nice move on persephone's part btw in dealing with Malice's assault on the club. i like the way she's handling herself against her first foe in The Six.

Malice has a deep seated dislike for Blaze and Nicolas, so she's using the fact that SHE is not under malice's scrutiny to her advantage.
 
a bit of downtime

the boards were down for a day or two because of upgrades. we are now on Vb 3.6 :D

a couple of posts i had made in the current playing thread were lost, however: Rampage, Persephone and Morningstar can all post anytime now. :nod:

ill carry us on once you have posted ( if you need any ideas: you can respond to Alison berating Blaze, or the fact that damage control has finished up )

ATTENTION MEMBERS:

it has come to my attention that some characters MIGHT be "overstepping" their power descriptions.

i received a PM from a player in this game complaining about another player's actions in a current playing thread.

without naming names, i just want to let you know that i CAN tell when posts have been edited and that if someone wants to add/change a character's powers they should just PM me first as a courtesy to let me know what they want to do and why. do NOT just add on powers that were not originally apart of your character! especially if they are not congruent with the character's nature and history and will not make sense in comparison to the other powers.

this isnt charmed boards or other places where the moderators of an rpg "god mod" everything and the characters in the six DO have high end power bases, HOWEVER- whatever powers each have given your character- it is my duty as the mastrix to TEST your creativity and accurate use of them.

ALSO, please remember that no character in this game is ALL POWERFULL. characters can be hurt, and/or KILLED. it has happened before and may happen again. Known when to take your hits and do not shrug off attacks that are properly placed.

I try to set up scenarios that are challenging yet FAIR and there's always a solution if you are creative enough to find it. Sometimes I will make it so you CANT get out of a situation but only because its leading to something else.

Everyone has been doing well so far but like i said, a recent situation has prompted this message from me to all of you. any comments or feedback can be placed here.
 
well, i posted a lead-in... and a good reason why Haleigh has been absent from the current struggle.

I'm going to bed... but in the morning I'll bring Haleigh back to illustra... would you like her to go to the battle scene or are you all about to retreat back to Illustra?
 
it was an excellent post, foreshadowing future events involving Persephone, Alycia and Stavros!


you can have Haleigh return to Illustra, noting the storm and that hardly anyone is home. the others will be arriving soon, due to an unexpected turn in the battle and Morgan is about to "come around" as well ;)
 
Rampage's recent post

a very clever move in your latest post, Rampage but i was hoping for more "substance" in his overall response too. Nicolas' posts prior to being attacked by the dire wraiths were usually well thought out and substantial, i always looked forward to reading them. the last two posts he's made have been rather flat. what's going on?

we had a discussion via PM about some things protaining to Nicolas and as I explained to you, sometimes any given character will be raked across the coals in this game...every player (past and present) has gone through it so you can't take it personal and i hope that is not the reason for your "pulling back" with Nicolas' posts. You shouldnt feel like you've done something wrong..because if you have, I'll let you know and i'll suggest how to fix it.

he could have offered more reaction to Malice AND the situation they were in and just remember, sometimes the actions that any character may take are not always going to work.

that depends in part on how you post, and also on other circumstances.

Nicolas has power, we can read that in the bio, but the more he acts like he can get out of every situation..the more i'm going to "test" him.

don't worry, "Cameron" , "Haleigh", "Blaze" , "Morgan" and "Alison" have all gone through it as well in some way.
 
No issues, Spell, the last couple of posts were a bit rushed on my part, for one. The other thing is I have him trying hard (maybe too had) to be ready, to react rather than emote. He has noted that emotion has gotten him in enough trouble already. I realize that it flattens the post out a bit and I will address his lack of emotion as we go along.
But the post's brevity was somewhat planned. (Maybe too well planned?) Trust me, I will keep the lines of communication open to you, that's how we do it!
Everything is cool.
 
Attention

So, ive heard from Brandon (Prophet). He has expressed a desire to return to The Six but there'll be some critical changes to his character which will be unveiled in the current storyline.

I just wanted to let you all know. More details will be revealed as the storyline goes on.


Everything is going well so far and everyone is doing pretty well. :nod: i hope you are are enjoying yourselves. It's great to have Rampage in the fray with us and I'm glad the rest of you have remained!
 
Hey guys :) We're striking the stage this week at work, so it's my busy time again. Saturday is our last day though and then I'll be yet again gainfully unemployed. I'm doing my best to keep up but I wanted to let you all know.

So work is over for me now but unfortuneately I've been really sick this week - I should be back posting now though, assuming I don't die of pneumonia lol.
