:: Alexis' body began to fade in an out exactly as Black's did. It was as if Shockwave was Black's reelection in a mirror. The moment Black began to howl, Shockwave began to scream in great pain...but she did not dare let go. The more energy being withdrawn from Black the weaker it left him. But the more Alexis went on with her attack...the quicker it was killing her. Dropping to her knees, it took all Alexis' strength to keep her hand in an upright position. Her limbs were going numb, her head was spinning, it felt as if she was burning from the inside out. She had never in her LIFE felt energy like this. Although she was in a state of shock, she could hear everything that was happening around her--Spellbinders pled for her to let go, the mention of a stepping disk...nevertheless, Alexis continued on. The cloud around Black pulsed...it was now as opaque as ever...the amount of energy Alexis withdrew from Black was astonishing for the pure fact that she could even hold as long as she had to continue with the attack. But what her "teammates" underestimated about Alexis, was when she put her mind to something, she was hardly going to give up. She had the heart and soul of a fighter...the one thing Adam ever taught her that actually was helpful. ::
:: Alexis' white eyes soon clouded to black. The blue halo around her hand soon followed suite. Again, she heard Guardian and Spellbinder shouting at one another about the use of a stepping disk to sever the connection between Black and herself....and she knew they were going to go through with the plan any moment. Finally, with all her might, Alexis stood to her feet, growling in pain. Pulling her hand back, still palm facing forward, the black cloud formed into a sphere. The energy from Black was so dark and so dense, the sphere looked solid. Alexis then thrusted her hand forward as the ball of Black's energy flew upwards and crashed into the ceiling above. The ball simultaneously crashed into each above level of the citadle, once getting to a new level, the energy spread out like a shockwave, destroying EVERYTHING in it's path. The entire citadle roared and rumbled from the massive release of energy, until finally, the energy reached the top of the citadle and shot out in a form of a black beam, across the New York skyline. Alexis wasn't about to have Black intact any of his energy back---so she did the one thing that came to her mind, destroy the citadle with the creature Adam and Christopher sent to destroy them with. Debris came crashing down everywhere, but for the most part, the energy that was shot throughout the top floors of the citadle destroyed everything to the point of ash-- therefore the debris was limited ::
:: The moment the attack was over, Alexis screamed in horrible pain as she dropped back down to her knees and severed the connection with Black. The scream was so bloodcurdling...it seemed as if her father himself could hear it on the lower levels of the citadle. But soon, her painful scream faded as Alexis was pulled into a stepping disk by Spellbinder. She was only gone for a few moments before reappearing east of Black. Still on her knees, she was hunched over with her heard tucked face down to the ground. Soon the black ora disappeared, making Alexis more visible to the others. Gashes and what looked like burn wounds were all over her body. Smoke emitted from the wounds, looking like she was burned from the inside out. Her suite was still intact, but where there were gashes, there were opening on her suite. Panting, Alexis was in the worst pain she had ever experienced in her life....but as she mustered up the strength to look up, she saw Black was slowly being defeated by the attacks from the woman. ::
:: Alexis' normally brilliant blue eyes were dull, her face was pale, all of Alexis' energy was completely gone....Shock needed an energy boost NOW, otherwise she was no help to the others. She could work passed the pain of the gashes, passed the sick feeling like she was still burning inside, passed the painful breaths she took in from what felt like smoke inhalation. But she couldn't do anything unless she absorbed some well needed energy. Slumping over to her side, Alexis continued to take in shaky painful breaths, surveying the area with her eyes to see if there was anything that looked like energy that she could suck up. ::
