on Aerie: Haleigh's compound -- dining hall

Nicolas called for them, telling them the food was ready. Haleigh was grateful for the distraction, and she started for the dining hall immediately, beckoning Blaze to follow again.

"Let's eat, shall we?"

Haleigh and Blaze approached Nicolas as he sat down to check his laptop... and gasped. Haleigh forgot her hunger, her brow furrowing, as she walked up behind where Nicolas sat, resting her hand on his shoulder.

"Nicolas-- [pausing as the ground began to pulsate] darling, what is it, what's the matter?"

She asked, stooping over him, her other hand resting on the ledge of the table, her face lowering to stop just next to his as she read what he was looking at.

"Oh, no.... Nic..... [giving his shoulder a soft squeeze] I'm so sorry."

The quaking grew stronger still.... The dishes were rattling and a couple fell out of the cabinets and shattered. Haleigh mentally held the metal-framed glass cabinets shut as she rested her chin on Nicolas' shoulder, wrapping her arms around him, pulling him into a hug from behind.

"Nicolas? Take a deep breath, honey. Calm down.... we'll find out who did this.... We'll get them."

...it was an accident...the stepping discs began opening up all around Aerie at random because i was suffering from a crippling, painfull migraine

"Crippling migraines? Crippling....migraines? [Ava's eyes began to fill with tears as her body trembled in anger.] Try having your head drilled into with POWER TOOLS when you're strapped to a bed, conscious.... Or being injected with liquids that make your flesh slowly burn away for days. Or how about just out right being humiliated by men who stand there taunting you when you laying naked on a medical bed waiting to be poke and prodded for another SEVEN HOURS! How about THEN, Morgan?! When you FEEL those things, when you FEEL so horribly that you would rather DIE than spend another moment enduring it, THEN you can come to me and tell me how I should feel sorry for you and your crippling migraines!"

:: Morgan went on to assure Ava that the six went through multiple timelines to try and rescue them. That in limbo all space and time was different. Ava knew this beccause of Darkchilde...but every emotion she had felt the past few months just came pouring out in the form of anger at Morgan. ::

if you MUST blame someone, then blame ME.

"I DO BLAME YOU! You're an emotional wreck who couldn't handle dealing with your loss of fame and fortune in the 'real world' that you had a breakdown and sent us into a timeline where we were treated like LAB RATS! So don't you DARE stand there acting remorseful and offering your help! As far as i'm concerned you and your help can go straight to HELL!"

:: A loud crash of thunder shook Barbara Minerva's estate, sending a tremor throughout the eastern coast of Athens. Ava stood there, looking at Morgan with such anger it seemed...but under it all, Morgan would also see that Ava wasn't anger at HER, but just angry at what had happened. She wanted to blame SOMEONE....she wanted to gain some sort of power back after being powerfless for so long. She needed to just yell, and unfortunately, Morgan was the easiest person to target. ::

As Nicolas grieved and fumed, he cold notice a pair of arms holding him. It was Haleigh, who wa strying her best to calm the mutant down. he finally noticed what he wa doing unwittingly and the pounding subsided, but he was no less upset. He hugged Haleigh back, silently thanking her for her concern.

He then stood, and looked at the dishes that had broken. They lifted up to the counter, complete and good as new. He turned to face Haleigh, his countenance darkened into an angry scowl.

Yes Haleigh, we will indeed get them. I am sorry ladies, but I must take my leave of you. I am afraid that right now I am not very good company.

Nicolas stepped back as his light-colored linen suit began to BLEED black and gray colors, as it changed into a more formal suit and his characteristic duster for when he was set to battle. He lifted his hand and his axe came screaming toward it from across the island, colliding with a loud smack as he closed his grip around it. He spun it and them hostered it on his back as he turned, set to leave...

The tremors slowly faded, as Nicolas returned her embrace. Haleigh was sorry for him... she knew Magnuss was a good friend to Nicolas, and she knew Nicolas must feel somewhat responsible for naming Magnuss the successor of his company...

Nicolas stood, rising above Haleigh and pulling out of her arms, and Haleigh instinctly took a step back to give him a little more space, and gave him a gentle look of solace. But Nic's face turned dark... his clothing changed... his axe appeared, and he told them that he was leaving.

"Nic, no.... [as he turned to leave she reached out and grabbed him by the crook of his elbow] Nicolas STOP."

Thunder sounded in the distance.... Haleigh glanced in its direction, knowing that there were no other signs of a storm and that it came from the direction of Minerva's mansion. Status quo had changed again... the time for rest, it seemed, had passed.

"I said WE will get them. You're NOT going to just go galavanting off into the night, half-cocked. I'll get dressed, [grabbing a pastry or two and a bowl of fruit] we'll go to Minerva's and check on my sister, we'll TELL Morgan what we're up to and then, after we figure out WHAT we're going to do and WHO to do it to, WE will leave together. We'll NOT be making rash decisions or acting without thinking. That's how one gets themselves killed or WORSE. No.... you won't be doing Magnuss any justice by running around all willy nilly on an emotive rampage, getting yourself noticed. You want to avenge his death? You do it the smart way."

Minerva's mansion- the suite

<< Spellbinder stood tall as Ava snapped on her. the words were cutting, the thunder underscored it. If this had been Haleigh, Morgan might have had the impulse to SMACK her...TWICE :D and then another catfight wouldve ensued surely.>>

<< however, as hurtfull as it was, Karen had ALREADY prepared Morgan, Nicolas, Haleigh, Mike and Delilah by explaining to them the stages of adjustment that victims of trauma go through...given what lead up to the nightmare, and everything related, it was only to be expected. Morgan looked at Ava unwaveringly. Ava and and Alison had endured so much and as team leader, Morgan ALREADY felt the responsibility was her burden, she took Ava's words...and even if Ava was only having what her mother would call "an adjustment reaction", Even if it wasnt as cut and dry as Ava had put it, Morgan knew there was some truth to it...no matter how small.>>

....yes, I was not handling our new situation very well but i'm not here to offer excuses and I'm not afraid to OWN the blame or the fault. I can't begin to fathom the depth of your nightmare...and I am hard pressed to forgive MYSELF for even unwittingly causing it. But now, no matter how much i WANT to, I CAN'T change what has occurred...so I'm doing what i SHOULD be doing as team leader, and as your FRIEND, whether you believe ...whether you REMEMBER that right now or not.

You're safe now, you're on the road to recovery...it will not be easy...but I'm here to do what i can to help you, whether you like it or not.

It's late, the others are on Aerie, but you're staying here until your vitals restabilize and return to the levels they were on this earth. My mother and I will be here with you and Alison 24 hours a day. It's the least that I can do.

<< If Ava wanted to scream at Morgan some more, she could. Morgan was ready. THis was the bitter side of being "leader"...to take the fallout from things that could arguably be laid at her door step. she had no words to counter , NOR should she...considering what Ava and Alison had endured. But all Morgan REALLY cared about in her heart was that the two were SAVED, ALIVE and back where they belonged. She'd go through the 9 circles of HELL to make sure any one of her family was safe.>>

Minerva's Mansion- the suite

<< the doctor slept...her own dreams were filled with ghost images, fleeting moments that seemed to be pieces of real memories and fantasies combined. the sound from the waves of the ocean below the rocky plateau outside were suddenly drowned out by the blast of THUNDER. It jolted the doctor awake.>>

oh my stars!

<< she gasps with her hand on her chest, bolting up. she sees Morgan standing , facing an awake and mobile Ava! they're near Alison's bed with Ava screaming at Morgan. Karen gets up, but not rushing over. She already anticipated a moment like this, and maybe MORE in the near future. Ava meant no harm or danger...she was upset, she was reeling from the enormous reality of it all.>>

<< But despite that, the woman WAS in recovery, and Karen would HAVE to insist she go back to bed and have a light , routine check up.>>

Allright, this discussion can continue, but with you back in bed Ava.

<< Karen spoke warm and calm, but leaving no room for rebuttal in her tone as she gently escorted Ava back to her bed.>>

I'll have an elixir brought up for you that will help your body continue to stabilize. you musn't over do it too quickly. You ARE safe now...and nothing like that is going to happen to you again...I assure you, that the medical staff will not look as "antiseptic" as they did earlier.

<< she looked back at Morgan, who looked rather stone faced. she winked at her daughter without Ava seeing.>>

it's allright honey. you did well. Ava's doing what i expected she would...she's still frightened, and understandibly so.

I'll call for Haleigh as well. She'll want to see you now that you're awake. She was here with us the entire time until I ordered her to bed for her own wellbeing. I'm sure Nicolas can bring her along quickly.

<< to date, Morgan and Karen were both unaware that Firebird, the alternate timeline Blaze was here OR that Nicolas had just learned of the death of his father's friend and long time business partner.>>

Wilderness of Aerie

Mike had done a quick recon of the area surrounding his "base camp" It was crawling with things that would love to have him for lunch, things he currently dared not get too close to. he returned to the camp, having secured some dried wood for a fire. As he started the fire he gatghered his water and made sure to note to keep his weapons close to him: his utility baton, a survival knife, and a sword that Nicolas had given him. He also had a compound bow and several arrows available in the tent. As he pondered his next move, he heard the thunder in the distance.

Hmph. Sounds like Ava is up. Well, I planned on visiting Doc tonight anyway.

Mike sets his equipment and provisions in a carefully selected tree, a procees that takes half an hour easliy. He is sweating from exertion as he starts a ritual that will have to occur each time he departs for somewhere.

Mike then starts out to his old home, planning to use the boat there to travel to Minerva's Island...

"I don't need your help. I'm fine."

:: Respoinding to Morgan's reassurence that everyone would be here for herself and Alison during their time of recovery. ::

"Just take care of Alison."

:: Morgan calmly took Ava's sharpness and anger toward her...obviously knowing it wasn't intentional. In order to cope with everything, Ava simply reverted back to the cold and distant woman the six had first met in Limbo. ::

:: Shifting her eyes to Karen as she finally woke, immediately the doctor stood from her chair and ushered Ava back to her bed. ::

"I said i'm fine."

:: Pulling away from Karen, Ava sat on the edge of her bed and leaned forward, cupping her hands over her face in an effort to calm down from her outburst. She felt like she was in overdrive...similiar to the aftermath of long battle. Everything ached and her head felt like it was splitting open. Finally pulling her feet up off the ground, Ava laid back down. Positioned on her back, she rolled her head away from Karen and Morgan to look out the window and think. ::

into the night

<< at that moment, just as Karen had put Ava back to bed, the doctor directed her daughter to contact Haleigh. Just as Haleigh was preventing Nicolas from rushing off toward the unknown, the channel of communication between the Minerva's Mansion off the coast of Greece and Haleigh's compound on Aerie began to sound off.>>

Spellbinder said:
: Haleigh, to Minerva's Mansion please. Ava is awake. Also....please ask Nicolas and Delilah to come to the mansion as well. There's something I need to discuss with everyone.

<< Morgan planned on discussing the roster of the six, and changes that would have to be made for the time being. SHe was still not yet aware that Firebird was in their timeline, but Firebird would be brought along for the trip to the mansion as well it seemed. Even Mike was on his way, but he would not arrive as quickly as the others. >>

Meanwhile

<< across the oceans, stateside, New York City. The HELLFIRE CLUB.>>

<< several hours have passed and Diana is in her posh bed chamber, preparing for an evening out. after a couple hours of intense long range scans, she finally was able to confirm that this powerfull, yet elusive "presence" was in fact IN the city and was located in the PARTHENON hotel of all places. The Parthenon Hotel was widely believed to still be owned by Cameron King, NOT Alison Marble and so it had not been touched. It operated, FLOURISED in fact in recent months as the attitudes towards mutants and metahumans softened across the board and the mystery of Alison and her brother brother both lured costumers. High rollers and celebs continued to use the posh hotel and now, this "presence" this PERSON was in residence there. Hellfire operatives confirmed a high level buzz around the city about a "sexy chanteuse" that would be performing at the Moonlight Lounge within the Parthenon and since many social heavy hitters from the fashion, entertainment and music circuit would be there, along with the high end clients, Malice knew this was the perfect opportunity. There would be many hellfire club members in attendance though their affiliation with the club was secret, much like the Masons. >>

<< it appears that the Six wouldnt be the only ones engaging in meetings this evening.>>

<< there was much more to see, learn and discover.>>

The Hellfire Club

:: Malice had a slight headache. between that fericious last battle in the previous timeline, fighting against Nicolas, using her powers to control Haleigh, so many things at once, even SHE had her limits. As powerfull and as seasoned as she was, she was still HUMAN.::

:: She was back "home", but she wondered if she'd faltered in judgement by carrying the alternate Helena back. While the alternate Red Queen was more powerfull than her mainstream counterpart...she was not nearly as refined, as calculating...as LOYAL. Would she be more of a hinderence? Malice HATED that she even had to ponder such a thing, but if she pondered it too much longer, she might end up killing this Helena and being done with it all together. The White Queen would brook no insolence...not from someone who thus far had not pulled her own weight.::

foolish woman. Haleigh has survived Doctors Chandler and Victory, that bumbling witch Kelly King, Inferno, Super Soldier, Master Mold....even ME. Does Helena REALLY THINK that her narrowminded obsession with revenge on Haleigh is going to further her agenda or OURS for that matter?

:: Diana spoke with contempt as she admired herself in her perfectly designed three way vanity, adding the finishing touches to her hair.::

:: she wore sexy white, long sleeved, fitted, Calvin Klein mini dress. on one of wrists a stunning, blue/white diamond bracelent to match the tear drop earrings. bare legged, she stood on gucci white high heeled shoes. her eye make up and lipstick had a shimmering "icy" tone to it, it would work for her whether she was in diamond form or not. a chamber maid in a sexy 18th century inspired costume quickly attended the white queen as she continued to primp and pose in the mirror.::

I have no time for her bratty self absorbtion. I am going to pick up where i left off...BEFORE i got side tracked by that little "THING" called Mystech.

:: basically sweeping that entire era and the MEN therein under the rug of obscurity.::

the hellfire club can be as pervasive, as influential, as deadly as any political or celebrity entity and its time to get back to that. before the six can be CRUSHED, they have to be drawn out into the open. One step at a time...not impulsive, not foolish, and not misplaced.

:: Malice spoke with a cool, collective, slightly reflective tone. she realized that she had NARROWLY gained a second chance, even if it was by destroying te mind and consciousness of her own alternate. but she wasnt ABOUT to squander that chance, especially now that she was back. If Helena wanted to be foolish, SHE'D get swept away just as the Lords Cardinal the black king and white king and even the black rook had. The White Queen was as deadly and implacable as anyone and she had the POWER to proove it.::

:: to the chamber maid:: bring me the white versace trench. I will wear that out and have the driver bring the Rolls around. I will be traveling solo this evening. My destination is the Parthenon.

:: Diana was not concerned about not having an invitation or reservation. she'd use her psi powers to compell the staff to accomodate her.::

:: and soon, she made her way from her bed chambers down to the public areas of the hellfire mansion...waiting for the rolls to come around.::

Nicolas froze as Haleigh held his arm. Her touch was incredibly soft for someone known for her hardness. He turned to face her, his face angry and hurt as he listened to her speech. As sh espoke, he realized that he was NOT alone in this, that she was a hurt FOR him as he was himself hurt by the situation. He was about to respond to her when Morgan cam eover the comunicators, telling them all that Ava was up. He reached out and grabbed Haleigh, then Blaze, smiling mischievously as he tried to put on a brave face.

Ladies I know there are easier ways to do this, but if you don't mind, I NEED this right now.

And Nicolas flexed the ground beneath him and jumped, propelling himself towards Minerva' s compound. As the began to fall to the sea, he decided to show them a neat trick he had learned goofing around. Nicolas strengthened the bond between molecules of the water, increasing the surface tension so that he landed ON the water, then propelled forward the rest of the way to the island, landing at the steps of the mansion. a guard, startled by their arrival, accosted them immediately.

Halt!! Identi-

NOT TONIGHT, buddy. You DO NOT want any TONIGHT. Follow me ladies. I know the way.

Nicolas walked past the guard, who presumably realized who they were, into the mansion...

Haleigh's compound

Haleigh's straight-forward words struck the fire elemental like a bullet through the chest. She slowly retracted her hand to mull over the blonde's words. Unfortunately, Blaze didn't know this Haleigh or what she had been through. A quick reality check for Firebird who knew the mainstreams and alternates shared a few stark contrasts. Like herself and mainstream Blaze. Folding her arms across her ample chest to protest herself from Haleigh's honest words. Blaze always relied on her raw emotions that were incredibly passionate like the woman. But, deep down even she knew Haleigh spoke the truth. Blaze couldn't continue to be delusional in this timeline. These were not her teammates, Morgan was not her sister, and this Haleigh was different.

Haleigh's request to follow her caused her brow to arch in curiosity. Climbing to her feet she followed after Haleigh. Her stiletto boots clicked softly as she strolled behind the hybrid until they stopped by the open. Eagerly, her sage-green eyes took in the new environment as Haleigh provided a harsh wake up call for the brunette. In an odd way it was most likely Haleigh's way of showing the woman the reality of what she had literally fell into. There was no fashion, no models, no shopping plazas, no spas, nothing but mother nature. Even Blaze wasn't all glamour there was still that free spirit enraptured under the flickering flames.

"I see it but what am I looking at?" She inquired but soon would be given the answer. The Six had been exiled? Blaze had missed a lot including what the team went through, including Haleigh. Turning her gaze onto the petite blonde, Blaze peered deeply into her soul. There was much to learn about this Haleigh. She was very much an enigma, buried under layers of allure and mystery. But, as she paused, Blaze could see she was hesitant to allow her in for fear of having the fire elemental ripped away.

"No worries, love. But your right in the end. Anything can happen to any of us. I can understand your logic behind your madness." Winking to her, Blaze flashed a smile to try and lighten the melancholy mood. "There's a lot that I don't know about you but as I said I hope that maybe one day you'll let me in. I know all too well the demons that haunt people, I've shared a few myself. I'm just saying that if you ever need someone I'll be here, if you decide to take that leap of faith." Blaze wasn't pressuring her she was just honest in her approach.

Nicolas' raspy voice bellowed out just in time, causing Blaze to sigh with relief. Brilliant timing, Nic. Although, Blaze hardly had much of an appetite. Her mind was still registering what Haleigh had told her. Turning to head back inside, Blaze's svelte form stumbled back as she looked around. "I suddenly feel like I'm in California." She hadn't expected to get earthquakes here, unaware that it was Nicolas' distraught feelings triggering his powers. Moving to sink down onto the nearby chair to peer around the room seeing the dishes rattling. Her own heartbeat sped up until Haleigh's voice cut through the silence.

Twisting her neck to see the blonde comfort Nicolas, filling in the pieces that he was obviously distraught over something. What it was she didn't know but she also didn't inquire either. Looking down at the bowl of fruit, Blaze in a way felt like Persephone when she first joined, an outcast. The team was bonded by a few rapports and friendships. Blaze just dropped in between it. Yet, under her cloud of gloom she had to be optimistic if she was to prove herself to this team. Her concern was evident along her feminine features for her friend. Her mind gently nudged him utilizing her own thoughts, knowing he could read them. What's wrong, sweets?

But as Nicolas hastily got to his feet with his clothing changed, Firebird could spot the menacing look of revenge through his eyes. The thunder off in the distance clapped loudly causing the fire elemental to jump at its power. Morgan maybe or something else. Haleigh bolted to grab Nicolas by the arm as Blaze stood up to block his path. Both hands reached out to massage his tense shoulders, "I know I didn't just DROP IN here for nothing! I'm coming with the both of you too. Nobody hurts my Hershey Kiss and gets away with it." Another smirk fell on her lips before she pulled him into a tender hug like Haleigh had. "They say I'm the impulsive one." Cracking a jest at her own hotheadedness.

Morgan's voice reverberated through Haleigh's compound. Oh dear, she would have to face her sister sometime. Now was as good a chance as any as Nicolas lead them to Minerva's compound with his powers. Coiling both arms around herself and Haleigh as she laughed, "Whatever floats ya boat, handsome." Blaze had no objections as they were propelled into the air. Landing on the water, Blaze's features lit up, "I can see why my sister loves you." Chuckling at her own joke as they were brought to the mansion where the guard tried to interject.

Blaze followed Nicolas and Haleigh as they both lead the way. Blaze on the other hand had never been here as she took in another new scenery.

NYC- The Parthenon

<< at the Parthenon, it was business as usual. The hotel had taken a hit during the fall out six months ago...but Alison, in her foresight had left specific protocals to protect the livelyhood of this hotel and they paid off. The place was thriving. Luxe and Posh as ever. >>

<< a place for the bold and the beautifull, the Parthenon was a respectcable venue of entertainment as well as a five star, five diamond hotel. >>

<< this evening, there was a strong buzz around town about a sexy, sultry chanteuse that was to be giving an "intimate show" within the Parthenon's Moonlight Lounge. the woman was drawing attention among the "beautifull" crowd ever since she had arrived in NYC and taken up residence in the diamond presidential suite of the Parthenon. the most expensive suite in the house in the top of the CENTER tower with an INDETERMINED checkout date. She seemed to be well connected with many celebrities and other socilates around the city. She oozed intrigue and mystery but would not allow ANYONE access to her in the suite. They saw her when SHE wanted them to see her in public.>>

<< this woman was a source of intrigue but only the high end part of society knew a little something about her. for the rest...she truly was "the new girl"...possibly the woman Malice had detected. Unknown to anyone as of yet, This was in fact the woman who had murdered Magnuss Samuelson and was now in control of 40 % of the shares of Nicolas' company. >>

<< tonight though, this new stranger in town would unviel one of her talents, that of being a sultry singer.>>

<< While Nicolas' heart ached and the others struggled to help Alison and Ava recover, there was at least ONE person that was enjoying the night like a bird of prey.>>

"Even I can admit when i'm wrong."

Helena stated as she walked up behind Malice who was dressed to the nines and waiting for her car to pull up. Wearing a halter styled fitted crimson red cocktail dress that rested slightly above the knee, a darker shade of crimson leather jacket of the same length remained open, revealing the outfit. Matching red pumps and a clutch purse finished off the metamorphs look.

"Which isn't very often I might add."

Helena added last minute. She knew this vendetta against Haleigh was childish and tirival, but it just annoyed her to no end that that CHILD had the last laugh during their last encounter.

"Regardless, i'll backburn my vendetta against Haleigh...for now. Until then, i'm sure you'd be pleased to know that a little birdy told me this mysterious person--who is a SHE I might add--has been putting on quite the show at the parthenon hotel. She seems to have connections to the 'higher ups' around New York. [seeing the car pull up, Helena stepped forward with Diana] Have you managed to 'sense' anything about her yet?"

Helena may very well be vain and selfish, but when it comes to power, she'd let bygones be bygones and get down to buisness.

the night belongs to her.

[ having arrived in NYC, nothing but the BEST would do. and given her target, her PREY, it only made sense to follow in the path that he was connected to. The Parthenon, a luxury jewel in the hospitality as well as the entertainment industry. It would suffice. ;) ]

[ She arrived, with several doorman struggling behind her, carrying her luggage. checking in, she presented herself with a cool, icy, polished demeanor. speaking with clarity and a professional edge. she presented the intimidated guest service attendant with a platinum card, it identified her as the newest "high roller" of the hotel. she walks with confidence and pose, jimmy choo stillettos carry her with the grace of a super model and she regards those around her with elegant disdain as she repaired to her diamond presidential suite.]

[ the hotel had been abuzz about her. she was very polite, but not without a tone of disdain about her. they couldnt tell if she was "old" money or "new" money...some THOUGHT they recognized her face from somewhere, but only the jet set could possibly have seen her on the french riviera, monte carlo or some other glamorous, far away place.]

[ after several days of private hob knobs and business inquiries, the mysterious woman had been a fixture at some high profile events including an album listening party for Madonna's "Hard Candy", a fund raiser for an overseas AIDS charity AND a stop at XS where mingled with the likes of Diddy, Donald Trump etc. WHO WAS SHE? was what so many people asked. She interacted with them as though she'd been BORN into their realm but no one could really place her!]

[ tonight it wouldnt matter, she would "ARRIVE", although it would be a small "intimate" affair more to her liking, performing with a noted jazz pianist with live accompaniment from strings and precussion as she gave an elegant, yet sexy and sultry performance in the Moonlight Lounge of the Parthenon. This was clearly NOT designed for the "bling" crowd, although a few music moguls with more diverse tastes like L.A. Ried , Jill Scott and Diddy were in attendance...other celebs in attendance included Diahann Carroll ;) and many more. ]

Announcer: Ladies and Gentleman, it is with great pleasure that i welcome you to this evening's event, a night of smooth music, sultry sounds and a comfortable intimate setting, as decreed by our woman of the evening. Without any further delay, I give you, Ms. Dominique Deveraux!

[ the lights dim and the applause quiets and soon is silent, as the pianist begins to play, before being backed by the rest of the set. Dominique steps forward as the light shifts to herald her arrival onto the center stage. the statuesque women is drapped in a figure flattering gown designed by Carolina Herrera, her hair pulled back into a sleek, glossed bun and her make up is flawless, with special care paid to her eyes, those striking blue eyes accented by the smokey eye make up.]

[ she opens her performance with a tender, yet feeling cover of Vanessa L. Williams' ( ;) ) hit classic Just for tonight. she moves out onto the catwalk from the center circular stage, reaching out to the audience, as she soothes them with her bell like purity in voice.]

[ as she finishes and pulls back, the audience respondes with a strong applause, whistles and cheers. the announcer mustve anticipated Dominique trying to leave because he implored her for one more song....as the audience signals its agreement with the announcer, there is more than a delayed response from Dominique as she turns and sees a woman in white among the crowd....sitting further back, at a table by herself. the woman looks on knowingly, as if she's making direct, personal EYE CONTACT. and WHO IS SHE? the woman in white is clapping as well...]

[ after a few moments, and inspite of a mild flash of irritation, Dominique returns to the center stage and she obliged. she appeared on the stage, sitting/drapped over the piano with poise and confidence as the lights dimmed and the clapping ceased. the lighting then shifts to draw the right attention to her. she looks up. her sparkling blue eyes are enchanting and as holds the mic like it was her talisman, she opens her mouth and begins to captivate the crowd with her voice. beautifull sultry voice with clarity and a lilt yet there was seasoned strength behind it as she does a soulfull and loyal cover of Chaka Khan's End of a love affair. as the song progresses, she slides off of the piano and moves around the stage, which is in the center of the lounge and slowly revolves, allowing her to address and "make love" to every part of her audience. the right moves, the right turns, a gesture here and there. the song builds, as does her voice as she stands tall and tilts her head back. Backed by her pianist and other live backers, She takes the audience on a journey and anyone who has ever known love and lost it ...can FEEL it , some women (and perhaps a few men) feel misty eyed from nostalgia of lost loves. as the song winds down and comes to a close...she holds the ending note , bows her head and the lights fade to black around her.]

[ and with that, Dominique has completed her set, leaving the crowd wanting more, as she does with most that she deals with. She's gone, leaving the a listers to hob knob in the crystal room or the moonlight lounge of the parthenon. the bubbly flows, the evening carries on...with more buzz...and among other things...everyone asking "WHO IS SHE?"]

[ well there's ONE person who will soon find out...much to his PAINFULL regret.]

NYC- the parthenon

DESPITE the fact that we both will annoy each other due to our natures. WE will serve each other BETTER by working TOGETHER. "team work" works for the wretched Six, we may as well borrow a leaf from them in order to BURY THEM SIX FEET UNDER... :: having a goblet of Dom P. champagne as they rode along:: and there's no reason why we can't have FUN as we extend our web of domination now is there?

:: Helena ultimately joined Diana after all. the two women rode in the rolls and arrived at the Parthenon.::

This place is THRIVING....We'll have to establish an account here. Won't THAT put a bee in Alison and Morgan's little bonnets. Keep your friends close..and you're enemies CLOSER.

:: as they were escorted out by their attendant, Diana took in Helena's information. Very well timed.:

the arrival of a mysterious, high profile woman several days ago, some of the memebers spoke of her at one of our weekly hellfire meetings. that woman and the one your sources confirm must be one in the same. my scans only confirm that she's got a well shielded mind. there are humans with strong wills but not like this. she's of a mutant or metahuman nature. Although she seems to be possessed of incredible wealth and a jet setter, no one really knows who she is. She's not seen during the day and hob knobs at night. She could be a vampire...but there's no way to tell until we observe her for ourselves.

:: at the revolving doors, an Concierge stands at the end of the red carpet at a podium bearing a stylized logo of the Parthenon. Malice uses her telepathic powers to compell him and the security to let her and helena by and the White and Red Queen soon make their way to the Moonlight Lounge. They casually acknowledge others whom they know to be Hellfire members, while some celebrities recognize Malice , often assuming she's "Sharon Stone" [ ;) ] she is dismissive of them. the two queens take their seats at reserved table and settle in for the show. as Dominique Deveraux is announced and presents herself, Malice turns to Enchatra and whispers...]

That's her...her aura is INCREDIBLY strong and her mind is WELL shielded.

[ Diana is impressed by the air of mystery that the woman keeps about herself, not really "getting sucked into" the audience's fanfare, but rather fanning the flames of intrigue. her two song set is not bad either. "end of a love affair" even managed to get under Diana's skin and make HER reflect..back on times LONG past.]

she's good...using her talent as a singer to generate social buzz, while keeping herself out of reach when people want her most.

[ as the set ends, Malice claps, and Dominique seems to spot her from afar, the women lock eyes.]

She senses US too. We're going to make contact this evening. I can easily gain the location of where she's staying in the towers. but we'll mingle with other Hellfire members in the after party first before making our way to Dominique.

[ and with that, the White and Red Queen continue to take in the scene, moving and mingling with those of their choice while bypassing others. neither woman is "star struck" but each of them can appreciate certain celebrites more than others. and just as everyone seems to be buzzing about Dominique, these two hope to answer the question on everyone's lips...."WHO IS SHE". ]

Minerva's mansion, the large opening foyer

<< Morgan stood back as Karen moved Ava back to bed. Ava remained somewhat defiant but if anyone knew of a icy defense mechanism, it was Morgan. Her's was in OVERDRIVE during her time on Valiant. In fact, watching Ava now, remember Ava during her earlier days with the Six before the seige perilous merge, it reminded Morgan how much THEY had in common outside of the Darkchilde connection. Morgan could understand her inspite herself.>>

<< and no matter what anyone said, Morgan would not soon get over the grief and GUILT she felt about what happened to Ava and Alison, just like she could scarcely forgive herself for what happened to Sharon, Alycia or even the Inferno. It would come in time, but if anyone was the least forgiving of someone...that was morgan unto HERSELF.>>

Don't worry, We'll take care of Alison, and we'll take care of you too.

The others have arrived...I'll go and bring them up.

<< she said calmly. no need to be antagonistic or overly defiant. Ava was doing that well enough for them all :p she left the suite, went down the hall, a flight of steps, down another winding hall to finally reach the main center stairs. the sound of her high heels on the marble floor echoed and reverberated around the massive, spacious estate.>>

goddess...if i wasnt a super model...i'd probably have fallen down the stairs by now...how did Barbara STAND to walk through these halls and up and down these stairs?

<< down she went, unconsciously walking with a hand on hip pose, much to the amusement of some male guards who were strategically posted throughout the labyrinth like structure. she found Nicolas and the others arriving.>>

<< the others arrive, Nicolas, Haleigh, Delilah...and....BLAZE!? but no...not THEIR Blaze...>>

FIREBIRD?

<< Morgan's icy violet eyes widen with surprise.>>

wha...what are YOU doing here? how did you get here!?

<< she looked at Delilah, Haleigh and Nicolas for a moment>>

and when were you all planning on telling me she was in THIS timeline?? How long has she been here?

<< Morgan wasnt UPSET at Blaze, but she was suitably surprised.>>

As Nicolas, Haleigh, Delilah, and Blaze entered inside the mansion, Blaze could hear the distinct sound of heeled boots clicking softly along the marble halls. Her heart sped up with her adrenaline surging through her veins. Oh boy, Morgan was close she knew it!

The statuesque blonde would come into view as they approached her. Blaze nibbled nervously on her bottom lip, a habit she had acquired in her travels. Morgan's voice echoed off the vintage walls as Blaze stepped out in front of the group to speak for herself.

"Hi Morg, my you look hawt girlie in that outfit!" Blaze flashed one of her best careful smiles although she knew her sister wouldn't succumb to its charm. Which caused her smile to straighten and sober up. "Alright, I won't side-step the matter. I followed you guys here just before the portal closed. I haven't been here long, at least I don't think I have. Maybe ten minutes if that? I think for Nicolas, Haleigh, and Delilah it was just as shocking for them as it is for you. Thus the delay in communication."

Blaze stepped over to Morgan to take her hand, "You've always known how impulsive I am and rather rash in my decision making. When I saw you guys leaving I felt like a piece of me was leaving as cheesy as that sounds. I had a feeling...a gut feeling that I needed and wanted to be here with my family. Don't blame any of the others, I'm the one who jumped through your stepping disk. Like I said, I pretty much sprang up on the others."

Firebird could see Morgan wasn't upset with her just surprised at her arrival. Who could blame her. Yet, as Blaze looked closely at her alternate sister she noticed there was something conflicting the sorceress supreme. Her mind reached out to her sister, What's wrong, Morg? You've got that 'look' about you. Blaze wasn't trying to pry she was just concerned for Morgan.

Minerva's mansion- the man hall/foyer

<< the tall sorceress looked down at Firebird with continued astonishment, even as the fire elemental addressed her, it took a moment to process.>>

<<she'd FOLLOWED them through the stepping disc. right now, im sure a "stepping disc" was not very popular in the minds of most, especially Ava and Alison.>>

<< as the alternate Blaze took Morgan's hand...Morgan didnt resist. instead, she slowly closed her hand around her alternate sister's...and looked at her for a moment longer.>>

I'm just surprised that you're HERE. It's been DAYS...WEEKS since we returned from your timeline. Your passage through Limbo is what delayed you by EARTH's time.

but...you're own team, your friends...you just LEFT them behind? what about your haleigh and sharon??

<< Morgan couldnt help but wonder...even though she would welcome the alternate of her sister here, wouldnt she be ROBBING Firebird's friends and family of her presence in her own timeline? wouldnt this make her JUST as irresponsible as Ava claimed her to be? it WAS wearing on her, despite weathering Ava's tirade moments earlier and Blaze seemed to pick up on that.>>

<< the sisterly bond that allowed Morgan and Blaze to communicate telepathically was born when Spellbinder cast a "hearing thoughts" spell between herself and Foxfire during their time on VALIANT. That was years ago...but no doubt Morgan's alternate would have done the same thing with Firebird. Still...there WAS a delay...the alternate was not of the same blood as the mainstream...it was a "technical difficulty". Firebird had to try TWICE before Morgan actually "HEARD" her. it was so strange, to have this kind of contact again. Nicolas was one of the FEW telepaths EVER to have been GRANTED access to Morgan's mind, her MOTHER had the bond of "mother and child" which surpassed all things, even magick ...but Blaze..alternate or not....her "voice" had been silent for so long. her presence not seen or felt, not just by Morgan but by the team as a whole.>>

....it's nothing. i'm just tired... my mother and i

<< Karen was ALIVE in this timeline, where as she was deceasd in Firebird's>>

we're caring for Ava and Alison...and Ava is giving me a hard time. She doesnt mean any harm, she's just having an adjustment reaction, but something she said..it struck me deeper than i have let on...

<< With Nicolas, Haleigh and Delilah watching the two sisters, Morgan looked away, wide eyed. she placed a hand on Nicolas' chest as she closed her eyes to get a hold of herself. here she was blubbering on through the sisterly rapport to her ALTERNATE. she shouldnt be saying this. she stopped "speaking". Firebird wouldnt know who Ava was...and the "family" issues they were having shouldnt be spilled out like this. >>

Well you're here...and you're welcomed to stay with us. I wouldnt have it any other way. I was just coming down to show Haleigh and the others to the suite where Ava and Alison are. When we get there...Everyone please keep your voices down and don't make any crazy or sudden moves. My mother wants the envrionment quiet and peacefull..

and after that, We'll need to have a meeting, ELSEWHERE in the mansion about the state of the Six.

<< and with that, she gestured, leading the way. she placed her hand on the alternate Blaze's shoulder, walking along with, unconsciously regarding her as she once did her original baby sister.>>

"Days? WEEKS? Damn, it felt like ten minutes but I forgot the power and mystery Limbo possessed." Blaze's face scrunched up in disbelief. She thought she had been only gone for a whole ten minutes. Time really did ascend with time.

Shaking her head, "I left them behind..I know that sounds atrocious. You would think I would stay with them since they are from my timeline. But I felt such a strong connection with each of you. I love and miss them dearly but I missed my sister more. Your not my Morgan per say but we made an agreement that we would be sisters no matter what." Blaze knew how ridiculous this may have sounded to the team. Yet, both Nicolas and Morgan showed signs of happiness at her return. Haleigh though remained aloof and professional for her own personal reasons that dug too close to home. At least two of the teammates were happy to have her there. That feeling of being an outcast was slowly vanishing. But, there was much to acclimate to not to mention having to assimilate to their new way of living on Aerie.

Karen?! She's alive here?

Blaze's thoughts drifted as her facial expression lightened up. Karen was like a surrogate mother to her, full of wisdom, love, and guidance. Blaze had been without a mother for so long that she would at times call Karen 'Mom' on accident much like Nicolas did with his mainstream Karen. Shaking her head once more in disbelief. This was all confusing and complicated, a bit to digest for the young fire elemental. She managed to take it in with strides.

I'm sorry, I don't recall ever meaning an Ava?

Once again, Blaze was out of the loop on that area. Her curiosity though was peaked and then did she hear that Haleigh had a sister? That was news to Blaze as well. Morgan's words inside her mind drifted and halted. The fire elemental was inquisitive but the answers would come with time.

"I appreciate the hospitality, as always." Blaze thanked Morgan with a light smile offered to the taller woman. Turning to walk with the others as Morgan advised them that they would visit Alison and Ava, a woman she never met before. What was her connection to the Six? Who was she?

It was frustrating for the second youngest member of the team who was left out in the dark. So many questions over the last couple of years. Following along side the entourage, Blaze seemed to be deep in thought. Her face stared straight ahead. Morgan must have noticed, her hand gently placed on Blaze's shoulder. Peering up at Morgan, Blaze shared a look with her sister that seemed all knowing. Morgan most likely could see or even sense her sister's slight discomfort.
