GUIDEBOOK for the Infernal Legions
Greetings Master of Evil! This Guidebook will give you helpful hints and a general outline for fightning in All Hell Breaks Loose (AHBL), our battle forum. This guidebook is designed for newbies, but it doesn't hurt the seasoned MoE member to look at it every once in awhile to refresh their memory
Please read Masters of Evil: "At-a-Glance" along with the GUIDEBOOK!
-*- The first thing you should do is to browse around
The Oracle's Lair and familiarize yourself with your character. You will not defeat any Guardian of Light (GoL) unless you first understand yourself!
---------- You should know all there is to know about your specie! The catalogue is located in The Oracle's Lair, in the thread Catalogue of Species. It is YOUR responsibility to keep track of the powers and abilities for your specie. The table for specie-related powers can be found in The Oracle's Lair in the thread titled Species/Character Type Power Tables and Definitions. You should know at what level which power manifests itself!
---------- You should keep track of the general powers that manifest themselves as you progress through the levels! These can be found in The Oracle's Lair, in the thread Power Levels and Training
---------- You should become familiar with The Darkhold, our Dark Book of Shadows. Remember spells are useful in battle, but they are NOT everything! Spells should be used as a means of defense, to augment an attack, or to hinder your opponet....they should NEVER be your soul use of attacks/defenses. If you use a spell remember to always have a "Plan B" because your spell could be countered, blocked, deflected, etc.....All members are encouraged to submit spells to be added to its pages! PM your spell to Darkchilde for approval!
--------------------You should NOT use any spells that exceede your level without prior approval from a Dire Wraith or Damion!
---------- Remember to keep track of your Demonic Rewards (Talismans and Enchantments).
-*- Use Trials and Tribulations to its full extent. Get involved in the tournaments and fights. Grow and learn from one another which is what a family does!
---------- Take advantave of the Personal Observations thread in this forum. Add to it, it will only be as good as you the member makes it!
---------- If you're having trouble PM any Dire Wraith or Damion for assistance. You may also ask your fellow Masters of Evil for advice and tips.
---------- Keep an eye on The Ungodly Council which is where you sign up for tournaments and other training activities.
-*- Our Burning Up forum provides members with special attributes to help them in battle! Purchase special potions, magical clothing, weapons, and attack pets at the Midnight Plaza.
----------Take note that these items will help you in battle, but they shold NOT be relied upon!
-*- After you have practiced and toned your skills you should participate in the battle forum here, All Hell Breaks Loose (AHBL). This is where the Masters of Evil and the guardians of light meet to battle to the death!
---------- Be familiar with the Battle Rules of the AHBL! You should keep track of the rules so you do not break them, and also if you see any member breaking the rules alert a Dire Wraith or Damion immediately by PM!
---------- You should join the battle threads only if you intend to fight! Do NOT join and forget to post a clear "leaving" post so you do not leave yourself open to attack!
---------- Newbies should enter battle threads that already contain seasoned MoE members or enter in groups so they may back one another up incase trouble occurs. Entering alone is risky and should only be done against other low level GoLs or when you become more seasoned.
---------- Don't Play With Your Food! That's right folks mamma was right all along. When you enter battles a little play is OK, however do not let it drag on. Our purpose is to KILL and MAIM the GoLs. The longer you prolonge their death the more open you become to death yourself!
---------- You are allowed to be healed 3 times within a battle by any leader of your coven! I suggest that you use the 3 times Healing mind you, not restoration of life!
---------- Never underestimate the GoLs. Yes we are better than them in almost every way, but never think you will totally dominate. Be prepared and expect the unexpected!
BATTLE RULES
- No technical weapons of any kind. (Machine guns, bombs, ect.)
- Fighting remains in the fight forum and nowhere else - so don't try picking fights in rule threads or information threads.
- All players who enter this forum do so at their own risk. This is a battle forum; all entrances and exits most be clearly posted, failure to do so could result in deadly consequences for your character.
- Posts should be as realistic as possible. This means that if and when you are attacked you should suffer some sort of damage. It's no fun if you are playing against someone who manages to dodge every attack without injury. By being affected in some way by the attacks it makes it fair for both sides.
- You must play your character correctly, using the proper powers and abilities for your level. The leaders will know if you abuse your powers and/or use powers not covered in your specie.
- If you see a move that you think is invalid, please see a leader from your side and they will look into it immediately.
- No editing of posts allowed - if you pay attention to the fight then you won't have to edit in the first place.
- Amulets and weapons cannot be taken from their owners by any means.
- Honor your battles: don't gang up on an enemy. 2 on 1 at a time; if this rule is broken, contact a leader immediately and the situation will be taken care of.
- Please limit the number of OOC (Out Of Character) posts, and remember to post BIC (Back In Character) after an OOC post.
- NO Lower level fighting threads are aloud in AHBL. Two forums have already been open that level 2 members and lower are aloud to fight in. If any other lower level fighting threads are created, they will be deleted immediately.
- NO I Dare you threads are aloud to be created without approval of either a Dire Wraith, or a Mistress of Light.
- All fighting threads that are opened will have ALL AHBL Rules within them. The only rule that you may take out are: 1.) Physical ONLY 2.) No weapons and 3.) No Spells.
- You cannot repeatedly attack someone without giving them a chance to respond. Therefore, you must wait for 24 hours to elapse before you can post attacking them again.
- If you need healing of any kind, contact a leader and they will heal you. Alternately, you can contact a member of your side that has the ability to heal you - i.e., some species have the abilities to partially heal wounded. If you leave the thread because you are too wounded to continue, you have forfeited your right to fight and thus have lost the fight.
- You may only be healed 3 times within the entire fight.
- A person MUST be at least 3 levels higher than the cursee to cast the instant death spell. Once the spell is cast, the member who casted the instant death can no longer CAST spells in the thread. **There is no avoiding instant death spells. Once the spell is cast, the person who it was cast upon MUST die.**
- When a spell is cast by a member, the spell LASTS as long as the member's level. For example, A level 2 casts a spell, the spell lasts 2 posts.
- Once you have been killed in a thread you cannot return to that thread, although you are welcome to participate in any of the other fight threads.
- No one will take their character outside the fight forum - that is, there will be no bashing, name calling etc. of anyone, anywhere else on the boards. If this happens then normal rules relating to this conduct will be enforced. "I was just playing my MOE/GOL character" will not be considered a reason.
- Remember that within this forum you are to play your character as best as you can - after all, this is a group RPG!
