She nodded.]

I'm used to your stunts by now, Nicolas.

[ the woman said as she made sure Kyle was secure. off they went. Sharon watched her window intently, the fog was definately in full effect.]

[ she could HEAR more than just the foghorn, something like...a groaning or a MOANING. she thought she saw the faint outlines of human forms as well, but that couldnt be possible. they were traveling through streets and roads at such speeds and why would anyone want to be wandering about in this fog??]

[since Nicolas and Haleigh were talking telepathically, Sharon was not aware of what they were saying.]

[ soon they arrived at Nicolas' home. Sharon slide out of the truck with her son In her arms. the fog was all around them but her sonar allowed her to keep tabs on where Nicolas and Haleigh were.]

Well, this fog is everywhere it seems. I better go put Kyle to bed now before he wakes up.

[ she hurries off to the pool house, leaving Haleigh and Nicolas to go inside the main house.]

[ inside the finely furnished pool house, Sharon lay her son down, covering him and gently rubbing his forehead as he stirred a bit. she placed his favorite stuffed animal next to him which he instinctively grabbed hold of. satisfied that he was comfortable now, the woman moved through the pool house, make sure doors were locked. the fog flowed across the pool and patio area which seemed to accent its haunting but subtle glow effect.]

well...here i am. I suppose i should be able to sleep better, at least im not far out at the ocean...

[ looking toward Nicolas' main house.]

and Nicolas and his friend Haleigh are there...so I guess everything will be allright...

[ she didnt seem too convinced, as she leaned against the side of the doorway in front of the double doors. she knew she could only stand there for so long before she too would need rest. slowly she set out a few things for herself and prepared for bed. the sounds in the distance...nocturnal animals, the fog horn...they were a reminder that strageness was in the air.]

Nicolas drove quickly, staying quiet except for his telepathic conversation with Haleigh. As hey arrived, Sharon gathered Kyle and Nicolas took her things to the pool house before leaving. As he made it quickly back to the main house, Sharon heard a voice in her head. It was Nicolas, leaving a last message as he entered.

If you need me, you know how to contact me. Don't hesitate.

As Nicolas entered the house, he spoke for the first time in a while to Haleigh. he had been thinking, putting things together as he had been going along. And he was ready for answers. As Nicolas spoke to Haleigh, his voice was serious but very calm. He was not angry in the least, but he WAS earnest about figuring things out.

Haleigh, I am glad that you have come here. Your powers, your mind and the way it works, your arrival with us...incredible. Through all of this, you provide that outside influence and objectivity that this...situation requires. And our rapport...let's just say I haven't felt so alive in quite some time. But it is time to hear the entire story. Haleigh, what are you running from? And how do you know so much about a virus that existed 100 years ago as an apparently underground experiment? You have been an immense help already to all of us, and I want to help you any way I can. If you like, we can go to see Alison right after this.

Nicolas stood before her, awaiting an answer...in his earnestness, he had grasped her hand and was absentmindedly holding it as he looked into her eyes...

into the night

<< Nicolas would get more than he bargained for as he asked Haleigh to reveal her own back story and Haleigh no longer had the pleasure of being just a "stranger passing through", but everything happens for a reason it seems. Haleigh sought out Alison Marble, without knowing who she was just yet, but Nicolas knew how hostile Alison had become and this was WITHOUT knowing how she'd THROWN Delilah and Karen out of her home this afternoon. Seeing her, for ANY reason, would not be easy.>>

<< the sins of the past haunt those of the present as the fog spreads across town, causing some random power outages.>>

<< Karen is the first to have been confronted by the ghostly apparition of her husband in the fog, but now Morgan, Ava and Blaze are dealing with it at Morgan's mansion. As the figure banged at the doors and called for Morgan, the fog seemed to intensify around her mansion, some of it seeping in under the crack between the patio doors and the floor. the power in Morgan's mansion began to fluxuate as well.>>

not too far away

<< Delilah's sleep was short lived as the power in her house began to flicker and then give out completely. the fog was intense around her house as well, some of it slipping into her home in various rooms as she too was awakened by the hard , slow BANGING at one of her doors. she would find not one but THREE men standing...one of them seemed to have a large, long object in his grasp. that object was a sycthe.>>

<< Delilah would see better than most, but even she would not be able to CLEARLY make out these men, only that they were tall, eeriely silent, with glowing red eyes and tattered, seaweed covered clothing.>>

Nicolas' house and the pool house

<< there was a chill in Nicolas house...and water on the kitchen floor...water and seaweed. the puddle of water gave way to a pattern...foot prints it seemed, that lead from the kitchen, through various rooms of the house but stopped...in the dark living room. >>

<< as the fog swelled around his home, the faint rumble of thunder could be heard in the air. The pool house had been encompassed as well.>>

Haleigh said good night to Sharon, gently warning her to be careful... there was an unspoken understanding amongst them ALL that something was wrong with the fog. Nicolas took Sharon's bags and walked her to the poolhouse, while Haleigh went to the main house. She mentally checked all the locking mechanisms on the doors, windows..... ANY possible point of entry into the house. Nicolas came in and as soon as he shut the door, there was the audible, familiar 'click' of the deadbolt.

Nicolas took Haleigh's hand.... earnestly asking for an explanation. Haleigh looked at him for a moment, as if considering it.... then took a deep breath and nodded before pulling him towards the living room.... not yet spotting the footprints of water that lead out to the kitchen... there was too much on her mind.

"Okay. We should sit down."

She suggested, sitting down on the sofa, taking his hand in both of hers as he sat down next to her. There was a beat of silence... while she figured out where to start....

"The G Virus was too unpredictable to really be used the way the government wanted. It was the turn of the century, there was the birth of aviation, mass production of the car, and then later World Wars 1 and 2-- they had a lot going on and so interest in the rather unsuccessful project waned.... until 1945, the end of WW2, when a bunch of rich eggheads in New York got the bright idea to try and REFINE the virus....make it more potent, controllable or what have you. They funded their OWN research and testing and after about twenty or thirty years, they figured out that reanimating dead tissue was the LEAST fascinating thing they could do with the virus. Live test subjects, in addition to being hideously mutated and deformed, also began to exhibit enhanced strength and speed, augmented senses, and other supernatural abilities. They started calling it the "T" virus in order to distinguish it from the previous strain and reintroduced it to the government under the premise of creating a 'super soldier' of sorts."

She paused, wondering if she really wanted to get into the rest of the story... wondering how he'd take it... but it was too late to stop now... and for some reason... she trusted Nicolas.

"Well, they found that the test subjects could only play host to the virus for a short time until they either died or degenerated to the point of neccessary termination.... but some blood types, some genetic structures were better than others with the virus. SOME subjects didn't show such violent cosmetic mutations but still gained the enhancements... so they began to narrow their subject field... testing blood samples from every government employee, every blood donor.... trying to find blood that reacted with the T virus the way they wanted. Successful recipients were few and far between."

"After YEARS of searching.... there was one sample that reacted as close to perfect with the T virus as the doctors had ever seen... it mutated and was SYMBIOTIC with virus... it formed its own substrain which the doctors designated the 'T.O.'-- Techno Organic virus. It is.... the human embodiment of the T virus, in perfect synergy with the virus. [pausing to determine if he knew where this was going].... I graduated from Annapolis and served ten months as a tactical command officer in Naval Special Warfare. When I heard rumors that they were considering to grant me a field rating... I jumped at the chance.... I wasn't yet aware of what the cost would be. They sent me to New York for 'training'... and that was where they introduced me to the T virus. It was MY blood sample that had created the TO strain... I was the one they needed to advance their experiment and when I expressed reservations... they simply sedated me and infected me anyway."

"At first.... I was very sick... very weak and they put me through tests and experiments... until I thought I'd rather just die.... but when my strength and vitality began to return... I kept my wits about me... I played it down... I waited until the right moment to show them just what they'd created. Waiting proved to be instrumental... for the longer I waited... the stronger I got. When I found out that they were going to subject me to the mind control portion of testing... I knew it was time and by THEN.... escape was almost TOO easy. I don't know if they're still looking for me but I've been running ever since. the virus has made me something of a living supercomputer.... I know all of this because I can interface with any mechanical object... listen to radio transmissions.... even link to the internet.... and once I know where to look... I can find ANY information.... but when the ME told me about the G virus being a few miles from Arklay Pointe... I haven't been able to confirm that.... that's why I need to see this Alison woman."

As Nicolas sat with Haleigh, her holding his hand in hers, she TOLD him. Everything. As she spoke it seemed almost too incredible, even for someone who lived in Thunder Bay. He was touched by what the young woman had endured, could see glimpses of her time in captivity as she recalled it for him. He nodded slowly as things started to come together better as far as she was concerned: the mental speed at which she worked, the ability to locate the ship, her jumpiness in terms of staying in one place, namely Thunder Bay.

After she finished, Nicolas looked at her, just looked, his face nearly expressionless, then suddenly softening. She would feel a tingle in her hands where they touched his, then spreading up and over her body as he scanned her, sparing no part of her, almost as an involuntary action as his curiosity combined with his empathy for the young woman. Nicolas literally connected with her as he telepathically and telekinetically confirmed all that she had said and all that she was. It was a moment of incredible intimacy as Nicolas mentally made himself vulnerable, reaching out to this young woman who he had met not a day earlier.

Nicolas closed his eyes for moment, then opened them, and look back again, still saying nothing. Then he reached out, touching her face.

I am so sorry that you were used in such a way. Whatever you need, I will help you. You are welcome here for as long as you wish.

Nicolas looked into her eyes again deeply...

He was quiet for a moment. She wasn't sure if he was deciding to throw her out.... or what but soon... she began to feel a tingly sensation radiating up her arm from his hands, it spread throughout her entire body and she didn't HAVE to ask what he was doing... their minds were LINKED during the process and like a computer scanning a disc, she could read HIS mind... she tilted her head slightly, gazing at him, suddenly aware of everything he was thinking... about the fog... the virus... the tragedy with his wife... his worrying about the safety of the Mayor's daughter.... having to face Alison again... and what he was thinking about Haleigh herself.

He spoke, snapping her attention back to her own mind and her surroundings. He reached up and touched her face softly. For so strong a man.... he was very gentle. Haleigh smiled her hand going up to his, pulling it down and giving it a squeeze before she stood up and distanced herself, staring out one of the windows into the fog.

"That's sweet.... and thank you.... but I don't think I can stay. If the IS the G Virus... if there's an outbreak.... They may come here to investigate... and if they find me here... [pausing] I don't WANT to bring this fight to your doorstep.... but I'm NOT going back there, Nicolas. Whatever it takes... whatever the cost... I will do ANYTHING to get away from them. If it means I have to KILL Them.... [turning back to face him, resolved, unabashed in her conviction] then I'll kill them."

She said it so simply... as if she were talking about exterminating mice, not PEOPLE.... but she knew he would understand. She glanced around... then did a double take.

"Nicolas.... what is THAT?"

They looked like... watery FOOTPRINTS leading in from the kitchen. They hadn't been there this morning.

"Tracks? They're EVERYWHERE."

She said, passing though the hall, careful not to step in them as she went to the kitchen. She mentally called them from there. Here, in the kitchen... there's water... seaweed.... She made haste back to where he was, looking around warily.... her voice low.

"Nicolas.... are you sure we're ALONE in this house??"

Morg's place

"As long as your taco's don't mosey on over to me sweetheart, dive to your hearts content."

"I love you too, Av. But don't worry you're a little too...mm what's the word I'm looking for umm free spirited for me. Although you do have a great ass."

Winking over to her, Blaze chuckled.

"Please, he wouldn't know what to do with one of us, let alone the both of us. And because he even thought that, let alone MENTIONED that to people, he'll be lucky if he even gets a glance from me. Maybe i'll have a little fun with his brother just to piss him off."

"Ohhh come on! It would be fun, I'll place bets and everything. You know...you two could entice him and then I'll bring my video camera. We could seriously humiliate him, put a thong on him, pour some hot wax on him. Upload it up on You tube, it could be fun."

Are you kidding me?? Dwayne? << raises her PINKY finger and then curls it to indicate an obvious SHORTCOMING of the man>> he may be big in the chest, but he AINT blessed below the waist. He's not even worth a good make out session. You wouldn't be able to tell if it was "UP" or not.

Nicolas on the other hand wants to do the same thing. He doesn't have to tell me...i already know it. He's ALWAYS asking about Ava and one night i said "would you like me to TURN INTO HER? or maybe...I can just teleport her here RIGHT NOW without her clothes on." He mumbled something as i pushed his head DOWN there, but i could tell he wasn't expecting THAT response. Men are all the same....they are excited beyond restraint at the thought of two or more women, but can any of them even truly SATISFY ONE woman completely?

"Mr. Mini Me huh? I hate when the goods up in the attic are decent but suck in the basement. That's why God invented the penis pump."

Rolling her eyes, she threw her hands up into exasperation.

"Please stop...I'm getting visuals I'd rather not have of my sister."

It was such a Sex & the City moment between Morgan, Ava, and Blaze as they all gossiped about men, sex, and life in general. Yet, all that good fun would be short lived by the dense fog moving in and the bellowed knock at the door.

"Wow, that was fast, talk about your VIP treatment of a booty call."

But the knocking grew louder as the three women looked at each other. Even Tinker sensed something just as she did the previous night. Then came a familiar voice that sobered up Blaze immediately.

Christopher: Morgannnn? MORGAN! Daddy's home....open the door for daddy!

"Morgan, DON'T! Stay away from the door!"

Yet, Morgan had to play the older-protective sister by investigating it.

"Haven't you seen enough horror movies to know NOT to investigate any door. This is why all those busty-blondes die in the beginning of any movie!"

Scolded Blaze as she stood up to stand in front of Morgan protectively just as she saw Christopher. Was she really seeing this?!

"NO! Its not you!"

Morgan seemed transfixed on Christopher while Blaze was quick to be suspicious of this mirage.

Nicolas looked as she accepted his small affection, but he saw the turn as she stood, getting away from him. She looked out the window.

Nicolas stood and stepped forward. He was not willing to abandon Haleigh and he was about to speak further when she noticed the footsteps. All OVER the place. And fresh, it appeared. He turned, defensively placing her behind him.

"Nicolas.... are you sure we're ALONE in this house??"

NO. But I will get to the bottom of this. NOW.

Nicolas stepped forward to scan visually and telekinetically for ANYTHING out of the ordinary. As he did so, the walls of the house flipped outwards and pressed towards the outside, like pages of a book closing. If anything was there, it should now be in the middle of a large expanse...

:: Laughing at Blaze's comment about Ava not being her type, but still having a fine ass, Ava shrugged her one shoulder up cutely as if to say, 'I know'. With a smile, the woman continued to converse about Dwayne the personal trainer's lack of junk, it almost made Ava forget about the creepy fog..... ::

:: A loud pounding came from the front of Morgan's door, causing Ava to turn herself so she could look over her shoulder to where the door was located. ::

"Huh...maybe Nicolas caught wind of our little convo."

:: Standing along with the sisters, Ava walked with Morgan over to the door. Suddenly Morgan's DAD's voice could be heard telling her to let him in. Ava's eyes widdened with surprise. ::

"Whoaa...dead daddy at the door.."

:: Morgan moved forward to check it out and Blaze immediately stopped her. ::

"Haven't you seen enough horror movies to know NOT to investigate any door. This is why all those busty-blondes die in the beginning of any movie!"

"Yeah, and your both those things so step away from the door, Morgan."

:: Ava's eyes caught sight of the shadowed figure of what was supposed to be Morgan's dad. Grabbing both woman by the wrists, Ava began to back up, pulling them with her. ::

"I think that's our cue to leave ladies......."

what lies beneath

:: Alycia, as she appeared now, was unaffected even as the surroundings changed courtesy of her husband.::

:: she stood, wearing the same outfit she died in, a blue wrap blouse and a long, flowing black skirt...but her clothes and hair were wet, her body dripped with water and seaweed was wrapped around her at various points. her eyes...where white on white (white scholeras, pupils and irises) giving her a bizarre, yet striking look. she licked her ruby red lips::

:: her voice was haunting and flowed like the wind around Nicolas and Haleigh.::

my darling Nicolas.

It hasnt even been a year, and already you have forgotten me. Just like the people of this town have forgotten the blood and backs of those on which it was built. You are no better than them.

i came back...to warn you...but your heart no longer belongs to me. you have forgotten me as easily as you FAILED me in my former life. You will all suffer. Your deaths will be the only way to fix the WRONG that has been done...and when you die, Nicolas? I will NOT be there for you, just as you were not for ME when I died.

:: the apparition the looked upon Haleigh.::

you're not supposed to be here. but now that you are, you will suffer the fate of those you allign yourself with.

you will all suffer, just as i did when they came...and dragged me down...and did THIS

:: she reaches up wit her hands, and those perfectly manicured nails and RIPS OUT her own eyes...the sound is horrid...and from her ocular sockets, come hideous eels, and as she opens her mouth to vocalize, a large centipede like bug emerges from it as well....leaving a trail of blood as it scurrys down her body to the floor::

I hate you, Nicolas King. My spirit will not rest, until yours is separated from your body...until JUSTICE is served!

:: and with that, she vanishes, as the haunting mourn of the fog horn at Arklay Pointe tolls in the air...with only the whisper of her voice and the voices of others who sound like they belong in a different time flowing in the air around them.::

Morgan's mansion

It can't be....

<< Morgan HEARD her sister, who was right of course, but the sorceress was indeed transfixed by what she saw. It was so unbelievable, even for her being who she was and this town being more than what it seemed.>>

his voice...demonic...his eyes...he shouldnt even be ABLE to talk, his THROAT was crushed!

<< she didnt step TOO much closer to the doors as Blaze immediately rejected the apparition. Ava also was able to write it off as BAD NEWS and took Morgan and Blaze's hands, pulling them back from th e door. Morgan didnt resist. But she finally SNAPPED out of her trance when her cell phone began to rang! she jumped a bit as the three women now stood further back behind the kitchen island. She looked at her phone.>>

It's mother.

<< she answers hurridly>>

MOM?

<< << Karen on the phone>>: Morgan, honey....if someone...something is at the door, DON'T ANSWER IT! It's NOT your father. there's something in the FOG!

Morgan: then... << she said, still sounding bewildered.>> you saw him too??

Karen: yes i did...and that's NOT your father...whatever it is, REJECT HIM and do NOT open the door! Stay away from the fog!

<< Morgan shook her head...and surprised Ava and Blaze with her next step...as she pointed toward the doors where the apparition stood, still calling for her.>>

Hellspawn demon creature of death...FIRE shall take your very BREATH!

<< opening her pointed hand and then swing her arm in a circular clockwise motion, a a rushing chime sounds off as she ignites a hellfire spell on the figure...the figure BURSTS into flames, but it doesnt scream with pain, NOR does it even explode...after the spell runs it course, the figure simply vanishes with a sound of waving water.>>

It...didnt effect it...not really.

<< she looked at Ava and Blaze and then at the phone, her mother was calling her name frantically.>>

Karen: what was that sound? did you cast a spell?? are you allright??

Morgan: yes...yes i'm fine... << still seeming a bit dazed.>> mom, is mike there with you?

Karen: yes, yes he's here with me now.

Morgan: good...keep him there with you, and stay inside. call delilah, and fast! I'll call you back.

<< it HAD to be serious for Morgan to ask about MIKE of all people.the mother and daughter hung up from one another and Morgan looked at her friend and sister.>>

I dont know what came over me, it was like, suddenly...this presence, not merely my father, but this tremendous feeling of loss and even BITTERNESS washed over me. I'm NOT an empath, but there's SOMETHING in that fog, something that DRIVES it. It's not just a natural fog which is why AVA can't sense it or control it.

But my spell had no effect on...on "CHRISTOPHER". We'd better stay inside...and TOGETHER.

<< she says as she looks between the two women.>>

Let's move upstairs to higher levels....

<< tinkerbell mewed a bit as she leaped up on to the island counter.>>

Yes tink, you're coming too.

<< Morgan says as she scoops her up and all three women head through the house, walking close together as the fog seems to recede a bit from around the outside and they make their way up the stairs to higher floors of the house into Morgan's "chamber of dreams".>>

There's more to this...but WHAT? and what's going to happen tomorrow night when the town is outside for the celebration??

<< RARELY did Morgan care about "others" outside of her circle, but whatever presence that washed over her this evening when her "father" called out to her...it DEFINATEYL spooked her this evening.>>

As Nicolas challenged whoever was there to come forth, he was greeted by...ALYCIA!!!

She looked as if she had decided to go for a swim in her last outfit she ever wore, but the EYES...those eyes weren't his Alycia at all. As he looked upon her, his breath taken away in his pain, she spoke.

my darling Nicolas.

That's not true. I always stood by you. I loved you. I LOVE you. You will NEVER be forgotten.

you're not supposed to be here. but now that you are, you will suffer the fate of those you allign yourself with.

you will all suffer, just as i did when they came...and dragged me down...and did THIS

Nicolas gasped at the display of Alycia's mutilation, and Haleigh could sense the house flex as his own emotions emanated out in a wave of force.

No. NO!! That is not the ALYCIA I knew!!! What have you done with her!!! LET!!!!ALYCIA!!!!REST!!!

The fog horn was blowing and the apparition had vanished, but Nicolas was no longer the same. He rushed forward, searching for any sign of Alycia.

WHY!!! Why hurt HER. What do you want with us? LEAVE us ALONE!!

With that, Nicolas slammed his hands together, the shockwave nearly blowing the house apart. He was beside himself, and slowly losing control...
