A Weekend Affair # 5 - The White Brunch

Hellfire - The Catacombs

She had been wanting him, but in the chaos of the morning they hadn’t had the chance to be together yet, and want built into a need that could not be denied a second longer. She didn’t even want to wait the length of time it would take to go upstairs, she had to have him here, now, and he answered her sense of urgency with his own.

The clothes came off quickly, and then there was nothing between them again. Haleigh pulled herself up into his arms, her legs encircling his waist as she kissed him. She moaned loudly when he entered her, her head thrown back, her eyes watching his face. She thought she would come just from that, for a moment.

He claimed her mouth too, and she kissed him deeply, as he backed roughly into the table, sending torture implements clattering as they moved together. He made her feel powerful again, here in this dark cold dungeon where it smelled of blood and charred meat. She wasn’t worried about being vulnerably pregnant anymore, she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he would kill anyone who threatened her, even if it was her husband.

Alek: Haleigh... you’re so warm.... and tight....

"You make me so wet..."

She smiled down at him, as she watched his mouth on her breast, and squeezed him within her as she cradled his head to her chest. He brought her down forcefully, and she gasped in pleasure. She gripped his body with her knees, and rocked her hips with his, so they could keep hitting hard and fast, as she felt the pleasure build towards release.

"Look at me,"

She said, her hands in his hair, tilting his head back so she could lock eyes with him.

"I love you."

She finished breathlessly, and then her body bucked, and she cried out in pleasure as she came.

Hellfire -- The Red Queen’s Suite

He took it slow, this time, so she could feel every inch, so he could make it last the whole short hour they had until she needed to meet her sister Queens again. He didn't want to nap, he didn't want to waste a second sleeping more than what was needed to survive, not when he could have her instead.

The sounds she made were encouraging, and when she called his name, his first name, it was as if his name had never been spoken before. When she called him her Knight, her Savage, he didn't ever want to be anything else, for all time, but hers.

"I wish we could stay like this, always...."

He said, his arm snaking under her body to wrap around and pull her close. His other hand found hers, and intertwined their fingers tightly, as he kept his hips moving steady, not too fast now.

"I like to make you moan...."

He told her, as he rolled more on top of her, kissing her neck again, nipping at her ear.

"Moan for me, My Ashley..."

He said, pressing himself as deeply into her as he could, while he kissed her throat, her jawline, her cheeks, and whatever else fell under his lips.

The Black King & Queen’s Suite

He watched her, her mouth on him, undressing in front of him. It was like a dream, this beautiful woman, the most beautiful woman in the world, wanting him, asking nothing in return. He felt like a king, or a god.

A god who was having a difficult time stringing words together.

The things she could do to him, make him completely lose control of himself - when his whole life was about keeping control of himself. But he couldn’t let her bring him like a servant, he couldn’t finish without pleasing her. It just wasn’t in his makeup. He pushed himself up and pulled her to his lap, filling her, making her gasp, a sound which turned him on even more.

His voice was husk and urgent, yet it wasn't until he sat up that Ava finally released him just in time for John to literally grab her like she weighed nothing and pull her into his lap - a gasp of surprised escaping her lips. He knew he couldn’t last long, so he tried to bring her as quickly as possible.

Ava: "John...i'm close...[lifting her head] i'm close..."

He felt her clutch at him, body tensing, and it felt so intimate. He held her tight as she came, and finally let himself go.

He was breathing hard, and kep whispering, “I love you” over and over in her ear, holding her to him and not letting go.

Ava: "Way better than shopping..."

He chuckled, and then she kissed him, and he felt so close to her. He stroked her hair, and then the skin of her arms.

“I promise to take you another time.”

He kissed the end of her nose.

“And we are definitely doing that Victoria’s Secret thing.”

The Catacombs

What they were doing could only have been described as fucking. It wasn’t making love, but not for lack of feeling, at least not on Alek’s part. On the contrary, he wanted her too much to be slow and gentle. He had to have all of her immediately, or he would surely die.

Her smiles for him, the way her eyes locked with his own, somehow these were more intimate gestures from her than anything the rest of their bodies did together.

She made him look at her, her hands in his hair.

Haleigh: "I love you."

He couldn’t help but smile at that, because this time he believed her. He pressed his mouth against hers as she came, feeling it travel from her body to his own. He clutched her to him, his face close to hers.

“Oh god, Haleigh...I love you so much...I’d follow you to hell and back...”

Ava's body trembled in John's arms as they both panted heated breaths of air. John's mouth was by her ear as she nuzzled his neck, kissing his skin softly. He kept whispering that he loved her making Ava tighten her grasp on him.

"I love you, always. Always..."

She whispered back, her mouth still gently tasting his neck as they both came down from the high they gave each other. Finally, Ava pulled back enough to meet John's eyes, a small smile forming on her lips. She joked about how this was far better than going shopping, making him chuckle.

John: “I promise to take you another time.”

She gently shook her head, her chocolate locks tumbling down her shoulders in a cascade of wavy silk.

"It's okay."

She really didn't need to shop. Plus, she'd rather spend her free time in bed with John than trying on clothing at a department store when she could easily have it delivered to their chambers. He kissed her nose, making her smile grow.

John: “And we are definitely doing that Victoria’s Secret thing.”

That made Ava chuckle.

"That I can get behind."

She agreed, her smile pressing against John's lips before it melted into an intimately long kiss. Her hands slid up John's back as she sat in his lap, guiding around to either side of his face and holding him put. Finally, she parted their lips, Ava laying down along side John, their legs tangled together and her arm draped across his chest while her head rested in the crook of his neck. Sighing out happily, her black lacquered nails began to gently trace a pattern along his dark skin as she stared forward toward a picture of herself, Haleigh and Ashley that sat on top of the dresser across the room. Her mind went to what Ashley had said in the conservatory, about Cameron's whereabouts and how he had left to see Elena. Ava lowered her eyes in thought, hesitant before she spoke.

"John? Can I ask you something?"

Haleigh and Cameron had always had a connection to each other, even when they were children. Even when Haleigh dated Zach, they could never get out of each other's orbits. It was almost like they were destined to be together, yet somehow they couldn't quite get there without testing other waters first. Ava never had a serious relationship with a boy when she was younger, nor with a man when she was older. She had flings and one night stands and men who fell in love with her only for her to break their heart in return. But that was Ava. Most people didn't treat love like a toy that would inevitably break, and she wondered, if John had loved someone before her.

"I won't be upset...i'm just curious..."

She prefaced, wanting to make sure he understood this wasn't some trick question that would get him in trouble regardless of the answer he gave.

"Ashley told me in the conservatory that they had a lead as to where Cameron went. Apparently, went to see Elena in Mexico...."

There was no need to explain the situation any further, John very much aware of Cameron and Elena's love and almost marriage before Cameron dumped her for Haleigh. Ava tilted her head to look up at John.

"Did you have an Elena? Someone you loved before?"

The history ran deep in Hellfire, relationships intertwining and changing like the tides. But John had always been so professional that Ava truly didn't know if he had ever loved someone before her, or if he had just mindlessly fucked woman like she had men.

It was as awkward as anticipated, but he also knew that Elena would be able to sense Heidi's mind and know that she hadn't been tasked with taking Carolina anywhere, that she hadn't even known this place existed until she had been sent here. The White King moved towards his Knight as she took a lowered tone to inform him of the goings on in the mansion. It was surprising. For a few moments, Cameron had been pretending that Hellfire almost didn't exist - and it had been remarkably freeing. To just be in Mexico, with Elena, with his daughter and not have the shackles of his legacy tugging at him at every turn. Still, he couldn't deny that when he saw Heidi, a person who was like him, he was relieved. It was good to see her. He had missed her. Out of those left in the mansion, there were few that he could trust. Haleigh would likely strong arm Ava into backing her, Alek was in her pocket already, and Ashley would act in whatever way protected the interests of the entire club, which at this point, meant a united front. At least he could trust his Knight. She would never turn on him.

Heidi: "Security is on high alert, Haleigh has surrounded herself with the Red Court, and Our Queen sent me on a swim across almost five thousand miles to tell you 'we need to talk'. I'd say it's pretty bad."

[Cameron scoffed for a moment, a bit hurt]

"Not bad enough for her to seek me out herself. But I digress."

Heidi made mention of Carolina and it sent a shockwave of chills down his body. The White Knight had seen her, talked to her. Carolina was no longer invisible to Hellfire. Part of him wanted to wipe Heidi's memory clean of the entire encounter immediately, but he knew he couldn't. If he wanted Carolina in his life, which he did, badly, he was going to have to do what it took to secure her safety and her future, and there was nobody on his court he trusted more for that than his Knight.

Heidi: "Is that girl your daughter???"

Cameron nodded.

"What's that saying? About life and death coming in threes? Well..it's certainly sucker punched me in the gut in the last twenty four hours.."

He touched Heidi's shoulder, turning her around from them for a moment, as they continued to speak.

"I shouldn't have left the mansion like that. Especially without informing you of where I was going. But while you may navigate waters easily [gesturing around him] all of this is levels I'm just not used to swimming in. I hadn't been planning on coming here..I let my mind..my heart take me. And it led to her [Carolina]. So par for the course, I've made a royal fucking mess of things...that being said.."

He gripped her arm a bit tightly, though not in an aggressive manner.

"She's my mess. And if anybody ever comes at her in retaliation against me or out of revenge, I will personally skin each and every last one of their living family members alive and unbury their dead and piss on them, and I expect the same from my Knight."

Cameron let go of her arm and softened before looking at her in the eyes.

"I am going to return to the mansion tonight, and I hope to be escorted in by my Knight. But I cannot go now. I made a promise to a very beautiful little girl and her mother that I would have dinner with them, and I intend to do so..."

[sighing]

"I do not wish to place you in harm's way with The White Queen, but I require a bit of discretion. You will need to stay on the grounds until I am ready to leave. I am sure there are guest accommodations...and the water seems quite nice, right? Take the afternoon off and I am all yours to take back to Hellfire in time for The Red Party."

The Red Queen’s Suite

He connected to her, and gods it felt like there was noone else in the world. The way he moved, like he wanted her to feel every centimeter of movement.

AJ: "I wish we could stay like this, always...."

It brought tears to her eyes, and she was not a crying person. But he seemed to bring emotion out of her.

“Whenever I am away from you...all I can think of is touching you again.”

He intertwined their fingers as he held her close, and it felt electric. The others could dismiss this as a queen choosing a hot young body to fuck, but it had never been that beyween them. From the start, from the first time he had gazed on her with those honey eyes, she had been drawn to him. Yes, to his body, but more than that. A spiritual connection. The others might think him dumb, a thug who followd her around. But she knew different.

“I love you, so much.”

He held her so close, his hips pushing him inside her, but not with urgency. He was making it last.

“If I could stay in this room with you forever, I would. You are the reason I have lived so long.”

AJ: "I like to make you moan...."

Gods, he made her hot. He rolled her onto her back, his mouth at her neck, her ear. Her breath hitched in her throat.

“You are my only alpha...”

AJ: "Moan for me, My Ashley..."

It took no effort, because he has pressed deep into her, filling her, so that all she could do was moan, he made her feel so. His lips kissed her, projecting his love onto her, and where she had questioned others’ love before, questioned his even, now she did not. She was out of her mind with pleasure, but that was how he always made her feel. Like there could never be anyone else. Like he would never forget her the way Alek had. Like she was alive for the first time. And when next he touched her, it would be the same, always better than the last.

She writhed underneath his body, her hand clutching his where their fingers linked. Her breasts pressed against his chest as held held her against his honey skin. Her moans grew louder, involuntarily, as he brought her closer. She was out of her mind, and at once wanted it to end but didn’t want it to.

“I never want anyone to touch me but you.”

The tears of joy fell freely now. There was no need to hide from him. Her mate.

“We are one. I will never leave your side. I promise.”

And then she came, like a storm hitting land. Her body ceased, bucked. She cried out loudly, she moaned. There was no need to embellish it, because the breadth of feeling was so strong.

“I would die if you left me.”

Elena held Carolina, the same way she had when the girl was a toddler. But her chest stood a little prouder as she realized that Cameron’s wife had not come for him herself, but had instead sent her lackey. But along with that, Elena knew that Cameron’s knight wasn’t stupid, that she would make the connection between her daughter and Cameron.

But Elena could also see that Cameron intended to protect Carolina, that this underling was not there to take her, and that he was not going back on his promises. At least not yet.

She looked down at her beautiful daughter, the one she had made with the man she loved, and smiled.

“Senor King is going to stay for dinner. Would you like that?”

Carolina: “Oh yes, please. Can he come to mass with us?”

Elena glanced at Cameron, who was rejoining them.

“I don’t think he wants to, mija.”

Carolina turned to him excitedly.

Carolina: “Oh, please come. They light all these candles, and it’s so pretty. And then Sofia from the village sings. You’ll love it.”

She looked up with pleading eyes at Cameron.

The Black King and Queen’s Suite

Steel was overcome. He kept saying he loved her. And god, he did. So much.

Ava: "I love you, always. Always..."

His mind wasn’t far from sex - he was a man after all - and even when apologizing that he hadn’t taken her shopping as promised, he was gearing up to watch her try on lingerie.

They lay together, wrapped in each other’s arms, nothing more perfect in John’s estimation.

Ava: "John? Can I ask you something?"

His arms were wrapped around her, and her fingers were tracing patterns soothingly on his chest.

“Anything.”

Ava: "I won't be upset...i'm just curious..."

Those were loaded words.

Ava: "Ashley told me in the conservatory that they had a lead as to where Cameron went. Apparently, went to see Elena in Mexico...."

“Oh, fuck.”

He may have not been privy back then to all the ins and outs of the inner circle, but he sure as hell knew the story of how Cameron had left his fiancee for Haleigh.

Ava: "Did you have an Elena? Someone you loved before?"

She was looking up at him, and he was looking down at her in surprise.

“Ava...don’t you know?”

He couldn’t believe she even was asking, that this wasn’t a question she knew the answer to already. But she seemed to truly be asking.

“Don’t you know?”

His hand rubbed her upper arm.

“Yes, I had my own Elena. My Elena...was you.”

He smiled.

“I loved you from the second you walked into that club. You were the most amazing and beautiful thing I had ever seen. And I have loved you from that moment until now.”

He leaned down to softly kiss her lips.

“There has never been anyone else. And I never thought you would ever feel about me, the way I felt about you. You are the only woman I have ever loved, and the only one I plan on loving.”

As Ava laid tangled within John's arms, her head resting on his chest listening to the steady beating of his heart, a thought had occurred to her. Perhaps he had an Elena of his own. Ava was curious to know, not because she wanted to start a fight or out of jealousy, but because she wanted to know every aspect of John's life that she may not have opened her eyes to before. He was such a private man that it was very possible for him to have worked for her for so many years and keep a romance under the radar. So despite a bit of hesitation, Ava finally told him that Cameron had gone to Mexico to seek out Elena.

John: “Oh, fuck.”

Ava's brows lifted as if to answer 'exactly' to his feelings on the situation. Tilting her head up to look at him, she finally asked if he had loved someone before her. Despite it being an honest question of curiosity, Ava's stomach tensed with knots of anticipation. John looked down at her with surprise.

John: "Ava...don't you know?"

So there was someone. Her stomach dropped like she had just plunged down a massive rollercoaster at high speeds. Ava felt like everything she was feeling in that moment was somehow written all over her face causing her shaking her head and look down, playing off his question casually.

"You're so private...I didn't want to assume...."

Of course he loved someone else. What did she really expect? He was a man with needs, and Ava had been so shut off at the entire concept of love, how could she expect anything else?

John: “Yes, I had my own Elena."

Even though she had asked him, wanting to know, his words still felt like a knife in her gut. But she nodded anyway. She had asked for it, she wasn't about to make him feel bad for telling her his truth.

"Okay.....who..?"

She softly responded, feeling John's hand gently rub up and down her arm.

John: "My Elena...was you.”

Ava immediately lifted her head and looked up at John. It was her turn to look surprised, her brows furrowed and lips parted as she searched John's eyes for confirmation of his words.

"What..."

Her words barely a whisper. He had told her many times before he had always loved her, but she never believed he wouldn't be with anyone but her when there was no guarantee that Ava would ever open her heart to anyone.

John: “I loved you from the second you walked into that club. You were the most amazing and beautiful thing I had ever seen. And I have loved you from that moment until now.”

He leaned down and pressed his lips gently against hers, but Ava barely kissed him back, still taken aback by his words. Still processing what he had just told her.

John: “There has never been anyone else. And I never thought you would ever feel about me, the way I felt about you. You are the only woman I have ever loved, and the only one I plan on loving.”

Ava stared at John for a long moment before she lifted herself up, taking his face within her hands, and pressed her lips to his, kissing him passionately. There were no words to express to him how he just made her feel - to know that this man, who had been with her since she was a teenager, loved her and continued to love her until she let herself accept love. That he held out for her, never knowing if she ever would reciprocate his feelings. It was an overwhelming feeling knowing she was always his, even when she wasn't.

"Good. I would have killed her."

She said as her lips still pressed against his. A smile tugged on the corners before she kissed him deeply again, her threat not a lie. She would have killed this possible old flame without a second thought, never wanting a situation like that of Cameron running off to revenge fuck his old love. But no, he didn't have an old love. He had her. Ava finally parted their lips, her eyes remaining shut as she rested her forehead against his.

"I'm sorry it took me so long to let you in. I was so scared of love....I was scared of getting my heart broken like my mother..."

Ava finally pulled back enough to look into John's eyes.

"But i've loved you for as long as I can remember, John. I always thought it was a love that someone felt for a friend....[shaking her head] but I know, looking back, I was in denial trying to protect my heart."

Ava's hand was gentle on his cheek, her lips a hairs whisper away from his.

"But you've always had it. You've always had my heart. And you always will....until my last breath."

Ava's words tapered off as she kissed John once again, deeply and lovingly, never wanting it to stop. She melted back into his arms, her kiss traveling down his bearded cheek, neck, and finally his chest before Ava laid her head back onto it. She gently etched her fingers along his bearded cheek, shutting her eyes and finally relaxing.

Colima, Mexico - La Hacienda De Estrada

Heidi gave her King a situation report, and then she asked about the little girl she had been talking to. Instinctively she knew the answer, could connect the dots. This girl was the daughter of Elena, of that there was no doubt, but something about her, and the way Cameron interacted with both mother and daughter.

Heidi suspected Cameron was the little girl's father, and he confirmed it with a nod. This severely complicated matters, but Heidi took it in stride. Cameron mentioned something about life and death coming in threes, though Heidi didn't get the reference, and figured it was some American idiom.

"Does our Queen know?"

She asked directly. Cameron began to say he shouldn't have left the way he did, that he hadn't planned on this, that he'd made a royal mess of things. She saw no reason to debate any of that, since she barely understood the depth of what they were in, though the more he talked the more she gleaned.

"So, are you and Haleigh fighting because you had a child out of wedlock, or because said child is a threat to the line of succession of your son with her?"

She asked, because those were two different animals to deal with. Cameron gripped her arm tightly, and Heidi peered at him curiously, since it was not something he had ever done before. She could see the conviction in his gaze as he spoke of what he would do to anyone who threatened retaliation of revenge. Did he think that was what she was here for?

"My King.... I'm not one for flaying people alive, nor pissing on dead bodies... but I think I take your meaning. As far as I know, no one intends revenge. Our Queen wasn't even sure you would be here. She made no mention of the girl, or even how Elena should be regarded. Her only instruction was to deliver the message, if I found you."

Cameron told her he intended to return with his Knight at his side. Heidi nodded silently. Then he said he promised to have dinner with his ex and their daughter.

"Alright, shall I report back that you received the message and will return at your leisure?"

She asked, presuming that would be what he wanted, but he gave different instruction, that he required discretion. Heidi wasn't sure why he didn't want to communicate with his wife, but it wasn't really her business so she shrugged in compliance.

"As you wish, My King."

She replied, ignoring the bad feeling she had about it, the little voice that said the avoidance and secrecy would only make things worse. But at least he wasn't asking her to go back and lie to her Queen. As far as it went for Heidi, her King requested she stay and wait, it was her duty to do so.

Hellfire - The Catacombs

Alek: Oh god, Haleigh... I love you so much.... I’d follow you to hell and back...

Haleigh smiled softly as she held herself to him.

“Well I’m glad you said that, because that guy over there—”

She pointed to the pile of remains.

“Said I should definitely go there. It sounds like a fun vacation from all this madness, so I was thinking of talking to Ava about maybe booking a trip....”

She started, and then she gave him a wry smile.

“Although at this point she might only offer me a one-way ticket.”

She finished, easing her feet down onto the ground. She went up on her toes to kiss him again, her hands coming gently out of his hair and down his chest slowly. She leaned against his body, reluctant to get dressed again. First of all because she didn’t want this to be over, but also because if she started getting dressed it meant thinking about what was next.

The Queen’s meeting. She trusted Ashley not to call her in for an ambush, but she still had reservations about going. Whatever happened, it wasn’t going to be fun. Haleigh was going to have to apologize, for what, she didn’t know, but it was surely her fault anyways. After all, this whole clusterfuck stemmed from Haleigh’s acceptance of Kelly’s offer, to give her husband something he wanted.

Something he apparently didn’t want anymore, because he’d ghosted out in a rage, and was probably planning on killing her, her children, and anyone who stood up for them. She shouldn’t have said yes. She should’ve told Kelly to shove that offer right up her bitter old ass. But as she stared up at Alek, lost in his gaze, hoping their daughter had his eyes, she realized she wouldn’t choose differently if she could go back.

“We should get dressed.... so I can go beg Ava to forgive me.... for something. Anything. Everything. But at least after I do that she might not help Cameron destroy us.”

Haleigh sighed, and then she raised a curious eyebrow at him, her hands still rubbing his chest.

“Hmmm.... do you think if I went to the meeting naked, it’d help or hurt my chances?”

The Catacombs

Haleigh went back to her default, humor, the intimate dialogue between them over. But she wasn’t pulling away from him, and that was something. She was talking about Ava, and how the Black Queen was certainly not sympathetic towards her.

She kissed him, and he held her about the waist, not wanting to let her go. He looked down into her eyes, wondering what she was thinking, what she was going to do.

Haleigh: “We should get dressed.... so I can go beg Ava to forgive me.... for something. Anything. Everything. But at least after I do that she might not help Cameron destroy us.”

He leaned in, his lips near her temple.

“Getting dressed sounds like a terrible idea.”

He found her face again.

“She should beg YOUR forgiveness. That she would support Cameron against you is madness.”

The whole case was clearly in Haleigh’s favor. Anyone who would support a man who would knowingly murder children - including one of his own - deserved to have their head torn off. And Alek vowed to make that happen. Whether it was Ava, Heidi, or the guy flipping the pancakes in the kitchen. They would come out of this strong, and every single person at Hellfire would know that to mess with rhe White Queen or the Red King meant death.

Her hands were rubbing his chest, and it was so soothing, he exhaled deeply.

Haleigh: “Hmmm.... do you think if I went to the meeting naked, it’d help or hurt my chances?”

He grinned, his mouth widening as the image firmly planted itself in his mind.

His hands slid from her waist down to cup her ass.

“I know you’d have MY support.”

He laughed.

“And probably Ashley’s. Ava could go either way though. Best not chance it. Plus, I might get jealous.”

He leaned down and pressed his lips against hers with a smirk.

“And neither of us wants that.”

Hellfire -- The Red Queen’s Suite

He never wanted to be any further apart from her than they were right now, and he told her that he wished they could stay like this always, as his hand took hers. She replied that whenever they were apart she could think of nothing but touching him again. He smiled softly, and kissed her lips.

Ash: I love you, so much.

"I love you, My Queen."

He whispered, pulling her closer, as she expressed wanting to stay in this room forever, that he was the reason she lived for so long.

"We were fated to be together, My Ashley."

He said, still moving within her as he kissed her body. He could feel an intense pulse down below, as his need grew exponentially, but this time he would not rush. He told her he wanted to make her moan, and she did, as he covered her body with his, burying his face in her hair.

Ash: I never want anyone to touch me but you. We are one. I will never leave your side. I promise.

He groaned with pleasure when her body shook, and the pressure that had been building within him burst suddenly. He came up on his elbows, so he could see her, and found there were tears in her eyes. For a moment he was stricken, thinking he had hurt her somehow, but then she spoke.

Ash: I would die if you left me.

His look of concern melted to one of adoration.

“Be not afraid. You will live eternally, for I will remain and ensure it.”

He replied, lowering his lips to hers for a long slow kiss.

The Red Queen’s Suite

He held her, and kissed her. Told her he loved her. She knew the reason she had been granted this long life was so she could be with him. But she despaired of all the years they had been apart whilst they both lived.

AJ: "We were fated to be together, My Ashley."

“That’s how it feels, like there was never anyone else I was meant to walk beside.”

His body was pressed against hers, and she wanted it to be. She needed to touch every part of him that she could. He kissed her body, moving slowly but with no less feeling.

They whispered tender words, caressing each other. This was the closeness Ashley craved, the intimacy which made her overwhelmed with feeling for him. And they came together, two halves of one whole. He hovered above her, looking down at her with his beautiful face, the tears in her eyes an expression of how overcome she was with emotion. She told him she would die if he left her.

AJ: “Be not afraid. You will live eternally, for I will remain and ensure it.”

He kissed her, long and slow, and when he pulled back, she reached up to stroke the hair at his temple.

“We will live together, then, forever.”

She pressed her body against his, her hands grasping his back and pulling him down against her. She smiled, and kissed him softly, before rolling with hims so she could snuggle against his chest, her cheek tucked into his shoulder,

“Tell me, what’s the first thing we’ll do when we get to the cabin?”

The idea of it was like a dream, of some far off place in another world. She breathed him in, knowing that he was beside her soothing her, making her sigh happily.

After a time, she lifted her head and looked into his face, questioning.

“Do you think me foolish, for protecting Haleigh, and Alek by extension? For not looking the other way, allowing Cameron to do as he pleases?”

It weighed on her, the toll her decision might take on him.

“Am I wrong?”

The Black King & Queen’s Suite

Ava wanted to know if he had a love like Cameron had Elena, some girl he pined for still. It surprised him, that she would even ask the question. That she didn’t already know the answer. But it soon became apparent by her reaction, that she didn’t understand his meaning. And then she came out and asked him.

Ava: "Okay.....who..?"

He smiled, telling her that she was his Elena. He thought that she knew, that everyone knew. He had loved Ava from the first minute he’d seen her, and he’d never loved anyone else. He’d never expected her to love him, not that way, but he had been content with that. As long as he was with her. Because there was no one else he wanted, but her.

“Who did you think I meant?”

The most surprising thing was her own surprise. And when it finally seemed to sink in, she took his face in her hands and kissed him, his lips smiling against hers.

Ava: "Good. I would have killed her."

Steel chuckled.

“I would have expected no less, my Queen.”

He grinned at her before she was kissing him again, and when she pulled back her forehead pressed against his.

Ava: "I'm sorry it took me so long to let you in. I was so scared of love....I was scared of getting my heart broken like my mother..."

“Shh...hush. It doesn’t matter. You waited until you were ready...”

She looked deep into his eyes, and he threatened to get lost in them.

Ava: "But i've loved you for as long as I can remember, John. I always thought it was a love that someone felt for a friend....[shaking her head] but I know, looking back, I was in denial trying to protect my heart."

“I never doubted that you loved me, friend or no.”

And it was true. She had saved his life, when she could have left him to a life of nothing. She was the only person who really cared about him.

Ava: "But you've always had it. You've always had my heart. And you always will....until my last breath."

They kissed, slowly and deeply, and then Ava was again in his arms, her body warm and soft against his skin.

“I spent so many years dreaming of this, being here, with you. And the reality is so much better than the dreaming.”

His fingers trailed down her back.

“What did I ever do to deserve you? My dark queen...”

Cameron was relieved that it had been Heidi who had came for him, but he certainly wasn't looking forward to returning to the mansion, though a sick part of him missed if, if only because he was incredibly nosy. This was his first time in a very long time he had willingly let himself be in the dark when it came to the goings on in the mansion. For the most part, he had his eyes and brain all over it, but the sound of his daughter's bright and bubbly voice piercing through the air with joy allowed him to be at peace with that for the moment.

When he rejoined them, he could hear Carolina asking if Cameron could go to mass with them, which was a deifferent beast than dinner altogether. Mostly because Cameron was a pretty resolute atheist, at least in terms of one great creator. Being a telepath had allowed him to perceive many realms of reality and perception, and growing up with people who could do things that would be considered god like in older times, it never made The White King much of a spiritual man. In fact, it brought him great comfort to know that the only person he truly had to answer to was himself.

Elena: "I don't think he wants to, mija."

Carolina shot her big and beautiful brown eyes his direction and in that instant he suddenly realized that whatever she wanted for the rest of time, she would likely get from him without much hesitation.

Carolina: "Oh, please come. They light all these candles, and it's so pretty. And then Sofia from the village sings. You'll love it."

Cameron smiled and laughed out loud. Her energy was infectious. He could clearly see her mother in her, but there were moments of him as well. In the insisting on other's doing her bidding part that is. She was so willful, and so sure of herself, and just completely unafraid of the world around her. You couldn't help but want that to rub off a bit on you. He knelt down and tucked a few strands of her wild hair behind her ears as she widened his eyes and arched his eyebrow, giving her a similar look.

"Well it certainly sounds like a lovely inivation, Senorita. I'd be delighted to escort you to mass. But first...."

He held his hand over his stomach and made a dramatic grumbling sound, before dropping to his knees.

"I....neeed...chilaquiles...ahhh.."

He needed her to giggle. He needed her to think he was funny. Cool even. And it was a good feeling.

Ava's stomach dropped hearing that John admit he had an Elena of his own. She had asked him, wanting to keep their relationship as open and honest as possible, but she instantly regretted bringing up the topic because she didn't want to know who he had loved before her. But at the same time, Ava wasn't surprised that he had opened his heart to someone else when she had kept hers shut for so many years. It was unfair for her to think he would wait for her. But when he told her his 'Elena' was her, Ava lifted her head to look at him, the undeniable look of surprise written on her face.

John: “Who did you think I meant?”

"I don't know...I didn't think you would--that you..."

Ava's words came out a bit jumbled, trying to figure out how to express to him that what he just told her meant everything. So instead, she took his face within her hands and kissed him deeply, admitting against his lips that she would have killed whomever it was, had he in fact loved someone else. John chuckled, the sound instantly making her smile with happiness. Most men might have found what she said suffocating, but he wasn't like most men.

John: “I would have expected no less, my Queen.”

"I love you."

She whispered between them before finding his lips again, getting lost in their kiss. Soon, she pulled back enough to rest her forehead against John's, telling him that she was sorry for sheilding her heart for so long. She never wanted to hurt him or make him feel unloved because of her fear of getting a broken heart.

John: “Shh...hush. It doesn’t matter. You waited until you were ready...”

She gently shook her head.

"But you shouldn't have had to.."

It wasn't fair to him, when Ava knew in her heart that she had loved him for as long as she could remember. She attributed it to a love a friend felt for another, but she had been in denial. Ava loved John the moment he saved her from those thugs in the alley way in London, and she never stopped.

John: “I never doubted that you loved me, friend or no.”

"Good....You are the one constant in my life that has never hurt me, only loved me. And I hope I've been the same to you. And if I haven't? I will make it up to you, ever single day from here on out."

Ava whispered to him that she loved him, and would always love him, until her last breath before pulling herself closer into his arms and kissing him passionately. She let the kiss linger, her body pressed against his, fitting so perfectly, until finally Ava trailed kisses down his cheek and neck until she laid her head on his chest. Exhaling a slow and content breath as John began to run his fingers gently down her back, Ava shut her eyes getting lost in his soothing touch.

John: “I spent so many years dreaming of this, being here, with you. And the reality is so much better than the dreaming. What did I ever do to deserve you? My dark queen...”

Ava pressed her lips against his peck.

"You made me feel like a Queen before I ever was one."

She softly responded, though her words were filled with a truth that was undeniable. However she was Queen, and there time together was once again coming to an end. Ava shut her eyes with a sigh, dreading this ridiculous Queen meeting that they had to have because Haleigh was acting as mental as her Princess.

"I need to get ready for this meeting..."

Finally Ava lifted herself up onto her elbows to look at John.

"I just don't want to fight with her anymore. I'm so tired of being angry...but everything is still so raw."

Ava's fingers gently drug along the slope of John's chest muscles, unsure of how she was going to handle the meeting once coming face to face with Haleigh.

"Could you brief the rest of the court about what's happened while i'm there. I want to make sure we're all on the same page going into the Red Party."

Hellfire -- The Red Queen’s Suite

Ash: We will live together, then, forever.

"Yes, My Valkyrie."

He replied with a smile, rolling over with her so they could settle in together. He enjoyed this too, it was a different kind of intimacy, cozy and tranquil.

"I like this bed very much."

He announced, remembering her stated purpose from before. She asked him what would be the first thing they did when they got to his cabin. His chest shook with the reverberation of a deep laugh.

"Probably take off our clothes."

He answered knowingly. His fingers brushed up and down her skin slowly. They laid there quietly for a bit, at peace. Then she asked if he thought her foolish for protecting Haleigh and Alek. As much as he would like to see his Queen relieved of the burden of Alek, he did not think Cameron should be allowed to run amok. He shook his head gently.

"No, My Ashley, you are not wrong, nor foolish. I may wish to hurt the little bear sometimes, because he hurts you, but this is something altogether different. Cameron wants to kill Alek merely for doing what he has given permission for him to do. That is not just. A rogue beast must not be permitted to damage the integrity of the pack."

He began, his hand drifting up to play with her hair as he continued his thoughts aloud.

"If we let him even try, Cameron would believe himself unbridled, above reproach. If we let him kill his rival, or his wife, or even the children, other Inner Circle deaths would no doubt follow, whenever the White King thought himself inconvenienced by someone's presence. Thus, his behavior must be deemed unacceptable, by all of us, so that he understands, just as you and I have tolerated the Red King despite his trespasses, so must Cameron."

Hellfire - The Catacombs

She reluctantly suggested they get dressed so she could go to the Queens meeting, which she was not looking forward to.

Alek: Getting dressed sounds like a terrible idea.

"Yeah, I'm truly sorry to even have to bring it up."

Alek: She should beg YOUR forgiveness. That she would support Cameron against you is madness.

Haleigh scoffed.

"Yeah, but it'd be a cold vacation in hell if the Black Queen ever admitted fault."

She replied, but even as they discussed moving on to the next task, she didn't pull away from him. He still held her to him, and she took the opportunity to enjoy it, as it hadn't been something she'd done much before. Usually after sex they separated quickly, getting dressed and returning to other concerns. Now she found she very much liked the post-coital embrace, the extended bliss that followed their union. Her hands rubbed his chest gently, as she asked him if it would help or hurt her chances to just go to the meeting naked.

Alek: I know you’d have MY support.

She grinned widely.

"Excellent..."

She said, though further wit was stymied by his hands gripping her ass. She felt a renewed throb of desire for him then, and bit her bottom lip to stop herself from suggesting a round two. He supposed she'd also have Ashley's support, though how Ava would respond was anybody's guess. He told her it was best not to take the chance, and additionally, that he might get jealous.

"Mmmm...."

She murmured against his kiss.

Alek: And neither of us wants that.

"I don't know.... depends on the level of jealousy we're talking about. Moderately jealous, as I am when I see Brienne wrapped around you, wherein I detest her and hope she quickly fades into distant memory? Or murderously jealous, as Cameron became, seemingly at the drop of a hat?"

She asked, looking up at him as she continued to lean against his chest, her fingertips tracing his scar slowly.
