Here's a fun moment from a staple of ABC'S "TGIF" , "Family Matters!" It was initially a spin-off of "Perfect Strangers" & meant to be a vehicle for JoMarie Payton (Harriet). How many remember this show?

Trivia:

• Telma Hopkins (Rachel) is an actual singer, and sang the hooks in this song. She's also from Detroit!
• THREE cast members of FM would go on to appear on the day time soap opera, The Young & The Restless.

Harriet, Rachel & Eddie were my favs! & Darius Mccary (Eddie) grew up to be FINE! he was one of the ones that went on to Y&R.

I really loved Family Matters...one of my favorites is when they did the "Sam spade" murder mysteries. I always loved aunt Rachel and when she had her restaurant. I also really did love Laura too.

Who was the third person to be on Y&R? I know Darius has been on it and "Little Richie" - who is not so little anymore - is still on it. One of my favourite couples on Y&R - not to hijack this thread lol - was Devon and Roxy [who was played by none other than Ashley Banks aka Tatyana Ali].

My favourite was Laura...until she went off on Steve in that one episode where he had this machine to turn him into cool, suave, Stefan and somehow it broke down or whatever. That completely turned me off of her. And then Steve busted his ass off trying to please her. If I were Steve, I would've kicked her to the curb.
