<< the bloody red moon was WASHED AWAY by the marvelous WHITE LIGHT. a soft, gentle CALMING light that gave way to a fresh dewy dawn on what was now an endless spread of untouched, naturally beautifull greek countryside. there was a large greek gazeebo in the distance.>>

<< the six found themselves laying on open grass in the area where Barbara Minerva's mansion would have stood but there was no blood, no destruction, no reminders of what terror she has visited upon them. but there was something ELSE missing too...BARBARA.>>

<< Persephone and Delilah were the first to come around, followed by Rampage. everyone felt a little stiff and ragged after what they'd been through. they should have died.>>

<< as Rampage checked on Morgan and Alison, Persephone became frantic as she called out for Barbara.>>

<< they had to realize it, but they were 1000's of years in the past. in what would eventually be called "the age of antiquity", the age of the gods and goddesses themselves.>>

awakening

<< it had felt like her heart was in the grip of a vise. her body was seizing with pain as her own power, her very essence was being controlled and RIPPED through her body and she was just a helpless spectator to it. she was unaware of Alison's attempt to save her...and as Circe appeared, it was almost like Morgan was GIVING BIRTH as she released herself and her magick. is THIS what it was like to truly DIE?>>

<< suddenly there was silence, a feeling of peace and calm and RELIEF from PAIN washed over her and she was ASLEEP. but she was NAKED as well. her costume, had already been torn and in the final deadly pass from Circe...they were ALL consumed by a firery inferno.>>

<< now, Morgan lay out in the open, unaware of her current state. there was no pain, there was no sense of loss of control.>>

<< she soon felt herself being gently shook. her misty, icy violet eyes fluttered as she slowly opened them to find Rampage looking down on her with the fresh dawning sun behind him. was this HEAVEN?>>

hmmmm?

<< she was a little groggy. her body felt stiff and she didnt have the most strength to herself right now. but soon she heard the voices of Persephone and Delilah. they were here too. and as the fresh morning air washed over her, she realized she could FEEL. she was still alive.>>

........

<< she looked up.>>

i dont hurt..anymore.

<<she looked over to the others....>>

is Circe gone?? Alison? Barbara?

waking up

:: Guardian lay on her side, motionless. Much like the night she faced Blackout to save the city. her skin tight, leather costume was tattered and torn in many areas to expose the flesh of her tight, toned body. her blue/black hair fallen over her face, it was impossible to determin if she was still blind.::

:: she lay near Morgan and as Nicolas checked on them, she was not responsive at first. but once Nicolas turned her over to let her face the sky and brushed her hair away, she began to cough...squinting her eyes tightly with the disorientation of returning to consciousness.::

Nicolas?? Morgan....

:: she spoke with a hoarse, weak tone::

oh....

:: she heard Persephone and MorningStar. Barbara was missing.::

Barbara....she....she didnt make it!

:: Alison apparently possessed the full capacity of her powers as a seer. a tear fell down from her eye as she softly spoke of Barbara.::

she didnt make it.....

:: Alison looked so sad.::

[ Delilah managed to work her way onto her side and sit up on her elbow. She looked around almost sleepily. She saw that everyone was accounted for. Everyone except...

Where was Barbara? She must have been blown somewhere further off than they had. She turned her head and looked around. ]

"Barbara? Barbara!"

[ If she was still injured, she might not be able to answer them. ]

"We're coming to get you Barbara!"

[ She called, and started to get up. A wave of dizzyness stopped her as a sharp pain pierced her skull. A hand flew to her head. Perhaps something had hit her during the explosion...

Waiting for the stars to pass, she heard Alison somberly declare Barbara gone. ]

"But Alison, are you sure? Maybe she's just-"

[ But the look on Guardian's face told her it was true. She hung her head in a moment of sadness. An amazing woman, even if they had only known her but a brief time.

Regaining her composure, she moved to Morgan. With a wave of her hand she covered Spellbinder's nakedness with some temporary holographic clothing. She turned to the group at large. ]

"Excuse my French, but what the fuck just happened?"

:: Still kneeling by Alison, Persephone looked over to Nicolas who had just awakened. Morgan soon followed. Both looked completely fine. Looking down at Alison, she began to stir as well until finally waking up. But hearing Alison state Barbara didn't make it completely ripped into the goddess. Her eyes showed nothing but disbelief and pain. Her one tie to her old life, to the people she considered her family, gone. Ripped away AGAIN, and she couldn't do a damn thing to prevent it. Subconsciously shaking her head no, Persephone looked away from Alison and to the horizon. The morning sun hitting the goddess’ face; glistening off the freshly dropped tears from her eyes. Although the others would be naturally upset, Persephone was hit the hardest by Minerva’s death. She was a friend. An ally during her time in the Masters of Evil. ::

:: Painfully pushing herself up off the ground, Persephone slowly walked away from the others. She hardly ever let anyone see her grieve, regardless if they knew that was exactly what she was doing. Keeping her back turned away from the group, Persephone spotted the gazebo afar, but didn’t think anything of it. Closing her eyes, she simply stood there, trying to collect her thoughts. ::

"I'm sorry, Barbara.."

an unknown place...

<< Spellbinder sat up....looking wearily up at Delilah as her friend kindly covered her with a holographic set of clothing.>>

<< she felt so mentally and physically SPENT but her memory was in tact.>>

its ...its my fault. Barbara's dead..because of me.

<< Morgan looked down, drawing her legs up so that her chin rested on her knees as she wrapped her arms down around her calves.>>

Circe USED me...as if i was nothing more than a super powered talisman to her. she violated me...and added my power to her own to make her attempt to destroy us all but guaranteed. I was fighting her...as HARD as i could..and if it hadnt been for Alison...we'd ALL be dead.

<< she began to shed tears.>>

I'm no good. My tally card keeps going higher and higher....Sharon Kelly and now Barbara Minerva!

<< she brought her hands up to her face.>>

i dont deserve to be here. I dont want my magicks anymore. WHAT GOOD IS IT if someone can just come along and USE ME to their own wicked end and i can do NOTHING to stop them!?

<< she cried out as the breeze flowed over her. she knew Persephone was deeply hurt about Barbara's death..and she was RACKED with guilt.>>

Persephone....I'm a second rate sorceress...a danger to ALL those around me.

<< Morgan contemplated retreating to Limbo...FOREVER.>>

Where in the hell???!!!

Nicolas listened as Morgan poured herself out over the loss of Barbara. She was torn apart from the guilt of the situation. Nicolas tore his pants at the mid-thigh on each leg and fashioned a costume of sorts, a bodice for the top and a short skirt for the bottom and had it cover Morgan as he held her.

"NO. This is not your fault. You did the best you could, all of you did. If anything, my stupid red-moon-infested tirade at Persephone delayed us precious seconds when we should have already confronted Circe. Seph only wanted what was best, to help her friend and I allowed my mind to become corrupted, taking a small concern and blowing it out of proportion. Morgan, you were focused and gave your all. I was forced to flee so that Circe wouldn't take me over!!! You were brave, and strong, and you tried your very best. Something was at work in this situation that you couldn't control. Now we need you wherever we are now. All of us. Leaving will solve nothing."

Morgan projected the thought of leaving so strongly that Nicolas heard it like a beacon. He was determined that she would stay, holding her tightly.

Haleigh lay sprawled out on her back, smoke wafting from her body, as her systems slowly came back online.... and memories of what just went down flashed in her consciousness. Running.... earthquake... debris.... buried.... pinned.... pain... silence. Great. I've gone and died again. Oh, they'll be pissed. Bitching about having to find me another body.... maybe I can come back as a brunette this time. She opens her eyes, which dilate quickly then adjust, as she rolls slowly to her side so she can sit up gently.

Delilah:"Excuse my french, but what the fuck just happened?"

Haleigh turned around, to see the rest of the team already awake... and Barbara Minerva gone. As others grieved, Haleigh went proactive to avoid dealing with all the tumultuous emotions.

"The fuck, indeed. ALL the satellites are down... or missing... or something. Something's wrong... my lat and longitude readings place us in the exact spot we were in... where Minerva's panic room WAS. We should be DEAD... but we're not... and I know THIS because I still feel like a FREIGHT TRAIN hit me... and when I died... all sense of pain was gone. So we're in the same PLACE.... but everything's changed. [she shrugs] Maybe we're in a different realm... or time... who the hell knows."

Morgan expressed guilt over Barbara.... but Haleigh shook her head as she got slowly to her feet. Haleigh had her own regrets about not being able to free herself and help put up a stronger defense, but now was definitely not the time.

"No, Morgan... I'll tell you whats no good.... wasting time feeling sorry for ourselves. it HAPPENED. she's gone, and that's a damn shame.... but there's NOTHING we can do about that now and crying about it isn't going to change OR help our situation. Whatever misgivings you may have, about yourself or your powers or your actions, youd better SUCK THAT SHIT UP. You NEED to be strong right now, strong for your OWN sake, and strong for everyone else's too. that goes for EVERYONE. We ALL make mistakes.... lets not relive it.... lets just move on.... and figure out what the hell we're gonna do now."

It may have seemed harsh... but Haleigh believed it needed to be said... and she knew it needed to be heard. Nobody here would benefit from being coddled... right now they had to look ahead.

the greek countryside

::Guardian slowly got up to her feet. looking down at her tattered costume. a terrific metaphor for the situation in general. THEY may have been saved...but what good was it if the person they were trying to HELP was lost?::

:: Morgan expressed her guilt and sorrow over Barbara Minerva's death. Alison could IMMEDIATELY identify with the feeling she had. Circe had swept through them the way a tornado sweeps through a shack in an open field. the POWER she commanded, the way she did so...it was all so VULGAR but yet..on a secret level INTRIGUING.::

:: Barbara was gone and Alison HATED herself for it. Alison thought of Sharon Kelly as well...but she ALSO thought of Morgan the night of Master Mold , Cameron King , even Erika King and several OTHERS who had died despite her efforts.::

Circe was more than any of us could possibly handle at this stage. The power she channels...its the same as YOURS, Morgan but something about her...it was exaggerated. The magnetic pull that you felt..i felt it too but because my magicks arent the same as yours and her's...she did not find me AS necessary to her plan.

:: Morgan wanted to leave, Alison could see it in her face. a stepping disc to whisk her away to Limbo and possibly never return. it was a tempting idea...if Alison had HER own dimension to retreat to..she might consider it as well but ultimately , Rampage was right. Morgan couldnt leave. She wasnt so willing to forgive herself for Barbara however, and neither was Morgan.::

We appear to be in an entirely different time. so far BACK that technology as we would know it...does not exist. which means, Haleigh, that the majority of your powers will be hampered. This is a time where magick and other more spiritual things rule the land but at the same time, things are not necessarily going to be any easier for us. I suspect that Persephone is best suited to tell us just WHERE and WHEN we are.

:: Persephone stayed silent as the others began to confess their guilt. And then of course, Haleigh, telling everyone to suck it up and move on. To them, she was another loss. Another person they couldn't protect with their powers. Another failure. But to Persephone, she was a dear friend. Someone who related to her in so many different ways. A tie to her old life that she was forced to leave behind. And that tie was now severed. ::

:: Slowly opening her eyes, the goddess heard Alison explain they were in a different time. Where technology didn't exist. As much as she wanted to just sit in the plush field they were located in and escape in her own thoughts, it was time to get to work. To figure out exactly what happened, how they got here, and where exactly in time they were. But just as Persephone was about to comment, a soft ney of a horse could caught her attention. Looking to the gazebo afar, a beautiful white stallion with chest plate and head armor could be seen trotting along the dirt path that winded around the fields. A man dressed in a traditional guard's uniform riding on top of him. Persephone's eyes widened......they were in ancient Greece. ::

"Oh hell."

:: The horse huffed, stopping abruptly at the guards command. He had spotted her. Luckily she was farther down the hill than the others and he seemed to only see her. ::

"Hide."

:: She quickly spoke as the horse began to move again, picking up speed and heading in their direction. ::

"Hide!!"

:: Turning to the six, Persephone spotted a thick brush only a few yards away. Pointing to the brush, she immediately began to 'usher' the team along quickly. ::

"Over there! Go! Quickly!"

:: Normally Persephone wasn't this pushy, but if they were in fact in ancient Greece, the team needed to hide immediately. Everyone, including herself, was dressed in modern clothing. If the guard saw them this way, it could cause questions to be asked, which ultimately could in fact change the timeline and the course of the future. Even the smallest of things could effect a change, and they as a team, couldn't take that chance. ::

[ Delilah listened as Haleigh blasted everyone for having emotions, once again. She spoke solemly to the group, meeting each of their eyes in turn as she said the words. ]

"If there's one thing we should know by now, it is that bad things happen. We stop what we can, help who we can, but it isn't our fault."

[ Her gaze fell down to Morgan. ]

"We aren't God...not even Persephone."

[ Her eyes rested on Ava as she put a comforting hand on Morgan's shoulder. The goddess was clearly upset and feeling the loss of Barbara, more deeply than the rest of them, as was to be expected.

Suddenly, Ava was yelling for them to hide. The look on her face told Delilah it was not the time to ask questions. She reached down and grabbed Morgan by one arm and began dragging her toward the brush that Ava had indicated, trusting Nicolas would help her. ]

As Perspehone bid them to hide, Nicolas grabbed Morgan's other hand to help her into the bush. He also surreptitiously moved a few other bushes in to provide further cover. As he scanned the area with his TK, he could recognize from the makeup of the ground itself that they were thousands of years in the past, the geological makeup was MUCH different.

How far back ARE we? Is this even our dimension?

Nicolas thought to himself as he extracted a few raw materials from the ground and made a suit of armor similar in look to the one worn by the man approaching. He then sat and waited with the rest of the team.

Ancient Greece countryside

<< Morgan bristled at Haleigh's rather caustic admonishing of her to "suck it up." she turned her head sharply as her icy violet eyes fixed on Haleigh.>>

you'll FORGIVE ME if I am having a bit of a HARD TIME with the fact that I was all but totally RAPED by Circe as she USED me through and through to AID her destruction of us and that the memory is still fresh for me. we LOST Barbara Minerva...we did a SHITTY job of protecting her....and she didnt deserve to die the way she did. it was MY power that bolstered Circe's. YOU may not understand that...but I LIVED IT! so don't tell ME to "suck it up"....YOU didnt go through it.

<< Morgan's tone was sharp and harsh as she pulled away from Rampage. and got to her feet. She allowed herself to breathe as Delilah spoke, putting a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder. She spoke the right words...but they still didnt do much for Morgan.>>

<< Morgan looked down at the makeshift outfit Rampage fashioned for her. She was mildly insulted that he would presume she WANTED something like this right now but she was too tired in her mind to fuss. She just wanted to go away and sleep.>>

they dont understand. they never have. they'll NEVER know what it felt like to be a spectator in my own body. to know that there's someone out there who could take me over..despite my power and USE me to their amusment.

<< Morgan was deeply troubled by it but she could not enjoy the benefit of brooding as she was grabbed ...AGAIN...by Rampage. they were all ushered behind thick brush as they were now HIDING from men who looked like something out of a technicolored film from the 1950's. horses with armored accents and greek soldiers? hardly a threat but if there was one thing she knew TOO well it was how sensitive time streams were and how they could not interfere and since Persephone seemed to know just where and WHEN they were, it was best to let HER lead the way for the moment.>>

<< she knelt down behind the bushes.>>

<< in an icy voice>> In my own time travels, not to mention Ororo's books and journals in her apothecary, I would guess we are in ancient greece. during their more "stylized" period.

:: As everyone ducked in the large thicket, Persephone held her ribs painfully as she tried to catch her breath from running. Moving to the edge of the thick, the guard was getting closer. The engraved markings on his metal chest plate showed that he was a kings guard. Squinting her eyes to get a better look, the symbols seemed to pin point King Hector...but Persephone wasn't quite sure. It had been a while, after all. ::

:: Pushing herself from her knees to a squatting position, the guard would find them all instantly if they stayed where they were. Turning toward the start of wooded area, Persephone bushed through some dead tree limbs before stopping. A few feet away laid a dead man. His head barely attached to his body. The ancient time period was extremely brutal. People left dead wherever they fall. Which in this case worked very well to Persephone's advantage. Grimacing slightly, dead bodies didn't bother her, but the smell of a two week old corpse wasn't exactly too thrilling to her senses. Quickly making her way over to the body, Persephone rolled him onto his side, maggots and bugs falling from the open wound on his neck. Pulling the red cloth wrap from under his body, she quickly tore the thin fabric with her nails, finally releasing it. Dipping her body as she wrapped it around her back, covering her shoulders, luckily it was large enough to cover the majority of her battle suit. ::

"Stay there and don't say a word."

:: Standing upright, Persephone pushed her way through the wooded brush, walking away from where the six were located. With her back turned to the guard, the horse came to a sliding halt. The guard withdrawing his sward. ::

"Stop! In the name of King Hector!"

:: Persephone stopped. Turning slowly, the breeze caught her brunette locks, causing them to fly across her face. But that made no difference. The guards eyes immediately went wide with terror, realizing who he had just stopped. Finally facing him, Persephone’s icy blue eyes narrowed. ::

"Persephone...."

:: In record speed, the guard literally dropped his sword, and pushed himself off his horse, falling to his knees in front of her. His face nearly touching the soil beneath him. ::

"I apologize! I did not know it was you! I-I-Please, my lady! My goddess! Please! Please don’t kill me!"

:: With her eyes cast down at him, Persephone didn’t speak at first. ::

"Stand."

:: Scrambling to his feet, the guard stood as Persephone commanded, but didn’t dare to look her in the eyes. ::

"What is your name."

"L-Lucius, my lady."

:: Placing her index finger under Lucius’ chin, she pushed it up, forcing him to look into her eyes. ::

"I will spare you life, Lucius. But you must leave now, and never speak of our meeting. Do you understand me?"

:: He quickly nodded. ::

"And if I hear that you have been running your tongue....I will rip it out and bleed you dry. Trust that."

:: The guard looked utterly petrified as he nodded and quickly backed away from Persephone. Stumbling over his own sword, he picked it up frantically and pulled himself back on top of his horse. Turning toward the direction he came from, the horse was immediately commanded into a gallop, leaving Persephone and the six safely on the hillside. ::

:: Pushing the smelly wrap off her body, Persephone wrinkled her nose as the material pooled at her feet. A shower was now high on her list of things to do. Walking back to the thick where the six hid, they had to leave immediately before anyone else came upon them. ::

"We need to leave here. Morgan, are you well enough to transport everyone to my home?"

[ MorningStar waited with baited breath as the guard approached. She holograpically made the bushes look thicker, to hide them better, but if he stepped on them, it would be of no consequence.

Persephone's quick-thinking saved them. Delilah gaped a little at how the guard prostrated himself before the goddess...no one ever did that for HER. She almost chuckled to herself.

When danger had passed she stood and brushed herself off. Persephone suggested they go to her home. Goddesses had houses? But then, something didn't sit right with her. ]

"But isn't there so sort of cross-time alternate of you here? Won't the universe implode if future you and past you see each other?"

[ She spoke casually, but it was a serious question. ]

Ancient Greece countryside

:: Alison followed Persephone's direction, crouching down behind the brush. She was not terribly worried herself, but any unecessary "changes" or ripples made in this timeline could effect them all in longterm. Alison knew better than most how dangerous that could be.::

:: as Rampage asked how far back they were, Alison looked over at him.::

far enough back enough that our parents, grand parents, great grand parents etc....don't exist. we are in the time of greek antiquity. a time that has served as the inspiration for artists, sculptures and scribes for centuries since. we are in the time where the myths and legends we read about...are VERY MUCH REAL.

:: as MorningStar asked about a possible cross time alternate, Alison shook her head.::

as nearly as i can tell, that will not be an issue. the pendant that Barbara Minerva gave Persephone allowed her to RETURN to HER specific time and place that she originally called home. Persephone has hopped through several realities..the most recent ones being Darkchilde's and now are ours but THIS...this is where she began.

:: Persephone handled her business, and sent the soldiers on their way as Nicolas seemed to almost prematurely try to fashion a disguise for himself.::

why are you doing that? we aren't in the STONE age....Persephone has a plan to provide us with "cover stories" and costumes so that we will not cause any unrest. we are in an age where mutants and...."hybrids" , glancing at Haleigh, simply don't exist. Witches, sorcerers, gods/goddesses are the order of the day.

:: she looked around the immediate area they were in.::

this is just the beginning. we're going to be in for a long...and at times...IRRITATING adventure but I warn you all now..for our sakes as well as the timestream...TRY to blend in as best you can. We STILL have a mission to complete. We have to find the means to DEAL with Circe to save OUR timeline from the destruction of Pandora's box.

:: Alison's tone was low. there was a weariness in her cobalt blue eyes. She was still thinking about Barbara and everything that lead up to that moment and she was in less than little a mood to "hide" from what she considered to be uneducated barbarians (the soldiers etc). BUT AGAIN, she could hardly allow herself to revel in her own secret impulses...for the fate of so many others rested on her shoulders. Being a precog SUCKED at times.::

unsettled

<< only seconds passed before she found herself unable to abide Nicolas' touch.>>

LET GO!

<< it was clear that Morgan was suffering from severe psychological trauma as she pushed him away and stood up. NOT HEEDING Alison's warning as she was TIRED of hiding!>>

<< Persephone was just returning to them as a very unsettled Morgan popped up from the bushes, glaring at her with her icy violet eyes. Persephone didn't miss a bit when she asked Spellbinder if she was strong enough to teleport them to her estate. Morgan immediately took offense.>>

Look, just because that CRONE had her way with me..doesnt mean I've forgotten how to use my most basic power. LIMBO is still MINE to command you know!

<< she spat with such hostility. but anyone paying close attention could see that there was something WRONG with Morgan. she was hurting on a psychological level for various reasons. Before Persephone could speak, a crash of thunder and a chime signaled the opening of a stepping disc and in the twinkling of Morgan's glaring eyes, they were teleported from where they were to Persephone's estate. With Morgan noticeably FAR from the group as they emerged.>>

<< she turned away, wrapping her arms around herself and shutting her eyes. She didnt want to be HERE. She didnt want to be around THEM or even LOOK at them! She wanted her mother, ororo..someone who could understand or HELP her!>>

<< even ALISON seemed "so far" away from her at the moment. she felt alienated from her own body in some strange way and she was still very shaken...afraid that it could happen again that she'd NEVER be able to defend herself or keep others from being hurt.>>

<< her mind, her heart raged with BITTERNESS and a desire...for REVENGE! She had prided herself on making sure NO ONE got the drop on her, and in one moment Circe obliterated all her defenses and made her nothing more than a TOOL. Morgan was having a HARD time coping and this could proove to be a MAJOR problem.>>

<< she looked down a her self. the makeshift outfit that Rampage had given her....she frowned.>>

so crude. so TYPICAL of him!

<< seeking comfort and security, Spellbinder gestured around herself with her arms and with a chime she was now in an elegant violet silk robe, tying it around herself and making sure her body was well concealed.>>

Persephone's home

:: Guardian was more than aware of the pain and distress Morgan was in. this was WORSE than the actual attack. THAT at least she could try to stop but now, there was this deep seated violation and betrayal Morgan felt, not to mention fear and isolation. the classic signs of a victim of extreme trauma..."rape" was all TOO good a way to describe it. ::

:: she knew that Morgan was in a bad way and that most of the Six wouldnt understand it. they might even make things WORSE. THIS on top of all else they had to deal with and the lingering uncertainy she felt...it was giving her a headache.::

Curse Circe and her entire bloodline. I would love to PUREE' her skeleton with a telekinetic attack before blowing her apart. it would be the LEAST she deserved for what she's done...what she INTENDS TO DO!

:: she looked around the splendor of Persephone's home. this was only the beginning. some of the accents the furniture pieces..she'd seen them in Barbara's home! how was that possible? She looked down at herself and realized that her costume had been to reduced to worn and tattered rags..despite it being "state of the art" body armour in exquisite leather form. She too needed to change, but she wanted to refresh her body too. going near Morgan and placing a comforting hand on the woman's back, ALison turned back to the others.::

we need a moment to rest. Morgan needs time to rest. Before we plan our next moves before we go anywhere else...we need to STOP for a moment and just BREATHE.

:: Alison's own exasperation was showing. what happened in the Six's timeline was the ULTIMATE manifestation of her own fear...of "NO CONTROL". it was on par with the night of Master Mold or Inferno and just like in THOSE two cases...she now had another innocent's life on her conscience.::

:: Morgan snapped offensively at Persephone question, but the goddess shrugged it off. She could tell Morgan was having problems coping with the fact that Circe practically raped her body and used it as a conductor for the crone's powers. And with that, Morgan transported everyone to Persephone's 'home'...her castle in the Underworld. ::

:: Arriving in the great room, it was tastefully decorated suited to the time period they were in. Books covered the walls, and a fire roared in the large marble fireplace. A large black bear skinned rug laid on the floor in front of the fireplace. Beautiful dark wood furniture placed filled the room as well. Torches hung on the walls around them, creating the light they needed to see. Screams and groans of condemned souls could be heard outside in the distance. The view from the numerous windows showing craters, lava, and fire burning all around the castle. Looking to Alison as she spoke, Persephone nodded. ::

"I agree. But everyone must change first. I have servents that could see us at any moment. Once we change, we can meet here and rest. Come, follow me."

:: Walking out of the great room and into the massive foyer, the large staircase split off into two directions. Making her way up the stairs, torches continued to light their path, but for the most part everything in the castle was very dark. Finally, Persephone made her way into a room filled with large tin buckets and white garments hanging on lines of rope. Touching a few of the garments, Persephone pulled down three of the dry ones. ::

"Take these."

:: Handing Morgan, Delilah, and Haleigh each a garment, they were very simple and far from glamourous or flattering. ::

"You can stay here and change. Alison, Nicolas, come with me."

:: Closing the door as they left, Persephone made her way further down the hallway, before entering another room. This room filled with weapons, battle attire, and shields of all sorts. Hades had a vast collection that he built over the years. Walking to a large armoire, Persephone withdrew a brown leather 'skirt' and chest plate. Taking a pair of brown sandals that tie around the ankle, Persephone handed them to Nicolas. ::

"Here. I doubt Hades will notice they are gone. You can quickly change here."

:: Walking out with Alison, she was the last to receive her 'modern day attire'. Entering a room close to where they just left Nicolas, it looked like a storage room. It sort of was, this room was where Persephone kept all of her mother's belongings after she was killed. Everything seemed to be tossed in here, obviously showing the lack of sentiment when it came to Demeter. Going to an old wooden chest, Persephone opened it and withdrew a beautiful red robe and matching red dress. It was something Demeter had worn ages ago when Persephone was just a little girl. Handing the delicate garment over to Alison, along with metallic gold sandels, Persephone headed over to a small jewelry box as she spoke. ::

"Those were my mothers....Here.."

:: Taking out a beautiful gold necklace (seen in the picture), she handed it to Alison as well. ::

"Take this as well. Alright, well, I need to dress as well. I'll meet everyone down in the great room."

:: Leaving Alison, Persephone soon disappeared in the dark hallways of the large castle. ::

[ Delilah gave a worried glance at Morgan. She was clearly not taking things well, but Delilah wasn't a therapist and she didn't know what she could really do. She certainly was not going to try in front of everybody - she would have to wait until she and Morgan were alone.

She felt the now-familiar sensation that travel via stepping disc brought on, and found herself in Persephone's fortress. It was comfortable, if a bit dark. She looked out the window and saw lava. Lava. ]

"Holy shit."

[ She followed Persephone wordlessly as they went to fetch fresh clothing for them all. She looked down at herself. Blood caked across her clothes, face, and pretty much everywhere from their battle with the animorphs. A major shower is what she really needed. They reached what appeared to be a laundry room, and Persephone handed her what amount to a white cotton sack. ]

"Oh you have GOT to be kidding."

[ She reluctantly began cleaning up and changing into the...thing. ]
