Limbo- the rocky plateau

:: Watching the exchange between Darkchilde and Persephone, Guardian couldnt help but appreciate Persephone's appeal to Darkchilde's core...if there was ANY humanity left in the woman....::

:: as Foxfire attempted to mask her own uncertainty with sarcasm, she asked Guardian what her plan was and Guardian looked down at the mutant::

I'm going to back Persephone's play, with a SCRYING POOL. I will use my power of precognition and foresight to broadcast the images of DC's past as we saw them in the observatory. She will see, REMEMBER her mother Karen , her honored mother Ororo, her sister wraith Alessandra, her devoted friends Brenthon, Titania and Ikaris and her lover, Morpheus.

:: the sounds of chaos and struggle raged on outside the forcefield as Guardian spoke::

She must REMEMBER....even if it means feeling the pain again. Morgan had this same struggle shortly after the Inferno when she attempted to seal herself in Limbo after your death, but Ororo and Karen helped HER. Maybe WE can help Darkchilde!

:: Bowing her head, Guardian touched one gloved hand to her forehead and extended the other outward. a glowing blue halo forms around the outstretched hand as a bell tolls hauntingly in the air.::

:: she used her powers as a Seer to do what she could...but would it work?::

return to self!

<< Darkchilde, who was now holding her arms outward as dark magick began to spin around in a cyclonic pattern behind her, even causing her hair to flow with the growing torrent of power, was preparing to destroy them ALL with one final pass, when Persephone managed to free herself using her own plant like physiology to counteract the vines.>>

<< the demon sorceress hissed with contempt as eldritch chimes sounded off the sound of power began to crescendo in the air around them but before she could strike, Persephone reached OUT to Darkchilde>>

Persephone said:
DC!! I was brought here by YOU!

<< Darkchilde paused for a moment....>>

Persephone said:
Listen to me. I came with you to limbo 25 years ago to fight against the original Dire Wraiths...

The Original Dire Wraiths.....of legend

<< Darkchilde suddenly felt her mind wandering..BACK to ...the stories of her birth...the chaos of that night. the Dire Wraiths had marked HER to be their gate way...until she destroyed them.... or so she thought. they came BACK...and attacked her, and her coven, the Masters of Evil!>>

Persephone said:
"My body was failing too fast in Limbo...I had to stay back while you went on. I AM your friend! I AM your SISTER!"

<<That explained Persephone was not present for the final, tragic battle!>>

Sister?......

Persephone said:
"Look at me--Look into my eyes and you’ll know I’m telling you’re the truth!"

The TRUTH!!...the MEMORY!!

I.......

<< a bell tolls , catching Darkchilde by surprise as she turns....at Guardian's command, a mysterious scrying pool shimmers into view at a vertical orientation....and she SEES what Persephone has said....images of Alessandra, her other Sister Wraith; her beloved mother Karen, her honored mother, Ororo, her trusted, devoted friends, Brenthon, Titania, Ikaris; and her...her lover of all ages...MORPHEUS.>>

My...friends....my family

<< she watches the final, feverish moments of the tragic battle between the Masters of Evil and the original Dire Wraiths and their hordes of evil creatures. they fight....they fall..they die. Darkchilde CRIES OUT...as she loses herself in darkness...and lets the power of dark magick flow through her..she DESTROYS the original Dire Wraiths and their evil army...she destroys them ALL..EVERYTHING!>>

<< all thats left is the PAIN, the GRIEF of LOSS!>>

<< she sees herself on her knees, her armour covered hands over her face as she weeps for her friends, family and lover...before she transforms , out of heart break into what she is NOW.>>

Persephone........I ...REMEMBER!

<< the swirling vortex of dark magick behind her suddenly wanes and flows away ...dissipating. thunder CRASHES as the weather around them seems to begin to calm just a bit...and Darkchilde stands...confused, the memories are coming back...and so is THE PAIN!>>

my friends...my family...i couldnt save them...all i could do was AVENGE them...they are dead....and I'm alive...alone...with nothing ...nothing left!

<<CLANG!

<< the evolved darkchilde puts her glowing hands over her face...as she..begins to WEEP for those she has lost. an eldritch chime sounds off as she TRANSFORMS and is now BACK to the state she was before the tragedy..that of a human woman with an UNCANNY resemblance to Morgan. She was wearing her body countouring eldritch armour and headdress..the red horns coming from the openings of the headdress at her forhead. her blonde, double highlighted hair was now resting down her back and blowing in the wind>>

<< she was...HERSELF once more.>>

I REMEMBER!

<< Persephone's words and Guardian's visuals had DONE IT..they had broken through to Darkchilde's humanity!>>

Persephone
Persephone
Amazing post. So heartfelt and detailed, I could picture everything in my mind. Beautiful :)
"Of course...that's brilliant." She knew this was Persephone and Guardian's battle, leaving behind herself and Black Widow for the time being. She sat back from the safety of the protected dome. Foxfire was hopeful, what could be more powerful than visuals and the appearance of her Sister Wraith, Persephone?

Her eyes falling on Darkchilde who looked hauntingly beautiful yet frightening in her new evolution. She remembered how Spellbinder looked back at the Inferno incident. God, how DC looked so much like Morgan! She sighed under her breath, praying this plan would work.

There seemed to be a light in Darkchilde's unholy eyes as she watched with regret and horror at the slaughter of her friends, family, and lover. A grim expression mirroring on Blaze, she knew what that was like. She also hoped this would not provoke Darkchilde even more.

Finally it seemed the mighty Demon Sorceress came through as she recalled remembering. Standing up with Black Widow, Fox turned back to Guardian.

"You did it!" She said in an astonished tone, barely believing it herself. She had to give Alison credit for having the ability to control and harness such power. Ororo was right, Alison would know what to do when the time came. Staring back at Darkchilde, Blaze felt like she was looking at a ghost. Her olive complexion paling, this mission would haunt her but she hoped they could find her Morgan. Was it a mistake to hope that?

:: Surprised at the Scrying Pool that Guardian summoned, she looked over to the woman impressed with her abilities to think on her toes. Looking back to the Scrying Glass, Persephone began to watch what Darkchilde was watching...what she had experienced. Shocked with disbelief, Persephone watched as her friends were murdered brutally. How Karen was taken into the mouth of a stoned animal, ripped to shreds. How Ororo was impaled with a spike, instantly dying. How everyone she grew to love, she allowed in her own heart of stone, die. ::

:: The wind whipped through Persephone's hair, her hands slacked around the mystic daggers she still held. The goddesses now teary eyes still fixated on the scrying pool. The image showed Darkchilde, screaming, falling to her knees, weeping. It showed her transforming into the state that she was now....her giving up on life and succumbing to the grief, anger, and guilt that she felt. Then suddenly, it was all over. The scrying pool disappeared and Persephone's eyes shifted down to Darkchilde who began to speak, stating that she remembered!! It had worked, and with the assistance of Guardian, they had broken through to her beloved friend; her sister! But after witnessing what she saw to be her friend’s last battle....Persephone couldn't help but feel her joy mask over with a feeling of utter helplessness and grief. ::

:: Watching as Darkchilde dropped to her knees in utter defeat, Persephone holstered her weapons as she quickly made her way over to the blonde. Dropping to her own knees next to her, tears fought to escape the goddesses eyes as she looked down to her friend weep. Her face contorting into that of pain, now placing her hands immediately onto the back of Darkchilde's neck. Closing her eyes, she tried to keep her voice steady. ::

"I know....I know."

:: Speaking very softly so only Darkchilde could here, Persephone's fingers ran gently throughout the blonde's tresses, combing them to try and sooth her. ::

"Shh.."

:: Wrapping her arm around DC's back tightly, Persephone buried her face into the mass of blonde locks, holding her friend closely trying to comfort her pain. But she herself began to cry softly for the loss of her friends. For Karen and Ororo whom she loved and respected as if they were her own mothers. The first sign to the woman of the six that Persephone actually had a heart. The pain of that day 25 years ago became an old wound freshly picked for DC, and a newly developed wound for Persephone.

:: Together they wept, huddled on the stone plateau high above Limbo. Together they looked like a piece of finely sculpted art, kneeling among the now calmed atmosphere. Two of their times most powerful woman brought to their knees in utter defeat as the three woman of the six watched on. ::

Limbo

<< Darkchilde felt the pain and grief wash over her again, but THIS TIME, Persepehone was there for her. she WASNT alone, she had her sister wraith! in a surprising and unexpected turn of events, Persephone had been spared the tragedy of MoE...and now, she had been reunited with her sister, DC>>

<< even with her eldritch armour, DC felt the presence of Persephone close to her, as the goddess knelt down beside her and grieved with her.>>

Persephone......

<< she took persephone's warm hand in her own armour covered hand. she eventually managed to compose herself as they mourned their fallen MoE...>>

Ororo...she kept you safe.....but i ..could not save her...

<< with her other armoured hand, she clenched her fist>>

It hurts TODAY as much as it did 25 years ago...and i never...EVER expected to see YOU again....i ....i didnt know what became of you...i lost myself in such grief and rage.

<< the winds and thunder were less vicious but still present>>

I can't believe you're HERE!

<< Darkchilde slowly stood up with Persephone's hand still in her's>>

how did you recover from Ororo's spell?

<< Darkchilde didnt seem to notice the three women of The Six right now, she was still reeling from being BACK to herself again...and the site of Persephone. the revelation that Darkchilde wasnt ALONE after all....that apart of her family HAD survived...it provided a surprisingly warmth to her icy heart. She looked upon Persephone, her facial expression much softer than it was before as her icy violet eyes sparkled>>

Limbo- rocky plateau

:: Guardian heaved a sigh of relief as she slowly lowered her hands and the scrying pool faded and shimmered away.::

:: whispering to Foxfire and Black Widow:: thank the goddess!

:: Guardian quietly lowered her force field and slowly stood up hand in hand with Blaze and Haleigh::

::whispering:: remain quiet. this is a very hard moment for the darkchilde. we must treat this situation delicately with grace.

:: Alison knew that persephone had figured out that it was HER scrying pool that backed up her play to appeal to Darkchilde's heart and humanity. She also knew that Darkchilde would temper Persephone's callous demeanor with her wisdom and understanding when the time came for her to address the demon sorceress.::

:: Sniffing in Persephone tilted her head back and took a breath in to calm herself. The tears were still wet on her face as she finally looked into Darkchilde's eyes. Shaking her head immediately, Persephone dismissed how Darkchilde was placing the blame on herself. ::

"No, you did what you could...it's not your fault. If anything it's mine....I should of been there! I could have helped you all."

:: Parting her dried lips, Persephone felt Darkchilde's hand wrap around hers as she felt her own guilt surfacing. It killed Persephone inside to know that she wasn't there to help. That perhaps they could of beaten the Dire Wraiths, or even escaped long enough to regroup. Anything. Persephone was a very controlling person; always striving for perfection. And since being released by the woman of the six--finding out what had happened to her friends--Persephone felt anything BUT in control. ::

:: Finally looking up to Darkchilde hearing her question about being released, Persephone then realized that the three woman were still present. Brushing the back of her fingers across her cheeks to wipe off the remaining wetness of her tears, she glanced to the three woman, nodding her head in their direction. ::

"They are from your counterpart Spellbinder's time. They've been traveling throughout limbo in search for you...They came upon me and released me."

:: Looking away, Persephone gripped Darkchilde's hand tightly. ::

"Eventhough I don't like them....they did help me. So do not harm them."

The emotional trauma was a bittersweet reunion between Darkchilde and Persephone. Blaze saw the emotional strain it felt on both friends, especially Darkchilde. She turned back to see Guardian just as relieved as she was.

"You can say that again." She whispered back. Her hand still in collection with Guardian's gloved hand. Blaze took this moment to thank her lucky stars for getting Alison back, without her they wouldn't have accomplished this much. She gave a sympathetic look to the Seer as her green eyes sparkled. The mutant didn't want to stare at the two grieving women who needed time to recover.

From the corner of her eye she saw the mighty Persephone break down, a heart breaking sight. Here was a Goddess, capable of anything except resurrecting her friends and loved ones. Foxfire avoided looking at DC and Persephone, giving them the privacy they deserved.

The three women stood tall and elegant in their battle attire. Foxfire clearly the runt of the group but her strength, tenacity, and courage would not go unnoticed. What she lacked in height she made up for in battle or friendship. Releasing Guardian's gloved hand as she revoked the protection of the dome. She fell more into an "at ease" position with her face stoic and her arms tucked behind her back. Her mind wondering to Morgan but she swore to herself she would stop at nothing to find her with the help of DC and Persephone and her teammates.

We're coming Morgan.....

Reunion

<< As Darkchilde and Persephone struggle to cope with the painfull reality that they are the sole survivors of the mighty MoE coven....they realize that they at least have EACH OTHER. after all, they began the coven TOGETHER as well.>>

<< as the two women stand up and Persephone attempts to assuade DC's pangs of guilt over her fallen friends and family, Darkchilde hugs Persephone as the winds whistle and howl...and the thunder rumbles off into the distance DC learns that not only did Ororo turn persephone into stone to keep her from dying but that a group of cross time visitors was responsible for freeing them>>

I can't believe...that after all of this, that....that I'm not alone after all. You're here....Ororo kept you SAFE! Her wisdom and her grace....its something that I've missed for so long....

Thank the goddess you're back.

<< they end their embrace as Darkchilde looks upon the three strange, yet beautifull women from another time.>>

If they are not Guardians of Light, then they have nothing to fear from me. The world in which we lived and war'ed is no more. I am now and forever HERE in limbo. and until they freed you, i believed myself to be truly alone. and for that alone, I am greatfull.

<< noting that they were from a timeline of one of her own counterparts, DC studied the three women carefully. surveying each of them as her magickal detection sweeps over them.>>

the one in the middle, she's a powerfull practiconer of magick. she harnesses it in a way that I have not seen in quite some time. the other two...are mutants and they are....infected with the techno organic virus!

<< in DC's timeline...anyone who became infected with the virus either died or had their life glow drained by demons>>

and yet, they LIVE!

<< stepping forward a bit, DC spoke in an icy voice>>

tell me, cross time travelers, who might you be? and what brings you to my timeline?

<< the thunder rumbles again in the air as the winds sweep around them all>>

Limbo- rocky plateau

:: Guardian watched as the two women related. Clearly there was a sister like bond between them. Much like the one she shared with Morgan and to a lesser degree, Delilah. It was a plus at least that Darkchilde finally was able to find some relief from the pain that had transformed her 25 years ago in this timeline. That even ONE person of her family was revealed to have survived....and that the women of the Six made it possible.. Alison knew Ororo would be proud of them in this and EVERY timeline.::

:: as Persephone introduced them in her own "unique" way, Guardian rolled her cobalt blue eyes in contempt. emotion aside, if this were a foe of her's anywhere else, Guardian would have RIPPED HER APART with her telekinetic power by now.::

:: As Darkchilde spoke of them and assesed them with her mystical detection, Guardian realized that Darkchilde would be rational and reasonable with them, and for that, she was greatfull. there had been so much violence and loss here and it was good that there would not be any at this moment.::

:: Darkchilde addressed them and asked who they were, and Guardian took this moment to speak::

I am Guardian, a Witch like yourself and a Seer. ::gesturing to Foxfire:: this is Foxfire, the sister of your cross time counterpart from which we come. ::gesturing to Black Widow:: this is Black Widow a trusted member of our group.

We herald from the timeline of Spellbinder...and we are here, because....we need your help.

:: thunder cracked as black lightning flashed across the skies around them.::

The weather patterns drastically shifted as Darkchilde calmed herself with the assistance of Persephone. The Demon Sorceress finally realizing the hardcore truth to the matter, but one that was far from easy to register. All three women of the Six stood solidly together in a unified manner looking on with sympatric looks.

Regaining her composure after shortly grieving for her loved ones, Darkchilde seemed to be curious of these newcomers. Blaze could see the Demon Sorceress sizing each of them up, especially Guardian. She glanced over to Black Widow as DC addressed the fact they had both been infected with the TO Virus, yet managed to live. It was true, not many people could assimilate the virus, most suffered atrocious side affects or ending up rotting away like a wilted flower. But, here they both stood strong and very much alive to the shock and horror of Darkchilde.

DC inquired why they were here and immediately Guardian volunteered to be the spokeswoman. She introduced each of the team, including herself. Each woman nodded a greeting to the Darkchilde, Blaze of course was speechless, what could she say, ‘hey, how’s it going we’re looking for my dead sister?’ not exactly a warm invitation.
Looking skywards as another abnormal bolt of ebony lightning struck.

Foxfire stepped closer to Guardian but she remained quiet, after all Alison said everything that needed to be said.

:: Returning the hug that Darkchilde gave her, Persephone smiled while running her hand up and down Darkchilde’s back. Pulling away, even though she had gotten off on the wrong foot with the woman from Spellbinder’s time, she was extremely grateful to them for their assistance in bringing Darkchilde back to her true state. Turning to the woman as Darkchilde addressed them, Persephone nodded her head slowly at DC’s explanation of who they were. ::

"Yes, the one of the right controls the element of fire."

:: Adding her two sense in, Persephone crossed her arms along her chest and continued to listen to both Guardian and DC talk. Lowering her brows, the goddess became curious about what had exactly happened to Spellbinder. All the counterparts of the dark trinity were extremely powerful, and for these three woman to travel to a different time for the assistance of Darkchilde was intriguing to her. ::

"What exactly happened to Spellbinder?"

Limbo -rocky plateau

:: as the seer stood in the center of her trio and a few steps forward, she faced Darkchilde and Persephone. Her own blue/black hair, flowing to the side as the winds seemed to shift directions as her cobalt blue eyes gazed upon DC. in her mind, she marveled at the uncanny resemblence betwen her and Morgan...despite the eldritch armour and horns...which made her look even more intriguing, even beautiful::

Along our journey, we came to the garden of THIS timeline's Ororo. We discovered in her apothecary one of her journals where we learned that the statue in her garden was in fact a member of your team and one of your sister wraiths. Because Persephone's powers and nature were in direct opposition to this realm's nature....she had begun to be sick and weak but they could not return to earth because the ORIGINAL Dire Wraiths were threatening your world and the best place to fight them was in DC's realm.

To save Persephone , Ororo turned persephone to stone to save her from being poisoned by the aura and atmosphere of Limbo because of the prolonged exposure. We also found a book spells that included an incantation and potion to reverse the transformation of Persephone from stone back to human form.

I released Persephone, and informed her of what had happened and that she'd been in storm form for at least 25 years as nearly as i could determine.

shortly after that....we found our way here to you.

::Guardian, who was always knowledgeable about a variety of things had been picking up glimpses of the past from the Dire Wraiths standing infront of her. theirs was a world that was still ruled by nature and magick. the masters of evil, while dedicated to evil, had a family spirit about that that was STRONGER than anything Guardian had known in her own life. Even this timeline's Ororo, who was inherently good, had lent her support and guidance to these MoE and they in turn respected and cherished Ororo. Darkchilde, Persephone, Alessandra, Titania, Ikaris, Morpheus and Brenthon...the core of the MoE regarded Ororo as a true goddess, a mother figure- THAT was something that The Six, who were hardly anyone's "idea" of a super hero team had in common with MoE and while Guardian disliked Persephone, she had a tremendous understanding and respect for the sisterhood between her and DC. it was much like her own with spellbinder.::

I am a seer and a precog...i can view events in all time lines past present and future and while my power is limited here in this realm were time and space do not apply the same, i can draw upon my own memories of specific events so that you may see exactly what happened.

In our timeline, we are locked in a deadly struggle with an entity who threatens our lives, our families lives and the lives of many others the world over...they are just as insidious as your Guardians of Light in many ways. Spellbinder, who was our team leader, died violently in a battle with an omega sentinel trying to protect our allies and the city. The Master Mold was a weapon of immense size, power and destruction that devastated the city. that type of technology has been unseen in this timeline.

:: Guardian held up her hand...another scrying pool forms as she uses her powers of precognition/Seer to broadcast the fatefull battle between The Six and the Master Mold. The deaths of Sharon Kelly and the final moments in which Spellbinder died....for Persephone and DC...the site of this mechanical monster was unlike anything they had encountered on their earth. The events involving Malice and Blackout flashed...death, destruction, the loss of more team members. ::

Recent events in OUR timeline have lead to the discovery that Spellbinder is in fact ALIVE. She is in a realm OUTSIDE of time and space...even OUTSIDE of LIMBO. Her own basic power to circumvent time and space via stepping discs is what saved her from certain death but she's not herself...she has no concept or awareness of the woman she was..the life she led. she is in a "fetal" state.

Upon consulting with our timeline's Ororo...

::Guardian hoped the realization that Ororo was alive in their timeline wouldnt upset Darkchilde or bring about more grief::

she informed us that this was beyond even HER power and that YOU, the crown jewel of the Dark Trinity were our only hope. We have come here, to ask you for your help, Darkchilde. To help us bring back Spellbinder...and to insure that our timeline is able to continue forward. We have lost several members since her death..much like what has happened to MoE and we three before you are all that are left.

Limbo

<< Darkchilde looked upon the Seer. She was such a bewitching woman with cooler, dark looks and features that mader her mysterious. DC's magickal detection could only reach so far "into" the Seer's own aura without encountering substantial mystical barriers and while Darkchilde was sorceress supreme, she noted the power and potency that this woman possesed about herself. impressive indeed.>>

<< as Guardian spoke in her cool toned voice, Darkchilde's body contouring eldritch armor gleamed and shimmered as she folded her arms. her own blonde, double highlighted hair flowed in the wind as well.>>

this is a woman who truly has it together. what an ASSET she would have been to the MoE if she had existed in this timeline...A seer...might have made the difference in the final battle with the original Dire Wrawiths...i wonder if she does have a cross time counterpart on the earth of this reality.

<< darkchilde's own mind wandered at the possibilities but she continued to listen intently to the shocking and troubling story that Guardian told her. The timeline from which she came was CLEARLY different than the one from which DC and Persephone were and it showed in the scrying pool. the dark and cold skylines of a city gripped by a global evil; the monstrous evil master mold- quite possibly the BIGGEST creature of ANY origin she had ever seen; and her OWN counterpart, Spellbinder. She watched as Spellbinder fought so bravely to try to protect and save Sharon and Alycia from the first strike. and although the icy sorceress was known for her blood thirsty, cold ways, Darkchilde couldnt help but slightly gasp as Sharon Kelly a woman who was apparently only human was brutally struck down by the unfeeling Master Mold. the battle raged and in "The Six" , Darkchilde could see the same family spirit that her MoE core had. They fought TOGETHER, they protected each other. in the last terrifying moments of the battle as Guardian was struck down and Spellbinder rushed to defend her and the team from Master Mold, Darkchilde found herself so DRAWN to her counterpart-- the moment where Master Mold GRABBED HER with his tentacles and began to PULL HER IN!!! and Black Widow, who gave her ALL to try to save her team mate from certain death!! the scene was as powerfull as it was heart breaking as Spellbinder was ultimately RIPPED from Black Widow's grasp and SCREAMED as she was pulled into the Seige Perilous.>>

goddess!!! i FEEL for her...for ALL of them. I know...what this is like. I've felt this kind of loss, this DEFEAT.

Persephone...this is truly monstrous!

<< the images played out. Spellbinder was the first to fall and in other events the team would be betrayed by Shockwave/Blackout and Guardian HERSELF would fall in her attempts to save her team and the city. the violence, the tragedy that plagued the Six struck a chord with DC>>

<< in an icy voice>>: these women are like us. they have honor, they have family spirit just like we did in MoE. It doesnt matter if they are "good" or "evil"...they are TOGETHER and they protect each other. Just like we did and they have been battered, felt loss and tragedy, like we did. They are now down to three, we are down to two...and our war with the Guardians of Light has LONG since ended so titles mean nothing anymore.

<< thunder rumbled around them as the winds howled>>

come...let us go.

<< Darkchilde raises her armoured hand..and a chime sounds off followed by a blast of thunder as whole group of five are teleported via disc BACK to...ORORO'S GARDEN.>>

Limbo- Ororo's Garden

<< a blast of thunder heralds the opening of a vertically oriented stepping disc in Ororo's now gloomy and spooky garden. Still in Darkchilde's timeline, the five women stepped forth. Once again, the sense of a stillness and absence could be felt in this garden. the smell of damp, dense jungle was in the air but the winds helped to keep it from being too close.>>

<< the myst that hung low in the garden rolled along as the dark midnight clouds swirled and billowed over in the skies above. the soft, constant chorous of crickets and other insects could be heard in the background as thunder rumbled.>>

<< the women of the six had been here just a bit ago. Persephone had been here for 25 years up to this momen. This was Darkchilde's FIRST TIME back here since Ororo's death and burial...25 years ago.>>

<< the women all stood now in this silent, gloomy realm within Limbo...a lasting , haunting reminder of Ororo's loss and the tragedy that befell MoE. But in the midst of this eerie place, there stood the massive Oak. The center piece and focal point of the garden that was born from Ororo's first creation following her winning her soul back from the evil of Belasco, the acorn. It was also her first lesson to Darkchilde as a young girl. Teaching her to use magick--whichever form-- to do POSITIVE things. Ororo's magick flowed so strongly through it that it remained as strong and as vital as it ever was before. ANOTHER symbol of Ororo's legacy>>

<< now the women were here together, standing silently, taking in the whole expanse of this dark, eerie garden. Though she had already made up her mind that she would help Guardian and her friends, Darkchilde wanted to come back WITH Persephone, to face her friends graves. She also wanted to name the special condition to her helping them.>>

:: Persephone's eyes narrowed into an intense glare as she watched the events unfold on Guardian's scrying glass. This Master Mold creature was monstrous; extremely powerful and relentless. Shifting her eyes from Master Mold to Spellbinder, the woman put up a strong fight, but ultimately lost. Persephone's brows lowered slightly as she watched Black Widow grasp onto Spellbinder's hand and get drug along the concrete until ultimately, the woman was lost in the Siege Perilous. The images soon changed to Guardian and a brunette, battling fiercely against one another. The images of their time line showed how truly powerful and strong willed these woman were. Something Persephone definitely had underestimated about them. ::

:: As the Scrying Glass disappeared, Persephone's eyes swept over to Darkchilde who voiced her opinion on what they had just seen. Nodding her head, the goddess glanced back toward the three woman before Darkchilde summoned a stepping disc and relocated them back to Ororo's Garden. ::

:: Persephone inhaled a short breath. It hadn't even been an hour since being released from her stoned state, and she was already feeling the effects of Limbo taking a toll on her body. She wouldn't admit it, nor show any symptoms of feeling weak, but the goddess was most definitely not feeling up to par. Perspehone's eyes shifted over to the graves, then back to DC. ::

:: Concerned, the reality of the situation hadn't really sunk in for her. Her friends were gone, her world was gone. Everything she knew had changed. But Darkchilde had lived with this for 25 years. And just after becoming "normal" again, Persephone didn't want her to revert back to her previous state by coming here too soon. ::

"DC..."

:: Her soft voice trailed off as she looked to her grief striken friend. ::

Memories

<< Darkchilde stepped forth...slowly looking around. it was so surreal being back here after 25 years. Not being able to bare thinking, or even LOOKING at things that would remind her of her honored mother Ororo, her natural mother Karen, her friends , sisters and love in the MoE. it was clear in both look and feel that the garden oasis had suffered from the loss of its mistress, Ororo.>>

<< in an icy voice>>:

even in a withered state, the garden is resilient, like the goddess who created it. that oak.. << points to the massive oak>> I remember the day the acorn that would spawn this massive tree was created. Even now, Ororo's magick flows so strongly through it. Any magick user could draw sustenance from it for MONTHS if necessary.

<< she walked along slowly...>>

I havent been here...in 25 years. I couldn't bare the thought. But now, I feel that i must return. I must honor my friends, my honored and natural mothers, my sisters, my lover.

<< she looked upon the women of The Six>>

I do understand the pain of loss that you feel. It seems that my counterparts and I are doomed to be blighted by the darkness that connects us to this realm and that our lives, the lives of those we care for will be effect as well.

<< looking at persephone>>

because of you courageous and honorable women, my sister, persephone is back. and through all the pain of the last 25 years, this is the BEST unexpected gift that I could have received.

<< DC's icy violet eyes sparkle as she blinks...a single tear slowly trickles down her cheek>>

It has been so long since i remembered...since i FELT...i didnt want to FEEL ever again but now that I am myself again, i realize how wrong i was to retreat the way i did. the memory of my MoE family demands that i remember them, keep them in my well guarded heart and my mind for as long as i remain and dwell in Limbo.

<< taking Persephone's hand in her own armored hand>>

come.

<< she leads persephone, with the group of women in tow slowly toward the grave area which is nearby where Persephone once stood as a statue. they walk along and dark faeries flit about...some curiously watching as the women pass by. they reach the graves>>

<< the graves marked with elegant head stones made of a strong, gothic stone, the etching is precise, almost laser like. leaved fines randomly wrap around or adorn the stones...indicating the passage of time has been long. the myst flows around the graves>>

<< standing there with Persephone hand in hand, Darkchilde looks upon these head stones...the final resting place of her friends and family>>

Karen Victoria- "Beloved natural mother"; Ororo- "Honoured mother", . Titania, Brenthon, Ikaris and Elektra - " Loyal, Devoted Friends". Alessandra- "Fallen Dire Wraith- Sister" And finally, Morpheus- "Boldest Titan; Fallen Love"

<< the words on each stone under each name seemed to sound off in DC's mind. her own voice providing the narraration for each marker....she bowed her head , as her blonde double highlighted hair flowed forward over her armoured shoulders as the haunting winds howled and flowed around them, picking up some dried leaves that rustled , swirled and blew past the group>>

<< in an icy voice....now tainted with pain>>: my friends....my family...my lover. powerfull as i am supposed to be, i could not save you. for all the strength that I supposedly had, i was not strong enough to ...

<< she closed her eyes, as tears began to flow. she covered her eyes with her other free hand as thunder rumbled in the air around them. it was so hard for DC...so hard to face them. she felt disgracefull, even now>>

:: Gripping DC's hand within her own, Persephone began to walk forward toward the grave sight once again. Her stomach turned to knots as they inched closer and closer to where their friends laid. Subconsciously, Persephone wanted to forget this all happened. Pretend that it was just a nightmare. But for her to see the tombstones once again would only dash her wishes and make her force reality once again. ::

:: Darting her tongue along her lips, her grip increasingly became tighter the closer they came to the grave sight. Fluttering her long black lashes, she looked to the dead grass, the tree afar, the stagnant water. Anywhere BUT the grave sight. Finally stopping, Persephone kept her face turned away, eyes focused blankly to the ground. ::

:: DC began to speak, reading the words engraved on to the stones allowed. Her voice kept Persephone focused, although she disliked what she was hearing. Slowly shaking her head, her eyes fell shut as a single tear fell down the side of her cheek. ::

"You did what you could."

:: Persephone softly murmured, finally turned her head to look at Darkchilde. The single tear trail was visibly stained on the goddesses cheek, showing that she too, was extremely upset about the loss of their friends and teammates. She was trying her hardest to stay strong for Darkchilde's sake; too keep her from breaking down any more. From blaming herself. She needed to know that she did what she could, and that's all anyone could ask for. ::

"They wouldn't want you blaming yourself for this. Each of them fought to protect what we built."

:: Pausing, Persephone finally looked to the graves.::

"They died with honor...and they'll be remembered for that. Always."

<< breathing in sharply, trying to chase away the tears, Darkchilde straighted up a bit as she uncovered her eyes. hearing Persephone's words, she noted that her sister wraith had changed much since her time here. She seemed older, wiser, there was a depth and understanding to her that had not been to this level before. It was these two who began their adventures together LONG before the Masters of Evil came to be, and it was fitting that they meet up again at the end of this long, ever twisting, unpredictable road of their lives>>

<< exhaling as she looked over to Persephone, DC nodded her head>>

I know you're right. And i also understand now just how PAINFULL it was for Ororo. She lived through this herself when she lost her X-men all those years ago in Limbo, they died, trying to save me. For the longest time Ororo could not forgive herself and she even lost herself in darkness just like i did. But she came BACK. She pulled herself together to help ME, she raised me like a daughter she was MoE's most respected ally.

<< she reached forward ...touching Ororo's headstone>>

I miss her SO MUCH....all of them.....But now, i must do what she did, i must carry on.

<< turning to face the headstones, still with Persephone's hand in her own armoured hand, DC spoke in an icy voice>>

Ororo, Mother, Alessandra....Titania, Brenthon, Ikaris....Morpheus, Elektra....

we stand before you today, remembering you, we honor you for all that you were as individuals AND as a group. we were a family, we loved each other, we fought together and our forces were unlike any other.

<< pausing as the winds howled a bit more than before and gusted...some leaves blew by as the weeping wilow tree above them swayed >>

When you died....I was crushed to my core. I lost myself and became something...inhuman. In my quest to lose myself in darkness and never feel...i dishonored you all. I had no right to do that....

<< she stepped forward, letting go of persephone's hand as she kneeled >>

Please forgive me....all of you. I love you.....I miss you...and I'll never EVER ...forget you.

<< thunder rumbled in the air all around them...and as the winds whipped suddenly there was a chime in the air....many trees, of all heights and ages in the garden who had leaves began to rustle more and more, it was like a WAVE was coming. and then....the faint subtle sparkling trail of GREEN ORBS flowed down from the black skies above....down toward Persephone and DC. This was ORORO's "power signature">>

<< the trail flowed around Persephone and then DC....it flowed slowly around each head stone as well . and as the winds continued to rush more than they had before, sweeping around DC and Persephone almost "kissing" their skin with its cool, refreshing touch and ALSO flowing around the women of The Six. And even MORE surprsing, the most MYSTERIOUS SOUND could be heard....>>

<< very faint...very subtle>>

Ororo's voice in the wind: and we love you, my child. the both of you!

<< DC looked up and around...the chimes played softly in the air as the garden seemed to be breathing new air as the winds flowed.>>

Darkchilde: << in a soft voice>>: Ororo??

<< she looked up at Persephone as she slowly stood up....>>

Did you hear??

<< even as she asked her sister wraith, the winds began to slowly settle....and the soft humming of Ororo's bewitching voice could be heard in the trees and all around the skies...it was so faint but it seemed to blend in with the winds themselves. Was this POSSIBLE? this WAS , after all, Ororo's domain. It was the ULTIMATE symbol of her triumph over the evil and corruption of Limbo and Belasco's demonic touch on her soul and even in death, though the garden oasis did suffer, it did not DIE....and perhaps, neither did the spirits of Ororo herself and the rest of MoE. WIth Darkchilde finally facing them and honoring them....maybe they were now ALL at peace.>>

powerful post. ah.... the nostalgia.
Ororo's garden

As Guardian explained everything to the sister Wraiths, Blaze watched on with a grim expression as the past was revealed. Her green irises dropping immediately, her body language shifting. Her arms covering her vulnerable heart, the memory STILL painful to her and the other women of the Six. Her usual fierce eyes depicting a sullen sadness to them, one that any family member would understand.

Turning to her side she tucked a piece of lose chocolate locks behind her ear. Her eyes gazing upon Darkchilde and Persephone, for any sort of reaction. She was taken back by their sympathy, but it was to be understandable. The mutant was glad they understood the pain, misery, and sadness they felt for their sister and comrade, just like the Six felt for DC and Persephone.

Fox glanced up quickly as Alison addressed Ororo. Her heart sunk inside her chest with her eyes going wide with worry. Would Darkchilde handle this? Or would she lose herself with grief once more? Darkchilde seemed to be discussing the matter with her friend around the same time she brought the whole entourage to another realm.

Blaze had to adjust due to the abrupt circumstances of the Demon Sorceress' transportation. She realized they had been transported back to Ororo's garden. The raw odor of this realm highly noticeable. The rare oak tree dwarfing other plants and trees easily as it stood out like a sore thumb.

The mutant quietly following Darkchilde and Persephone. Her eyes re - reading the grave stones but she frowned. She was missing one...that faerie creature. The winds changed their stagnant to reveal fresh - crisp air. Foxfire eyed Darkchilde, was this her doing?

Ororo's faint soulful voice whispered across the women. Blaze looked around, trying to locate the witch, but found nothing. This realm was truly enchanting. Blaze stepped out from the group to address Darkchilde.

"Although I do not know you per say Darkchilde, you remind me of my sister Spellbinder immensely. I am sorry for your loss for I understand and sympathize for you, your family, and friends. But through my journey's on this earth and other realms, is that no matter what life has in store for you you'll always be watched over by your loved ones. As corny as that sounds....its what gets me through my difficult times. I may not physically see them but I know in my heart they are there. And although you carry a wintery elegance about you...your still human. And I think Ororo is here with us...she's looked after all of us, gave us support and guidance when the hour was up, she is a mother to us all despite our conflicting alignments."

Foxfire stopped as she locked eyes with Darkchilde, her green eyes shimmering to life and vibrancy. "Like Morgan, you fought for your friends and family...do not blame yourself. Morgan did that when I was kil." Blaze bit down on her bottom lip, "when Morgan lost herself to become the dark childe. Through these difficult times I realize how precious my friends and family are. You may be down in your numbers but you do have Persephone. And as cunningly wicked as she is...I can tell she'll be side by side with you until the very end."

Stepping back in line with her friends, Blaze grew quiet once more.
