:: Suddenly finding the beautiful song cut off, Sati paused, suddenly realising that the Merman sneering at them was not, in fact, as enchanting as he had seemed moments before. Frowning, she turned back to Rama ::

Rama: What happened?!

:: Being without her eharing was uncomfortable to say the least, but as she looked up, noticing the sun rising even closer, her eyes widened slightly ::

All: Take to the air and fly for whatever you think your life is worth!

:: For a moment, nothing seemed to happen, but without warning, wings identical in almost every respect to the ones modelled by Kurama sprouted from her back. She flapped them experimentally, and then glanced at everyone else ::

All: Those who can't fly, grab hold to me - I'll take you up with me.

:: A moment later, she took off, and hovered above the others, waiting to make sure that everyone had some method of escape ::

 

[Topaz]

:: Euthalia found herself suddenly disenchanted from the merman's song. She looked up and saw half of there group had begun to fly, so she slowly rose up in the air flying along with them. ::

What happened?

:: She thought to herself, and looked down and noticed Ororo was still standing there, looking dreamily at the merman. ::

What about Ororo?

:: She again thought to herself, wasn't the plan they would teleport to Ororo's after escaping the kingdom before sunset. ::

:: Tobias hears the music and thinks it is absolute crap and is shocked when Sati stops and takes notice of the merman who is singing it. ::

"Come on Sati, we haven't got time for you to pull today, you know our lives are in danger here..."

:: He waves his hand in her face and she takes no notice. He turns to Euth and notices she is exactly the same. ::

"I think I spoke too soon..."

:: Considering Rama is on the other side of the Merman, his voice is drowned out by the singing. Tobias thinks of a way to get Sati and Euth moving and he thinks of taking a leaf out of Rama's book and fly with them. However just before he could grab Sati and Euth, Rama comes along and flies off with them instead . ::

"Thanks Rama, I've got a bad back."

:: Tobias levitates himself and follows Rama. ::

 

[Ikaris]

Shaken by the hypnotic power of the merman's voice being cut off so completely and quickly, Ororo takes a moment to get her bearings back. Gathering her winds about her, she takes to the sky as well, but not before sending an arctic blast of cold air directly at the tank, causing the water to form an inch thick cover of ice. Smirking at the now frantic merman, she uses her winds to push the group towards the gates. The sun is just touching the horizon as they plunge through the gates. The pain of Oberon's spell begins to strike them and they fall from the sky, landing in a heap on the ground. Ororo struggles to her knees, raising a fist to the sky and begins barking out arcane words. There is a blinding flash of light and when it fades the group finds themselves lying in a beautiful garden, surrounded by great trees and flowering bushes. Ahead of them stands a pavillion, with a large pool at its center.

Ororo slowly get to her feet, her body aching like everyone else's. Making her way to Amarisy, she holds a hand over Amy's face and chants in a soft melodic voice. Amy's features slowly fade back into view, though it becomes apparent that Ororo can't completely break Oberon's spell as Amarisy's eye have lost all color, becoming pure white.

Turning to Rama, Ororo speaks soothingly to him: "I'm very sorry but I can't undo the damage his spell caused. We can bandage your feet and stop the pain, but they will have to heal on their own. Even with magical healing, it will be over a day before you can stand without pain."
