OOC Thread 6

a quick rundown

just a quick outline for everyone:

on Mt Olympus the following characters will appear (and for once i'm NOT playing them all LOL)

Zeus
Hera
Athena
Aphrodite
Hades
Hecate
Pandora(past self)

Most of these characters will be portrayed similar to how they appear in Wonder Woman's comic.

Zeus will be a womanizer with an exceptional physique despite his "old age". Hera will be his outspoken, sometimes "clingy" wife who has no problem reigning him in when he wanders too far. Athena of course will be elegant, regal and intimidating while Aphrodite will have a "devil may care" attitude. she will want everyone to relax and have fun while Athena will dismiss most of the indulgences of her fellow gods/goddesses as a waste of time. We've already seen Hades and know what to expect from him. Hecate is the "queen bitch" of Mt. Olympus. respected for her power and the willingness to use it. She may not be the "ruler" or "king/queen" of all gods but She did what even Zeus and his brothers (Hades and Poseidon) could not..she destroyed Cronus and played a VITAL role in the current roster of gods/goddesses taking over Mt. Olympus from the titans so long ago. Hecate and Hera are NOT friends. Hera resents Hecate for the respect that she has from the male gods of olympus as well as Athena. Athena and Persephone despise each other, ever since Persephone killed her mother and another goddess, DEMETER (a carryover from her profile in MoE). Persephone and Hecate are close friends...like sisters...but Hecate makes it no secret her seething contempt toward Zeus for his role in forcing Persephone to marry Hades (since Hades and Hecate were supposed to have been betrothed) and now Hecate regards Hades with a dim view as well for being all too eager to take Persephone as his bride and attempt to subjugate her. Zeus is the most short sighted of them all. he thinks his position as "god of thunder and king of all gods" will endure forever. He is too besotted with himself and his roving sexual escapades to care about much else. the other gods and goddesses will have varying degress of awareness and perception with Athena being the strongest in that followed by Hecate who will see through the "deception" that Persephone is attempting to pull with the Six (that will be played out in detail so i wont go into that here)

Pandora is, of course, a cast off. she was once a "pet project" of the goddesses (athena, aphrodite, artemis and demeter. Hecate was not interesed in being involved with this). Since her legendary fall from grace, she found a friend in Persephone and has appeared in every timeline that Persephone has been through. Currently she is being held captive in the Six's reality on Circe's Isle of Aerie.

But one more question about that: So in THIS story, Demeter is Athena's mother, not Persephone's? Or Persephone killed her own mother? If so, then why does that make Athena hate her? Just because she was another of the gods?

Demeter was PERSEPHONE'S mother. Athena and Demeter were good friends, like sisters and so her murder was particularly upsetting to Athena, and just like in the WW comics and in mythology, Persephone is regarded by the "lighter/good" gods/goddesses as a prima donna and a trouble maker. Athena spear heads that campaign now after Demeter's death. more will be revealed as the story goes on.
 
Hey guys. I just want to apologize for holding everyone up. The SG server has blocked my IP and I can't access the board at all anymore. I tried contacting my internet provider, and surprise surprise, they couldn't help. With Vil's (and her friends) help, I was able to get on through an IP blocker site. These sites are weird (i've tried many) so sometimes they'll let me sign on but not post, other times they won't even let me sign on. It's not the most reliable source to get on right now, but it'll have to do for now.If these IP blocker sites continue to be bitches, until this problem is fixed, i'll be emailing Vil and having her post under my account for me so I don't hold the game up.Again I apologize for all this. I know it can be annoying waiting on someone to post in the middle of a storyline. Especially since it's mine. lol. I'll try my best to fix this problem ASAP.
 
You are not alone in this. The SG site blocks my work IP, and I think it USED to block home. Luckily, I won't be working there much longer...but it's a crap shoot getting on except from my house, which seems more reliable now.
 
dont worry sammi, i knew something was wrong. im TRYING to get with dan so we can get this board MOVED or whatever we need to do so NONE of us has to go through this crap.

as long as no one has given up, cause i certainly havent and i cant wait to continue with EVERYONE involved :nod:
 
what im going to do is have oracle split everyone up so we can get some action going. so EVERYONE please check here by tomorrow and we should be able to move on a little bit.
 
I actually fund a reliable IP adress thing that gets me on. And i poisted too. just to let you know.
 
oh great :) i felt bad that you werent able to get on and i didnt want the others to think that we had STOPPED completely.

it was just a case of me getting a little nervous and worried that the players would bail on the game.

glad to have you back :nod: we can proceed with things as we planned.

Sorry... that just seemed comical. I blame lack of sleep that preceeded a long day. I'm totally going to lay down now. :p

Anyways, yall dont sweat it, we're patient. It'll all fall into place when the time is right. Good luck fixing those server issues Sam.
 
hey guys, sorry ive been MIA. I went out of town one a last minute thing and when I came to post that i was leaving, ya'll were moving servers so. :p

Yeah.... I have to work tonight but ill try to catch up and post after, if not then I will in the morning.
 
I just want the story to be over lol... I LOOOOOVE this storyline but I want to get back in the thick of everything!

But I dont know if I told anyone but Farrah but I am finally all moved into my apartment in my NEW State! Yes!

Now I live in Eugene Oregon lol... it's great and beautiful!
 
let's not get TOO ahead folks. we still need to wait for Hera to post to Hecate at the very least before things go all out.
