Quentin Tarantino is at it again...this time he offers his dark and twisted take on the "exploitation" horror/slasher films of the 70's and 80's in set featuring two 60 minute films...Starring Rose McGowan and Kurt Russell along with Mikey Rourke

I definately want to see this, if for no other reason than to see Rose back in a role more fitting than Paige Matthews from Charmed :rolleyes:
 
When I was in LA and saw Rose McGowen, Rosario Dawson, and Kurt Russell, this was the movie they were doing pre production meetings for at the Sportsmens Lodge. So i'll be defintely seeing it for that fact alone. LOL
 
I have been wanting to see this FOREVER! They had all these posters at this movie theater in Nevada and I thought I missed it but thankfully I haven't! Yay! Rose McGowan with a fire arm leg! haha! I love it!
 
the fact that this is supposed to be his own "take" on the exploitation "slasher" films of the 70's and 80's is why i want to see more than anything. horror movies of TODAY try too hard to be "high brow" and "clever" and most of them end up being a bore.

the "golden age" of horror films has long passed and i dont think there's been anything DECENT since the first two scream films...even the third film seemed to be more FUNNY and less scarey.

to see Rose Mcgowan involved in a film that promises to be violent and gory is just what the doctor ordered. she does dark, bitchy, femme fatale roles quite well.
 
i saw a preview for this movie just last night. i dont know how i like seeing Rose with that "fire leg" contraption..it seems kind of cooky...reminds me of "Ash" from "Evil Dead/Army of Darkness" movies when he grafted the chainsaw onto his arm.

(April 3) -- As if 'Grindhouse' didn't already have enough sex and scandal, reports of a no-holds-barred on-set affair between star Rose McGowan and married co-director Robert Rodriguez are giving the movie even more heat.

According to reports in Page Six http://www.nypost.com/seven/04032007/gossip/pagesix/pagesix.htmhttp://www.nypost.com/seven/04032007/gossip/pagesix/pagesix.htm, Rodriguez, who has been married for 16 years and has five children, was involved in an affair with McGowan, the former fiancee of Marilyn Manson that became "the worst-kept secret on the set." Even worse, Rodriguez's wife was on-set for the entire duration, as she served as co-producer on 'Grindhouse.'

"They were going off to his trailer, having meals together," Page Six's source says. "Rose thought some of the crew were treating her differently, and the attitude was, like, well what do you expect when you're [bleeping] the director?"

When Rodriguez's wife found out about the fling, "there was an eruption of emotions - an emotional volcano," a source said.

Rodriguez and his wife are currently separated, but claim the split is amicable.
